Artist here, hello.

I was at first really inspired by ask-james-sunderland askheathermason askmirathedog and all of the other silent hill ask blogs going on at the time! I wanted to jump on the bandwagon, but I felt like my art wasn't good enough, and unfortunately I didn't get my nerves up until basically most of them had stopped;;

I was really pumped to make an Alessa blog because she's such a good character with so much potential that has basically been wasted by absolutely everyone. Alessa barely even gets any spoken lines in the game! But there's so much hinted at or implied that really builds a well developed character I felt I knew even if we didn't see her talk. And it really frustrates me how people looked at this really interesting character, I really never see anything like Alessa anywhere else, and they just go "nah let's make it another spooky ringu/ju-on goth chick whatever ok good job boys call it a day" WHEN SHE'S NOTHING LIKE THAT!!! and i just really wanted people to get the chance to know the Alessa I do.

And you know, Alessa didn't start out as my favorite character. I was obsessed with James and everything in his story. I even first planned on making an ask Maria blog because I'm sick of the hate she gets, but someone beat me to the punch. And you know, I'm glad I didn't do Maria and I'm really glad I got to focus on a character that really deserves much more attention than she ever gets. And now I'm super protective and attached to the girl, I've really gotta say she's not just my favorite out of Silent Hill, but she's probably my favorite character in general.
