NOVA - the revelation
Tumblr media
"Dream! Dream, slow down this instant and tell me what the fuck is going on!" Nova commanded as she and Raine struggled to keep up with Oneiros's swift pace.
"No time to talk. Lucienne is waiting."
"Lucienne is coming?" Raine asked.
"She goes where I go. Everywhere I go. At all times." He responded plain and clear.
"Oh, joy." Raine mumbled sarcastically under her breath. The last thing she needed was one of Nova's old romantic interests clouding her focus.
"Hey! Do not talk about her as if she's your slave or something." Nova was finally able to grab hold of Dream's shoulder and spin him toward herself.
"What the hell is it to you, Nova?" Raine asked, her jealousy showing itself off once more.
"Yes, what is it to you, Lucifer? Inquiring minds would like to know." Dream mischievously smirked, allowing his hands to rest together in front of his body.
"All I'm saying is that you don't treat her right." Morningstar never broke eye contact with her brother.
"And you will? Tell me, how is Mazikeen of the Blackwater?"
"That's different." Nova spoke softer this time.
"Okay, can we just go?" Raine rolled her eyes and shoved past the two Endless beings as if they were nothing.
"Raine, wait." Nova started after her, but Raine ignored her and kept toward the castle's gated exit. "Raine, please!"
"You need to figure out what the fuck you want, Morningstar." Raine twirled abruptly, showing her anger now in more ways than just one.
"What did you just call me?" Nova was taken aback.
"You came after me. You converted me! And, now, here I am... in the Land of fucking Death due to be wed to the Queen of fucking Death who still doesn't know what the fuck she wants!" Raine was livid and displaying it way out loud.
"Raine, you don't understand. Luci and I... our history is... complicated."
"Well un-fucking-complicate it before I return back to fucking Earth and make damn sure that you never see me again." Raine placed her hand on her hip and stared at Nova expectantly.
"We don't have time, my love. I'll explain everything on the way."
"You mean while Lucienne is in the driver's seat?"
"Raine, that's not fair."
"Fair?! Fuck the fuck off, Nova! What's not fair is the fact that I'm balls deep in your bullshit and I can't even get enough respect from you to tell me the fucking truth." Raine's eyes were wide and wild.
"Are you two going to bicker the entire ride?" Morpheus asked in his monotone voice as he walked past them, not making eye contact with either of the immortal beings.
"Let's just go." Nova said, offering Raine her hand. Raine looked at it, then back up into Nova's beautiful eyes and walked away.
       ______________________________________________________
Raine's breath caught in her throat as they approached the ship. She was a beauty! Made entirely of titanium, the ship's base was silver and there were purple and teal line designs toward the top. It had blacked out windows and a golden stripe along the hull.
"Whoa! This is your ship?" Raine asked as if she were a kid again.
"I call her Alora. Come in." Dream said plainly. He pushed the only button on a small remote in his hand to open the hatch. Stairs descended slowly as it opened and, when it did, a gentle AI voice greeted them immediately.
Tumblr media
"That's sick." Raine exclaimed to herself in awe as she helped herself into the vessel. The ship had open floors and had a soft blue kind of aesthetic going on about herself.
"So? What do you think?" Morpheus asked proudly.
"I feel right at home. Kind of like I'm in a—"
"A dream?" Lucienne finished Raine's sentence with a breathtaking smile as she entered into the common-space.
"Precisely." Raine nearly whispered as her eyes locked with the woman's. As they shared a gaze upon each other, Raine began to feel conflicted. She knew she should probably be cautious of this woman, but now all she wanted to do was let her in.
"We never had the opportunity to be formally introduced. Lucienne Day." The woman said as she offered her hand peacefully.
"Raine... Raine Jackson." She reluctantly introduced herself, lazily taking the melanin woman's hand into her own and giving it one firm shake.
"Yes, I've heard so much about you. Her Majesty is very lucky to have you."
"I- I don't know about that." Raine blushed at Lucienne's bold demeanor, tucking a stray braid behind her own ear.
"She's just being modest." Nova interjected as she walked into the room. As per usual, everyone stopped and turned to her as her presence was made known. Much as she wanted to stay angry at the divine being, Raine couldn't help but to melt a little inside at how adoringly Nova looked at her.
"I'm quite sure. Ahem. Well, then! Since we are all here, should we begin our journey?" Lucienne looked to Dream for the green light to go shortly before he nodded at her. "Right. Alora will show you both to your room."
As if having been rehearsed, a path was translucently lit in the flooring from where they stood down the short corridor and up to a single-paneled door.
"Just one room?" Raine looked to Lucienne.
"Oh! My apologies, I just assumed—"
"One room is perfect, thank you, Luci." Nova interrupted once again.
"Really, Nova?" Raine cocked her hip and placed her fist upon it.
"Come, now, my love. Don't be that way." She inched a tad closer to Raine and watched her resolve begin to crumble away already.
"Stop."
"Why don't we go get settled in?" She took another measured step closer.
"Okay! Damn it, Nova." Raine murmured, turning to head toward their room, followed by a very satisfied Nova.
Once the door was fully shut behind them, Nova took Raine into her arms and showered her with sweet kisses all over. Raine tried to fight it, but eventually, she gave in and cracked a smile.
"Okay, okay!" She grinned, pushing herself off of Nova gently.
"There's that smile I love." Nova leaned in for another sweet kiss, only to be left hanging by a hesitant Raine.
"Doesn't change the fact that you were a total jerk to me." Raine crossed her arms across her chest.
"I was the jerk? You're the one who called me Morningstar." She joked, trying to laugh it off.
"Come on, Nova, be for real. I'm hurt. You hurt me."
"I'm sorry, my love. Truth is... I'm nervous. I haven't seen my father in literally ages. Our relationship was never a good one, Raine Jackson."
"Oh, Nova. I hadn't thought about that." Raine hung her head, kicking herself for not taking that very important fact into consideration.
"Come here." Nova flung her arms wide and Raine gladly filled them with her own body. "How could you possibly have known? I'm sorry for being an asshole towards you. This is no excuse, but I've been pushing you away only because I'm running away from my own feelings. Even though I am Lucifer Nova Morningstar, Queen of fucking Death, I do still... feel things." She said with a slight shudder as if the thought of having human emotions absolutely disgusted her.
"I'd never take that away from you, Mistress. It is possible, though, for you to have a moment in your feelings and not treat me like shit at the same time."
"You are absolutely right, my love. I apologize, truly." Nova hardly finished her sentence before there was a knock at the door. After sharing a quizzical look with Raine, Nova went and opened the door to reveal Lucienne.
Fucking great. Raine thought to herself, rolling her eyes.
"Luci."
"Pardon my intrusion, Your Highness. I was sent to ask if either of you would like some tea?"
"My darling brother couldn't have come himself?"
"My Lord is terribly busy."
"Busy doing what?" She scoffed with a less than happy smile. "We're in the quantum realm in an airship who's on autopilot."
"I'm sure he's calculating the possible risks of meeting up with Obsidian and plotting how to respond to each of them." Lucienne was beginning to enjoy this little banter of theirs.
"His plotting is nothing without me. He needs me." Nova lifted her chin a bit.
"I don't disagree. It's difficult not to..." Luci trailed off as if she were just made aware of the words she had spoken. Nova didn't even blink and she definitely didn't dare to respond.
"We're good on the tea, thanks." Raine slipped in front of Nova and took control of the door.
"Right, then. I'll leave you to it." Luci nodded respectfully before whisking herself off. Raine shut the door and turned to face Nova.
"Now's a good time for you to un-complicate, Nova. I need to know what it is that I sense between you two."
"This... will be a very long journey."

MORE OF LESSO - Vertigo
Tumblr media
Later that evening, Aavani sat crisscrossed on her king-sized bed in her chambers, triple checking that her curriculum made enough sense for every student individually. The professor was so consumed with her work that she hardly noticed the knocking at her door until the rapping gradually grew louder, forcing her out of the reverie she had fallen into.
"Oh! Coming!" She said loudly as she stumbled to get up and scrambled to her door.
