what i noticed so far throughout this season is that every episode is some sort of copy from an earlier one (not all, but enough for me to notice)
for example, S7E6 is a direct reference with S1E5 (as it is mentioned in season 7)
or, S7E3, where its a direct throwback to S2E3.
I think what the writers are trying to do is to show us that maybe Rick has come full circle, and with Rick Prime gone, he can go back to the classic adventures of the earlier seasons, while also focusing on becoming a better person and seeking therapy.
(ps; if some of you come from tiktok you already know the deal, but i just wanted to put this out here that ever since that date from a few weeks ago went great and i am now dating the guy :3 which brings me to my next point, that i might not be as active as i used to, but i will still try my best to keep up with the fandom. I have met many amazing people and bonded over this show and i wouldn't trade it for the world. However, the reason i got into RaM back in May was to distract myself and get over this one guy, and, now that i'm happily dating someone else, i no longer need the distraction. But again! i met many awesome people and i still love analyzing episodes and characters, which i will continued to do, only more moderately from here on out! thanks guys, love u! <3)

I hate when people boil down Rick's character to Pickle Rick, or just this badass guy whos godly when the whole point of this it's THAT ITS A FACADE!!! The whole point of his character is how deceiving a person can be as soon as you start to REALLY know them.
Throughout the 7 season we have seen Rick go from a badass scientist with a god complex, to a deeply flawed individual who just misses his family and longs for some sort of closeness but unable to connect to anyone anymore due to his dysfunction.
I find it ironic that there are still so many people that associate Rick with the early seasons, when that's not who he is anymore.
He's changed, people!! Get that through your head!!

Seeing C-137 brutally beat Prime to a pulp brought something in me.
We all know this man is basically 60% metal and could've used any gadget, but he didn't. He used his fists to beat to death the man that ruined his life. This is the most human Rick has ever been in this entire show. Just, raw emotion with every blow. Engulfed by grief, pain, fear, he avenges his wife once and for all. And what does he get in return? Nothing. Everything's the same, Diane is still dead, and he's still the same unfeeling ghost he was just moments ago. So what was this for? Why isn't he satisfied, why aren't WE satisfied? What now?

!!!S7E5 R&M SPOILERS!!!
SO. LET'S TALK.
This episode. is by far the best one in the ENTIRE show, throughout ALL 7 seasons.
Where do i even begin? Jeez, Evil Morty made an appearance (which i didn't expect to happen so early on) AND PRIME??? I honestly refuse to believe he died, there's no way.
The whole time i was watching my heart was pounding and my jaw was on the FLOOR. I can't stop watching THAT ONE SCENE W RICK AND PRIME RASLJFDLKSDJKJERH.
(also the evil summer foreshadowing was craaaazy)
It broke my heart, it tore me to pieces. I loved it 11/10 plz watch it

I just LOVE pissing off the reddit dudebros that are sobbing for Roiland's return and complaining that Rick isn't "the same" anymore.
I genuinely don't understand how someone can be this dense. So, first of all, i don't understand how these people don't understand how character development works. Of course Rick isn't gonna be the same. I think what they miss is that Rick no longer is portrayed as the "unstoppable god" he used to be portrayed as in the early seasons, and that now he's actually showing emotions in a more rational way.
From what i hear, before Roiland got kicked off the show, he wasn't even writing since season 3 i think, he was merely there to do the voices.
I have also heard that Rick was a very close depiction of Justin, which is.. worrying, to say the least. Another reason why Rick has changed ever since Roiland stopped writing on the show.
Of course, Rick has come a long way from season 1, which some much needed character development. It feels like a fresh gasp of air to see him be more mindful and reasonable with the people around him, and ACTUSLLY see him change.
So, to any dudebros reading this, Justin is a terrible person and isn't coming back and Rick, in fact, changed, go cry about it!!! But fr, if you don't like what happened to the show just stop watching it, stop complaining, no one is forcing you to watch it!
(I hate dudebros sm i go in the comment section of every new R&M post on instagram and start arguing w anyone that starts complaining abt the new voices, or Roiland and whatever I LOVE IT)
(I'm also gonna make a small disclaimer that i have only been in the R&M fandom for somewhere around 5 months, so i don't know much about the Justin Roiland situation, so take everything i say about it with a grain of salt, and correct me if i make any mistakes!)

he's such a considerate person deep down and he cares so so much about the people he loves, and his family really enjoys taking advantage of that, especially rick- morty deserves so much better than he's given. a lot of people push that poor boy off to his side and it's really upsetting to see

I don't usually use tumblr all that much, but for the last few days i've been going deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole that is analyzing S7E3 of Rick and Morty, so yo girl's here to talk about it (mostly about Rick and Unity).
In S7E3 of Rick and Morty 'Air Force Wong' Unity assimilates the entire state of Virginia with the argument that it is worried for Rick's well being.
however, what pissed me off is when Dr.Wong sided with Unity: "Alright, I'm gonna commit a cardinal sin in couple's therapy here, but Rick, i think you're wrong." I do not understand this in the slightest. Sure, Rick ghosted Unity, but in his defense, he was dumped which took a toll on him, leading up to him attempting suicide, so of course he wouldn't want it around him, and that's understandable.
Unity broke a boundary, invaded Rick's home planet, home country with the only excuse that it was worried for him. Rick had every right to stop talking to it, however Dr.Wong did NOT have the whole story and she shouldn't have butted in. This we could partially blame Rick, because he did not fill Dr.Wong in fully before having that conversation, which HE requested for her to be a part of in the first place.
"You controlling things is the explanation, and we agreed you wouldn't do it where i work." This is yet another solid proof on how Unity broke Rick's boundaries, this probably being something they agreed on in the past. In some situations, boundaries CAN be broken if it's an intervention or emergency, this, in my humble opinion, WAS NOT an emergency.
"You had an outer space lady who was worried for your life and your response was hostile enough to cause a huge problem." I hate everything about this. This is borderline hypocritical, considering that Unity did something just as drastic if not MORE drastic, yet Rick is the one taking all the flame for it, for not wanting it around him. So, basically, he was being flamed for putting up a boundary (not in a very appropriate way, but it's a big deal for him to do it in the first place). Unity is at fault for making Rick react the way he did, which in my opinion, wasn't as drastic as Dr.Wong makes it out to be. His hostile reaction was understandable, to the drastic measure Unity has enforced. It did not need to go through all that trouble just to try to contact Rick, when clearly he did not want want it to.
Another thing i noticed is when Unity finished releasing everyone, how the tables have turned from:
u:"Do you not trust me, Rick?" r:"I don't trust you."
to..
r:"I trust you now." u:"That's nice, but i don't trust you."
This is honestly something i only noticed as i was writing this, and it hits HARD. As much as Unity is biased for not trusting Rick, so was he when he didn't trust it. They both have very valid points as to why not to trust one another.
So, to conclude this very first, EXTREMELY MESSY post, Unity should've dialed it back a couple of notches, Rick should've been more open about his part with it, and Wong should've stayed in her place. Both Rick and Unity have a lot of things to unpack, and until either of them are willing to sit down and talk, they'll never be able to work it out.
