SECRET ADMIRER.. [HCS]

EPIPHANY’S SIDE NOTE: happy belated valentines day !! i had this as an idea for a looooong time, and i luckily saved it for a good time. i’m criminally late i know, but it’s STILL february, so i’m not late. (also, shinsō was gonna be in this post, but i decided to put him in a part two with kiri, tamaki, and another character i haven’t decided on yet, because my train of imagination just stopped 😀 so yeah, suggest characters for part two !!)

BAKUGŌ KATSUKI ||

the “guardian angel” secret admirer.

katsuki is the last person on earth you expected to be your secret admirer. after the all it’s quite strange, or at the very least uncommon, isn’t it? not only did it sound like an impossible concept, but it also didn’t seem.. like him. bakugō katsuki was never one to hide, and cower away, especially when it came to difficult confrontations, because he loves challenges, and people rightfully assumed it would’ve been the exact same with romance. though they’re not wrong, as katsuki deals with confrontations just as they say: fearless, and grounded, the conditions are different, and for his unmentionable reasons.

katsuki hated the idea of it. hiding behind the anonymity that is being a secret admirer, and not facing what needed to be faced. it sounds cowardly, but he then realised that it could be the only way he could take action without scaring you off. katsuki knows how he comes off as, and he knows how people view him: scary, intimidating. he’s self aware, which he takes pride in usually, but he suddenly wishes he wasn’t. at the end of the day, he doesn’t want you to be one of those people who are cautious, scared of him, and he definitely doesn’t need any judgement. which is how he became your secret admirer.

katsuki starts off with simple ‘blink-you’ll-miss-it’ actions that speak a thousand words. it’s pulling out your chair for you when you look away for a just a split second, and leaving a pencil or pen on your desk just when you needed it. they eventually progress in intensity when he knows how you react to these actions, as katsuki starts leaving short yet impactful notes, and snacks he knows you like on your chair. which would’ve been a risk on his part, but if there’s one thing about katsuki being a secret admirer, is that he’s careful and calculated, which might be the product of his fears about being judged.

he does this all while really interacting with you at arms length. he acts the exact same around you, just a tad bit more attentive and kind (you noticed that part.) and the only reason why you ever found out about him being the person behind these things, is because you noticed that his handwriting matched your mysterious admirer’s. you confront him shortly after, sounding so certain of your claim to the point that he’s sure he’s about to get rejected.

“and what of it?” his voice trembles just a little bit. the divot in his voice is just barely there. “is it wrong for me to feel this way about someone for once?”

only for the sound of rejection to never ring his ears, as you give him that smile he’s been admiring secretly for such a long time.

katsuki’s the type of secret admirer that makes you feel like somebody always has your back, even if they’re anonymous.

|| TODOROKI SHŌTO

the “accidental, but harmless” secret admirer.

another unexpected secret admirer due to his upfront and direct approach (but i guess that’s what makes them a secret admirer) the concept of a secret admirer to shōto is uncommon, but also common at the same time. shōto’s pretty popular due to his parentage and looks, but his popularity boomed after his performance in the sports festival, which made him bound to attract different types of people alike, including secret admirers. people are quick to assume that shōto’s usually the one being secretly admired and never the other way around, which is true. being a secret admirer is something shōto has never done, and never really planned on doing.

then one day, he knocked on your door, left your (absolute) favorite drink with a tiny note that kindly told you to “please have this” in front of your doorstep, and immediately walked away like nothing occurred. which led to him becoming your secret admirer on pure accident. he wasn’t sure how to feel when he overheard a friend of yours talk about you having a secret admirer, and he felt even more conflicted when he then realised it was only the product of his doing, and not some rival (of your affection) that he needed to best. upon realising this mistake, he was going to apologise and own up to his “mistake”, but seeing that you reacted quite positively by this action of his (though you may not know it), he continued; as he loves seeing you happy, and it also gave him enough time to give you the proper confession you deserve.