"Hello, professor." Lesso greeted calmly. Aavani was so taken aback by her surprise visit, that all she could do was stand there gaping.
"Uh..." Truth managed to spill out, subconsciously wrapping her silky red robe around herself tightly.
"Do you have a minute?" Leonora asked, shamelessly sweeping her eyes down from Aavani's eyes to her breasts and lower.
"I— yes! Please, come in." She stammered, cheeks flushed with warmth under Leonora's sexy gaze. Aavani stepped aside, allowing Lady Lesso into her bedroom chambers and closing the door behind them.
"I see you're working around the clock to ensure your students feel comfortable. That's very perfectionist of you." Leonora started, motioning toward the mess of paperwork and open tomes sprawled all over Aavani's bed.
"Truth is, I'm nervous as hell." Aavani chuckled as she pushed a stray loc behind her ear.
"I believe you're over thinking everything. You should relax. That's the only way you'll ever figure any of this stuff out." Leonora said, her tone soft and calm as she inched her way closer to Aavani.
"W-what do you suggest I do? You know... to relax?" Aavani asked through her own trapped breath in her chest.
"I have a few tips on that matter." Lesso nearly whispered, her face now hovering closely above Truth's. Staring up into her eyes in a trance, Aavani leaned into Leonora's touch. It was almost as if a magnetic force had sucked the air from in between them, driving their bodies together.
Aavani's breath came out in an irregular, ragged pattern as Lesso's pointy fingernails began stroking her arm with featherlight movement. The red headed professor skillfully used her other hand to cradle the back of Aavani's neck, bringing her face closer and closer to her own. Truth shivered as the ghost of Leonora's breath tickled her lips. She could almost taste her on her tongue, they were so close...
"Wait!" Aavani managed to break away and began to pace. "We can't... I— I can't do this. I have a job to do here and it's very important to me. I've worked my whole life to make it here and I just— I can't get distracted!"
"Truth." Lady Lesso said her name patiently even as Aavani continued on her downward spiral.
"I'm sorry, Leonora, you have to go." She shook her head, putting even more miserable distance between them.
"Professor Truth." Leonora repeated a bit louder and more firm than before.
"I- I'm sorry if I led you on." Aavani could hardly look Leonora in the eyes, though she yearned to deep down inside.
"Aavani. Calm yourself." Lesso made haste of closing the distance again, this time wrapping a soothing hand around the softness of Aavani's wrist.
"I'm sorry..."
"Quit... apologizing." Leonora commanded through gritted teeth just as she used the same soothing hand to lift Aavani's chin that their eyes could finally meet again. Professor Truth gasped, feeling flustered, embarrassed, and aroused. She was suddenly aware of the very sinful hour and of just how close Lesso was standing in proximity to her own weakening body.
"Leonora." A breathless Aavani whispered. Lesso's name rolling off of her lips was enough to send their mouths crashing together. Aavani let out a soft whimper as Lesso began to feel all over her body, bringing her closer. It was in this moment that Truth realized just how badly she needed to be touched.
"That is not my name. What is my name?" Lesso growled between nips of Aavani's chest.
"I-"
"Call out my name." The more dominant professor commanded even more firm than before.
"M-mistress?"
"Tsk tsk. You've gotta do better than that." Lesso whispered into her neck just before biting the skin of it.
"Ah! Mistress!" Truth cried out from pain and pleasure.
"That's it. Say it again for me." Lesso shut her eyes as their foreheads met and she traced a ticking finger down to Aavani's panty line.
"Leonora..." Aavani's eyes rolled back, chills flying down her spine.
"No, no. Let me hear it again."
"Leonora, we can't." Aavani was able to break out of the trance that Lesso had her in by some odd miracle.
"That's a shame. If you change your mind, you know where my room is." Leonora dropped the softest of kisses to Aavani's forehead. Before she knew it, Professor Truth was all alone again, stuck in a hazy place from which it seemed impossible to return. Once Aavani mustered up enough strength back in her legs, she cleared off her bed and climbed in. She turned every which way trying to get comfortable and fall asleep but she just couldn't.
The professor just could not get her mind off of Leonora. Every time she closed her eyes, Lesso was right there with her again suckling on her neck. Aavani's breath began to pick up and she bit her lip as her hand slid slowly down her own body under the covers, seemingly with a mind of its own. Truth gasped as her hand reached its destination, surprised at the feeling of her own wet warmth. She allowed her eyes to flutter shut once more, and this time, she kept them shut and let her imagination run wild. Suddenly, Leonora was right there with her, kissing her chest and licking on her tight nipples. Aavani used her thumb on one hand to rub circles against her clitoris while her fingers on the other hand pinched her hard teats with as much force as they possibly could.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Is this ok?" Lesso whispered into Aavani's ear as her hands continued working the two most sensitive parts of her body.
"Yes!" Aavani responded louder than she intended to, sucking in a sharp breath at the pressure of Leonora's fingers entering her body. "Don't stop."
"Nobody said anything about stopping." Lesso grinned with her hot mouth against Truth's damp brown skin. Aavani's heavy breathing was enough to send Leonora's fingers deeper inside, using only her thumb as a stopper against her slick bud. Aavani's back arched off of the bed and into the chest of her undoer, anchoring her nails into Lesso's back as she approached her ruin.
"Mistress, I'm close." Truth moaned with the fervor of Aphrodite herself, unable to pump the brakes on her rapid arrival to glory.
"Don't you dare." Lesso growled, moving her hand faster against her unrelentingly.
"Mistress, please!" Aavani screamed aloud.
"I said wait." Leonora commanded once more, now using her thumb stopper as a massaging device on the writhing professor's throbbing floret.
"I can't wait any longer." Aavani moaned, feeling as though she may completely burst into pieces. Her hips began to rock in opposition to Lady Lesso's hand, her body desperately shaking and searching for release.
"That's it, my swan. Let go." Leonora whispered with a smile as she was impressed by how well her little pet was able to hold back. With no words and just sound, Aavani arched her back even more and curled her toes and threw back her head as she finally got her relief.
"Leonora!" Aavani screamed out loud before quickly covering her mouth with her wet hands. She got so caught up in her fantasy world that she'd carried it over into reality. The professor glanced over at her alarm clock on her nightstand which read forty-seven after midnight once it finally came into focus. She took a moment to steady her breath before allowing herself to drift off to sleep with that damned red head never leaving her mind.
The next morning, tired and exhausted, Aavani trudged her way into the kitchen where a fresh pot of coffee was steaming and ready for her.
"Oh, thank god." Aavani mumbled, helping herself to a mug. As she took a sip and sighed, a voice came from behind her, informing her that she was not as alone as she thought she was in the room.
"Long night?" Lesso asked with a knowing smile.
"Leonora! I'm sorry, I didn't see you there."
"Don't tell me you stayed up studying some more. I told you that will do you no good."
"No, I— I just couldn't really sleep that well."
"Oh, Aavani. Perhaps you haven't realized that my closet shares a wall with your bedroom chambers. It's funny because, when I was picking out my suit for today, I just so happened to hear you singing my name. What a sweet, sweet sound it was."
"I— I can explain..."
"No need. Just allow me next time."
"Good morning! Such a lovely day this is today, don't you think?" Anemone interrupted as she practically glided into the room. Lesso raised an eyebrow at Professor Emma's out of character expression. The interruption also gave Professor Truth an out, allowing her to take a breath of relief.
"What has you all cheery this morning? You're usually so... drab."
"The director of Beauty is never drab."
"Great morning, everyone! Is that dark roast I smell?" Henry exclaimed with a huge smile spread across his face as he also entered the kitchen with a bounce in his step. Leonora and Aavani shared a knowing look with each other before bursting out into laughter.
"You two could not have made it any more obvious." Lesso said through a mischievous grin.
"Made what obvious?" Anemone asked, trying her hardest to sound offended.
"You two definitely fucked last night, didn't you?" Leonora leaned forward to place her elbows on the tabletop, resting her chin on top of her intertwined fingers.
"What? No!"
