thinking about the implications of gordon ramsay existing in the trollhunters universe. like imagine toby pulling up with a flyer for some cooking show. he urges jim to join and jim is visibly sweating and going "haha i think i'll pass" because is toby insane? gordon ramsay is literally in charge of that show.

now blinky and aaarrrgghh are very curious about who this guy is that's got jim looking slightly intimidated. after toby explains and shows a couple compilations, they're like "oh this? this is nothing. why, we have someone from our own who is even worse than that!"

it's troll!gordon ramsay. except this troll's name is garnet ruby or something. not even a traditional name like kanjigar, vendel, dictatious, nope. just garnet ruby. because trolls are made of (gem)stone and i want a gordon ramsay knock off character can you blame me?

Another Alternate ROTT Ending Because After All These Months I Am Still Mourning

Here's the idea: Instead of Jim time travelling(?)* alone, the Kronisphere has everyone who is part of The Ninth Configuration reverse time (in other words metaphorically smack a magical undo button) together back to before the train scene.

NOT to the beginning. I get that it's nice to entertain the idea of saving everyone, but it's insanely idealistic, which contrasts what the writers have said several times throughout the shows -- that death is a part of war.

On a tangentially related note, the writers of Trollhunters also emphasized the power in numbers, so far as to have Jim contradict the past trollhunters' traditions, yet ROTT had the poor young Atlas take this time travelling burden alone.

Which I don't get because, if eight people touching a stone can make Jim pull off Excalibur, I'm sure there's no issue with applying the same logic to the Kronisphere. They're both mysterious, magical objects, are they not?

*Note: I'm actually not sure if Jim actually time travelled LMAO because there's too many differences in the reality he went to. BUT we've seen that time travelling led to moppet vs master Douxie which is why I chose time reversal, as it avoids that issue.

Now there's three great things about this ending:

1) The 9th Configuration team has another chance of getting things right while retaining their memories at the same time! The rest of the world would not remember though as they didn't wield the Kronisphere (and let's be real, maybe it's for the best if they don't).

2) Point #1 + time reversal to the train scene = Jim has generally all the people he knows and loves with him. For example Toby, who although doesn't remember anything from the 1st timeline like his own death, is still a lot more of the Toby Jim knows and is best friends with than Trollhunters S1 Toby.

3) This ending would still achieve the 'open ending that's up for interpretation' criteria because the ending would cut off before we get to see what happens so we wouldn't actually know if the team ends up succeeding or not the second time round.
