Sealed in the Stars
Tumblr media
A/N: Hi everyone! This story I wrote ages ago which I newly discovered! I am working on ‘The elf and the man’ but I give you this to read until I’m done! I hope you like it!
Word count: 1447
The moon stood high in the night sky above the Greenwood. The elven path was lightened with beautiful silver flowers that created a similar light as the stars above. You looked ahead and saw many elves by the main gate with lanterns in their hands. A smile appeared on your face, because this special night only appeared once a year. It was Mereth Nuin Giliath, the feast of starlight. Every year you, your siblings and your father Lord Elrond traveled to the woodland realm to celebrate this special occasion. You had always loved the woodlands, it was a beautiful realm with many impressions and people. But the thing you longed for the most was to see the prince. Legolas Greenleaf was your dearest friend, but due to the distance of your two realms, you rarely saw each other. But the truth was that you loved him, and not only as a friend. The slight thought of him made you walk a tad faster. You reached the gate and you were welcomed by members of the king’s counsel. The realm was decorated with the most beautiful white flowers, and everyone was dressed in shades of white, silver and blue.
Before you entered the ballroom, you removed your cloak to reveal your beautiful dress. It was made with a light blue material which flowed down your body. The dress was embroidered with elegant silver details and the front went down in a v neck. Your arms were bare, and a delicate lace strap held up your dress. You also wore a sparkling necklace that represented the northern star. Your sister had an identical one around her neck, the only difference being the evening star. Your (h/c) hair was in beautiful, long waves along with a braided silver crown. You bowed in gratitude to the servant that took care of your cloak. You looked over to your sister Arwen who smiled at you. Your brothers stepped forward to escort you inside. Elladan went to Arwen and Elrohir offered you his arm, which you gladly accepted.
“Are you alright y/n?” your brother asked. You smiled at him and answered. “I have never been better.” Then the doors to the ballroom opened and it was a massive crowd of people watching with anticipation at the Lord of Rivendell and his family. You took a deep breath and smiled at the large crowd of people. You and Arwen were the main guests due to the special powers that you both possessed. You had been gifted with the light of the stars, a light that could heal others.
Ada walked first and went towards King Thranduil. Lord Elrond bowed to the King and greeted him with a hand on his chest. Elrohir walked forward and presented you to the king. “King Thranduil, I am glad to see you again.” He smiled and embraced you in a hug. He had always seen you as the daughter he never had and had grown very fond of you.
“And I you Lirimaer (lovely one). Your beauty shines as bright as your star,” Thranduil said.
You smiled at him and thanked him. You looked around in disappointment when you did not see Legolas. Thranduil noticed this.
“He is in the gardens, he has talked about you for days, go now... he awaits you,” he said with a smile. You looked up at Thranduil and gave his hand an ensuring squeeze.
“Thank you mellon”.
You reached the gardens and looked around for your friend, when suddenly you heard someone draw their sword. You looked over your shoulder and saw a tall pale orc with a devious face. This creature had the look of death in his eyes, which made you fear for your own life. Then you let out a pained scream when another orc pushed you to the ground from behind. “You’re alone she elf and you will die alone!” one of them said.
“Not if I kill you first,” you said fiercely. He grunted at that and before he could hit you again you stood up swiftly and took out your dagger. Suddenly you were surrounded by an orc pack. You hated to be a ‘maiden in distress’ but you knew that this was a fight you could not win alone.
“Adar, Elrohir, Elladan!” you yelled. The orc filth came closer and the first one that charged against you died within seconds by an arrow. You gazed to the direction of the arrow and saw Legolas stand there. “Legolas,” you whispered. Your family arrived and drew their own weapons. Then a small battle erupted, and you were in the middle of it. You killed orc after orc, until you stood in front of a larger orc that spoke black speech to you. “You are a fool she elf and you will lose,” it said. You moved swiftly and swung your dagger across his stomach which made him fall to his knees.
“Think again filth,” you said with a smirk. He furrowed his brows when you took a step back. Then Elladan came and chopped his head off. You sighted when all of a sudden you felt a terrible pain in your stomach. Once again you heard black speech.
“You will lose, your light will vanish little Star, and when it does, we will take these lands!” Behind you stood the orc that punched you earlier with his sword straight through your stomach. You gasped for air and you heard several voices screaming your name. Everything went blurry and you felt how the orc dragged the sword out with a quick motion. You fell to the ground and you could see how arrows were being shot. A blurred blond form ran towards you but before they reached you everything went black.
---
You woke up by a voice speaking with a calm, stern tone. The situation was bleary, but you could see your father standing beside you and speaking an elvish healing spell. “Tanka tel' taurnin, poika tuulo' 'kshapsae, tanka harwar”. “Ada” was the only word you were able to say. He stopped immediately with his spell and focused on your eyes.
“My child! Bless the Valar! I thought we were going to lose you, it was so much blood and such a serious wound,” he said with concern. You gazed at the bandaged area around your stomach, you could feel the sting from the wound when you moved. You were still a bit hazed and instead of answering his worries you said something else. “They ruined my dress,” you said and chuckled in pain. Your father smiled down at you, here you were with a hole in your stomach, and you worried about your dress. Elladan stepped forward and gave your hand a squeeze.
“If you promise to never get hurt like this again I’ll buy you every dress in middle earth!” he said and you both laughed at his statement. Elrohir stepped forward as well, answering his brother. “You know well enough that nothing could make her promise such a thing. This star is fierce...and stubborn,” he said with a proud smile.
“Where is she, is she awake Elrond? Elladan told m-”. Legolas had rushed into the healing room but stopped mid-sentence when he saw you sitting up.
“Legolas, you’re here,” you said with a smile. He walked towards your bed and sat down. “We will give you two some privacy,” your father said. You only nodded to your father who pushed your siblings out of the room and closed the door. He took your hands in his and kissed them.
“Never scare me like that ever again meleth,” he said. You were shocked by his words and he had called you meleth (love), did he mean it?
“Me-meleth? Why now?” you asked. He chuckled, then looked you straight in the eyes. “Because when I saw you being stabbed by that orc, I saw how cold and lonely a life without you would be, and I promised myself, if you would survive, I would never leave your side,” he answered. You were completely stunned, everything you wanted was coming true. In that moment you only wanted to tell him one thing.
“Legolas, gi melin (i love you),” you said boldly. Now it was his turn to be stunned. He had only dreamed of hearing those words from you and here they were.
“Gi melin my star,” he answered. You smiled at him with tears in your eyes. He leaned in and after centuries of longing, the two of you kissed. It was filled with love and happiness. From that day forward, Legolas remained by your side. A promise that was sealed in the stars.

The Elf and the Man - Part 5
Tumblr media
Far too long have you remained in the shadows, waiting to return to what you love. You have a quest at hand, but what comes after? Will your life be as before or will you choose another path?
A/N: Hi everyone! I am so sorry for the delay of this chapter, I have enjoyed summer as much as possible in these strange times. So finally I finished the fifth chapter. Hope you like it!
Word count: 1915
Bard was waiting for you to explain how you could be the elven Queen. But no words came out. You tried to form a sentence, but your mouth ran dry. He turned away from you and headed for the door, disappointed in your silence. You walked up to him and grabbed his hand before he could walk away. You reached for the book in his hand and said; “This book tells you all you need to know about me”. He shook his head and turned to the page that described your death. He pointed at the words and begged you for an explanation.
“How I’m still alive? Well it’s something I ask myself every day, call it faith or magic but here I am,” you answered and looked down at the floor. He sighed and put his fingers under your chin. He held a sorrowful expression.
“I’m sorry Y/N,” he simply responded. Suddenly you could hear the bells ring and shouting coming from outside. You both shared a look and knew what it was about. Of course, the company had to be discovered. The words discreet was never in their vocabulary. You and Bard ran to the town square to see the townsfolk surrounding the dwarves. But they were not hostile against them, they were cheering. Bard left your side and stepped through the crowd to walk up to Thorin.
“Death, that is what you will bring upon us!” he started. “Dragon fire and ruin, if you awaken that beast it will destroy us all,” he said with a serious tone. The commotion continued. Thorin promised wealth and prosperity and Bard tried to warn them of the dangers within the mountain. Suddenly the towns master said something interesting. Something you didn’t expect.
“Now. Now. We must not, any of us, be too quick to lay blame. Let us not forget, that it was Girion, Lord of Dale, your ancestor, who failed to kill the beast. Hm!” he said to Bard. You stepped forward and stood behind him in support. You had read about the day the dragon came. Lord Girion had hit the dragon, one more shoot and it would be dead. Much had been different if he had succeeded.
“It’s true, Sire. We all know the story. Arrow after arrow, he shot. Each one missing its mark,” Alfrid said. You put a hand on Bard’s shoulder for comfort, that is when Thorin acknowledge your presence, so did the town master.