"That's not—"
"...absolutely outrageous!"
Professors Anemone and Davies' overlapping, combined protesting was enough to give the red head exactly the answer she needed. She and Aavani laughed again together knowing the truth.
"It's ok, Emma. Everyone already saw this coming anyway."
"Saw what coming?" Frankie asked as she waltzed in.
"Apparently, Professor Emma and Professor Henry are seeing each other again." Aavani smiled.
"Oh, what a surprise." Yu exclaimed in the fakest surprised tone possible.
"Okay, this is hardly appropriate! Spreading rumors could lead to horrible consequences." The Malaysian woman exclaimed through all of her guilt.
"Save it, Emma. It isn't a rumor if it's true." Frankie chimed in between sips of her creamed coffee.
"That's right, beauty teacher." Lesso scoffed with a small chuckle.
"Yeah? And what about you, Leonora? Any old flames you would like to fan?" Anemone sat up straighter.
"Can it, Anemone. I'm warning you." Aavani watched closely as Leonora's expression changed from playful to serious in the blink of an eye.
"Why? Too afraid that your new friend will learn about you and Clarissa's past?" Professor Anemone asked, subtly nodding toward Truth.
"Whoa, wait... you and Professor Dovey were an item?" Aavani blinked a few times at Leonora as realization. began to set in.
"It was far too long ago. Best to leave these things in the past." Lesso leaned back into her chair, crossing her arms across her chest stoically.
"That... actually makes a lot of sense." Aavani admitted, still trying to process the news she just received.
"Does it?" Anemone asked, leaning forward with intrigue.
"Dovey has been particularly nasty toward me. This is probably why." Truth shook her head.
"So you admit it?" Emma asked in a very a-ha type of way.
"Admit what?" Aavani began to sweat.
"You and Leonora have a thing?" The professor of beauty asked, pointing back and forth between Lesso and Truth.
"N-no! That's not what I meant! I—"
"You don't have to explain yourself to anyone, Vani. Come, let's go." Frankie said shortly before grabbing her friend's arm and pulling her out of the room with her. Once they were in the clear, Aavani whipped around on Frankie and gave her an appreciative hug.
"Thank you for that save, Frankie. I was about to lose my nerve in there."
"No problem. Anemone and Dovey are pretty close, so watch out for those two. Things around here are not always as they seem."
"I'm definitely starting to realize that." Truth mumbled low enough to where she thought no one else could hear. Unbeknownst to the fact that Frankie could hear a pin drop from miles away, compliments to her training.
"Why? Did anyone say anything to you?" Frankie asked seeming very interested.
"Um, no, not really." Truth mumbled with a small shrug of her shoulders.
"Aavani." Frankie called her name firmly.
"Fine. I may have shared a few words with Dovey, but it's nothing."
"Professor Truth, it is my duty as assistant headmaster to nip any conflicts between my colleagues in the bud. We all have to live together and we all have to work together for the betterment of our students. Any trouble at all, no matter how small it seems, is detrimental to our children's futures." Yu sounded more serious than Truth has ever heard from her thus far. She really did not want to stir the pot, as she just arrived there and did not want any trouble. Biting her lip in anxiety, Aavani had to come up with something and she had to do it quick.
"She was just— honest. Can't be mad at that, can we?" Aavani chuckled nervously. Frankie squinted her eyes at her for a long while before finally sighing and giving up.
"Alright. Have it your way. Just know I cannot protect you if anything happens between you two. I gave you a chance to tell me what's going on."
"Mmm, I don't think I like strict Frankie." Truth laughed, nudging her friend playfully.
"Yeah, well I don't like being strict Frankie, so please don't make me." She nudged back as they continued on down the corridor.
"Trust me, I have it handled. I'm here for one reason and one reason only. Nothing can distract me." Truth lied, her mind on Leonora the entire time. The way she touched her, the way she kissed and sucked on her neck... Aavani shivered as bumps of longing raised all over her skin.
"Really? Nothing at all?" Frankie looked to her friend pointedly and knowingly.
"Wh-what? What's that look for?" Aavani chuckled nervously.
"Come on, Truth. I've been around for a while and I've seen a lot of things. You can bet your ass I know how to spot a spark."
"Ok, Frankie, what are you talking about?" She tried her best to sound not guilty. Frankie, however unbeknownst to Aavani, had a bullshit radar that has always been seemingly impenetrable.
"You know what I'm talking about. You and Leonora. Don't even try to deny it."
“I-I’m sure I don’t—"
“That’s ok, my friend.” Frankie cut her off with a friendly wave of her hand. “You don’t have to tell me now, but eventually, you will.”
At this, Aavani did nothing but shake her head with a small scoff and smiled. Deep down, however, she was terrified.
Not only that others will find out the truth about how she feels, but also because she will eventually have to face it herself
NOVA - revenant
Tumblr media
"Hey, Nova?" Raine broke the silence between them as they readied themselves for travel— and possible tragedy.
"My love?" Nova looked up at Raine with a slight smile and a glint in her eyes.
"I-if you don't mind my asking... why did you and your siblings react that way when Dream revealed your father was alive?" Raine bit her lip, knowing not what type of minefield she was likely walking into and bracing herself for the possibility of being blown to smithereens.
"It had been so long," Nova replied calmly with a shrug, "we all just assumed he had passed."
"Would it be better if he had?" Raine sighed softly with relief.
"My father wasn't the best father... in fact, he was a shitty father and an even worse husband to my mother,—"
"Olenara." Raine cut her off, finishing her sentence.
"Excuse me?" Nova asked with a risen eyebrow.
"Forgive me for snooping, but I found an old necklace engraved with that name in your chest of drawers. I assumed she was your mother, but I could be mistaken."
"No, no. You are correct. Olenara is my mother— was my mother." Nova reluctantly corrected herself, lowering her eyes to the floor.
"And your father? Has he always been immortal?"
"Oh, no. We were so shocked because he wasn't immortal when we left him in the past. My siblings and I, we haven't always been Endless, however we've always had anomalous capabilities. In fact, in our home galaxy, it's more unusual for one to not possess such capabilities than those who do." Nova kept her lips pursed at the end of her sentence.
"So, in laments terms, you were all born with superhuman powers." Raine said.
"Precisely."
"So, tell me, how did you all become Endless?" Raine's eyes couldn't help but wander to the plump of Nova's lips.
"You sure have a plethora of questions today, don't you, my love?" Nova chuckled while she gestured for Raine to sit with her on the edge of the bed.
"I just wanna understand you, Mistress." She sat strategically close, careful to radiate heat without having to perform the touch of it.
"I appreciate that, my love. We believe that we were chosen. Once Dream reached age forty and two, we all received an anonymous letter to meet up in the same place at the same time. At this point, none of us were really on speaking terms with each other.
We all had sort of went our own way to live our own lives. So, you can imagine our surprise when we saw each other again at the same time, at the same place all following the same anonymous letter addressed to each of us by name."
"That must have been strange."
"Oh, but that's not the end of it. Once Destruction arrived, fashionably late as it happens, we all entered into a conversation. Of course, we were all confused about what the hell we were all doing there and who could have sent for us.
Suddenly, the whole place went on lockdown. It was an old cathedral. Metal grates and barricades fell to block every door and window in that place. I was sure that whomever sent for us knew that we weren't ordinary people and, furthermore, we will not be going down without a fight." Nova glanced over at Raine's huge, brown eyes, filled with intense interest.
"Oh, don't stop there." Raine egged her on.
"Such beautiful words from such beautiful lips," Nova gently touched Raine's bottom lip with her thumb before curtly pulling away, "Well, anyway, of course we were all on edge because we didn't know what the fuck was happening. The room filled with smoke quickly and Dream instructed for us all to hold our breath... but we were only human, we couldn't hold our breath forever."
"So, you all ended up breathing in... whatever that was."
"It took us out for a few. I was the only one left when I came to. We later learned that it was Hysotherna gas which is a chemical that alters the DNA completely. It could be used as a gas, a liquid, and a solid."
"Like Dream's sand."