it’s spontaneous; leaving notes coated with kindness in your shoe locker when your day felt harder on you, finding your (very needed) lost notebook and leaving it on your table for you to find, giving you your favorite snacks when you crave for them, but saying “someone told me to give this to you” (even though that someone is him), and it’s even gifting you mouth watering dessert that costs A LOT, pricey would be an understatement. shōto’s anonymous actions hold no consistency. which may seem like a negative thing, but he gives you what he believes you’d like and need, while also giving you a good sense of variety at the same time. (this eventually became a reason as to why you had no idea it was shōto) plus, he didn’t exactly intend to become a secret admirer, so could anyone really blame him?

despite hanging out with you frequently, and shielding his romantic advances in a comfortable anonymity, it didn’t take long for shōto to feel as if he’s lying to you big time, and doing you a big disservice by being indirect with his advances (he’s kind of beating himself up over this, when he’s done no wrong). yet, shōto has been obvious about his interest towards you (especially to his friends, and honestly anyone that cared enough to connect the dots too.) a conversation about his next plans led to him asking if he could speak to you in private, and confessing everything; his genuine feelings, and that he’s the secret admirer. he ends up telling you the truth himself, and apologises; for some reason you still don’t know. because telling it to your face is the least he could do; before what the two of you have vanishes into thin air. after this, he’ll only get to dream (or so he thought. what he’s doing isn’t even criminal.)

“it all makes sense now,” you say, staring at him in awe; adoration, like you’re realizing things a whole bunch of stuff anew. “i honestly don’t know how i didn’t know, but don’t ever apologise. i’m glad it’s you.”

shock’s clear on your face, but he quickly discovers that it’s not the bad kind of shock. he mirrors your feelings perfectly well, and is only left to pull you into a hug; not knowing what to do, but incredibly happy that he has you.

shōto’s the secret admirer that knows what you need, want, and deserve. (and you’ll always wonder how you never caught on, because he’s very transparent with being in love with you.)

MIDORIYA IZUKU ||

the “as nervous as they are obvious” secret admirer.

if there’s anyone in this post that’s likely to become a secret admirer (and be perfectly FINE with being one) it’s this guy right here. if you think about it, izuku has been a secret admirer before, just not the romantic “i’m-so-in-love-with-you” type of secret admirer, since he is an all might fanboy, and a bigger all might fanboy in preschool and junior high. the chance of him being noticed by all might in the flesh was a low chance, so he has secretly admired before. izuku views secret admirers in a positive light. secret admirers to him have endearing, and ever since the start of high school, he felt like he’ll never be forced to admire anything, or anyone in the dark again

but he had a feeling he was going to go back to those secretly admiring days of his, when he developed a crush on you; the most interesting and loveliest person he has ever come across, and subconsciously prepared unsigned tokens of appreciation. izuku wasn’t sure why he believed so, but crushes felt always untouchable to him. a part of the reason is because he feels like he’s yards away from your league. he knows how awesome you are as a person, (not to mention how beautiful you are, but physical beauty doesn’t hold much importance) but the bigger picture says it’s because of how accustomed he is to just being shoved to the side, and admiring there. izuku’s confident that he developed, and learned how to put himself out there without much regrets ever since the start of his high school life, but to him; admiring you (even if it’s in secret and from afar) is enough for him.

the first time was fifty percent an accident, and fifty percent on purpose. yes, izuku may have prepared a kind (yet anonymous) little note for you, but he didn’t think he had the courage to actually leave it on your desk for you to find. he had panicked slightly, upon realising that he actually left something there, but seeing your pleasantly surprised reaction ultimately calmed him down for the moment. if bakugō’s careful with his advances, then izuku takes it up a notch. it’s sliding simplified notes in your notebook when he notices you’re struggling to understand a certain part of the lesson, leaving practical things on your chair; like bandaids for your paper cut, and letting you find cute little notes of his adoration that unveil subtle details of his day as the days go by. these notes always manage to refresh your day, and at this point, you’re starting to narrow down your list of suspects.

the idea of being caught when he’s not ready to reveal himself is enough to make him stand on his toes, and the idea of you not wanting to talk to him again after discovering who’s behind these actions, because you found him weird and creepy (though he’s not doing anything wrong. dude’s just in love™️ ) increases his anxieties by thousands. in truth, you always knew izuku was the person behind it all (and you’re not mad at it, because you’re interested in him as well) but the fact that he’s so obvious about it makes it almost painful. if his genuine enthusiasm in talking to you, and getting to know you more wasn’t enough to give himself away, then it’s his demeanour visibly changing whenever you mention something he’s done as a secret admirer.

eventually, izuku couldn’t be in the dark for any longer, while you couldn’t stand and watch your close friend (that you’re crushing on HARD) be this obvious about his feelings for you, and be completely oblivious about yours. so, when he spilled the beans (and his feelings), you ended up doing the same.

