Here are the official Gruvia Week 2024 prompts! Sorry for the delay. Due to this, please don’t be discouraged if your pieces are late. Truthfully, I wasn’t going to do Gruvia Week this year if not for some wonderful and dedicated fans that encouraged me to keep the tradition going and helped to organize it. It has been over a decade, it would be sad to see it go! 11 years, 12 editions later, here we are.
Just like in previous years these prompts are not complicated, but they are broad and meant to make you think. Be creative. Interpret them however you see fit. If you don’t know what a word means, look it up. Specific and basic prompts would result in different versions/entries of the same thing. That’s why Gruvia Week is so successful every year; imagination. Prompts for this event are always different every year. No repeats! See: Previous Gruvia Week editions
Those who are new to the week, unfamiliar, or would like to simply rehash, please click here to learn how to participate. Also be sure to follow the rules and guidelines. Feel free to ask questions, however please check this blog’s previous posts before submitting them. It’s possible your question could have already been answered.
Reminder: All pieces must be new. Old works will not be reblogged/included in the week. Be sure to specify the day/prompt used in your post. If you don’t have a tumblr, you can still participate. Post your work on any social media platform for that target audience. Participate anywhere; the more the merrier! However, if you’d like your work to be posted/featured here as well, be sure to submit it to this blog. Or submit the link to it (if posted on another platform such as twitter, instagram, wattpad, ao3, etc).
Reminders:
Tag your work with #gruvia week (with the space) within the first five tags.
Avoid using links in your post, as there is a chance it will not show up in the tags. Try using only five tags and no links if your post does not appear. If you must use a link, make sure it shows in the tags.
If your work contains an image or gif, make sure it’s within tumblr’s photo dimensions and size limits. Sometimes big images cause posts to not appear in tags.
It is YOUR responsibility to make sure your post shows up in the mobile and/or pc tags, so be sure to check if it does.
Gruvia Week will be held from April 1st - April 7th as always. Get ready and get creative!
Art by @goodnightlover. And big thank you to all that helped organize this year: @gruviasama @kimwannabewatermage @stopbeingrude. ♡

Gruvia Week 2023 - Day 2: Whisper
Faint moonlight cast a soft glow inside a small room of an old rickety inn as sounds of steady breathing coming from the silhouettes of two people sharing a single bed filled the silence of the night. Outside the old inn, everything was covered in white as powdery snow kept on falling from the dark sky. From time to time, the cold howling wind would blow giving the place an eerie vibe.
Such a scene was a normal occurrence up in the Northern Mountains of Fiore.
Back inside the small room, one of the two occupants was fast asleep while the other one was wide awake listening to nature’s creepy lullaby. Lying on their sides with their backs on each other, Juvia’s only indication that her ice mage companion was in slumber was his calm breathing. Unlike the unbothered man, the water mage couldn’t fall asleep.
Aside from the sound of the wind that didn’t really bother her that much, the fact that she was sharing a bed with the dark-haired man beside her was giving her heart an overdrive.
Earlier when they arrived looking for rooms to stay overnight, the cliché plot of not having enough available rooms occurred and left them with no choice.
They were on a mission to capture some rouge mages hiding in the snowy mountains and it was an easy job, but unfortunately, the weather hindered them from completing it on time.
Though the environment was to their advantage, risking being caught in a snowstorm was not part of their plan. Those fugitive mages they were tracking down won’t be able to leave the mountain anyway, so they decided to find a temporary shelter.
As the inn was the only lodging place they could find around the area, they didn’t have any options and it was Gray who decided that they would just share the room. It’s not like it was the first time they would be doing that.
It’s been a few months since the chaotic hundred years quest ended and Gray’s team returned. Within those months Juvia has gone on missions with the ice mage a few times.
The first one was her idea.
She noticed how Gray was no longer trying to pretend to avoid her or deflect her affections, so she tried her luck and asked him to go on a job together. He agreed, saying that would be a good way to catch up with each other after such a long time of not working together.  That one time was followed by another and then some more until going on missions more than a few times in a month became a routine. Unless necessary, Gray rarely went on a mission with his team. Most of the time it was him asking her to go on those jobs together.
