Requested Pouches, part two. I have never shown these two, since they were promised before they were done. The first one was the prototype of a design that features heavily in the next batch, its inspired by art nouveau interpreations of grasses. The second one is a rare example of a custom pouch, made for a dear friend of mine. It features her Larp group's crest, which they based on the crests drawn by Tolkien. The last gleam of fading summer. I made the chiton dress from the leftovers of another project. Who remembers the blue fabric I tried to bleach this summer? Well, this is the result and I love the new colour so much! Due to me using different brands of bleach it did not came out even, resulting in a subtle but lovely gradient. while usually all my jewelry ist silver, I found the gold stampings to be a lovely accent on the soft rose colour. I am still doing the hems, which takes time because being me I do them by hand, but I took the opportunity to take some pictures with the belt (that will soon go to the etsy shop) while it still has warmer days. This photo has two pieces that I inherited from familiy members: my Grandmother's Amber necklace that I wear in my hair and the gothic harp from my great aunt and harp teacher. I miss both these grand old ladies a lot, and I am glad to have these little mememtos in my life. The cursed face. Thanoreth's helmet-like mask is made from Thibra, aluminium foil and scraps of Worbla. The teeth are long mother-of-pearl beads that I thrifted years ago. I made the costume when I had to commute to work by train for two hours daily. All the beads and silk cords were hand-sewn to the costume during those train rides. For this shoot, I did a little VFX Makeup experiment, which you barely see beneath the mask, but it makes the bits of the face that stick out less human. Thanoreth, forever bound to the deep. We took a lot of photos in the water, and this one is amongst my favouritees. I love the movement, the flowing fabric and the sense of depth. @ornienna was standing almost above me on a pier while I dove, and he captures the forward movement so well! And no, I can't swim in the armour. The cane Thanoreth uses became really usefull in pushing myself forward in the stomach-deep water. When I made the costume for the elven form of Thilia, the tree that watches over Caras Neldorath, I never thought I would end up wearing it one day. It does not fit me very well, but we managed, somehow, to balance that crown upon my small head.
