contrary to (possibly) popular belief, the famous magician, who is named lyney, isn't that fond of sweets.

oranges, however, are an exception.

eating this fruit with lyney had become some sort of routine for the two of you. it became like an unspoken rule—that if one of you has an orange, you will split it into perfect halves and share it with the other.

even when both of your schedules get quite hectic, at the end, you two always end up eating oranges on a random bench. sometimes in silence, or sometimes one would tell a story and the other would listen quite intently while peeling the fruit.

although lyney is the talkative type, there are times when he really doesn't know how to say something. thank you for everything. i like your company. you did great today. i love you. these are all things that lyney can't bring himself to say.

so instead, he hands you the other half of his orange and asks, "would you like to share with me?"

When Diluc first kisses you, his touch and kiss is so brief, it takes you a moment to realize what had just happened. You can see the confliction in his face as he longs to quench the burning desire of your lips on his again, aching and longing for your skin on his just a little longer.

When Diluc first kisses you, you can feel him hesitate to lean back in ; hesitate to kiss you longer, deeper. The sensation lingers in his fingertips. Your warmth is still on his lips. His eyes are staring, desperately, into yours.

When Diluc first kisses you, it's easy to see how he fights within himself — it's that look he always gives after he acts recklessly, fear and anxiety in his beautiful ruby eyes. He admits to himself that he's scared to indulge himself in what he's not sure he deserves, and you can hear it in the heartbeat that knocks against the palm of your hand as it lay on his chest.

When Diluc first kisses you, the immediate act of your lips on his again silencess his worries and doubts. His eyes are no longer open, and his body dives deep into the sensations of your skin against the other's.

౨ৎ genshin spoilers, neuvillette + reader have a daughter, mentions of nightmares and drowning, small timeskip

A quiet “Father?” rouses Neuvillette from his slumber.

His usual elegance is forgotten, his movements slow and clumsy as sleep addles his mind. It’s times like this where he’s not the Chief Justice of Fontaine, but rather just Neuvillette: someone who enjoys feeding the otters by the shore and having brunch with the Melusines.

And then he sees the small figure standing at his bedside.

Jerking away from your arms, Neuvillette peers over the edge of the bed at his daughter. Her braid that he neatly plaited hours ago is now wild, the untamed strands of blue and white mirroring his own. A trembling hand clutches her otter plushie to her chest. Brows furrowing, he reaches out to steady it.

“What is it, dear?” he questions, keeping his voice low to not wake you.

His daughter flushes a deep red, seemingly hesitating before taking a stuttering breath. “May I please sleep here tonight, Papa?” she whimpers, and at the sound of the childish title she once used to call him, Neuvillette slides a gentle arm around her and helps her crawl under the duvet.

The clock on the wall ticks in time to her breathing as she settles down next to him, her cold little feet warming themselves against his legs. Moonlight bathes the room as Neuvillette chases after the fading tendrils of sleep, exhausted from his hours spent in the courtroom. His eyes are nearly closed when his daughter speaks again, the words muffled by the plushie tucked in between them.

“I had that dream again where it rains really hard,” she finally whispers, her voice growing smaller and smaller like a ship on the horizon. “Our home flooded and you were trapped and I couldn’t get you out—” A sob cuts her off, her breathing now faster and dissonant to the sound of the clock hand moving.

Her outburst startles Neuvillette, and he struggles to rein his own tears in as guilt sinks in his stomach like an anchor at the sight of her fear. He wants to keep her here forever—tucked into his side and away from her nightmares and the rest of the cold, prying world. But the chest of outgrown baby clothes in his closet and the changing cries of Papa! to Father remind him that she can't stay his little girl forever.

“It’s okay, sweetheart,” he hushes, his voice cutting through her hiccups, “it was just a dream.” He tilts her chin up with his hand until glassy eyes meet his gaze, fingers swiping across her cheeks to rid of the tears. “Do you remember what we say when it rains?” he asks, and watches as her expression brightens at his question.