To say that the water mage was happy about the sudden change between them was an understatement.
She was ecstatic.
In the past, it was always her initiating everything. She was the one asking Gray to go out with her, go on missions with her, and eat out with her. But recently it was him asking her to do things with him despite all the lame reasons he was giving every time that he did so.
Unable to force herself to sleep, Juvia opened her eyes and studied the empty wall of the room in front of her. Behind her, she could feel the slight rise and fall of Gray’s breathing.
When the battle is over, I’ll give you my answer…
She’s my power to live…
Out of nowhere, those words echoed in her head as her hand clutched the edge of her pillow.
Juvia knew without a doubt how Gray feels about her.
It’s certain that she occupies a place in his heart and she’s glad that Gray was getting more comfortable when it comes to showing his emotions. It’s just that she can’t stop herself from thinking of how long they are going to keep their unclear understanding.
With that thought, a wistful smile tugged on the sides of her lips.
Of course, if Gray didn’t want to do anything about it, she won’t force him. But at the end of the day, she’s still just a human and she could not avoid having hopes and expectations.
Deep inside her, she knew she was yearning for that answer that he promised her.
There were things she wanted to do and say but cannot due to their current relationship as nakamas who obviously harbor romantic feelings for each other but without an actual romantic relationship.
Her thoughts were futile.
There’s no point in thinking about such things. She had long proclaimed what she feels, and she already did what she had to do about her feelings in excessive ways. It’s no longer up to her how her relationship with Gray would further develop. If worse comes to worst, she could just continue loving him in her own way and cast away her hopes.
With that in mind, Juvia told herself to sleep and rest because she’ll need her energy to complete their mission when morning comes. She sighed once more and tried to block her train of thoughts that kept on nagging her.
When the wind blew once more, she unconsciously tugged her blanket to ward off the cold, but somehow it got tangled up with one of Gray’s legs and she felt the man behind her shift along with the force of her movement. He rolled on his other side and he’s now facing her back. She bit down on her lip when she felt his breath at the back of her head.
“Juv…”
Juvia’s body went rigid when she heard a low voice that seemed to be calling her name. Was Juvia dreaming already? She asked herself confusedly. Or maybe she was thinking too much and just hearing things?
But she was sure that it was Gray’s voice that she heard.
Was he sleep talking and calling out her name?
“Juvia,” there it goes again and this time it wasn’t just Gray’s voice that she could hear. She could also feel his hand on her side as his arm slowly moved around her waist. With a gentle tug, he pulled her closer to his chest and buried his face in the crook of her neck. “Can’t sleep?” he asked in a sleepy voice, his hot breath tickling her sensitive skin.
Juvia’s own breathing halted as her heartbeat hammered inside her chest, her face flushed and her mind frozen.
What just happened?
What is Gray-sama doing?!
Since Gray’s face was on Juvia’s neck, she felt it when his mouth moved, and a smile formed on his lips. “G-Gray-s-sama?”
“Hmm?”
Juvia swallowed hard when she heard his sexy hum. She was certain it was still snowing outside, and the temperature was still freezing cold, but she could feel herself heating up.
She had shared a room and a bed with Gray before. More than a few times, she had embraced and tackled him. They also shared a few physical contacts before, but as far as Juvia could remember, Gray had never initiated such intimate physical interaction.
“Gray-sama,” she called out again and though she didn’t stutter, her voice was a little hoarse. “Wh-why are you holding Juvia like this?”
Instead of responding to her question, Gray only tightened his arm around her. With how close their bodies were, Juvia could feel that she was not the only one whose heart was beating fast. After a few minutes of silence with only their breathing filling the room, Gray finally said something. “Am I not allowed to hold you like this?”
What?
Did she hear him right?
How was she supposed to answer that?
Obviously, she won’t stop him from holding her like that. But there’s more to that question that made her unable to think properly.
Juvia was just thinking about so many things, but why is Juvia’s mind suddenly blank!?  Juvia thought as she nibbled her lip.
The sudden turn of events was something she wasn’t expecting at all!