“Ah a fair lady stands by your side, a play toy you picked up on the way eh Bard?” he said and smirked. You gave him a look while the dwarves and Bard stepped forward in your defense. Alfrid was terrified of what the master had called you, he who had been in your presence before.
“Sire, this maiden is not a simple-“Alfrid started but was cut off by the master. “She’s not what Alfrid, I believe her to be a whore, no one is that beautiful!” he answered. Thorin stepped forward and pointed at the master.
“Watch your tongue, this maiden deserves more respect than any of us. This is in fact Queen Y/N of the Woodland Realm…” he said and turned to you and stepped down of one knee. “…the Queen of stars,” he finished and bowed. The moons light emerged behind the clouds and with it you shone bright. You watched as everyone believed Thorin’s words and bowed as well. You shook your head, you didn’t want this attention. Everyone bowed even Bard, but he saw the fear in your eyes. When they all stood again, Thorin took your hands and smiled at you which you responded with a simple thank you for what he did. To greedy the town master stepped forward, not giving an apology for his insults against you but seeking something for his own gain.
“If she is in fact the Queen, couldn’t she provide us with an army, supplies and gold in time of need eh?” the master asked Thorin. Thorin hesitated, he glanced back at you and saw the same that Bard had seen. Fear, fear that your husband wouldn’t come to protect you or anyone else for that matter. He looked back at the towns master.
“Indeed,” Thorin simply stated.
“Then it’s settled, you go on to the mountain with our blessing and we get the protection from the Queen, yes?” he said. Thorin knew that is was wrong to leave you behind but this was necessary, you could handle it. Before he answered you took his hand.
“You know it’s not that simple Thorin,” you whispered. You were visibly hurt but at the same time you knew he had to agree.
“Forgive me Y/N,” he whispered to you before answering aloud. “Yes, we agree!”. The towns master held out his arms and cheered.
“Welcome, welcome!”. The crowd cheered in delight, all their misfortune would take a turn, or so they thought.
Balin walked up to you and took your hands. “I’m sorry lass, Thorin would never want to leave you behind,” he said apological. You sighed and looked at Thorin who was flooded with praise from the people. “And still he did.”
Everyone went back to their houses after deciding to help the dwarves. The company stayed in the master’s house, but you returned with Bard. You twisted and turned in your bed, feeling cold and alone. Then out of nowhere you felt at ease, as if someone was lulling you to sleep. You opened your eyes and suddenly you were back in the Woodland realm. You were back in your old bed, you looked to the side and saw bright blue eyes staring back at you. You smiled and touched his cheek.
“This is a dream,” you stated. He took your hand and kissed it gently. Thranduil had always made your heart swoon, even in dreams. The butterflies you felt the first time you met was still there. As they would always be.
“Then it is a good one,” he said and kissed you. You parted from him when you reminded yourself that this was not real, you would wake up without him. You sat up from the bed and walked out to the balcony. Thranduil followed you swiftly, snaking his arms around your waist, holding you tight.
“I feel alone Thranduil, many do count on me, but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it on my own,” you said and felt a tear escape your eye. He turned you around to face him and he watched you with sad eyes.
“Meleth I will always come for you, you know this, you are never alone,” he said and dried your tears. A sad smile took over your features.
“That is what I want you to say,” you said and brushed your fingers through his silky hair. You placed your hands on either side of his face. He was truly glorious, you missed him terribly. You sighed and continued. “But it’s only a dream”. You stepped away from Thranduil and closed your eyes. When you opened them again you were back in Lake Town, far away from your King.
“And I am still alone,” you whispered to yourself.
Later that morning the company traveled to the mountain, you didn’t say your goodbyes, you were to upset. You, Bard and the children were all in the house when a frantic knock came from the door. It was four of the dwarves. Bard dismissed them, but they stopped him from closing the door.
“Please Kili is sick, very sick!” you walked up to the door and the dwarves sighed in relief when they saw you.
“Thank the valar, Y/N please we need your expertise in healing,” Oin pleaded. You nodded, and Bard let the dwarves inside. They laid Kili on the bed, he was pail and in pain. You examined his wound.
“A morgul arrow,” you stated. The dwarves looked terrified, morgul poison could kill the strongest man. Hopelessness started to form in their eyes. You looked back at Kili and continued. “I can save him, but I need to get the herbs for it. Watch him closely until I get back and give him something for the pain!” you said and hurriedly went out for the healing plants. When you stepped out of the house you felt a vibration, almost like an earth quake. You looked up at the mountain in horror. Had they awoken the beast? Your thoughts were interrupted by Bard who ran out of the house with Bain close behind. He was holding a black arrow. He gave you an apologetic look and ran past you. You ran after him and reached for his hand.
“Bard, you cannot face that beast!” you said.
“I have too, it’s in my blood,” he answered. You shook your head and answered.
“What of your children, please don’t throw away your life like this!” you pleaded and looked at Bain. Bard looked at you with sad eyes and turned to Bain. He gave the arrow to him and told him to run ahead. When he was out of sight he stepped forward and placed his hands on your cheeks. As you had done with Thranduil in your dream.
“I need to do this, I need to save them and YOU from this inferno, you have to let me do this Y/N!” he said and kissed your forehead. You felt a tear fall but you nodded slightly and wiped it away.
“Will you do something for me?” he asked.
“Anything,” you answered.
“Can you please help them to safety, and if something would happen to me would you- could you…” trailed of but you knew what he wanted to ask. You nodded and simply answered “You have my word!”
He kissed your hand and the started to walk away. You watched as your hands parted and you felt empty without his touch. It hurt to see him go, all the odds were against him, you prayed in your heart for his safe return.
Suddenly you heard a scream from the house and was about to run back when someone grabbed you from behind and knocked you to the ground. You let out a pained noise and looked up at whatever had hit you. It was a large orc, you had never seen the like. It was three times bigger than an ordinary orc, it had a grimace that only meant one thing, the amusement to kill. You kicked its feet to make it unbalanced. All your weapons were in the house except for two small knifes, the same that Legolas had. You tried to fight it, but it was too strong. You had sliced the orc twice in the chest, but nothing effected it. It took a hold of your arm and threw you into the nearest wall. You were out of breath and couldn’t see clear. The orc walked up to you and grabbed its weapon. It said foul things in the orc language which you responded with “gurth an glamhoth (death to the din heard)” in Sindarin. It understood your threat and became angry. You thought your fate was sealed when an arrow was fired in its shoulder. The orc screamed in pain and fled. You turned your gaze in the direction of the arrow. You could hear light footsteps coming closer and when your rescuer stepped out of the shadows, tears of joy started to fall.
“Legolas,” you sobbed.
An elven King may or may not enter in the next chapter;)

The Elf and the Man - Part 4
Tumblr media
Far too long have you remained in the shadows, waiting to return to what you love. You have a quest at hand, but what comes after? Will your life be as before or will you choose another path?
A/N: Hi everyone, sorry for the wait but here is a long chapter. It will explain a lot about what happened to our Queen in the past. I guess this chapter is kind of sad haha, sorry. Now enjoy!
Word count: 2032
When Bard returned, he had many questions. Firstly, Thorin son of Thrain was living under his roof. He knew how his ancestors had fought and lost against the fire breathing monster. He couldn’t let history repeat itself. When he entered, he saw no dwarves, which alarmed him. He felt the urge to go and look for them in town, but then he saw you and Tilda sitting by the fire. He thought of what he heard before about you. Who were you really? He stood by the door and listened.
“What are you reading Tilda?” She smiled and showed you the book.
“It’s a tale of the Elven Queen. She was called the Queen of stars and was married to King Thranduil.” You swallowed hard at her words and forced a smile. This was a story about you.
“Oh yes the Queen.” She smiled and continued on.
“She was the most beautiful and kind elf that ever existed, and she had long (H/C) hair, just like you. Here is a picture of her.” She pointed at a portrait of you, Thranduil and Legolas when he was only a child. You smiled and let her continue. “That is the King and the prince, I dream of meeting them one day. But most of all, I dream of meeting her, but that is impossible,” she said. You knew how the story ended, it was yours after all.
“She fought bravely in a great battle, a very long time ago. She died there, she died saving the King,” she paused and sighed. “Some people say that the King lost his voice that day because he screamed to the Valar to save her. Is that true?” she asked. You laughed at her words. Bard was beginning to understand were this was going.
“The King still has his voice,” you reassured her. She nodded and waited a while before speaking again.
“I sometimes imagine that it was mothers’ story, because she was as beautiful, kind and brave as the elven Queen was. And in the end, she died.” Your heart ached at her words. Bard was still watching the two of you with sad eyes.
“But she will always be in here Tilda.” You pointed at her heart. She smiled at you and hugged you.
“Thank you, Y/N!” she whispered. You smiled and hugged her back.
“Y/N why haven’t the King chosen a new Queen?” she asked you. You sighed and pointed at the picture.
“When you find your one, you are theirs forever. Not even death can separate them,” you answered.
