I've been seeing some anons lately that have been rubbing me the wrong way (you know who you are...) so I just wanna say; please do not come into writer's asks demanding more fics. we are real people with real lives and can't be writing every second.
we already put SO MUCH pressure on ourselves to get stuff out, so getting an ask saying "not to be annoying but i need more" isn't motivating. It's the opposite. there's a way to say that nicely.
maybe say, "I love your work and can't wait for more!" or "looking forward to whenever you post your next fic" but demanding more stuff when they have JUST posted??? so un-motivating. even if they haven't just posted, that's not nice to hear. if you've read everything someone has written, re-read it!! and then spread your love for it!! that's 1000 times more motivating than begging for more fics.
it can make us feel like machines just pumping words out, and so many of us are violent people pleasers that we will just crumble and write at the cost of our mental health.
this isn't saying don't send asks, please do!! we LOVE them!! just make sure they're encouraging and not demanding more FREE writing.