In the silence of the night Gray’s chuckle resonated within the room. “Don’t think too much about it,” he whispered. “I love you.”

Gruvia Week 2023 Day 1:
REFLECTION
Drip drip drop.
The familiar sound of raindrops hitting the ground made Juvia frown as she slowly woke from her comfortable slumber. From the soft sound coming from the slightly opened window, she could tell that it was not yet pouring hard outside but the drizzle was gradually turning into a steady rain.
Leisurely, Juvia opened her eyes. The sight that greeted her deliberately made her smile. Her right hand automatically lifted to caress the face of the man sleeping beside her and her gentle touch made his brows twitch, but he didn’t stir.
Thinking that her touch and the sound of the rain might disturb her beloved’s sleep, the blue-haired mage carefully withdrew her hand as she gently free herself from the arms that were holding her and keeping her warm on that rather cold morning. She bit down a giggle when she heard the man groan in protest when she successfully got off the bed.
Juvia randomly picked up the discarded shirt at the foot of the bed and lazily put it on as she walked towards the window, completely oblivious of the dark sleepy eyes that followed her every move the moment she left the bed.
Her plan was to properly close the window and go back to sleep. But when she saw the scene outside and her gaze landed on the ground where she could see the rainwater rapidly making puddles, she could not help to pause and watch.
In the past, Juvia hated the rain.
In her mind, it brought her nothing but sorrow.
The people around her disliked and avoided her because of the gloom that surrounded her and the rain that always followed her. She grew up under scrutiny and hate because wherever she went, there was always rain. But watching the raindrops hit the ground and listening to its sound, Juvia could no longer feel the sorrow in her heart.
But those were all behind her.
She’s no longer the Rain Woman.
Her gaze shifted from the puddles to the windowpane where she could see herself, her blue eyes staring back at her. A serene smile lifted the sides of her lips.
The woman she could see reflected in the glass no longer has loneliness in her eyes. All that she could see is a woman happily smiling back at her.
Suddenly, she felt a pair of strong arms circling around her waist and a set of deep, dark eyes tenderly looked at her through their reflections on the glass. Her smile widened as she leaned back and relished in the warmth of his embrace.
“Are you okay?” he asked in a hoarse voice that made her body tingle.
“Hmmm,” she hummed nodding her head. Her fingers started to slowly caress his arms and she could feel his muscles reacting to her touch. “Did Juvia wake you up, Gray-sama?”
Hearing her sweet voice and not detecting any sadness from her, Gray’s worry subsided a little. He was just watching her when she left the bed but when she stopped to watch the rain, he got a little anxious thinking that the weather made her upset.
“Not really,” he replied. He was already awake when she caressed his face. He was just pretending to sleep and was waiting for what else Juvia would do. “Are you bothered by the rain?” he asked again as he bend down his head and started planting soft kisses on her shoulder that made her bite her lip.
“N-o! Gray-sama!” she gasped when Gray suddenly licked her pale skin and his hands started to wander. She knew what he was doing. The ice mage was probably thinking that the rain was reminding her of the past and he was trying to distract her thoughts.
Juvia caught Gray’s hands and intertwined their fingers. “Gray-sama, Juvia is fine,” she said trying to control her breathing before turning around to face him. “Juvia is just watching the rain.”
“Why?” he frowned. Gray knew how much Juvia disliked the rain. He knew that half of her life was tormented because of it, and he had never seen her enjoy such weather before.
“Juvia never really liked the rain before. And just now, it looked so peaceful. When Juvia watched the water hitting the ground, it didn’t feel sad,” she explained while looking into his eyes seriously. In her eyes, he could clearly see tenderness and joy. It’s very different from the first time he saw her.
“Gray-sama, the rain never felt like that before. It was always sad and gloomy. But now, it’s different. Ever since you stopped the rain, it never felt so sad anymore and now Juvia can watch the rain without the pain in her heart. Juvia is really thankful to you. You didn’t just show Juvia the sun, but you also helped Juvia slowly appreciate the rain.”