“Hydro Dragon,” she begins, kicking her legs against his own in excitement until a large hand steadies them, wary of your sleeping figure behind him. Neuvillette gives her a reassuring smile before joining her in a hushed whisper. “Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon, don’t cry!” Quiet giggles leave her body at the familiar bedtime story he used to recite to her, her previous panic forgotten in the embrace of her father's arms.

“So next time you happen to have a nightmare and I’m not there,” he reminds her gently, “remember the story of the Hydro Dragon, and everything will be all right.”

And he knows it will be all right, because it hasn’t rained in Fontaine for many, many years.

Sober Thoughts

warnings : alcohol consumption, kazuha is way too drunk to stand (so he doesn't), set somewhere around the aftermath of the Tomo incident and the vision hunt . synopsis : Kazuha finds himself in quite the predicament when he enters a tavern for a quiet meal and rooming. It was the first time Kazuha had ever been so drunk to where he couldn't stand. Not only does he pick up some new acquaintances, but he also experiences another new "first." pairing : Kaedehara Kazuha x gn!Reader genre : fluff, no established relationship, a soft and budding romance. wc : 354 words

notes : i love kaedehara kazuha. — on another note, if i were to continue this with a part 2, you guys would be painfully pining for each other i can just sense it (i say as the writer). i also feel the need to make character banners but ii. don't really want to GHEHA

— Kazuha was never one to seek commotion. Nor brazenly drink as if he were a heavy drinker. Nor get so wasted that the room itself were spinning.

Kazuha did not often experience many "firsts." The many "firsts" Kazuha had once claimed under his belt were already taken and gone, and the many he had experienced recently were not the most positive "firsts."

But, this "first" was quite unlike any of his other ones. He wasn't sure how, despite how quietly he walked into the tavern, he was noticed by the rowdiest bunch there ... Though, there was no negative connotation to his words — after all, Kazuha was barely walking straight lines due to partnered drinking with the few.

It had only been a moment, after he sat alone and away from the life of the party, that he had noticed you — your mug of beer half empty and you sober smile apparent on your face as you laughed at the antics of the other men in the loud tavern.

There was a thought he had for a split second, but he couldn't recall it after snapping to his senses after you both had made sudden eye contact.

He gave a sheepish smile. It was small and soft, just like most of the man's features. His wave was just as gentle as the look on his flushed face — a result of the many jugs of beer he had happily chugged down with the roughest bunch there in the building.

You, almost too shy to reply to his gesture, had waved back before quickly taking another sip of your beer. The cup covered your face, and, hopefully, the apparent fluster on it as well. You could feel your cheeks getting hot.

Kazuha's grin, vibrant and lopsided, had widened. In that moment, he remembered what he had thought when his eyes had first laid themselves on your figure — a moment he'd be sure to remember as the warm lights of the tavern complimented your figure.

'How beautiful.'

He could not take his eyes off you that night, no matter how many voices and sounds were telling him to.

RULES (for reqs!)

— I do not write for fem readers. I always have difficulty finding blogs and fics for male/ftm readers, and as one myself, i'd like to keep my space safe for those also trying to find mlm content. However, that does not mean I don't write for gn readers! That will be my main go-to. :)

— Keep your requests at least 2-3 sentences long! Things like, "(Character) x (Insert Trait) Reader" are hard for me to work with, so i'd appreciate if you could lengthen it out for me; give me some ideas! ^^

— Please keep character requests at max 3-4 characters per request. Just because it says "per request", does not mean that you go sending multiple asks of the same prompt but with different characters, though. ^^

— Don't be afraid to chatter about your requests/brainrots with me in your requests! In fact, it's highly encouraged!! I love hearing people talk about their brainrots and adding onto them with some of my ideas. It makes writing all the more fun!

— As far as I know, the only genres i will not write for is dark/taboo content. So, things like fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, suggestive, platonic, and things of the like is a-ok! If you're not sure what falls under dark/taboo content, don't be afraid to ask!

— I will not write for any minors. Any characters -18 are immediately off my writing list. ^^

— I don't write requests in order, and only write for requests I want to write for. Just a friendly reminder to not push anything on to me, especially since all my writing is for free. :)
