Nightmare Before Christmas storyboards

Last two reblogs inspired something within me.

I love finding new TNBC storyboards and stuff. I ate drank and breathed every portion of this film so it’s fascinating to find new stuff about it’s production I couldn’t find previously. Also the storyboards of the characters are absolutely adorable and are what I tend to base my style off of.

So,

when I said "this blog's not dead," it was mostly with the knowledge that Fanexus was supposedly releasing within the next couple of weeks and that I'm already signed up for the pre-release beta forum. My intention was then to go "hey, I'm moving over to this vastly superior platform that actually takes harassment claims seriously" and have that be T&T's new home.

Obviously that hasn't happened yet, and now I just feel embarrassed. I seriously have asks that are over a year old that I'm kind of too ashamed to touch because I was very unprepared for how drastically the atmosphere of this website would shift in the last ~2 years and how it would affect me in particular. The very first post was made when I was still in college if that shows just how unprepared I was for life lol.

@one-powerfull-egyptian-godess It’s the collector’s edition TNBC Operation game. It came out for the 25th anniversary, was out of stock for a while, and got a second wind for the holiday season I assume.

The game is... something else, I’ll tell you that. After struggling like a child with the batteries, deadass the first sound it made was “HELLO, BONE DADDY” so uhhhhhhhhhh yeah, fair warning don’t play this game with people who will kinkshame you lmao.

Up until embarrassinly recently (within the last 4 years) I had only ever seen TNBC on VHS, so I used to think that the characters looked a lot different— Oogie and Sally’s hair was brown, Jack’s santa suit was orange, and Sally’s skin was grey. The day I learned she was blue blew my mind.

(Signal boost! Excited for the book!)

((OOC: Told you I’d be back! ;)

Your regularly scheduled Nightmare Before Christmas will be here shortly…preferably around Thanksgiving.

As I’ve talked about a few times now, I have a book being released this October. It has exhausted all my Halloweeny resources I’m afraid, so the TNBC story I do have planned for this year, will have to wait a bit before I can get the ball rolling again.

I have not lost my Burtony flare, however, and have decided to spend some time in the “mortal” world of TNBC to give you all a special narrative this Halloween (which WILL be TNBC related, just watch).

In the meantime I have other plans for the 2019 season of Halloween Town…from another redraft/grammar check on the two short stories I’ve written here to more ambitious pursuits…you’ll see soon ;)