“Like da and ma?” she asked excitedly. You smiled sadly, thinking of what you and Bard did earlier.
“Yes, just like that,” you answered and tried to suppress your true feelings. Bard saw it though, it was regret.
“Were you there, on the day the Queen died?” she asked. You froze and thought back to that day.
The battle was almost won. The orcs had decreased in numbers and many started to flee. However, Thranduil was struggling with the leading orc. You ran up on the mountain and tried to reach him, but five large orcs stopped you. They surrounded you and were about to strike from every direction. But before they could, you made a turn and slices their legs, so they all fell to their knees. They spat hideous words your way and with one swift move you cut their throats. The all fell dead on the mountain side. You looked up at the plateau were Thranduil was fighting. He was hurt and on the ground. You hurried and just when the orc was going to end him you stopped the orc with your sword. This orc was strong, and you knew you could never bring it down by yourself. The orc grabbed you and threw you away. The orc was once again nearing Thranduil, ready to kill him. So, you made a decision. You looked at Thranduil who was already looking at you. He knew what you were about to do, and he frantically told you not to. But you had to, so you gathered all your strength and ran towards the orc. You pushed him over the mountain side, but as you did so, he grabbed you with him. You landed further down on the mountain side and your body screamed in agony. Further down a cliff was nearing, and the steep fall with it, so you pushed away your pain. As you were rolling down the mountain side you plunged your knife through the orc’s heart. Blood was draining your clothes and as you reached the cliff you removed the knife from the orc and used it to stop yourself from falling. You watched as the orc fell down into the abyss. And by the time the orc hit the ground, it was already dead. You rolled on your back and felt your body failing you, death was inevitable. You had fallen down a mountain after all. As you were giving up hope someone ran down to you. It was your father, Lord Elrond.
“Adar?” you whispered. He kneeled to pick you up and place you on a safer spot on the mountain.
“Y/N stay awake!” he encouraged you. He examined your body and looked at you in horror. He took your wrist in his hand to feel your pulse, it was faint. He had tears in his eyes, but he forced a smile to stay strong for you. You smiled at him and answered.
“Adar, we both know this is the end for me.” He shook his head and held you tight.
“Is Thranduil alright?” you asked. Your father didn’t need to reply because Thranduil was helped to you by your brothers. You smiled at him and you felt your tears fall. Elrond let Thranduil take his place and he cradled you head.
“Y/N, why did you do that, you should have let me die!” he said with tears. You shook your head no.
“You are irreplaceable Thranduil, you are the King, and I did my duty and saved not only the King, but my husband,” you answered. Your words started to slur. “There is…no greater honor than that my King,” you said. Thranduil cried into your hair, he couldn’t believe it.
“No, you cannot leave me meleth nin!” he sobbed. You looked at him lovingly.
“I will always be here,” you whispered and pointed at his heart. You closed your eyes and gathered your strength to say one last thing.
“And I will always love you.” With those words you took one last breath before succumbing to the darkness.
“NO!” Thranduil screamed. He begged for you to wake up, but you didn’t. His screams echoed through the mountain and he held you close. Suddenly your body started to fade, Thranduil felt as his grip around you loosened. He watched in agony as your body reduced to dust, and with the cold breeze you disappeared. Thranduil clutched his chest, he had never felt such pain. Your loved ones watched as you disappeared with the wind and in that moment Thranduil could only utter one word as he felt his heart break.
“Always”
Suddenly you opened your eyes again. Only you were not on the battle field, you felt no pain. You were alright. You sat up and saw that you laid on a meadow, surrounded by white flowers. Thranduil was nowhere to be seen. You thought you were in the next life, far away from everyone you loved. In the distance you heard someone humming. You heard the sound of hooves and wheels. The man on the carriage noticed you and looked confused.
“My lady are you alright?” the stranger asked. You turned to him and he looked as if he had seen a ghost.
“It cannot be!” he jumped down from his carriage and helped you stand.
“Y/N, is that you?” You looked upon the man, he had a beard, grey clothes and a pointy hat. You smiled when you realized who it was.
“Gandalf?” you smiled. He laughed and embraced you. “How am I not dead mellon?” you asked him. He looked at you with sad eyes.
“Well you have been dead for five hundred years, we all thought you were gone,” he answered. You were shocked by his words. Five hundred years is not a long time for an elf, but it is a long time to be dead.  “But come, I will take you to your father, he will know why this happened,” he said. You brushed of your white dress and walked with Gandalf.
A few days later…
“Imladris (Rivendell),” you simply stated. No matter how many times you had seen it, you truly adored your childhood home. Lord Elrond stood ready by gates to welcome Gandalf, only he did not know that you had returned. You stepped down from his carriage and looked at your father.
“Adar,” you said. Elrond couldn’t believe his eyes. There you were, well and alive. He had foreseen your return, but never fully dared to believe it. You ran into his arms and he embraced you with all his love. As you parted, he looked at you with joy.
“My child, I have waited so long,” he said with tears of joy. You whipped them away gently.
“Why have I returned adar?” you asked. He sighed and walked you to a bench and sat you down.
“You were not destined to die that day, you have a quest at hand, a purpose that must be for filled,” he said sadly. You were shocked by his statement.
“When do I leave?” you asked confused.
“It will take place in five hundred years,” he answered with a compassionate gaze. You were relieved that you didn’t have to leave for the quest right away.
“Then we must call for Thranduil and Legolas, they have to know I’m alright!” you said frantically. You father took your hands in his and shook his head no. Every bit of relief quickly washing away.
“Ni merite tule!” (I wish him to come), you pleaded in your mother tongue. Your father whipped away your tears and gave you a gentle look.
“They cannot know your back. Thranduil have endured an immense loss and if you return, he will never let you go. This must remain a secret!” he said with a serious tone.
“Adar, you cannot ask me to stay away from my one, from my husband and child!” you said with teary eyes. He put his palm against your cheek and gave you a sympathetic look. He didn’t need to answer, you knew that this had to be done. So, you waited, five hundred years. It went slow, because every day you longed to be with Thranduil again. Knowing he mourned you made it even worse.
“Don’t forget me my love,” you whispered into the starry night. What you didn’t know was that in the earliest hours of the morning, Thranduil stood and watched the morning star shine bright in the sky. Always thinking of his Elentari.
“Y/N? Were you there?” Tilda asked again. You sighed from the memories and answered truthfully.
“I was,” you said sadly, a tear spilling from your eye. You looked at Tilda who understood that it pained you to think of it. You quickly dried your tears and smiled at her.
“Now you must go to sleep little dove,” you said and walked her to her room. While you did that, Bard walked to the fireplace and picked up the book. When he saw the royal family portrait he knew, everything clicked. You were THE Queen. He had never been so shocked in his life. Your husband was King Thranduil, and your son the Prince. The Queen of the Woodland Realm was living in his house. His expression was priceless, to have Thorin son of Thrain under his roof was already an honor. But to have the Queen of all Queens was beyond wording. When you walked out again from Tilda’s room he was still starring at the picture. He slowly turned to you and pointed at the picture, but no words came out.
“I can explain!” you said worriedly.
And there you have it!

The Elf and the Man - Part 3
Tumblr media
Far too long have you remained in the shadows, waiting to return to what you love. You have a quest at hand, but what comes after? Will your life be as before or will you choose another path?
A/N: Hi everyone! Thank you again for all the support!! Here is the third part and things are starting to clear up in Bards mind. Not long until he realize who she is. Just wait until Thranduil appears! Enjoy!!
Word count: 1685
All the dwarves were helped out of the barrels and were told how to get into the house. They had to take a less glamorous way than yourself. Something you found to be quite amusing. While the dwarves went into the water, you and Bard went through town. People were staring at you. But to be fair, you did stick out in the crowd. You saw the pigs chewing on a healing plant which you found odd.
“Bard, why are you feeding Athelas to the pigs? It should be used for the sick and wounded,” you said quietly.
“That, really? Here it’s considered a weed,” he simply answered.
You shrugged it off, the humans always seemed to surprise you. Suddenly someone ran into you with a thud and fell on the ground. You looked down and saw a small boy with tears in his eyes.
“Watch were you’re going boy!” Bard yelled. You gave Bard a look and then smiled at the boy. You crouched down to see if he was hurt.
“It’s alright, let me see your hands?” you asked kindly. He showed his palms which was all scuffed up and bloody from the fall. You felt oblige to help him.
“Bard could you give me some of the Athelas, the plant we talked about?” you asked.
“Of course!” he said and handed it to you. You put it against his palms and then looked into his eyes to distract him.
“What’s your name?” you asked gently.
“Tor my lady,” he answered with teary eyes.
“That’s a beautiful name, I’m Y/N!” you said. He smiled at you and then saw your bow on your back.
“Are you an archer?” he asked.
“Yes, I am, are you?” you asked. He beamed at you and nodded frantically.
