hey, generally speaking i am pro-pirating but there is post going around with a free version of Maus by Art Spiegelman on a google doc and i am genuinely asking you all to not reblog it. Art Spiegelman is still alive. he still makes money off of Maus. and what is being monetized is his generational trauma as the son of a holocaust survivor. please either buy Maus or get it from the library (libraries also benefit the author and when more people request or check out a book it communicates to the library that they need more copies). pirating Maus is very different than pirating a marvel movie or reading a google doc of a book no longer in print. please use critical thinking.

I said I'd link the song but after looking for and listening to it I don't want to so take the few lyrics that have the vibe I'm talking about:

I wanted to add explanation but I blah right now. I'm gonna try at least a little. Okay so as you can see my view of Navel is someone who wants a place but understands he's playing a losing game for the crown. Additionally, I'm gonna make double use of that last part, see pre-story, it's his work and dedication going into helping Orange, because it makes him a part of something with someone. But also I do think he differentiates himself from Orange slightly in that frame point. then I think after Senribana Monogatari he's again in the same boat as Orange, he's gonna want to sorta find his own thing with in the same box he's in.
I should really just make another Navel post. I'll get around to it.

Part 2 in fixing the fact that I haven't spoken about Orange & Navel in a minute: Orange.
Okay so. I don't think I've already said this so here we go. I will take no disagreements on the core details of this (but I will gladly accept ideas and stuff for details around this.) (Just remembered year four is currently story-ing, oop. I doubt they'll say anything but I'm ready to fight canon on this too)
Once they get past the awkwardness of the Prince compettetion and stuff, Orange is indeed one of Citron's biggest fans, and it's really pushing biggest.
However! Orange would rather bite off his own tongue than admit that outloud, especially to Citron. Tsuzuru and probably Azuma have picked up on it though. Kinda hard for them not to with Orange being very open with Azuma and probably asking Tsuzuru why Citron doesn't have more lines in the plays. (Yes it's sorta in an annoying fan kinda way but it's okay because it's Orange.)

Didn't really want to say this because I'm still trying not to promote anything Disney but I haven't spoken about Navel or Orange in so long it's adding to my inner rage. So.
Navel. If I recall the song correctly(I'm on my phone on the mobile website I'll look for the song and add it/check it later) I believe Anna's cut song The Spare while not 1:1 is Navel vibes to me. Like I think I mentioned this before (in my My Grand Plan is a Tangerine & Navel song explanation post I think) but Navel feels like, to me, someone who does indeed want to he seen and considered important for things but knows he's just not seen as much as Citron and Orange. He worked alongside Orange and was acknowledged to an extent but in reality he barely had a bigger chance than Tangerine at getting the spot. The likelyness was so little. And in a way he was sort of an extension of Orange.
Gosh I love Navel and I love the Zafran Princes so I'm sorry that's not more coherrant (i'm sorry I can't spell unless that's right but it looks wromg so sorry if I am wrong) and I'm so sorry Orange this post is not about you and idk if the one I've had in my head is anywhere near that.
Anyway if they were my side characters I'd give Navel a self [word that's not quite discovery but like sorta is and sorta means to show individuality or something like that] arc part 2. (Part 2 because in my head he already had a part 1 growing up. See when he figured he'd always be considered and seen with Orange he wanted to still make strides in being his own person even if they were little things like the way he wears his hair. (I'd say I can't believe I'm putting this in a reblog thread(?) almost no one will see but like. It was somewhat already mentioned in my attempt to design him that no one has seen so this is fine actually)

I really badly want to talk about and share my fics omg. I don't know how to function sometimes they're just like bursting to get out of me.

Past me is a joke! In one of my draft posts, I mention I have a CitoIta fic idea that might be larger but would likely be able to include Izumi and the rest of the Spring Troupe. What idea was that?