"Precisely, my little lamb. It took him decades to figure out how to incorporate Hysotherna into his sand, but he did it and it has been changing lives ever since. Literally."
"Exhibit A." Raine swept her hands away from each other in a presenting manner, bowing her head with a playful smile on her lips.
"Indeed." Nova returned her smile.
"When did you guys realize you were immortal? I know it doesn't feel any different."
"I can not speak for my siblings, but after that day I noticed little changes in my mind. It was almost as if I could peek into the future... almost as if it had been expanded."
"I'm not tracking... like, you started having visions?"
"No, no. It's more complex than that. I started seeing when and how beings around me would perish. It started with animals. There was a doe— beautiful beast— I couldn't save her... after that, they just kept coming and coming. Eventually I realized I would have to accept that that was who I had become. I thought it was a part of my born abilities that had bloomed late.
Until one night, I'd had enough. I couldn't take it anymore... so I tried to hang myself. I hanged and I hanged and that's when it hit me. I couldn't die. I felt as though the gods were punishing me for...whatever reason. About a decade later, I received a comm from Desire. They found out they couldn't die either." Lucifer gave a heavy sigh.
"And so here you are."
"Here I am, my love." Nova painted a gentle stroke down Raine's cheek with the back of her hand.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Raine asked in a slow, quiet tone. She looked at Nova through hooded eyes and Nova smirked in response.
"Do tell me... what are you thinking?" She leaned in close enough to feel Raine's breath trembling on her own lips. She reached out and touched her softly on the thigh— a touch so soft that it almost burned through Raine's skin.
"Who knows what the future holds? May as well make the best of our most sacred moments." Raine leaned in closer, her mouth brushing the sweet lips of the delectable being in front of her.
"Oh, my dear. My sweet, sweet dear. Do you know what you do to me?" Nova allowed her eyes to roll shut, whispering against Raine's lips, caressing her thighs.
"I do not. Why don't you show me?" Raine asked before delving her tongue into Nova's mouth. The Endless responded with a growl and a thirst to deepen the kiss. Nova wrapped her arms around Raine, pulling her closer as Raine entangled herself around Nova's neck.
Tumblr media
"How much time do we have?" Raine managed to gasp in between sweet kisses from Nova's lips.
"Worry yourself not of the time, my love. Worry yourself only of the moment." At this, Nova stood at the edge of the bed and pulled Raine by her ankles that her core could be close to her hips. Raine gasped with pleasure as her back hit the cloud comforter and at Lucifer's sudden show of dominance.
"Yes, Mistress." Raine's chest heaved up and down with anticipation as Nova leaned over her slowly. She allowed her eyes to roll to the back of her head as the divine being's hot mouth came in contact with the skin on her neck. She breathed out a shaky breath, feeling Nova's hands lightly creep up her inner thighs.
"Tell me what you want, little bird." Nova whispered into Raine's neck as she kissed up to her chin.
"What a silly thing to say. You know I want you." Raine replied defiantly. She knew what Nova meant... she just wanted to be punished.
"I want to hear you say it" Nova pressed two of her fingers against the thin fabric rudely covering Raine's garden, her voice firm and authoritative.
"Nova!" Raine cried out, " I want—"
"Master!" Maz burst into the room.
"What the fuck, Mazikeen?" Nova's heat turned from lustfully sensual to an annoyed anger like a switch.
"Perfect timing as always, Maz." Raine rolled her eyes with a frustrated sigh as Nova removed the warmth of herself from Raine's body.
"I'm sorry for the intrusion, Master Mother. I was sent by Dream." Maz didn't dare to remove her eyes from the ground in front of her.
"Is Dream your master or am I? If you'd like, I could send you to serve him in the Land of Dreams. Would you like that, Mazikeen?" Nova cocked her head to the side, hands clasped together in front of her.
"I very much would like to stay here with you in the Land of Death, Master." Maz pleaded, her gaze still fixed upon the floor.
"I bet you would." Raine mumbled.
"What does Dream want?" Lucifer's voice boomed, eyes glowing all shades of fire.
"He- he received another comm from your fa— from Obsidian. He says you all must leave... now."
MORE OF LESSO - silver moons
Tumblr media
4 days until the students arrive
Aavani sat in the lounge with Frankie as they sipped coffee and went over lesson plans together. She's grown quite fond of Professor Yu in her short time at the school. Even though they're polar opposites, they get along better than most people that Aavani has ever known. It was only further confirmation that she is exactly where she needs to be.
"Every child has a different style of learning, so I usually create one platform for one subject and I implement different ways that each of them can choose to complete it. For example, when I used to teach incantation, I set up a station for your visual learners, your hands-on learners, your auditory learners, and your textual learners. I then allowed each student to choose where they'd prefer to work. I have a one hundred percent graduation rate because of this." Yu boasted with an unmistakable glow.
"Wow, Frankie. That is amazing and inspiring! Teach me your ways." Aavani said as they shared a laugh together.
"That's what I'm here for, my friend."
"Could you explain the frasuĂš process again?" Aavani asked, reaching for her documents. Just then, Professor Snow waltzed in with Lesso on her heels.
"For the last time, Leonora, no. I know you aren't used to people saying that word to you, but I am not people." Cameron smirked, fixing herself a cup of coffee.
"You're being frustratingly unreasonable, little sister." Lady Lesso said, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms across her chest.
"Yeah, well, now you know how I've felt my entire life."
"You don't need that much space!"
"Leonora, you cannot have my classroom. End of story. Now, go fuck with someone else, please." Cameron snapped before storming out of the lounge.
"Are you still trying to get your sister to switch classrooms with you?" Frankie laughed, nudging Aavani subtly.
"I don't understand why she gets the bigger one. Her class volume is always smaller than mine." Lesso rolled her eyes, plopping down at the table with Aavani and Frankie.
"Poor you." Yu poked her bottom lip out insincerely.
"Anyways, what are you two up to?" Leonora asked, catching eye contact with Aavani.
"W-we... uh... we were just going over the... the um..." Truth stuttered nervously, earning a good 'what the fuck' look from Frankie.
"The frasuĂš process?" Frankie said, cocking her eyebrow at Aavani. "Did you have a stroke there?"
"I, um..."
"I think I may have something to do with Professor Truth's twisted tongue. Isn't that right, Aavani?"
"I—"
"It almost seems like you've been avoiding me. Have you been avoiding me?" Leonora asked as she leaned in closer to a cold sweating Aavani.
"I'm just gonna— let you two work whatever this is out." Frankie said as she awkwardly got up and left the room.
"Lady Lesso— I'm sorry if I've been distant, but I worked my ass off my entire life to make it here and I can't let anything distract me from following through to the end. Not even something as frustratingly irresistible and resplendent as you." Aavani started, looking every which way but into Leonora's intense eyes.
"We have to work together, Professor Truth. No matter what happened in my closet two days ago, you can't avoid me forever."
"Surely, you don't believe that I intend to. It's just— right now, I must focus on the task at hand." Aavani explained, causing Lesso to laugh.
"Oh, listen to you. You're so adorable." She leaned in even closer and dropped her voice to a sultry whisper. "I find what you're playing at to be very attractive. I almost want to spread your legs and eat you right here on this table." Lesso said lowly with a dark tinge behind her eyes.
"Leonora, I—"
"Gooood morning party people!" Professor Davies exclaimed as he bounced into the room with Anemone at his side. Aavani tried to compose herself as she squirmed under Leonora's smoldering, lingering gaze.
"Forgive his excitement. He's a morning person, unfortunately. One of the many reasons we did not work out." Professor Anemone half-joked as she grabbed the cup of coffee that Henry poured for her.
"Oof. You're breaking my heart, baby." He said as he clenched his chest.
"What is it that has you two up so early?" Professor Anemone asked, ignoring Davies and sitting at the table adjacent to Aavani and Leonora.
"We were just going over lesson plans. Aavani here was just explaining how wet she is..." Leonora paused and let her words linger a bit before she finished her sentence, "behind the ears. So, I was just helping her out. Friend to friend."
