I think I’ll always be difficult to love

Day whatever: No speaking to each other didn’t work. But now it’s back to the same damn thing. She says sweet things to draw me in and I try to fight it. Erggg.

Day two and three mashed together.

I know it’s only day 2-3, but whoever said it gets better with time was sorely mistaken. At least at this stage. The last two days have been just as bad as the first. The only difference is I went to work which kept my mind busy, but it didn’t stop me from thinking about her. It didn’t help me from wanting to text her just to say hi and check in. We were never really friends before getting together. We were never really just friends when we weren’t together either. The friendship started out with flirting and just grew into a relationship. Am I even making sense? People say writing your thoughts down is supposed to be therapeutic. I’m not quite convinced but I’ll give it a chance.

Dear Blog,

Yesterday was day one of having no contact at all with my ex/best friend/soulmate. Even though I was the one to break it off, it hurts me just as much as it’s got to be hurting her.

I didn’t sleep the night before. At all. I cried a lot, but I couldn’t even cry myself to sleep. I called into work yesterday because what choice did I have? I feel horrible for doing that but peoples lives are sometimes literally in my hands and I need to be at my best. I have to keep telling myself that to feel better.

I still love this girl but in my head it was the right thing to do. Or was it? There’s no turning back now. It’s for the best. I know that. Deep down I think she knows it too.

I think my dog is laughing at me. He just snorted and sneezed in my face. Gross.