“y-you knew?” his cheeks are heavily blushed with red, clearly overwhelmed with a heap of emotions “why didn’t you say anything?” he chokes on air when you come closer, running your thumb on his freckled skin which is burning to the touch. “i’m sorry for not saying anything. it just occurred to me recently. you were so obvious, but i wanted to hear it from you, izu.” you give him a smile he was so accustomed to seeing in the dark, “but feelings are reciprocated, my not-so secret admirer. i like you too.”

izuku’s the “as obvious as he is nervous” secret admirer. you feel just a little mean for not telling him that you knew, but you also adore how he made you feel, and how genuine he was with his “secretly admiring” advances.

BAKUGŌ KATSUKI ||

“are you cheating on me, katsuki?”

you didn’t think he was actually cheating, and you weren’t exactly inspired by anyone.

you just wanted to know what he’d say to that and if he was actually cheating then.. 😕 welp.

but y’know, you just wanted to fuck with his head, make him doubt his sanity a little bit /hj for some reason, he’s always the subject to your antics 💀

coming up with the idea, and asking him was easier said than done; the easiest part of all of it. but how you’d deal with his reaction? that was a different story.

hearing the question itself was successful in distracting him, and giving him whiplash,

but seeing as you were entirely, and utterly serious and not a single camera was in sight.

“what.”

“i asked, if you were—”

“i know, i heard ya loud and clear,” he turns to give you his full attention, “but why the hell would i do that? you think anyone else is capable of handlin’ me?”

seeing that you were not satisfied with his answer, he sighs, absolutely revolted, and repulsed by the idea of cheating on you.

“what’s this?” you ask, as he hands you your phone; unlocked. his lockscreen that is a picture of you stares right back at you.

“check every single thing if you want to make things sure.” as if to make things easier for you, he opens his messaging app.

“but just so you know, i’d never.. do that. still not sure where you got that stupid idea.” his face scrunches up in authentic disgust, and he flicks your forehead.

“ouch! that hurt, katsuki!”

“listen, and remember this, then.” he ignores you, “i may be a shithead, and a complete asshole. but y’know..”

“y’know what?”

“—’m not completely used to this relationship thing, and you know that. yet, you’re still willing to try things out with me. sometimes i wonder if i even deserve it.”

“fucking up is a scary thought. i could just shit myself if i think about it too much.” you gasp at the comment, laughing at the idea of him doing something like that. it doesn’t sound like something he’d do.

katsuki huffs, rolling his eyes; an act of concealing his relief. “so, fuck no. i haven’t been cheating on you, and will never. ‘m serious about that. but, you’re free to check things for yourself.”

if you tell him that you were just joking with him, and that you don’t think he’s actually cheating, he’s gonna be so done with you and your foolery

|| TODOROKI SHŌTO

“shōto, have you been cheating on me?”

seeing that mina did this to her s/o, this made you curious of your own lover, and what could come out of asking.

no, you’re not doubting his loyalty, you just like to know how shōto would respond to such a question.

plus you want to vibe check his ass 🌝

despite this being a result of you being curious, and eager to know his answer, you were still pretty anxious. if he ended up fessing up something he did fr, it might just be your (real) 13th reason 😭

but then again, it’s shōto we’re talking about. you have faith in him🧎‍♀️

you were able to catch your boyfriend at a good time, as this allows you to gain an authentic answer from shōto.

he was slurping down his favorite soba noodles when you randomly questioned him, and when your words finally sinked into his mind, the slurping came to an abrupt halt.

you could say that he lost his appetite at the idea of cheating on you 💀

“no, never.” shōto replies, with noodles still in his mouth. he chews on the remaining noodles, swallowing them down.