"Friend? Ha! Lady Lesso has no friends." Henry laughed, earning a smack on the arm from his ex-wife.
"Aavani's my friend, aren't you Aavani?" Lesso asked, unrelentingly staring her in the eye. Professor Truth visibly gulped as she watched Leonora's tongue dart out of her mouth to lick her lips. It was almost as if it were happening in slow motion.
"Sure, I am." Truth chuckled nervously.
"Wow," Davies blinked, "she sure has you in a chokehold, doesn't she?" Henry laughed.
"Do you always have to say the first thing that pops into your tiny little mind?" Anemone asked, turning to him.
"I love it when you talk dirty to me." Professor Davies said, making a hopeful move in for a kiss. Anemone caught his face with her hand before he got too close.
"Aiyah! You are unbelievable." She exclaimed before getting up to leave.
"Wait, Ane, I'm sorry." Henry said quickly rushing out behind her.
"What's the story there? It seems like Henry is still madly in love with her." Aavani asked inquisitively.
"Anemone is kind of a hard ass. It is difficult to get on her good side— so to speak, and it's even harder to stay on it. She's only been married once and that was to Davies. They only divorced because he couldn't keep up." Lenora explained.
"That's tough." Aavani replied with a sympathetic cringe.
"He's been trying his damndest to get back into her graces, but she's just too elevated for him— or anyone else for that matter."
"Well, that's not intimidating at all." Aavani shifted uncomfortably in her seat as Leonora laughed.
"She's not really that bad in relationships outside of romance."
"What about you?" Aavani asked with an inquisitive tilt to her head.
"What about me?" Lesso's face went the straightest Aavani has ever seen it.
"You ever been in love?"
"Well, it's truly been a pleasure chatting with you, Professor Truth. Children are coming and there is much to prepare." Lesso avoided the question like a plague, making quick work of standing up and hurrying out of the lounge before Aavani could utter another word.
"That went well." She mumbled to herself as she gathered up her papers. Confident enough to make it without getting completely lost, thanks in large part to Professor Yu, Aavani made her way to her chambers where she would continue to prepare her conjuration curriculum.
As she were walking down the corridor, Professor Dovey was coming up from the opposite direction. Aavani felt both excited and nervous at the same time as Dovey was sort of like a celebrity in the world of magic. Aavani somehow found some courage to muster up in order toapproach her.
"Professor Dovey! Hi. We haven't had the opportunity to be formally introduced. Professor Aavani Truth." Aavani smiled warmly, extending her hand for a friendly shake. To Professor Truth's disappointment, Dovey rolled her eyes and ignored Aavani's invitation.
"Is this going to take long? I have things to do, and surely, you do too." Professor Dovey sighed deeply, turning her nose up at her new colleague.
"Uh, okay? I just thought we should get to know each other since we'll be working together." Aavani chuckled without mirth.
"Ha! You really think we'll be working together? I am good and you are evil. I will not be working anywhere near the dislikes of you. Good day, Professor." Dovey scoffed through an ingenuous smile before sauntering off.
So much for being good. Aavani thought to herself with a disdainful snort. She knew she had her work cut out for her, she just wasn't sure how ready she was to handle it. Either way, the professor was knees deep into her oath and there was no looking back now.
NOVA - dancing devils
Tumblr media
"Alright, deal." an impatient Dream roared in response to his little sister's proposition. He snapped his fingers and Despair's soldiers released Raine shortly before she scurried to Nova's side. "Now, enough of this nonsense. Shall we?"
"How long do we have to prepare?" Nova asked, grabbing hold of and squeezing Raine's hand for comfort.
"We leave in ten and two Earth hours and not a second later." Dream said firmly.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a gods damned minute. Why is she going with you and not one of us?"
"Obviously because she's the most capable of us all, you twat." Desire rolled his eyes.
"One more word from you and I'll—"
"You'll what? Cry? You're weak, Despair. In fact, you're the weakest of the Endless. I fight with fuck and I'm still stronger than you."
"Desire, don't." Destiny chimed in.
"You know I'm telling the truth, Pot. You all know it."
"Don't bring me into this bullshit." Destruction's baritone voice rumbled through the air.
"Will no one defend me?" Despair scoffed, angry tears brimming her silver eyes.
"I've truly had enough! Go home. I got what we came for. You are all released." Dream flicked his hand in a dismissive manner.
"So, you used us?!" Despair roared, face red with anger.
"It's over, Aponoia. Pack it up and go home." Destruction suggested before turning and heading for the exit followed by Destiny and Desire.
"You all are just going to leave? What about what was promised to us?"
"You will get what was promised to you." Dream's voice boomed. Not in a yelling type of way, no. More like a firm, authoritative way. Nova had always admired how he could project his point without having to holler or strain. It was a page she had longed to take out of his book.
"Now, Dream. I want what was promised to me now. I traveled the realms, I delivered Death to you, I've played your little game. Now, I want my second land!" Despair demanded, soliciting a hearty laugh from Desire. Everyone turned to look at him in unison. "And just what the hell are you laughing about again?"
"A second land? Why, you can't even manage the first one without falling to pieces, let alone a second one. What will be the rules there? Wail all day? Wallow by night?" He mocked.
"I've had just about enough of you, Desire! You traitorous scum. You've been on Death's side the whole time, innit? What a waste of skin you are. I'm disgusted to think we were in the womb together. Mother should have tossed you into the Sea of Black when she had the opportunity."
"You leave my mother out of this." Desire's tone was firm. For the first time, Raine saw the cold side of Desire as his face fell to stone and his body tensed up.
"Aponoia, that's enough." Destiny grabbed her arm gently to which Despair responded with a sharp pulling away.
"No, you know what? I've had enough of all of you!"
"Here we go." Nova flashed an evil grin, pulling Raine by the waist closer to her side.
"Go the fuck home. Get some fucking rest. You're not thinking clearly." Destruction said, nonchalantly picking at his black painted fingernails.
"You know what, Olethros, for the first time in my very long, very miserable life, I think I am thinking clearly." Without any warning or hesitation at all, Despair summoned her roped dagger and flung it in Desire's direction. Epithumia did not blink or flinch as he turned his body to the side, dodging the dagger. Once he straightened his body back up, he looked up at his twin with cold, yellow eyes.
Tumblr media
"You'll live to regret that." Desire growled, summoning his long, black leather whip with a solid golden handle.
"Finally! I've been longing for a good fight." Despair laughed manically as she pulled her weapon back toward herself and swung the blade around by the rope.
"Here we go." Dream sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Are they really about to fight right here and now?" Raine whispered to Nova, who was watching adamantly with a wicked smile splayed across her beautiful face.
"Yes, my dear. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do." Lucifer did not take her eyes off her siblings as they circled each other, looking like snakes preparing to strike their prey.
"Ever since we were little, I've despised your little self-righteous act! You honestly thought that you were better than me for coming out of mother's vag fourty-five seconds earlier? How pathetic."
"While we're on the subject of being pathetic, let's take a look at you, shall we? Poor Despair who thinks everyone else's lives are far better than her own. Boo hoo that nobody else has issues to deal with. Grow the fuck up!" Desire cracked his whip on the concrete floors of the Black Court, causing a loud clap to echo through the walls.
"And poor Desire... all he knows how to do correctly is fuck!" Despair swang her blade around quicker on the end of the rope, causing a whooping noise to flow through the air.
"It's they now! You would know that had you not been wearing your ass as a hat all these years and you actually got to know me!" Desire roared, this time with a single tear running down their face.
"You— they?" Despair softened up a little, ceasing her blade-swinging activities abruptly.
"Yes, they. They/them/their. That's me. Nice to fucking meet you, twin sister." Desire spat.
"I—"
"You know, for so many years, you've been so full of hatred. Hate for me, hate for Death and for no good reason."
"You know why I hate Death." Despair shot cold dagger eyes in Nova's direction.
"Actually, I don't. None of us do! So, please, enlighten us." Desire took a seat in the nearest chair to them, crossing their legs and placing their laced fingers atop their knee.