“I love to shoot arrows at targets, although I’m not very good at it!” he answered. You smiled at him. This boy was not very different from when Legolas was a child.
“I bet Bard could help you practice, he’s not that bad,” you said with a wink. The boy had forgotten about the pain and smiled. You removed the Athelas and kissed his palms.
“There, all better,” you said sweetly. The boy looked down at his hands. All the blood and scuffed up flesh was gone. It looked like nothing had happened. He looked at his hands in utter amazement.
“Thank you, my lady,” he said and hugged you. You smiled and waved as he ran off. Bard smiled down at you but was also amazed at your skills in healing.
“So, all they say about elvish healing is true?” he said with a smile.
“Most of it, so keep that plant for yourself and not to the pigs,” you answered.
Then you continued on to his house. You hadn’t noticed the crowd that formed around you, in awe of your kindness and healing powers.
…
You entered the house were some of the dwarves had entered through the toilet. They were looking around in disappointment and mumbled to themselves, although you heard it all.
“If it wasn’t for Y/N, we wouldn’t be in this town at all, so why are we even paying him?” Fili said.
“I say we take what we need and leave!” Dwalin answered. You turned to him.
“I could never have gotten all of you over that lake in time. Nonetheless, give you shelter. He did save you all, I only helped with the last part,” you whispered. Fili and Dwalin looked ashamed and bowed their heads in an apology.
“Da, why is there dwarves coming out of our toilet?” you heard a girl ask. Suddenly the girl entered the room, she spotted you and was in awe. A smaller girl stood beside her with a big smile on her face.
“Da, she is an elf, she’s so beautiful,” the small girl said. You smiled at them and wondered where their mother was. Bard walked over to his daughters and looked back at you with a smile.
“Ay, she is,” he said and held the girl’s hands.
“Why don’t you two keep her company so me and Bane can take care of the dwarves?” he asked the girls. They both smiled in excitement and ran over to you.
“I am Tilda, and this is Sigrid. It’s a pleasure to meet you lady...?”
“Y/N, and It’s very nice to meet you too,” you answered.
A few hours later, after Bard had provided food and weapons for you and the company, you walked outside. Your mind too heavy with the thought of Thranduil, the company, and Bard. The sun was about to set. The water reflected the intense colors of the sun and it almost looked like it was burning. You leaned on the railing and admired the sun. The door opened again and out stepped Bard. He saw you and stood beside you.
“Hey, there you are, I think I will go mad if I stay around those dwarves another moment longer,” he said. You laughed at his statement.
“Well yes dwarves tend to be quite intense, but such good company is hard to find,” you responded.
“The children agree with you, they love them already,” he chuckled. You smiled and let out a laugh.
“I expect your wife doesn’t agree, they must make a mess in there,” you lightly chuckled. You turned to him when you didn’t get an answer. He took a deep breath and looked at you with sad eyes.
“My wife past away a few years ago, I am the only one they got,” he whispered. You put your hand over his and held a sad smile on your face.
“I am so sorry Bard, I didn’t know. That must have been very hard,” you said. He nodded in response.
“Yes indeed. But most of all for the children. My smallest one often asks about her, and I never know what to answer. Because it hurts to much even thinking of her,” he said with a sad voice. You made small circles on his hand to try and comfort him. You could see the tears in his eyes, and you could feel your own starting to form. With a long breath you finally spoke.
“Tell them that she loved them, beyond measure, that she is looking down on them and protecting them always. That is all they need to hear. To know that they are so very loved and that their mother is close at heart,” you said warmly.Tears fell from Bards eyes and you whipped one away before it could fall.
“Do you have children of your own?” he asked. You smiled of the thought of Legolas.
“Yes, I have a son, he’s courageous and so very good hearted,” you answered. When you thought of the past you felt guilt.
“And I left him once. Every part of me feared that I would never look upon his face again. Every parent wishes to live a long life and see their children grow and thrive,” you paused. “But I wasn’t destined to do so. However, I did see him again, and for the first time in centuries, I felt joy,” you said with tearful eyes.
“That gladdens med Y/N, I haven’t felt that feeling since she passed, I don’t know if I ever will,” he said and looked down. You placed two fingers under his chin and lifted his head.
“Everyone deserves joy in their life Bard, especially you,” you said.
You hadn’t noticed that you were very close to Bards face. He looked at your lips and, in that moment, you knew that everything that was going to happen was wrong. But at the same time, Bard needed this, you needed this. So, he leaned in and kissed you, you let him feel love and care for the first time in a long time. He embraced you and held you a little longer. When he pulled away from you, you could see that sparkle of joy and love that you had seen in Thranduil. That made you sad, your husband that you loved so very much was far away. And here you were with a man you’ve just met, sharing each other’s deepest feelings.
“I am sorry,” you said. You realized your mistake and walked into the house again. Bard leaned over the railing and cursed himself for doing that. In his mind he could never be with one so beautiful as you. He took a walk through the town to clear his mind. While he walked, he heard the villagers talk.
“They were dwarves I tell you. Appeared out of nowhere. Full beards, fierce eyes. I’ve never seen the like,” a woman uttered.
“It’s the prophecy. The prophecy of Durin’s folk,” an old man confirmed.
“Prophecy?” Bard wondered. Bard started to look at old scrolls and found one with Durin’s folk. He didn't lose focus of the scroll until he heard the villagers talk about you.
“And did you not see the fair maiden, she was radiant, never seen a beauty like that before!” a man said.
“Well that’s because she’s an elf, how could you miss her ears?” a woman said.
“Did you not notice her clothes, I would say she’s royal!” another said.
“Royal?” Bard whispered, questioningly.
“Royal eh? Then she would be the Queen of stars, and that is impossible!” the woman answered.
“But what she did to that boy, extraordinary! Never seen the like!” the man said.
“What about you boy? You met her after all!” the woman asked.
“No one has ever been so kind to me. She was magical,” he answered with a smile.
Bard thought long and hard at their words. You were indeed so very beautiful and kind. He had not seen or met other elves, but he could tell you were special. However, he had never thought of you being royal, it was impossible, the Queen died. Although, you did say you had a son, and that you were acquainted with the King. Also, you said you left your son once. What if the Queen of Stars never died?
He’s on to something!

The Elf and the Man - Part 2
Tumblr media
Far too long have you remained in the shadows, waiting to return to what you love. You have a quest at hand, but what comes after? Will your life be as before or will you choose another path?
A/N: Hi everyone! Thank you for the love on the last part! I am so glad that you like it! Here is the second part! Slightly longer and finally the reader meets Bard!!!!
Word Count: 1735
You ran as fast as your feet could carry you. The company was close, but so were the orcs, you were fighting time. Every step took you closer to the company, but further away from Thranduil…again. But you couldn’t think of him now, he had betrayed the dwarves, the hobbit and especially you. Finally, you entered a clearing where you saw the company sitting on the rocks by the river. You ran to them and in the right moment, a man was aiming their arrow at them. Kili was trying to attack the man with a stone, but the man shot it out of his hand. The man was now pointing the arrow at them. With one quick move you split the man’s arrow with your own. Everyone turned their attention to you. The company cheered your name and you turned to the man and pointed an arrow at him.
“Who are you, and why are you trying to hurt this company?” you asked the man.
“I am a bargeman and these men were occupying the barrels that I came to collect. Now may I ask why a lady is protecting them?” he responded. You didn’t have a chance to answer before Thorin walked up to the man and pointed a finger at him.
“Listen here, we don’t have time to discuss our own matters with you, so please leave us b-,” Thorin said fiercely, but he was cut off.
“Eh, slow down Thorin, what our leader here was going to say is if that barge over there is for hire by any chance?” Balin asked nicely. He was always the most sensible in the group and you smiled at his clever mind.
“I don’t know what business you had with the elves, but I don’t think it ended well. No one enters Lake-town but by lead of the master. All his wealth comes from trade with the Woodland Realm. He would see you in irons before risking the wrath of king Thranduil,” the man warned.
“Let us worry about King Thranduil. As of right now, we need your help!” you said and removed your hood. He was baffled by you, never had he seen someone so beautiful and fears. He couldn’t take his eyes of you even if he wanted to. He now saw that you were an elf.
“Aye. But for that you would need a smuggler,” he said.
“For which we would pay double,” Balin reassured.
The bargeman agreed to let the company on and as you were passing him you ask.
“Do you have a name? Or should we just call you bargeman?” you asked with an amused tone.
“Bard, my name is Bard,” he responded.
“And if I may ask, what is yours my lady?” You smiled and handed him one of your arrows.
“Y/N, and here, I did destroy your arrow after all”. Bard looked at the finely crafted arrow and seemed confused?
“Lady Y/N, my bow is not worthy of such fine craftmanship. I cannot accept your arrow,” he said gently.
“See it as payment for your kindness,” you said and smiled. Before you stepped on the barge you looked back at him.
