Why I ship riri with shuri: black girls in stem supremacy, the wakanda setting, the fact they hated each other at first (riri is too disrespectful and sees shuri as a rich girl that never had to work for what she has, shuri is too condescending and sees riri as a childish brat), how they similar they are yet so different (they experience with their blackness, their different fields of study that interest them), how many questions this would raise (eg if they get married and shuri was the queen with that make riri queen consort??), has the most fanmade content

Why I ship riri with viv: inventor/robot trope, best match for each other, the champions scene/set in the comics, their color palettes go so well together, the one with the most canon development, has a lot of angst potential (the primary rejection, viv 2.0 existence, riri feeling pressured), they’re very similar (both very tech oriented, have difficulty relating to humans, have a special to talking with each other), they’re so similar yet also so different, they’re soulmates!!

riri who spends entire classes working on unrelated projects + hw from other classes. riri who forgets assignments and doesn't care to ask in the moment then has to do a walk of shame to the teacher/professors desk during office hours cause she remembers she can't fuck around she's on scholarship

riri who was a lil obnoxious and rubbed ppl the wrong way in class discussions. riri who constantly gets told in her report cards that she's too loud, too inattentive, too disruptive so she eventually stops participating. then she's too quiet, teachers egg her on to not waste her talents but she doesn't care anymore.

miles g and atsv hobie being weird tech buddies need to meet riri from comic hobie’s world. please. they can create something so powerful out of your busted speaker and two doorknobs.
miles = super creative and has the ideas for combining super unlikely materials on the fly, broadens horizons and offers cheaper alternatives
riri = has the actual knowledge and building experience with more stable materials to go off of, her confidence is motivating in a project
hobie = somehow able to get literally all the parts they’d need each time no matter how ridiculous, brings a calm and slightly playful air to the whole process