"Are you kidding? It's her fault our mother killed herself!" Despair pointed her desperately-in-need-of-a-manicure(d) finger at the being who was Lucifer Nova Morningstar.
"Nonsense!" Destruction interjected.
"Come, Raine. I will not listen to this rubbish any longer." Nova grabbed Raine by the hand and whisked her quickly out of the courtroom.
"Why in the hell would she think your mother's suicide was on you?" Raine asked, voice wavering as she was being jolted down the long corridor by the hand of her lover.
"Drop it." Lucifer replied coldly.
"Nova, I'm just trying to understand—"
"Enough!" Nova cut her off, suddenly stopping to turn towards Raine, "I will hear no more of this! One more peep from you and you will be sleeping in the dungeon with Tsularis!"
"You're an asshole, you know that?!" Raine yelled out of anger before starting off toward the exit.
"Raine, please. Wait." Nova grabbed her hand before she made it too far. Raine spun to face her, yanking her hand away from Nova and crossing her arms across her chest.
"What?" Raine asked with a sigh.
"I'm sorry. I should not have said that to you, my love."
"How do you expect for us to be wed when you keep pushing me away?" She threw up her hands, letting them come down on her thighs with a gentle smack.
"I'm sorry, I just—"
"Why can't you talk about it?"
"Raine, I—"
"Why are you running away?"
"Because I'm afraid it may be true! Fucking hell!" Nova did a 360, one hand on her nearly red forehead, the other hand on her hip. Raine watched as Nova's demeanor changed from hard and rigid to soft and relaxed.
Tumblr media
"But you don't know if it is true?" Raine asked.
"No, I do not."
"Well, let's find out." Raine held out her hand to Nova who hesitated for quite a bit before she realized what she must do. She grabbed Raine's hand tightly and replied...
"Yes... let's."
MORE OF LESSO - incendo
Tumblr media
6 days until the students arrive
Aavani spent the rest of the day after the meeting familiarizing herself with the halls of the great school. Luckily, Professor Frankie tagged along with her for the first hour. Having Frankie there made navigating a lot less intimidating for the very inexperienced professor. Once they parted ways, Aavani felt that much more confident in her place as the brand new teacher at The School for Good and Evil.
Professor Truth had just finished up printing the first year students' curriculum in the Teacher's Library when she heard the sound of breaking glass reverberate from the kitchen just around the corner. She went to investigate to find Professor Lesso wrapping up her repair charm on that poor ceramic coffee mug.
"Are you alright?" Aavani asked timidly, as she recently discovered that her tummy turns into an absolute butterfly garden every single time Leonora is near.
"Yes, clumsy me." Lesso smiled, writing it off as some silly mistake. Aavani could tell, though, that something more was beneath the surface.
"Honestly, I blame the glass mug. They're so pesky sometimes. Always trying to get away." Aavani chuckled nervously. Professor Lesso responded only with a blank stare, plunging Aavani even deeper into her pool of anxiety. Just as Truth's smile began to fade and her cheeks began to heat, Leonora started laughing.
"I'm only messing with you. That was a good one, Professor Truth."
"Aavani." She nearly whispered with a relieved chuckle.
"I beg your pardon?" Lesso leaned forward a bit, offering more of her ear.
"Please— c-call me Aavani."
"Aavani." Lesso repeated slowly as if it were an attempt to taste the name on her lips. "I like it. Though, I'm sure we could find a good nickname for you. A name that stays between you and me, hmm?"
"Any ideas?" Aavani asked, but as soon as Leonora opened her mouth again, in strode Professor Yu.
"Vani! There you are. We have to pick out a dress for your inauguration ceremony tonight!"
"My what?" Aavani exclaimed.
"You're a fresh professor here! You must be sworn in correctly. We all had a ceremony." Frankie excitedly explained as she clasped Aavani on the back enthusiastically.
"Oh, no no no. The guides said nothing about a ceremony." Aavani shrugged Frankie's hand away, feeling herself grow more and more claustrophobic by the second.
"It'll be quick and easy! Like a band-aid." Yu smiled mindlessly.
"No, Frankie, you don't understand. I-I don't like too much attention." Aavani stuttered, feeling yet another panic attack coming on. She might as well get used to those.
"What do you mean? It'll only be the professors you already met and a few others you haven't— nothing major."
"Oh, for fuck's sake. She's crowd shy, Yu. Read the room." Lesso rolled her eyes, reading Aavani like a goddamn book.
"Crowd shy? What the fuck is that?" A super extroverted Professor Yu exclaimed as she struggled to fathom the thought.
"You know what... you go prepare whatever you need for the ceremony. I'll take care of Truth." The way Leonora said it made it almost seem like she had an ulterior motive, but Aavani thought not to look into it too much. After all, she'd only been at The School for Good and Evil for half of a wink and has no idea what everyone is really like. Best not to assume.
"Suit yourself! Later, Vani." Frankie shrugged before bouncing out of the room. Lesso dramatically turned toward Aavani once there were alone again.
"Shall we? I know just the dress to... fill you in."
"Oh! Y-yes. Lead the way."
Aavani watched Leonora saunter her perfect hips all the way to what she assumed were her quarters. Lesso's bedroom was bigger than the apartment Truth grew up in as a child, and that's not including the master bathroom sized walk-in closet. If this was what all of the professors' living quarters looked like, Aavani couldn't wait to see her own quarters .
"Geez, what a room." Aavani mumbled under her breath.
"Yours is just as spacious. I'll show you to it after. Come. There's a dress in here that I will never wear. It's perfect for your... shape." Lesso made a show of sizing Aavani up slowly, causing her to blush.
"I appreciate that." Professor Truth replied with fully flushed cheeks as she fixed her eyes on Lady Lesso's feet.
"No need to be coy, Aavani. Come over here." Lesso hooked her finger and motioned for Aavani to come closer. Adversely, Truth trudged her way over, her heart pounding through her ears with each step she took.
Lesso un-racked an emerald floor-length cape and dress with golden embroidery on the torso and back of it. Shimmers of golden glitter littered the hem and the edges of the cape to make for a more elegant look. Careful to avoid any contact of her skin, Leonora pressed the dress up to Aavani's body from behind and walked her over in front of the mirror.
Tumblr media
"What do you think?" Lesso whispered as she leaned in closer to Aavani's ear.
"It's beautiful." Aavani whispered back, feeling her body temperature slowly rise higher and higher.
"Go ahead... try it on. Don't worry, I won't peek." Lesso took a step away from Aavani, leaving the dress in her trembling hands, and turned her back on her.
"Oh! O-okay." Truth didn't know what the hell was going on with herself. She's usually super focused and always on one thing— her career. Now, she's starting to lose sight of why she's really here.
With a shaky breath, Aavani dropped the shoulders of the sundress she currently had on and allowed it to pool around her feet before quickly stepping into Leonora's gown. She quietly struggled to reach the gown's zipper which ran down her back before reluctantly giving up.
"Um... a little help?"
"Certainly." Lesso turned around immediately, a certain fire in her eyes as she came closer to Aavani— even closer than before.
Did she do this on purpose? Surely she knew I wouldn't be able to reach the zipper myself. Aavani was so deep into her own thoughts that she couldn't recognize the expectant stare Lesso was giving her.
"Aren't you going to turn around for me?" Leonora smirked.
"I-I'm sorry." Professor Truth said before quickly turning. Suddenly, there was a slight, pleasant yank of her ponytailed locs and a familiar ghost of a breath on her ear.
"Ah!" She cried out with a startling delight.
"'I'm sorry, mistress.'" Lesso growled, no longer able to control what she'd been feeling since the moment she laid eyes on Aavani Truth.
"E-excuse me?" Aavani asked, totally unbelieving of what was happening. Was this actually happening?
"Say it. 'I'm sorry, mistress.' Go on." Lesso commanded firmly.
"I-I'm sorry... mistress." Aavani did as she was told, feeling a warm liquid pooling at her core.
"Good girl. You may just be the perfect woman for the job, yet." Lesso released Aavani's hair and zipped up her dress all in one swift motion.
"There. It is impeccable."