“I saw your skills with the bow, best I’ve seen from a man, and even better than most elves,” you said. He smiled at your words. Bard was flattered that you though so highly of his skills. It made him wonder what you have seen and most of all, who you were
.…
As the dwarves were forced to hide in the barrels of fish, you had a chance to speak to Bard again.
“How far is it to Lake Town?” you asked. He turned to you and pointed.
“It’s over there, so not far at all my lady,” he answered kindly.
“Y/N is fine, no need for formalities,” you said. You hadn’t told Bard about who you actually were, but he was smart enough to understand that you were important in the elven realm. He saw it on your clothes, it was fabric of the finest quality, any elf would know that it was royal. Luckily Bard was no elf, you didn’t want him to know who you were, not yet anyway.
“I never got an answer before by the riverbank. Why are you protecting these dwarves?” he asked.
You let out a sight and answered, “Let’s just say that I’m helping them find their way home,” He knew that it wasn’t the whole story, so he pushed you a bit further.
“Someone is hunting them, the barrels were all scuffed and beaten,” he said.
You sighted, Bard had to know a little to be able to trust you.
“Yes, an orc pack is hunting us and not any at that. Azog the defiler is after us. I don’t know why, but I know that he’s dangerous,” you answered seriously. Bard looked at you and now understood why you desperately needed his assistants.
“And what of the elven King?” he asked. You couldn’t tell him how important you were to Thranduil. So, you lied.
“The elven King imprisoned the company when we entered the Greenwood, they escaped through the cellar in these barrels. I lived in those halls once, a long time ago. I guess I am a deserter,” you answered.
“Used to live there?” he pointed at your green and silver attire.
“That seems rather new and not what a deserter would wear,” he said. He was clever.
“I was not treated as a prisoner, but as a guest. I am acquainted with the King,” you answered.
“Then he must be quite upset now that you released his prisoners,” he chuckled.
You laughed with him and then answered more seriously, “The dwarves were capable of freeing themselves, I think he is more upset of my departure.”
And indeed, he was.
Legolas stood before his father, he was not happy. They had just interrogated the orc and Legolas felt desperate to follow you. He hadn’t known Azog was after you until now.
“How could they escape, and why would you tell her about it?” Thranduil said angrily.
“I did what was right father!” Legolas answered. Thranduil pointed at him.
“You have betrayed me son!” he yelled. Legolas stood with pride and stared at his father.
“The dwarves were never supposed to be our prisoners. You are the one that betrayed her!” Legolas yelled.
“She should never have brought them here,” Thranduil answered coldly. Legolas was tired of his father. He couldn’t see what was right or wrong.
“I know how much this means to her, so I let her go. Something you couldn’t,” he answered fiercely.
“Enough, you should go,” Thranduil said annoyed. Legolas turned around to leave but stopped to say one last thing.
“I lost her to you know, I want nothing more than to see her in these halls once again. But mother will fight for what she believes in,” Legolas said sadly. Thranduil didn’t know what to answer so Legolas continued.
“If I can help her, I will! And so should you father,” he said before following Tauriel and finding you.
Thranduil wanted nothing more than to be by your side. But how could he help you when you helped the enemy. All he ever wanted was for you to return for centuries. He still blames himself for your death, because you sacrificed yourself for him. But this time he knew he couldn’t sit around and hope that you would return. This time he needed to be by your side, he needed to fight for you.
“Guards, prepare for battle, we are marching to the mountain and for war.”
You reached the town gate after a time on the lake. Bard turned to you and pulled up your hood.
“Let me do the talking, do not reveal who you are,” he commanded. You nodded, you already trusted Bard. He handed a piece of paper to the guard at the gate. The guard was friendly and wanted to let Bard through.
“There all in order!” the guard said.
“Not so fast,” a dark-haired man said from the shadows. He took the piece of paper that Bard had given the guard. He looked smug.
“Consignment of empty barrels from the Woodland realm,” he read and pointed at the barrels. “Only they’re not empty. Are they Bard? If I recall correctly, you’re licensed as a bargeman. Not a fisherman,” he said.
“That’s none of your business!” Bard warned.
“Wrong! It’s the master’s business, which makes it my business,” the man sneered.
“Oh come on Alfrid. Have a hea-,” Bard was cut off by your hand on his shoulder.
Alfrid looked at you with suspicious eyes and said, “And who do we have here, feeling lonely at night ey Bard?” Alfrid said with a dirty look.
Once again you removed your hood. Your long hair was glistening in the daylight, cascading in beautiful waves and braided to reveal your elven ears. The man in front of you was gasping at your appearance. Much less discrete then what Bard had done before. Although, he too was once again taken by your beauty.
“My Lord, I am Y/N of the Woodland Realm and I have come to gift you these supplies from King Thranduil himself,” you lied. Bard were watching your every move, he couldn’t interfere.
“M-my Lady, pleasure to have you ere with us. I will personally escort you to the master’s keep, we are so grateful for your gift,” Alfrid said nervously. You smiled and shook your head.
“That won’t be necessary my lord. This kind man has offered me shelter, that is all I need,” you answered and gently stroke Bards arm.
“But my Lady, he, Bard is a nobody, not even worthy of your presence,” he said a bit annoyed. You stepped closer to Alfrid and took his hands in yours.
“I see every man, woman and child as equals. That is why the King has sent me. I need no luxury, I only want to help the people, that is why my visit is so discrete,” you smiled at him. He looked as if he was in love. He gulped and nodded at you.
“As you wish my fair Lady,” he said and kissed your hand. You smiled at him (not meaning it of course).
Something stirred in Bard when he watched Alfrid being so close to you. He knew that you were only putting up an act but the way Alfrid looked at you disgusted him. He was taken by your words though, you sounded like a true ruler. He knew you meant every word you said about the people. He admired that. So Alfrid let you go, and the barge continued on into the city.
Next chapter will contain a lot of fluff so stay tuned!

The Elf and the Man - part 1
Tumblr media
Far too long have you remained in the shadows, waiting to return to what you love. You have a quest at hand, but what comes after? Will your life be as before or will you choose another path?
A/N: Hi everyone! I am back after not posting for 3 years! Gosh I’m so sorry, I haven’t had the motivation, but to make up for that I have a new fic with either 3 or 5 parts. I haven’t decided were this story ends so I guess you guys will decide for me haha! Anyways, this is a Thranduil x Bard x reader, as many of you have requested, and this first one is mostly about Thranduil! This is the first story in a long time that I’m really proud of, so I hope you like it! Enjoy!
Word Count: 1481
The Greenwood forest was a lot darker than you last remembered. The wind was blowing a bit colder and the trees where silent. The leaves that used to be a beautiful green had turned brown and the sun’s rays couldn’t reach the forest floor. You knew what caused this, and you knew why the forest couldn’t fight back. You hadn’t told the company of who you where or what your purpose was on this quest. But as you neared the heart of the forest, you remembered your life there. Your life with him. You had promised yourself to never look upon the king of Mirkwood again, yet here stood the royal guard, ready to take you to him. You stood in the very back of the company, desperate to not be noticed. You failed miserably.
“Tell me, why is an elf traveling with a company of dwarves and halflings?” Legolas asked. You knew that voice anywhere, how sweet it was to hear his voice again.
“Mae-govannen Legolas,” you said.
Legolas walked over to you and saw your (E/C) eyes smiling back at him.
“It cannot be!” he said in disbelief.
Legolas approached you at a slow pace. When he reached you, he reached out his hands to remove your hood. His hands were shaking with both fear and anticipation.
“Don’t you dare touch her boy!”, Thorin bellowed and neared you. Legolas didn’t care about the dwarf leader. All his attention was on you.
“It’s alright Thorin,” you said and held up your hand to stop him. You gave him a reassuring nod and so he took a step back.
“How can this be, the battle of Gundabad…” he paused. “…you died mother.” You reached for his hands and held them gently. All eyes were on the two of you. You had a lot to explain to the company.
“Yes, I was slain, your father was with me when it happened. However, the Valar of middle earth brought me back. My purpose on this earth is not yet done,” you responded. He smiled with teary eyes.
“I have missed you so very much mother,” he whispered and embraced you in a hug.
“And I u my son,” you said with a shaking breath. When the elves of the king’s guard realized that you were in fact the Queen, they all bowed and showed their respect to you.
“Excuse me, but what the bloody hell is going on Y/N?” Kili asked. You hadn’t noticed his question, being to busy hugging the life out of your son. Luckily Tauriel could give him a discreet answer.
“Be careful dwarf, you are looking upon the Queen of the Woodlan realm, The Queen of Stars. We all thought she was gone, until now,” she whispered. Kili was as confused as all the other dwarves and hobbit in the company.
“You’re telling me Y/N, our lass, is THE Queen of all Queens, forget it. She is a legend and a story, Y/N however is real!” he responded.
