Listen he's been playing the poor little helpless cripple since long before he became a Ghoul, let alone a Vampire, let alone a proper Sabbat member. In school, in elitist music programs, just like in the Sabbat, or in spy work, letting people pity him, scorn him, underestimate him, is a weapon - and he's a master at it.

He does it by remembering how humiliating it was to have to play that part in the first place, before he became something superior, something that can slice you to pieces and suck the pieces dry, and look better than you ever will doing it. Or how frustrating it is that even now, some people assume that he's useless just because he can't see.

…He may or may not beat / kill something to vent his anger whenever he's had to pull the waterworks.

I’ve wanted to draw some kind of fanart for Lore Olympus for a WHILE, because that webcomic is beautiful, adorable, all the feels, PERFECTION. (Trigger warning for some chapters tackling sexual assault)

I experimented with color pencils on colored paper (technically, colored carboard). I doesn’t look as nice as I expected. Guess I’ll try again with other characters at some point, and use more colors.

Finally I have something decent enough to post!! OTL

Coming up with my own color palettes is still a challenge, but I like the colors for this one. Another challenge was adding a background. This one is simple, but it took a stupid amount of time, lol (I think I’m still missing a step to get the result I really want, but backgrounds already take me out of my comfort zone, so I’ll figure that out later.)

Aaaand yes, when I don’t know what to draw, I still revert to random monsters or pokemon fanarts. Morty is my favorite champion, AND ghost is my fav type, and the grinning is fun to draw.

Another D&D character.

Aglaope, siren sorcerer, originally a pirate from the Magic the Gathering Ixalan blurb for D&D5. She’s here for fun and treasures, with a peculiar sense of what makes a good treasure.

Either way, I like the base lineart of this one. Also my brand of markers is starting to make refills, but they have very few colors. They have a series of grays, though, so I will do more grey-scale stuff in the future.

Another tabletop character of mine, from a game a friend wrote. It’s a Sci-fi game, “like a reverse, dark Star Treck universe”.

The character is Dr Nikolai Sergeievitch Novikov. He’s an earthling born in Vladivostok, to a family of servants. His parents’ master noticed his potential and had him sent to school; now at 32 he’s a brilliant geneticist who works at improving the human race to fit them all for space colonization. ...and the only civilian among the players’ characters, because the story takes place in a heavily militarized empire.

He’s also the closest thing we have to a good person on the team. After being promoted to the current Empress’ inner circle, he created a program to take children from the polluted no-man’s-lands of earth and implant them with network tech to bond them to mutated giant guard dogs, and train them as specialized workers for Terra-formation projects. The death rate is currently at 30%, and Dr Novikov’s main argument is that it’s an improvement from the 50% the kids would get if they were left where they were born. Also they go to school and have a future other than “pariah”.

A short comic-ish? I wanted something for a small format, so I didn’t bother with pannels. Or text. (Mute comics are interesting though, because I have to work harder on body language and expressions.)

I saw youtube videos about “zines” - very simple booklets made with just a sheet of paper and scissors and sometimes a bit of glue - and I wanted to try and make one. I spent my whole afternoon cursing at my printer, but now I have my little baby booklet \o/

Aaaand I'm already at the stage where all I can see is the flaws BUT I FINISHED IT SO IT COUNTS AS A WIN DAMNIT.

This one took me a week, on and off. It still has many of the flaws on poor Kavinsky, but I tried applying some advice from Laovan’s videos, and I feel like I learned a lot. Now I have to figure out how to avoid getting so much dirt in my paint.

Noiraud, my current D&D3.5 character. He’s a Tieflin Paladin, raised in one of Heroneus’ temples. The bruise-like marks are a part of his Tieflin heritage, don’t worry he’s unharmed. It doesn’t show very well on this picture, but his mouth is supposed to be too wide for a human, even with his lips closed.

The second pic is a process of sorts. Since I’m a maniac who scans every step, might as well do something with it. We’ll see in a few years if my process changes.