"Thanks." Aavani managed to squeak out, her cheeks still burning hot.
"Keep it, it's yours. Now, change back. Hurry, hurry! I must still show you to your room, and god forbid we keep Frankie waiting." Lesso turned on her heels and showed herself out of her own closet, leaving Aavani behind in all of her confusion and sexual frustration.
What was that? She asked to herself, frozen in place, staring at her own reflection. Surely she dreamt it. Never in all her years has she been so dominantly handled that way... and by a woman she'd only just met!
Still, Aavani couldn't help but feel eager to see just where this curious little road would her lead to.
Tumblr media
"You're radiant!" Frankie exclaimed once Aavani emerged from her washroom with her gifted dress on. Timidly, Aavani did a little spin before smoothing down the dress over her prominent curves.
"You really think so?" She asked gingerly, cheeks flushed with heat. She'd never been one for fancy dresses, and she especially was not born for the spotlight. These were facts that were definitely shown through her attitude toward herself. The woman did not know how beautiful she truly was.
"Are you kidding me? You put the rest of us to shame. I feel like I should be bowing down to you. Should I bow down to you?" Frankie acted as if she were really about to get down on her hands and knees.
"No!" Aavani laughed, "Don't be silly, Frankie. Thanks for the compliment, but, no."
"Don't be nervous. It's just a brief little ceremony acknowledging and celebrating your coming to our glorious school."
"How brief is brief?"
"Oh, I dunno... like an hour?" Frankie cringed noticeably, causing a reluctant groan to escape from professor Truth's glossy lips.
"An hour?!" She slouched down on her bed.
"Oh, come on. You're overthinking it. We should head to the common room. Let's go." Frankie grabbed a loathing Aavani by the wrist and nearly dragged her along with her.
Just as Aavani and Frankie entered into the elegantly decorated common room, the panic had officially set at full force. She began to hyperventilate as every face turned toward her. Frankie squeezed her hand tight until Aavani turned to meet her gentle eyes.
"Hey, you're okay. I'm right here with you, ok?" Frankie whispered reassuringly, keeping her friends hand secured within her own until Aavani finally took a deep breath and nodded just as they reached their seats, front and center.
"Welcome Professors of Good and Evil alike! Now that our guest of honor has arrived, the Inauguration have officially begun." Headmaster Mistral started, reading his notes from the podium in front of him. "Professor Aavani Truth came from a long line of sorcerers— her mother, her father, and both sets of her grandparents were all Alumni of our great school. Though, the young professor never attended herself, she did not allow that to stop her from perusing a spot here at TSGE and we are honored to have her!"
Aavani slunk down a little bit in her seat as Mistral paused to allow the other professors to applaud.
"Now, would you stand with me as we receive Professor Aavani Truth to say a few words." Professor Mistral continued as the clapping died down. Immediately, Truth turned to Yu with pure panic in her eyes.
"You said nothing about a speech!" Aavani said through a forced, gritted smile just low enough for only Frankie to hear. While everyone around her stood, Aavani wished she could become one with the chair.
"It's only a few words, you'll be ok. Go!" Frankie responded through her own forced smile, standing up and grabbing Aavani's arm, pulling her up with her. Having been given a little push from her dear friend, Aavani found herself that much closer to the platform. With trembling legs, she managed her way up the three steps and all the way behind the podium. She looked out into the crowd of professors, earning a smoldering look from Leonora, an empathetic look from Anemone, a proud look from Henry, a stoic look from Cameron, and a nasty look from Clarissa. A few other professors were there as well that Truth did not recognize, which only put her deeper in the pits of apprehension.
"I, um... I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Headmaster Mistral for allowing me to be here. I'd also like to thank assistant headmaster, Professor Yu for being so kind and encouraging to me in my first days here. Without you, Frankie, I'd probably still be wandering around in circles in the corridors." Aavani paused as she and a few others chuckled. "I have fought tooth and nail to make it here. Now that I am exactly who I'd always hoped to become, I will not squander it. Thank you for having me and I look forward to being your colleague this year."
"Excellent. Now, Professor Truth. If you would place your left hand on the Book of Sorcery and repeat after me." Mistral instructed as Professor Truth did as she was told. "Say 'I, Professor Aavani Truth,'"
"I, Professor Aavani Truth"
"'Do solemnly swear by the Book of Sorcery'"
"Do solemnly swear by the Book of Sorcery"
"'That I will teach, swear by, and protect the world of magic for as long as I may live.'"
"That I will teach, swear by, and protect the world of magic for as long as I may live."
"Excellent! Then it is with great honor and pride that I officially declare you one with The School of Good and Evil." With a wave of his other hand, Mistral conjured a ribbon of gold which wrapped around Aavani's hand and the Book of Sorcery, making them one with each other for a brief moment. Aavani smiled at the feeling of finally accomplishing what she'd always dreamed of achieving as she turned toward the crowd.
"Woooo!" Frankie was the first person on her feet, bursting with pride and applauding loudly. Soon after, more and more professors began standing to their feet, clapping and cheering as Aavani made her way back to her seat. Right before she turned to sit, she caught Dovey's disapproving look. She had a feeling that Clarissa was so not looking forward to being her colleague this year.
NOVA - the evocation
Tumblr media
"Psst! Teltel!" A young Desire whispered from atop the cellar steps.
"Just go away, Thumi, I'm still not talking to you. Besides, dad would kill you if he found out you were down here again." Ten year old Nova responded bitterly.
"It wasn't my fault! I'm your only friend in this whole entire house. And you're mine." Eight year old Desire whispered, creeping down the stairs carefully to avoid the squeaky parts.
"No, you have your darling twin, don't you?" Nova turned up her nose and shut her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest.
"Despair isn't my friend, she's my twin. Besides, don't you want to know the secret I just found out? It's juicy!" Epithumia flamboyantly gave his point in a song-like manner.
"Secret?" Teleute lazily looked over her shoulder, intrigued.
"Uh huuuuh!" Desire responded proudly.
"Well? What is it?" Nova turned her attention fully toward Desire, eagerly awaiting the details.
"Ah ah ah. You have to promise to be my friend again."
"Ugh, fine! I promise I'll be your friend again! Now tell me the secret, or else!" Nova's eyes glowed fire-like red as a warning to her brother to start talking.
"Mommy found out that daddy been using Mania to predict his "emenies" next moves. Mommy's not very happy about that! She says if it continues, she'll kick him in the streets!" Desire animatedly spilled the news.
"It's enemies, you fool. I knew there was only a matter of time before mom found out. Dad must be seething with anger. My only regret is not being there to see it." Nova showed an evil smirk at her outwardly expressed thoughts.
"Lucifer?" Desire hung his head slightly, his bottom lip poking out ever so slightly.
"Yes, imbecile?" Teleute rolled her eyes at his sudden show of emotion.
"Why does daddy keep you locked up down here?" His question took Nova aback by a landslide. The one thing she's ever had a soft spot for in the entire galaxy was her father. All she ever wanted was for him to love her the way she saw him love her siblings...
Which was not particularly ideal but it was still better than the treatment she had been receiving.
"I don't know..." Nova finally spoke up a bit softer than before, "I'm sure father has his reasons."
"Epithumia! Why the fuck are you down here again!" Their father yelled from the now opened cellar door. Desire scrambled to his feet and hurried up the stairs.
"Sorry, father!" Desire lowered his head before their dad grabbed him by the collar and pushed him inside the house.
"I told you your sister is no good. She'll spoil you!" he shouted, sure to make Nova hear every word.
"He doesn't need me for that, father. That's what he has you for." Angry, bitter, and hurt, a watery eyed Nova stood staring up at her father with her fists balled at her sides.
"You watch your goddamn tone when you're talking to me, Morningstar." he pointed a large, meaty warning finger at her.
"Why do you hate me?!" Young Nova screamed at the top of her lungs, her crystal blue eyes glistening with tears. The question made her father's jaw clench tightly and he broke eye contact with her quicker than she'd realized it.
"Your mother is home now. Come up for supper." Lucifer's father instructed her before turning and walking back through the door he came out of, leaving it slightly open for her.