“She IS real, as all the stories is about her, however her ending needs to be changed for she has returned,” Tauriel said. Kilis mouth opened in disbelief as the others did the same. All except Thorin, he always knew there was something special about you.
“Elentári,(Queen of Stars)” he said with a smile.
                                                        ***
When you and the company entered the throne room, you felt a sense of relief, to finally be home. But at the same time fear to face your husband after centuries apart. Legolas had not yet told the King of your return. This was something that you had to do yourself. You knew what pain your husband had gone through since that sorrowful day, because you had felt the same. That was one of the reasons you never returned…you feared for his heart. But most of all you feared of him not wanting you anymore.
“Tell me, why is there a woman in your company?” Thranduil asked. All eyes were on you once again.
“Father, you better take this else were!” Legolas warned. Thranduil gave Legolas a look and then returned his attention to you. Your heart pounded faster for every minuet that passed.
“Remove your hood!” Thranduil commanded. You let out a faint sight, you had feared for this moment for so long, but at the same time longing for it. When you revealed yourself, something shifted in Thranduil, he fell back on his throne and held a hand on his heart.
“Lacaraitë! (Impossible)” he whispered in disbeliefe. It was like he had seen a ghost, which was true in a way.
“Leave us!” Thranduil bellowed. His voice echoed through the throne room and the guards didn’t need to be told twice. Everyone was escorted out, all except for you.
“I he- I held you the day you were slain, how is this possible?” he asked gently. You approached his throne with careful steps.
“The Valar blessed me with a new life, another chance to for fill my purpose on this earth,” you explained. He walked down his throne, so he could speak face to face.
“After all these years, why haven’t you returned to me meleth nín (my love)?” he cooed. Thranduil caressed your cheek, and o how you had missed his presence. This was all too much, and so a tear fell from your eye. Never in your deepest dreams you thought that you would meet him again. You thought you had to live this new life alone, without love.
“ú-chebin estel anim Thranduil (I have kept no hope for myself),” you whispered with a shaking breath. He embraced you and held you tight.
“Meleth nín, I will never part from you ever again, I love you” he said lovingly.
You met his tearful eyes and he smiled at you. Finely, after hundreds of years, you kissed. The kiss was filled with so much passion and love that you thought you would burst. When you pulled away pure joy and love was the only thing visible in his eyes. You could live in this moment forever, but it made you realize what lies ahead.
“But I can’t stay, I have a quest at hand that I must fulfil. If not, I was brought back for no reason,” you whispered. His smile fell, and the realization dawned on him.
“And why are these halflings more important, than being by my side Y/N?” he said sternly.
“War is coming, neither you like it or not my love! Both good and evil will fight for that mountain, and so will I!” you said fiercely.
You stepped away from him and walked to your old chambers. Thranduil was left alone with his thoughts. He knew what he had to do to keep his Queen.
“Guards! Put the dwarves in the dungeon and let them root,” he said with a wicked smile.
                                                        ***
You sat in your old chambers, nothing had changed. Even your old dresses were still there. You reached for your favorite one, your battle attire. This dress was different, it was synched in the waist with a corset like shape which was plated with silver armor. The dress was floor length with long sleeves and shifted in silver and dark green colors. What made it practical was the slit in the middle of the skirt. That way you could easily move your legs. With it came a pair of long boots and plain tights. You changed into it and continued to explore the room. Your crown sat on a pedestal right by the window. It was as beautiful as the day you last saw it. Beneath it sat a silver plate with one simple word carved into it.
“Elentári (Queen of Stars),” you read aloud.
You smiled once again at who you were and who you will always be. As your sister Arwen was the evening star, you were the morning star. That was why you were called the Queen of Stars. You wondered how the future would be, would the Valar allow you to live your old life again? Would you even return after this quest was finished? Suddenly your thoughts were interrupted by Legolas who opened the door.
“Naneth (mother), the dwarves, they have escaped!” Legolas warned.
“Legolas, what do you mean that they have escaped, they were never prisoners?” you asked. Legolas gave you a guilty look. Of course, Thranduil was going to keep you here no matter who stood in his way. In this case your fellow companions. You sprung to your feet and grabbed your cloak.
“I must go! Show me which way they went!” you commanded.
“But naneth, they must be far away by now,” he responded. You patted your sons’ shoulder.
“Have you forgotten my skill in hunting?” You said with a smile. “You got your speed from me, not your father. If he wants to sit out this war…so be it. I cannot!” you said and ran out of the room.
Guess who she will meet in part 2 ;)

The Angel
Tumblr media
A/N: Hi everyone! Sorry that I haven’t updated anything but I have been occupied by school and a stupid cold. So I wasn’t motivated enought to write, but here is a very fluffy story that I hope you’ll enjoy. Don’t be fooled by the gif! It’s for once a happy ending!
Word Count: 651
“Dada, can you tell me again, about you and mama?” Fili smiled down at the toddler who sat in his lap by the fire. “Of course darling!” The little girl clapped her hands together, absolutely thrilled. “Alright, when I first saw your mother, I was completely mesmerized by her beauty…”
Fili lied on one of the hospital beds in the elvish infirmary tent. He was badly wounded by Azog’s sword and he slipped away more and more every minute. The guards had brought them to you in need of the most skilled hands. You took one look at the wound and realized what needed to be done. After five hours of healing spells and stitching you stepped away from Fili. He was going to survive.
When he awoke, you were still there cleaning his wounds. Fili was light headed from the blood loss, but when he saw you, it was like he was reborn. He was in the presence of an angel. You turned around and when you saw that he was awake you smiled. “Well hello, I’m so glad that you’re awake!” He just stared at you, wondering how he got the pleasure of speaking to you. “I’m-I’m glad to.” You giggled at his statement and sat beside him. “How are you feeling?” He tried to sit up but was pushed down again by the pain that radiated from the wound. “Ow, well that is not comfortable, I’ll tell you that!” You nodded and brought him a tea mixture. “Here, drink this! It will take away the pain.” He drank the mixture and his eyelids became heavy. “Wait, this makes me sleepy.” You smiled. “Yes, it’s supposed to.” He shook his head and put the tea to the side. “Then I don’t want it.” You were confused why he wanted to feel such a strong pain, when he could remove it with a simple drink. “Why? If I may ask.” He reached for your delicate hand and traced small circles on top of it. “Because my lady, you are an angel on earth and your beauty alone heals me inside. I would not trade that for a painless sleep.” You sucked in a breath at his words. No one had ever said such beautiful words to you before.
“Then I will stay with you, until you don’t need my presence.” Fili knew that you would be important to him in the future. Because in that moment, his heart ached more than his battle wound. “I think I will always need your presence angel.” You blushed at his comment and looked away a short minute. He smiled at your flushed face. “Then it’s only fair that I learn your name, always is a long time after all.” Fili couldn’t contain a chuckle, which resulted in immense pain. You held a worried expression and stroke his arm soothingly. Then your king, Thranduil entered your tent. You bowed and greeted him. “I would like a moment alone with the King please. Would you mind leaving y/n?” Fili looked confused as to why the elven King would call him that. “No of course, I will be near if you need me my king.” Thranduil nodded and turned his focus to Fili. “I hope to see you soon y/n.” You turned your head to the dwarf prince and smiled. “So do I master…?” “Fili” “Fili, well I will return when my king allows me.”
“That day she saved my life in more than one way. And from that moment on we lived happily ever after.” He looked down at the toddler that was now sleeping with a large smile on her face. He kissed her forehead and put her to bed. When he turned to the door he saw your proud face. “I love it when you tell that story.” He chuckled and embraced you. “Then I shall always tell it.” You kissed him softly and smiled. “I love you.” “And I you my angel.”

Request: Can u do one w/ Beorn X shy reader in the company? She catches him staring at his muscles or something like that?
A/N: Hi everyone! It’s been a while...so sorry about that!! But to make up for it, here is a LONG request about one of my favorites, Beorn! You also get a dubble gif as an apology! I hope you’ll like it!
P.S Thorin x reader is coming very soon so stick around for that! Love ya!!
Word Count: 2112
Run. That is the only thing you have done on this journey. Endless running with no destination in sight. Although, today was another type of ‘run’. It was a ‘run for your lives’ type of run. More trilling than the ordinary jog but extremely stressful. “Into the house!”
***
All the dwarves were asleep, including Bilbo. You yourself was no dwarf or hobbit. But a human. A shy one at that. You were not outgoing as the dwarfs was and you had a hard time sharing feelings with anyone. Well anyone except Gandalf. But you were the best warrior of them all, which gained you respect. That is why Thorin allowed you to go on the journey.
