To ensure we are all on the same channel, the tags we can use to distinguish this group's stuff are "youkai group" or "ykrp" so that we can see whenever someone posts a starter/ref/etc.

#that's also to make sure we don't clutter any other tags or viceversa

I forgot to mention this earlier but it'd be a great help to add a short ref of your OCs once you have settled down on your blog. It will make things easier for anyone who wants to rp with you!

I'm wondering if there's half youkais?? Is it rare to see half youkais in the community?

Thanks for reminding me!! Yes, there are half-youkais and in a way they aren't as rare nowadays. Mostly because there are mobs of youkais who have started living off the mundane world amidst humans.

#though i'd like to keep the number of half-youkais limited for now #we'll see in the future #rikko-chan

Ahhh, hello! I wanted to know if I could make a kitsune, since in the masterlist there's a (3) after kitsune? ;w;

Of course you can!! Oh the (3) just shows how many "slots" there are available (for now i'll just have three spaces open for kitsunes and so on), so for now they are empty!~ (this is just to make sure we don't have like 22464684975 tengus, 263758597808 kitsunes and one kappa) You just need to send me the basic info i specified on the post aaand i'll reserve that slot for you~

Yokais (as they are commonly known on the land of the rising sun), creatures that have roamed Earth for centuries, now have to adjust to the changes made around their environments. As the breach between humans and spirits weakens, two main sides are created. While one part of the spirit population has adapted to the mundane customs and thus live a human life; the other keeps terrorizing the human population in their attempt to bring things back to the previous order.

As the bridge between both worlds connect, even humans have begun to notice the yokai’s disguises. The sightings of “unknown creatures” have so far been considered nothing more than a rumor, but for how long?

Rules

You don’t have to be 100% active; this group was made for either active rpers or casual ones. The only thing that matters is that you all have fun with it.

No youkai is overly powerful. We don’t want an OP youkai with their goal set for world domination (and abilities that might make him able to do so).

Your characters might either be youkai or human.

Some type of youkais have a definite number of slots. (Only for those spirits who are rarer, or that have more demand)

Anyone can join as long as they send an ask with their OC’s name, an URL, and whether their OC is a youkai (specify type of youkai) or a human.

About

The setting is a futuristic Japan (some years after hours, a frame of about 20 years). With the development of new technologies and the need of the people to keep evolving, customs and traditions are slowly eroding away.

Yokais, creatures that have roamed Earth for centuries, now have to adjust to the changes made around their environments. As the breach between humans and spirits weakens, two main sides are created. While one part of the spirit population has adapted to the mundane customs and thus live a human life; the other keeps terrorizing the human population in their attempt to bring things back to the previous order.

Extra details:

Your OC is free to live wherever you seem fit. In the case of yokais transportation is not a problem as they can easily access the Underworld through which they can pretty much move from one place to another.