Gray smiled as he cupped Juvia’s face in his hands. “I’m glad that you feel that way,” he gently said. “But you don’t need to thank me. That time I was just doing my best to stop you,” he chuckled as memories of their first meeting flashed in his mind before he captured Juvia’s lips for a quick kiss. “If there’s anyone who should be grateful, that’s me,” he added planting another kiss on the side of her lips. His hands found their way on the water mage’s spine as they slowly moved down her butt and effortlessly he lifted her up on the windowsill. “When you came into my life you brought along the warmth that I’d been seeking all my life.”
For a moment, Juvia was speechless and was just staring at Gray. The ice mage was never one to talk too much about what he felt. Though Juvia knew how much Gray feels about her, she never really expected him to say much about it. It’s just how he is and she’s already happy to know that she’s in his heart. But hearing him say those words filled her heart with so much happiness. Her eyes moistened as she tried to stop her happy tears from falling.
“Gray-sama,” she softly called out.
“Hmm?” Gray was looking at her affectionately and the love reflected in his eyes mirrored her own feelings for him.
“I love you,” she whispered.
Gray chuckled again when he saw the tear that fell on her cheek before kissing it away. “We both know that I love you too, so why are you crying?” he teased as he playfully pinched her cheek. Juvia pouted and it only made Gray laugh even more before he kissed her again. This time it was the kind of kiss that demanded a response and in no time Juvia was kissing him back enthusiastically.
“I love you,” Gray panted in between their kisses before carrying Juvia back to bed.
Outside, the rain was still pouring but the rhythm each raindrop made was like music for them as their hearts danced together in love.

Hello everyone! I am trying to make this story as short as possible, since I just want to feed my gruvia heart haha. So please don't be surprised if it's kinda fast-paced... I'll try to make this wholesome and relaxing. No drama (maybe). Might be cliche, but hey, why not?
Please don't mind the timestamps! They're not relevant to the story unless stated. English isn't also my first language so apologies in advance for the grammatical errors. Moreover, characters might sound a little bit ooc.
Lastly, I can tag you guys if you want to but I cannot promise that the taglist is always updated since all chapters are already queued.
Thank you for your support and I hope you guys will enjoy it!

Gruvia Love Love Fest (Bonus - Punishment)
Notes: Well, this is amazingly late, but I kind of burned out on writing smut during the Love-Love Fest week and didn’t get the inspiration for this piece back until recently. Also, momocicerone is partly responsible for this, she’s the one who wanted Harry Potter AU Gruvia smut involving the Room of Requirement. Hope you enjoy it, Deysi! :^)
Warning: Adult content including sex, bondage, spanking, and dominance and submission.
As Gray made his way down the corridor towards the dungeon Potions was held in, he noticed that vapor with an intriguing odor was already wafting out of the door. For the more difficult potions they were learning now, towards the end of their N.E.W.T. studies, their professor liked to make a sample of them, to show them what the end result should be like.
Once he walked further into the room, the scent of the potion reminded him of a few different pleasant scents at once, but managed to somehow be more appealing than any simple combination of them could be. A feeling of contentment stole over him the more of it he inhaled. The sample potion itself was kept in a large golden cauldron, with steam rising from it in perfect spirals. Glancing inside, he notice that the liquid had an iridescent sheen to it, like mother-of-pearl.

For Gray to turn into Juvia because of the Love Bond alchemy says a lot about how he truly feels for Juvia. Not to mention the fact that his ideal happy life is to be with his family and to have a son with Juvia.
Yes, she fell first... But obviously, he fell harder 🙂

~ Keeping Connected ~ ~ <3
Latest drabble now up!  (i’ll finish my actual stories soon..)
See it on FF here
Based on FT: 100 Year Quest chapter 113 cover, you know what it is ;)
Keeping Connected
Juvia was paced around her room in her pyjama set, biting her lip as she glanced at the clock. One thing Juvia admitted was she wasn’t particularly great at being patient. Although she was sure the guild might argue differently.
‘I’d imagined he’d be finished by now, right?’ she thought to herself.
