it's weird that ppl use intersex conditions as proof that binary bio sex isn't real. saying "some women don't have uteruses" would be meaningless if u actually didn't believe in binary sexes because you wouldn't know who was supposed to have a uterus in the first place... if u can look at someone and go "this person is female but has no uterus" it's because you know female people usually do have uteruses. otherwise u would diagnose every male person w being intersex for missing a uterus. lmao

I told my coworker that I really wanted a baby girl, and she told me all about how raising a girl was so much harder. Because she had 3 boys and 1 girl, and her daughter wanted to be treated like her brothers. She told me all about how she forced her daughter to wear dresses, be pretty, wouldn’t let her cut her hair. She said that when the boys started to be involved in sports, that she did too. So she pushed her into dance classes. And as this went on, it was such a surreal moment. This is why we have so many unhappy, trans, nb teens on our hands. This poor girl.

Reminder that "gay" means* "attracted to the same(ish) gender" and doesn't mean that someone is exclusively attracted to that gender.

Gayness in this sense is a lot like color classification. Blue is a color, and it can be a "true blue," or it can be more cyan, or more purple. Cyan-blue is still blue, although we may just call it blue or just call it cyan. Same goes for blue-purple.

When it comes to being gay, you can be exclusively gay, or attracted to other genders to. You may call yourself bi, pan, etc. in addition to that, but that doesn't mean you aren't gay. Hell, you can be attracted to multiple genders and have all of that attraction be gay if you're nonbinary (bigender, genderfluid, etc.)

*Some people who are nonbinary may not be able to pinpoint a "same" or "similar" gender that they're attracted to but may still call themselves gay. They are perfectly allowed to do this and are also gay. Because, ultimately:

[TL;DR] "Gay" has no one meaning. The definition I gave is only one common, generalized meaning. "Gay" can mean different things to different people of varying genders & orientations. No one way of identifying as gay is the "correct" way.

It’s pretty evident that people use gender conformity to determine which bi people are “actually gay” or “actually straight.” A bi man wearing a crop top and makeup will have his attraction to women dismissed because it’s “obvious” he is gay. A bi woman who is more traditionally feminine will have her attraction to women dismissed because it is “obvious” she is straight.

Gender conforming bi people aren’t straight.

Gender nonconforming bi people aren’t gay. Even when they are really gender nonconforming.

Believe people when they say they are bi.
