Hear me out. Change nothing about Total Drama World Tour except gender bend Alejandro. It would be absolutely wonderful and here’s why.

(The name I’ll use for now as Fem! Alejandro will be Amaia but let me now what you guys think we should make it! :3)

SO first of all, when I said we’re changing nothing else I meant we’re changing nothing else. Amaia is just as much of a Casanova and the potential there is so funny.

-Exhibit 1 - evil women are just so- *chefs kiss* and there can never be too many hot vilenesses in a series

- Bridgette’s Bi awakening (No, Alejandro being a girl would not placate Geoff at all for the record. Geoff is a bi feminist who doesn’t downplay sapphic relationships unlike SOME straight men (good thing I consider Gidgette to be poly lol)

-Bridgette is not the only one who gets a Bi awakening. It’s just this new girl strutting in and making all the men insecure. And that is always slay.

- Amaia spends the entire season gaslight gatekeep girl bossing as in cannon, except it’s better because it’s just this new latina girl showing up and absolutely owning everyone and that’s my kind of ‘strong female character’.

- I’d like to point out Amaia would still be conventionally attractive in the same way Alejandro is for the masculine side, but just as Alejandro retains feminine traits to keep up his appearance, Amaia retains her muscles (not as bulked up because of lower testosterone levels but still!), and competency. This is a gender swap, not a personality swap.

- Whether Amaia would put on a more femme fatale of seducing girls away from their boyfriends or keep the dominant role from cannon switches up constantly because I think that’s neat.

- Aleheather. Yes. YES. This is literally the entire reason I made this. There are two wolves inside you; one is an enjoyer of the lesbian!Heather head cannon whilst the other finds Aleheather to be one of your favorite cannon ships. AND NOW. NOW THERE’S A SOLUTION TO MY STRUGGLE.

-First of all we finally get the girlboss vs. girlboss finale we deserve

- Enemies to lovers is a trope I always find to have just such sapphic energy like- that mean girl you were rivals with in school? yea you didn’t hate her you wanted to kiss her

-The wedding challenge…. Need I say more?

Ace-Aro DJ

I was starting to skim Island for headcanon proof and I didn't even have to go far for it!

"Not So Happy Campers Part 1" has this:

Duncan's remark of "She's all yours, man." Makes DJ give this face.

Yeah, the point of this scene could be 'blah, blah. Eva is undesirable' but we were just shown that Cody was trying to flirt with her too, and Duncan himself was turned off by her attitude/strength.

Then, Justin is announced! Everyone's surprised or delighted to see him. Everyone except...

Even Duncan whom I headcanon as closeted bi is surprised.

DJ is the only one who makes two faces in this scene-- confused and then frowning. (Coincidentially, I'm also an aromantic Justin truther, but he's not who this post is about.)

Now this scene!

In "X-treme Torture", the way Bridgette disproves DJ is the one who wrote that mystery haiku is... him deflecting.

...now that I'm typing this out, it feels like I can't word this well, but I hope you guys feel the same aro vibes I do in that particular interaction.

(We also need more smug DJ and DJ with bite moments tbh!)

No pictures for these next two examples of proof, since they're dialogue-based.

In "Up The Creek" DJ offers romantic advice to Geoff by comparing it to something he knows, that is, luring in a rabbit to feed.

In World Tour's Japan episode, he compares Alejandro's smooth moves being irresistible to his mom's gravy.

I think DJ is romance+sex repulsed, but he clearly has a thorough understanding of it. He was raised by two people in love!

He's emotionally mature and well rounded in physical activities too. His moms raised him well! He just feels uncomfortable when people make romantic remarks/advances toward him.

He has no qualms in affectionate touches or contact. (See also: my DJ+Lindsay Friendship post!)

Except, when there's a romantic or sexual layer added to it:

In this case (Action's "Aftermath II"), Geoff suggested off-screen that Gwen was being cozy with DJ when he just saved her life! He's clearly bothered by it, even though he was just talking pleasantly with Gwen.