All day she had been waiting for the clock to turn to 7pm, perfectly timing her entire day so she’d be fed, showered and ready for that exact time. But currently it was 5 past, and she just couldn’t keep still.
She glanced at the lacrima phone lying on her bed and turned her head away, knowing however long she looked at the phone, it wasn’t going to make him call any sooner.
She sighed and wriggled her toes in her fluffy cream carpet she was pacing upon, thinking of the reasons why he was late calling, but her thoughts were interrupted by a jiggle going off and the lacrima screen lighting up.
She almost pounced on the thing, but managed to keep hold of her nerves and wait for the second jiggle before answering. She couldn’t make out that she had been waiting all day for the thing to ring, although that’s exactly what he would assume she’d been doing.
‘Hello?’ She said in a small voice. She’d never owned a personal lacrima before as she never thought of much use for it, but the last time Team Natsu had magically appeared once again in their guild, Gray had gotten her one before they had to leave again. Saying something about not knowing how long this mission will go on for, or when they next might be back for a break, and it’d be good for them to keep in touch for the time in between.
‘Hey’, a husky voice replied back.
Juvia screamed internally. She didn’t realise how much she missed his voice and why it had to sound so much sexier over lacrima.
‘Hi’ she breathed. It was actually working. Gray was mavis knows where across the world, but now he was basically right in Juvia’s ear, the thought almost making her giggle.
‘Is that all you’re going to say?’ Gray replied with a chuckle.
Juvia started to panic, ‘ummmmm…’. With her excitement taking all her attention, no words or conversational ideas were forming in her mind.
Gray laughed again at the usual whirlwind that lived in that girl’s head. ‘It’s all right, so how was your day?’
Her day? What did she do apart from prepare for this call? She couldn’t tell him that! ‘Ah it was fine thankyou Gray-sama, just a usual day at the guild really. How was yours?
‘Ah it was a busy one. We left the map with Natsu for a split second and somehow ended up in a small village in the complete opposite way, but for the most part it’s been fine.’
Juvia chuckled at the tale of her hectic friends, ‘So a typical day for you then as well.’ she said with a smile. ‘Do you know your plan for your next location?’
‘Hmmmm, I think Erza has managed to find us back onto the right path, then onto the next dragon location really. Sorry I can’t go into too much detail about the mission…’
Juvia responded with a hmmm. She sat back on her heels on her bed, cuddling her gray sama love pillow she always kept there.
‘Although you’d love it at this place we’ve ended up at, I think there’s some festival going on around the main castle walls. We’ll have to try and find this place again and join in next time.’
Juvia’s heart swelled, she was still getting used to these odd moments for Gray when he planned their ‘not-date’ dates, whether he realised it or not. ‘I’d really like that Gray-sama’.
There were some bickering voices in the back, and Gray let out a slightly irritated sigh. ‘Looks like I better get back to the group, sorry we didn’t get to talk for long’.
‘No worries Gray-sama, it was nice to hear your voice’.
‘…yours too, and… I hope getting you the lacrima wasn’t too strange. I just thought that even when we’re apart…’
‘Our hearts will always be connected!’ Juvia finished triumphantly.
“Sure Juvia.’ Gray said with a low laugh. That wasn’t exactly what he was going to say, but it seemed to please her. ‘Talk soon, cya.’
‘Bye Gray-sama!’
The line disconnected to Juvia’s dismay, but she rolled onto her back and squealed again, legs wiggling in the air. She suddenly froze to make sure the line was fully disconnected, and seeing the screen blank she carried on her mini celebration.
Juvia was curious how often Gray would end up calling her, but knowing he had found them a way to communicate when they were apart filled her with joy and she was excited to see what else will change between them in the future.
~~ Hope you enjoyed uwu ~~

An Unforgettable Encounter
Gray and the Gang decided to go on a secluded beach resort for vacation...
It was a beautiful, quiet place, perfect for a few days of peaceful relaxation away from the bustling city.
On the first night of their stay, Gray decided to enjoy the seaside breeze and went out of his room to walk at the beach. After few minutes of walking he reached a small cliff with few big rocks where you can sit down enjoy the moon and stars while listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore.