“did i do something wrong?” he asks. though his expression still contained some ounce of neutrality, you could tell by looking at his eyes, he’s saddened at the concept.

he wonders what gave you that idea, and thinks hard. ofc he doesn’t find anything.

you’re like.. the first and only person he developed the feels ™️ for, and that has made him feel this way. so, the idea of breaking, and betraying your trust, is maddening.

“i did, didn’t i? that’s why you’re asking..” he sets down his utensils to get closer to you.

“i can’t think of anything i’ve done wrong, but i’d like to make up for it.”

he gets a hold of your hand, and starts playing with your fingers, “i want you to know how i’ve always felt about you.”

it’s about time you tell him.

“shōto, it was a joke. i don’t think you’ve actually cheated on me,” you press a kiss on his cheek, “i know you love me waaaay too much.”

shōto offers a small smile in return, and slowly starts to finish his soba, the tip of his ears now blushed in red.

so, shōto definitely passes the vibe check 🌝😎

MIDORIYA IZUKU ||

“izuku, have you been seeing secretly someone i’m not completely aware of?” 🙁🤨

poor him tbh.

like the other two, curiosity got the best of you.

but this happened to pop up during the busiest time regarding class activity, making it impossible to go on any weekly couple dates, or see each other like usual

and that’s in general.

this was also so conveniently timed, your reasoning behind asking such a cursed question has been split into two 💀

though you’re certain that izuku’s not the type, you definitely want to know if he has any interesting, and new to say. though it’s still fine if he didn’t.

catching him at a good time was challenging considering how busy the two of you have been.

and that he’s the most workaholic-y dude out of the main three 😀

but getting the question out was a lot easier, since izuku’s well.. izuku. though he’s multitasking, you could clearly tell that he’s still hearing, and listening to your every word.

which is why his expression dropped in mortification and the pen in his hand fell, when you went straight to the chase.

“w-what?” he repeats, shocked at the idea of literally breaking your trust, seeing, and harboring feelings for someone that isn’t you, is mind boggling and literally idiotic 💀

“no! never. i haven’t, but.. why do you ask? what made you think that way, y/n?” abandoning his current task, he turns to you, and is immediately lost in thought, left to think more about his behavior as of recent.

he thought about it so hard, you were convinced that his brain was going to give out 😦

he breaks the silence, “it’s because of the lack of time together?”

“i’m sorry, you might be getting sick of me saying it, but i really am!” if you looked closely, his eyes are starting to look glassier in appearance “i know you say that i overexert myself at times, which is true. i don’t even realize i am, i’m going to work on it though, i promise!”

seeing him like this is literally breaking your heart 🙁 you should definitely end his suffering by breaking the news to him.

“izuku, it’s okay.” you reassure him, “we were all equally busy these past few weeks, and i’m honestly proud seeing you continuously work hard. just because we haven’t been out on any dates lately, doesn’t mean you’re automatically disloyal to me. i know you.”

“so then why—”

“i was curious. i’m sorry for stopping your heart like that, ‘zuku.” because it really felt like it did for a second 💀 this has him crying and throwing up on the inside 😭

“oh, alright..” he mumbles, faltering for a split second. but his eyes light up, as if he remembered something special.

“so, can i take you out on a date?”

“sure, when?”

“right now.”

“oh?”

“can i please take you out on a date? right now? if you want. i’m.. actually done with all of my stuff for the day.”

his eyes light up, and continue to sparkle with elation and joy, when you say yes, returning his enthusiasm.

Girl do not apologize for being in school. Your getting a whole ass education. And im also saying this cause I’m in college rn but I checked out your blog and you seem to be balancing very well. But just know school should come first before tumblr. I can tell you are a very talented writer and I can wait for what you post but its important not stress yourself.

i was super relieve when i read this (i still feel that way when i re-read it in all honesty) though i don’t post daily on tumblr, it’s not like.. doing absolutely nothing during my time away from the app🧎‍♀️

i didn’t really value my school work and attendance during my last school year, because i was always thinking about what to post (which is so funny because i wasn’t a daily uploader back then either)

so i decided to change things, and yeah, that’s where i am rn 💀 my grades are so much better, and i make a regular appearance in my class attendance, but my current concern has always been my “once in a blue moon” type of uploading schedule.

so yeah, this was incredibly reassuring, thank you so much!