You woke up in shock, the nightmares never let you sleep. And this night was no exception. You decided to take some fresh air so you stood up and walked towards the door. However, someone stood in your way. When you got closer you could see that it was Gandalf by the window, smoking his pipe. “Good evening my lady, why are you not sleeping.” “I wasn’t tired.” Gandalf glanced at you. He knew that you couldn’t sleep due to nightmares. But he decided not to ask about it. “What was that thing Gandalf?” “He is a shape shifter. The very last of his kind. He is both a bear and a man.” You nodded, you had only heard tales of the shapeshifters. But never seen one. “I will go outside for some fresh air.” Gandalf stopped you with his staff. “That is not very wise my lady!” “I will be fine!” Then you went past him and through the doors.
You sighed in relief when you breathed in the cool air. It was calming to only hear the wind and your own breathes. Then you heard footsteps from behind you. You turned to see the silhouette of a very tall man. “Who are you?” You were a bit intimidated by the man standing in front of you, but you kept that to yourself. “I a-am y/n.” When Beorn heard your soft voice speak, he felt something inside him flutter. “A woman, tell me, what are you doing here?” “We borrowed your house as protection, we were chased.” “Chased? By who?” You hesitated to answer. What if he was with them? But something about his deep voice felt safe. “Azog the defiler.” You couldn’t see the man’s face but the way his body reacted to the name gave away which side he stood on. “Then, you should not be out here alone my lady. Azog is a ruthless killer who enjoys others suffering. You are not safe in the open!” The way he described it made you realize that he had met Azog before. He walked past you and was about to leave. “I can take care of myself, thank you very much. And if you go out there by yourself, they will probably kill you.” He turned around and an unseen smile spread across his face. “Do you doubt my strength lady y/n?” “No because you are literally strong as a bear. But they will outnumber you!” You walked towards him so you could hear what he would say. “Those foul things are hunting your company and I won’t let them take you.” You remembered the day you had faced Azog. You saved Thorin and you would always remember the orc’s face. He was cruel and dangerous.
You ran after the tall man on the field. “You can’t face them alone.” He stopped when he realized that you had followed him. “Yes I can! This is my land and no orc filth will take one step here. I will defend it with my life!” You were frustrated. You had never been this stubborn ever. Well only once. That was when your father had said the same thing as this man is saying right now. “I will defend it with my life!” “Then I will defend it with you.” You brought out your bow and arrows and walked towards the forest. “Oh no you don’t, go back inside!” You faced him again and stepped close to him. “No!” He stepped forward and took the bow from you. “I am a great warrior, I can help you!” “You are not risking your life for this!” You felt courage in you and suddenly you were almost yelling. “YES! I will risk my life for this. Everyone I love have died for me to live. Those creatures are the reason for my sorrow and loss and if I can help you kill them I will!” Both Beorn and you were shocked at your outrage. You never talked about your past to anyone, but this man made you say the biggest tragedy of your life. Then he stepped forward and gave you the bow. “I understand, that is what happened to my family as well. Azog captured my kin and tortured us. Watching us kill each other one by one.” You felt compassion for him, he had probably seen and done horrible things. “I’m so sorry.” “Me too” You and he understood each other, the past made you stronger, but it would always be there to remind you of the loss. “I’m Beorn” You smiled. Because he had trusted you with his name. You didn’t know why it was so easy to talk to Beorn. Maybe because of the comfortable darkness or just the way he acted towards you.
 ***
The sun was rising and you and Beorn had come back from the patrol. Nothing unexpected happened which lead to deep conversations instead. It was unlike you to open up so fast to a stranger. Especially men. You walked into the house while Beorn stayed outside. When you entered, the company stood in a circle.
“This will require some delicate handling; we must tread carefully. The last person to have startled him was torn to shreds.” You walked towards the crowd of dwarves. You now understood why Beorn was so defensive towards everyone. “Ah y/n! Good, you and Bilbo will come with me.” “Where?” Dwalin looked at you worryingly. “No, you are not sending out the lass to the beast!” Thorin stepped forward as well and placed a hand on your shoulder. “I agree with Dwalin!” Thorin and Dwalin had always been protective over you. Even though you were a human. Gandalf ignored them and spoke directly to you. “Beorn is not very fond of dwarfs, but a beautiful human like yourself should warm his heart a little.” You laughed at his comment. “I have already talked to Beorn!” Gandalf looked pleased. “I hope you would.” You smiled, then looked at Dwalin’s confused face. “Y/N he is dangerous!” You placed your hand on Dwalin’s arm to make him calm. “I think he’s rather nice actually.”
 ***
“Good morning….Good morning!” Beorn stopped the chopping and turn around to face Gandalf. “Who are you?” “I’m Gandalf. Gandalf the Grey.” Beorn didn’t look impressed by Gandalf. “Never heard of him.” Bilbo peeked from behind Gandalf and Beorn didn’t miss the little hobbit. “Who is this little fellow?” “Well, this would be Mr. Baggins, of the Shire.” “He’s not a dwarf, is he?” Gandalf explained that Bilbo was a hobbit. They also talked about Bilbo's family for a while, until you decided to step out from the house. When Beorn saw you he was mesmerized. Gandalf noticed this and smiled.  “Ah and of course how could I forget. This is Lady y/n. But I believe that you already knew that.” You looked up at the shapeshifter in awe. You hadn’t seen Beorn’s face in the dark when you first met him. He was very handsome and his physique was impressive. He noticed how you stared at his muscles and laughed. “Eyes up here darling.” Your gaze snapped from his body to his eyes. Your cheeks reddened. “I’m sorry.” He stepped forward and took your hand in yours. “No worries my lady, I take it as a compliment.” Then he kissed the top of your hand. You couldn’t say anything even if you wanted to. Luckily, Gandalf spoke for you. “She is a little shy but once you get to know her she’s the most wonderful person.” You smiled at Gandalf and looked at Beorn again. “Yes indeed! I wouldn’t agree on the shy part though!” You looked at him with a curious grin. “Why so?” “Let’s just say that you were far from shy last night!” You chuckled at his statement and you blushed at the thought of what you talked about in the late hours. Suddenly two dwarves stumbled out from the house. Beorn stepped in front of you with his axe for protection. “Oh right, I quite forgot, we have a couple of dwarves in our company as well.”
Several hours later
You took a last walk through Beorn’s home. It was perfect to you, simple and charming. You walked out to the others and saw a horse with some of your supplies on it. Bilbo’s horse was next to yours and he struggled to come up. You chuckled and was about to walk in his direction, when a large hand took yours. “Promise me that you’ll survive this.” You turned around and faced the tall shape shifter. You smiled up at him and you stroke his cheek with the back of your hand. You realized that this was probably the last time you would be able to see Beorn. All the obstacles that awaits is beyond dangerous. It made you scared to even think about it. But what made you even more scared was to never see Beorn again. “I will try.” He furrowed his eyebrows and took your hand in his. “Try, is not good enough. I want you to fight for your life and never give up. Because I want you to come back to me!” You were a bit taken aback by his words but it made you warm with joy. “Promise me y/n!”  Then you stood on your toes and pecked his cheek. “I can’t promise you that Beorn, it’s a dangerous mission.” He pulled you in and hugged you tightly. “Then you mustn’t leave.” You shook your head and pulled away from him. “No I must go, I am a part of the company.” Then he whispered the sweetest words in your ear. “But you’re already a part of me too.” You searched his eyes for any lies, but all you could find was affection. You realized that yours and his lips were very close now. “Please!” You felt a tear slip down your cheek. “Y/N! Come now, we need to move.” You closed your eyes and stepped away from Beorn. When you opened them again you could see a disappointed man who held sorrow in his eyes. You were the first person in a long time that made him feel alive. And now you slipped away like everyone else had.
You walked away from Beorn towards Thorin. You had a sad expression on your face which the dwarf king noticed. He put a gentle hand on your shoulder which made you look at him. “Are you alright?” You shook your head. “No” You mounted your horse and looked back at Beorn. He stood in the same spot with Gandalf. They were both looking at you which made you turn back around again.
1 year later
You now stood right in front of the large house that belonged to Beorn. The battle for the mountain was though and many lives was sacrificed. Still, here you were, alive and well. You knocked on the wooden door to meet the man you loved. Yes, you did love Beorn, you realized that when you had left him. The constant longing to be with him again never left you throughout the journey. Suddenly the door opened and there he was. He stared at you for a long time, not believing his eyes. “I’m back” That was all it took. Beorn chuckled and lifted you into his arms. You laughed with pure joy as he spun you around. “Thank the valar!” He put you down again but his hands remained around your waist. “I have only dreamed about this day.” “So have I, many times.” He came closer and you were as close as last time. “Will you stay with me?” You stroke his cheek and gave him the one word he needed to hear. “Forever.” Then he gave you the most tender kiss. It was filled with love and longing. Something you both deserved after a life of missouri. From that day on, you always had each other, forever.