He decided to sit there for a while and enjoy te scenery. As he got closer to one of the rocks, he saw someone sitting behind it.
It's a woman with long blue hair wearing a blue summer dress. The night breeze was blowing her hair making it look like the ocean waves. She looked so solemn and so Gray decided not to disturb her.
As he was turning around to go back to the beach house the woman looked at him and gave him a soft smile. "Do you also like watching the sea?" She asked.
"Uhm, sort of?" He uncertainty replied.
"Isn't it beautiful?" she asked again.
"You could say that," he shrugged. "I'm not really into admiring nature. I was just walking around."
"Would you like to sit for a while and try watching the skies and the sea? Juvia won't mind sharing this spot with you."
Gray's dark eyes studied the woman in front of him and with the help of the moon he was able to see her sweet smile. She looked harmless and nice so he decided to accept her offer. "Are you a guest, too?" He asked. "I'm Gray," he added offering his hand.
The bluenette shyly looked at his hand before briefly shaking it and quickly retracting her hand. "My name is Juvia," she quietly said. "Juvia knows the owner of the beach house and sometimes Juvia help out when there are lots of guests, so you could say I work here, Gray-sama."
"I see, but you don't need to be too formal. You can just call me Gray."
Juvia just smiled. "Is Gray-sama staying for long?"
"Just a few days."
Juvia smiled nodded and gave him another smile. "If you like, you can come here to enjoy the night breeze and sound of the ocean during your stay. Juvia is usually just here all alone. A company for a few days will be a welcome change."
Gray didn't know what came over him but he found himself nodding his head and the following night he came at the cliff again and true to her word, Juvia was there watching the sea.
For the next few days, it became his nightly routine to come and talk to her at night. They talk about anything and he actually enjoyed his time talking to her.
On the day that he's about to leave with his friends, Gray was hesitant and keeps on looking around as they were checking out. The night before, he asked Juvia to meet him in the morning before he leaves.
She didn't say she would but he was hoping.
"Gray!" He heard Natsu calling his name. "What are you still waiting for? We gotta hurry up!"
Gray scowled at his friend. "Can't you just wait for a few minutes!?"
"What for?"
He ignored Natsu and went straight to the front desk where a long haired man with lots of piercing was busy talking with Erza.
"Excuse me, uhm... I just want to ask if Juvia will be here today?"
"Juvia?" Erza looked at him in confusion but he ignored her.
He was seriously looking at the man who seemed to be surprised with his question. "How did you know her?"
"Uhm, I kinda met her at the cliff and we'd been talking since my first night here."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, is there a problem?"
"Fuck," the long haired man suddenly cursed. "You've got to be kidding me. Is this her," he asked again as he pulled out an old photo and showed it to him.
And indeed it was Juvia.
"Man, if you're serious about meeting her then I'm sorry. She won't be here today or ever. She's been dead for 4 years now."

WE GOT ANOTHER CHILD (not cannon… yet)
Okay soooo… Gray and Juvia’s daughter concept art dropped annnd omg. The head cannons are just overflowing.
Tumblr media
Like honestly Gray and Juvia having more than one kid is very on brand for them. We’ve seen in cannon that Gray reeeeally wants to be a father (especially with Juvia’s children ) and Juvia herself would not oppose having another kid.
Gray being absolutely feral for fatherhood is my favorite head cannon/cannon. We saw him being protective with Edo Greige which wasn’t even his actual kid. Imagine how attached and protective Gray would be with a DAUGHTER. I wonder if he would name her after Ur 🤔.
Greige definitely would be a Mama’s Boy. And the Daughter would definitely be a Daddy’s Girl. Nobody can change my mind.
Gray would never let a guy near his daughter. He would definitely scare them off every chance he could get, but Juvia would definitely encourage any crush she might have. I can see Juvia definitely being an instigator in both her kids love life. Gray would of course not want Juvia getting in the middle of things; but he would get testy when Juvia would push Greige towards Nasha because of course. But he would get real heated when Juvia would encourage their daughter to pursue boys. Definitely doesn’t want to let go of his little girl no matter what age.