In "Newf Kids on the Block" there's also that hot dog scene. (I've hit the picture limit TwT,) When Owen hits on DJ for Noah to try and get him into a alliance with Team Chris, DJ makes this face again.

Yeah, yeah there's the gay joke here, but given DJ's character we know thus far: chill, kind and soft-hearted. He wouldn't be homophobic.

(Again, even if it was accidental or fanon, he has two moms. Plus, he's been shown to accept things more easily than others, like being on good terms with Gwen in Action after the Trent ordeal. I highly doubt someone's sexuality would deter DJ from being nice, if morality or social pressure doesn't.)

Anyway, though. It serves to add to my point. He's made that face (or one similar to it) when it comes to romantically suggestive situations!

He's also one of the only campers (if not the only one, I'm not really thinking hard about the other 99 contestants.) whose storylines have never revolved or included attraction in any way.

In conclusion: aro/ace DJ. 💙

Courtney was never attracted to Duncan. She was attracted to the danger he radiated. When he wasn’t that, she wanted to change him. She obsessed over when he was gone and treated him like normal when he got back. And it is CANON that Courtney was more upset about Gwen betraying her than Duncan and really only missed her from the broken relationship.

I don’t know about you, but Courtney has to be the most lesbian coded character with extreme comphet I’ve ever seen.

Rating these trios:

1- IzNoWen: Izzy's chaotic energy and Noah's calm and neutral energy are the both polar sides to Owen's personality. I mean, they be like the perfect polyamorous group and would probably be the center of most comic relief. I imagine they having conversations like:

"who wants to order pizza?" (Owen)

"me! Hawaii flavored, or maybe pepperoni, half and half!" (Izzy)

"I like these ideas!" (Owen)

"Just get one more simple, like mozzarella" (Noah)

"What about three??" (Izzy)

"Perfect!" (Owen)

*Noah's face palm louder than Owen's farts*

2- BriLeTney: Even though Courtney and Leshawna could have their problems with leadership, Bridgette would be the one to calm they down and get a solution they both agree on. Besides that, I feel like they would be the most powerful of them all, and would have awesome girl's nights and sleepovers, with of course, lots of vegan and gluten-free goodies (just because I feel like Courtney would personally like to do them lol), spa (Leshawna idea), films and pillow war (Wich would surely be initiated by surprise, and everyone would be suspicious as hell). Also, I think they would talk A LOT about their boyfriends/romantic relationships/interests and have nicknames for everyone in the show.

3- HaDyCan: Chaotic. Just like that. Harold and Duncan don't get so well, so they would definitely fight, in his courageous days Cody would try to make things work, but would be shouted down by Duncan or both, in his least courageous days he would stay aside and work alone. There would be times when all of the boys would cooperate and be real trouble, mostly because all of them are really intelligent and could make a successful plan together, but I think they couldn't do nothing or very little against the BriLeTney group, since they're all very intelligent and skilled (and Leshawna/Courtney are the Achilles heel of Harold/Duncan). Besides all that, I don't really like that one because of Duncan, I have a feeling he would have way more power in decisions because of Harold and Cody being more physically weak.

4- LinHeaGwen: Not even the name looks good lol. Heather and Lindsay make a good pair, even though their friendship is toxic on tdi and they almost don't interact in the others seasons, I feel like they genuinely like eachother. Gwen on the other hand can't stand Heather's behavior and don't actually like Lindsay because she's dumb (or at least is what it appears to be in my point of view). They would fight all the time and almost do every challenge alone, plus as a friend group they probably would just stay together for being forced to. Gwen would definitely want to be with BriLeTney and Heather would want her out of the group as soon as possible. I just can't see a way they would cooperate with eachother unless is a really good plan (and when that miracle happens they can destroy everyone). Lindsay would try to make Heather and Gwen stay united and be friends, but she would totally fail.