For All Eternity - part 4
Tumblr media
A/N: Finally! It’s done! I’m so sorry that it took so long but I haven’t had the time to write. But here it is anyways. Kind of long as well! You will totally hate me in the next chapter. This is not as bad as the next one though. I decided to wait with the extrem intensity to the next chapter. So enjoy for now! It is a bit sad though! But what isn’t on this blog;)

Part 3
Translation:
Gwao hi - Go now  Man os lle? - What about you?  Ego - Go
Amralime - My love  Hîr nín, Legolas - My lord Legolas
Maewado i Naug. Boe i nahd egeno. - Take your leave of the dwarf. You are needed else where.
You panicked when you saw the large barrier of wood and stone that trapped Fili in the house. Groans and tumbling wood could be heard from the other side. After a while it stopped and was replaced by an exhausted voice. “There is no way out! I’m trapped!” Kili tried to push his brother to find a way. “There is always a way! Try to move up in the house!” Rumbling could be heard and Fili’s groans echoed. “It’s no point, I can’t get out Kili!” “Sure you can, you must!” It was quiet for a while, then Fili began to speak again. “Tauriel, please save them! Take everyone out of here and bring y/n to safety!” “What? NO! We are not leaving him! Please Tauriel we can’t!” Bofur held you tightly so you wouldn’t run away. Oin did the same with Kili. “Get out of here!! Or we are all going to die!” Tilda and Sigrid were crying from everything that was going on. So were you. Bofur tried to calm you down but nothing worked. “Help him please!” Then Bofur whispered something in your ear. “There is nothing we can do love.” You shook your head and prayed to anyone who listened to save him. But the only person that answered was Tauriel. “I’m sorry y/n, but we have to go.” You sighed and felt truly defeated. You knew that you had done the same thing if you would have been in Fili’s position. Suddenly a flash of blond came jumping down from a rooftop. Tauriel immediately identified him. “Legolas! Where have you been?” He looked at our pained faces and answered. “I’ve been hunting an orc pack, you and y/n seemed to forget about that.” Tauriel rolled her eyes at his sarcasm. “Why is everyone crying?” Tilda pointed at the fallen roof and explained what happened. “So, master dwarf is trapped in there!” Legolas followed her pointed finger to the crumbles. He glanced at you and that was all it took. He saw the sorrow in your eyes. The same sorrow his father held. Loss. So he jumped onto the remaining part of the house and made a hole. Before he jumped into the destroyed house he turned to Tauriel. “Tauriel, Gwao hi!” She looked shocked. “Man os lle?” He looked at her and shook his head no. “Ego.” Then he disappeared into the building.
After that Tauriel pushed the boat away from the house and started to paddle. “NO! What are you doing? We can’t leave them!!” She looked at Kili who had grabbed her arm in agony. “I was given a direct order; one I will follow.” Kili held a hurt look, almost pleading. You looked at him and he made his way over to you. He took you in his arms while you were crying. You kept repeating one name, Fili.
 ***
“He hit the Dragon! He killed it!” Everyone turned towards Bard and the now dead dragon. “That’s impossible!” “Well you better believe it elf!” You had regained some strength and decided to survive for now. You held Tilda in your arms and she was still scared. “Will we survive my lady?” You smiled at her and hugged her. “Yes we will Tilda.” Then you felt her shake and sob. “But my Da and Bain, are they dead?” You couldn’t answer that, you yourself had a loved one in the ruins of the town. But you wouldn’t give up hope. “From what I know about your father and brother, they should be alive and well.”  She smiled, but it fainted quickly. “What if you’re wrong?” You shook your head and held her small hand. “I’m never wrong.”
 Several hours later…
“DA! BAIN! Where are you?” The beach was full of desperate people, searching for their loved ones. You still held Tilda’s hand and after a long time of searching, you and Tauriel started to lose hope. Then you heard a commotion rising on your right side. “I wouldn’t turn on my own Alfred, not now.” Tilda recognized the voice as her father’s and ran to him immediately. “DA!!” “Come here!” The family was reunited once more. Bard walked up to you and put both of his hands on your shoulders. “Thank you, for everything my lady!” You nodded and placed your hand on his left hand. “Please don’t thank me, thank Tauriel, she was the one that got us out of there.” He turned to Tauriel and bowed. “You have my eternal gratitude, I will always be there, if help is needed.” Tauriel gave him an elvish gesture, a polite way to say thank you.
You limbed away from the group and looked out over the lake. “He would have been proud of you y/n! I saw you with Tilda, you never gave up.” You looked at Tauriel with tears in your eyes. “I blame myself for it, if he hadn’t held me in his arms, he would still be alive.” She put a gentle hand on your arm and smiled sadly at you. “But you wouldn’t be alive if he hadn’t. Besides he may still be alive.” You nodded and started to cry again. Kili came and started to talk to Tauriel. Their love for each other was evident. You felt bad for Legolas though, he loved her deeply. Probably had for centuries and now her heart belonged to somebody else. That is something you couldn’t relate to, because Fili was yours the moment he saw you. “Come with me. I know how I feel; I’m not afraid. You make me feel alive.” “I can’t” You smiled when you heard Kili’s declaration. “Tauriel, amralime” “I don’t know what that means.” Kili smiled lovingly at her. “I think you do.”
“Amralime” Fili stroke your cheek lovingly while you looked out over the blue mountains. “What does that mean?” He smiled at you and took your hand in his. “It means ‘my love’” Your eyes widened and your cheeks heated up. You dropped your gaze to hide your face. He laughed at your nervous behavior. He placed one finger under your chin and made you look at him. “Yes, because I love you and you will forever be my amralime.”
You sighed at the memory, it was your most precious memory of Fili. The first time he said those three words. One last tear fell from your face into the water. It created small circles that became larger and larger until they disappeared. Tauriel smiled Kili but stiffened when she felt a familiar pretense behind her. “Hîr nín, Legolas.” You turned around at Legolas’s name in hope of seeing Fili. But he was nowhere to be seen. “Maewado i Naug. Boe i nadh egeno.” You couldn’t understand what they were saying but from Tauriel’s disappointed face, it was not beneficial. You turned back around to the lake and sat down. When you put weight on your injured leg it was a lot of pain that came with it. But the pain of losing Fili was even grander than what a wound would ever be.
Tauriel came to your side and sighed when she saw your wound. “I will help you heal, you won’t be able to wait for it to heal naturally!” “Why not?” She gazed over the lake and her eyes landed on the mountain. “Because another evil is coming, a more powerful one than the dragon.” Her gaze was now on you. “We need you y/n, we are riding to Gundabad and so will you!” You frowned and threw a pebble in the water. “What’s the point anyway” She tightened her fists and looked at you intensely. “The point is that Fili saved you because he knew that you were special. Now you need to prove that you were worth saving, for him!” Those words made you think clear again, he wouldn’t want you to stop living if he died. He would have want you to stay strong, otherwise he sacrificed himself in vain. That’s when you decided to keep on hoping. You stood up and dried your tears. “Alright, so be it!” You and Tauriel walked into the woods were Legolas had two horses prepared for the journey. “Now, let me see your wound!”
 Meanwhile…
Kili walked up to Legolas when he saw your pained face. Tauriel gave him a look of, ‘I got this’. Then she walked over to you. “Alright elf, where is my brother?” Legolas turned to Kili and told him about how they escaped. “So, your brother is currently walking towards this spot. When we could hear the screams and cries, he told me that he would walk the rest of the way. He motioned me to ride along and see if everyone survived. And so, you all did.” Kili was confused by this. “So he survived. But it doesn’t make any sense, y/n is here, her well-being is everything he cares about! Why would he want to tarry?” Legolas nodded knowingly. “Yes he told me this, if that isn’t a good enough explanation for his actions, then I don’t know what is.” Kili was still confused and waited on Legolas to explain. Legolas looked over his shoulder to see you and Tauriel walk away. “A great battle is coming to the mountain. I’m not sure when, but it is inevitable, evil forces is drawn to Erebor. Therefore y/n will travel with us, because…” “…then she will be far away from the battle. If she knew I was alive she would never agree to leave.” The voice who continued to explain did not belong to Legolas. Kili turned around and was relieved to see who it was. There stood Fili, alive and well. “Hello brother.” Kili’s eyes widened and he stepped forward and hugged Fili. “You’re alive! But wait a second, y/n, she is heartbroken, now that you’re alive she’s hurting for no reason.” Fili shook his head. “No, the battle for the mountain will be the toughest yet and what if I would die? To put her through the same pain one more time would kill her.” Kili took a step back. “So you’re basing this on a ‘what if’?” Fili looked at the ground. “Brother please understand that this was a hard decision.” “It shouldn’t even be an option! I held her in my arms when she wept and called your name in the boat. That pain is not worth it!” “Kili stop-” “No Fili I won’t, yes you could die but so could she. Every moment that you have together is precious and I hope that we all survive this. Other wise you just threw away your last moment with her.” Kili turned around and walked aboard the boat. Fili sighed and turned to Legolas. “Take care of her!” Legolas placed his hand over his heart and extended it to Fili. “I will, she won’t be harmed!” Fili nodded and walked onto the boat. “I’m sorry y/n.”