Nova carefully climbed those rotting wooden stairs and slipped through the door behind her father. It took a few moments for her eyes to adjust to the brightness of the kitchen. She had gotten so used to the darkness of her prison that she'd forgotten how much she appreciated the warmth of light.
"Teltel!" Delirium cried out with glee before attacking his big sister with a giant hug.
"Unhand me, peasant." Teleute responded plainly.
"Don't be mean to Mania!" Despair yelled, brows furrowed.
"Would you like to fight me again? And lose again?" Lucifer smiled down at her sister.
"N-no." Aponoia retreated back into her shell.
"Thought not."
"Now, kids, are we being kind to each other like we learned?" Their mother, Olenara, gracefully interrupted the chaos... and right on time, too.
"Mom!" Nova exclaimed to herself as the rest of her mother's children rushed to her side as she barely made it over the threshold. Surely, Lucifer couldn't show just how excited she was to see her mom. Certainly not in front of her siblings and her cruel father. Truth be kept, Olenara was the only being in the entire ten galaxies who loved her... really loved her.
Nova never understood why nobody else really cared for her. She couldn't tell if it was because she was evil or if she was evil because of it.
Either way, she accepted it was in her nature and there was no changing the cards for her.
"Hi! Hey!" Olenara laughed with glee as she hugged her children one by one. Once Morpheus, Potmos, Olethros, Epithumia, Aponoia, and Mania all got their pathetic little dopamine fixes, Nova locked eyes with her stunning mother. Disinclined, Olenara opened her warm and inviting arms to her fourth born, knowing full well she may not take the bait. Nova couldn't resist, though. She took step after eager step before, finally, she was able to wrap her short arms halfway around her 6-foot framed mother.
"I've missed you." She whispered into the threads of her mother's skirt.
"I've missed you as well, Teleute." Just as Olenara was getting ready to squeeze her daughter back, Nova's father so rudely interrupted.
"Olenara! I warned you about coddling her!" His authoritative tone echoed throughout the house.
"Oh, piss off, Obsidian! Coddling..." she scoffed, "was it considered coddling when I hugged your other six children?"
"Don't go there with me." Obsidian's voice seemed eerily calm.
"Kids, in the den. Go on, all of you. Supper will be slightly late tonight." Olenara gently pushed her children in the direction of the master den.
"But, mom!" Despair protested.
"No buts! I'll come and get you all in a few, now run along." Olenara repeated firmly.
Reluctantly, Nova and her siblings followed their mother's instruction. Morpheus, being the eldest, set everyone up in front of the telly and turned it up way loud. They all knew what being sent to the master den meant — a full-fledged argument.
Teleute, being the rebel she was, snuck her way over to the wooden doors of the den while no one was looking and pressed her ear to them.
"I told you before, Olenara! ... dangerous child... don't want... my house!"
"...ridiculous! Why would you... absolutely disgusting... you son of a bitch!"
Nova could barely make out what her parents were saying over the loud television and through the thick wooden doors. She knew, however, they were arguing over her... again. It was always over her.
"You shouldn't snoop." Oneiros suddenly appeared next to his sister, back against the doors, arms crossed, and with one foot braced behind him.
"You shouldn't mind other people's business." Nova turned to her brother with a mean eye roll.
"Says the hypocrite." Smirked Dream.
"What do you want, Morpheus?" Lucifer grew impatient at her brother's smug demeanor.
"I want to stop father. He's going to get us all killed. Especially Mania." Dream's expression grew solid and cold. Nova turned her full attention to her brother with a cocked eyebrow.
"Have you got a plan? Obsidian isn't exactly a weak man to go up against... he's definitely not stupid either." She asked, intrigued.
"Oh, I have a plan... follow me."
NOVA - delirium
Tumblr media
(( disclosure at bottom, please read first ))
"What is the meaning of this? Why am I being detained in my own fucking land? I am Queen! And frankly, I'm much stronger and more intelligent than you lot!" Nova found herself standing in the middle of her own courtroom, chained by the wrists to the ground, staring into the faces of her own flesh and blood.
Dream and Desire were the only faces she'd really recognized. However, she hadn't seen Destruction, Destiny, or Despair in several centuries. It would've been a joyous occasion under different circumstances.
"Silence," the eldest of the six had spoken first, "for you know why you're here."
"I'm here because I built this world I've allowed you all to enter. Now, release me before you regret ever setting foot into the Land of Death." Nova flashed her perfect smile.
"Your threats have no meaning. No matter the land, you're in our territory. And your sharp tongue will only push you further into danger, so watch yourself sister." Despair snarled at Nova like a rabid raccoon.
"Oh, Despair. Always the pleasure. How's that depression treating you? Still wallowing in self pity?" Nova asked mockingly.
"A low blow. How surprising." Destruction chimed in sarcastically with his baritone voice.
"Honestly, not cool, Death." Destiny nearly whispered. She had always been the silent type.
"I expected nothing less from a self righteous bitch such as herself." Despair's anger was showing hardcore.
"Aww, so sweet." Nova smiled deviously.
"That's enough!" Dream raised his voice, bringing a silent draft upon the siblings. "From here on out, nobody speaks out of turn."
"Desire will speak as Desire so desires, brother." His truly spoke out. "Let's just get to the judgment and get the hell out of here. My soldiers here deserve a break."
"A break from what?!" exclaimed Despair. "They didn't do shit! It was my soldiers who had slain the beasts Lucifer calls comrades."
"Don't go there with me, Despair. You know you never win." Desire clapped back with a wicked laugh.
"Dream, please, for the love of gods! Tell them already." Destruction interjected.
"Tell us what?" Destiny's timid voice squeaked out.
"Yeah, tell us what?" Despair's quite the opposite.
"They're not ready." Morpheus replied plainly, eyes still fixated on Nova.
"What is this? Why are secrets being kept?" Desire cocked one of his very full eyebrows.
"It's not a secret, Desire." Dream turned to his brother.
"Then why does Olethros know something the rest of us doesn't?" Despair roared, standing up swiftly in order to make a scene.
"Sit down, Aponoia!" Dream's eyes turned pitch black as he stood to match Despair's energy. Suddenly, Nova began to laugh... a laugh so maniacally powerful that it caught everyone's attention instantly.
"What are you laughing for?" Despair snarled.
"You all are so pathetic." Nova was sure to spit out that last word. "You lot can't even hold a proper judgement without arguing like fucking idiots. You've been arguing so long that you hadn't even noticed that I singed these pitiful shackles minutes ago."
Her siblings watched in horror as Nova shook off her chains and they fell to her feet.
"I knew those wouldn't hold you." the corner of Dream's mouth turned up ever so slightly.
"Then what in the galaxy would make you bind me?" Nova smirked back, amused.
"I just needed you there long enough to locate your one true weakness. You know, Teleute, I'm surprised at you. You usually never let down your guard. However, moments ago, whilst the bickering was raging, I caught your eyes shifting over to one of Desire's soldiers. I thought, 'now why would she do that'... and then I instantly figured it out." Dream snapped his fingers and one of Despair's soldiers went and pulled the gimp mask off of Raine's head — violently. The soldier then grabbed Raine's hair in their fist and pulled her head back slightly.
"Nova!" Raine cried out in pain.
"Dream, I'm warning you! Fuck off!" Nova's eyes turned bloodshot red as she summoned her weapon. In quick response, everyone else in the room called for their weapons as well. Everyone but Desire.
"Put it down, Lucifer!" Destruction yelled, his two daggers positioned in front of him.
"You want me, Morpheus. Leave her out of this or I'll kill you myself." Nova raised her fire-headed cobalt spear and pointed it in her eldest brother's direction.
"She's got a point, you know." Interjected Desire.
"Don't get me started on you, Epithumia. Traitor." Dream's eyes darkened with an anger nobody could ever touch.
"Was I really that obvious?" smirked Desire. He was very evidently aware of the danger he could be facing, yet still enjoying the ride.
Tumblr media
"Oh, for fuck's sake! Tell me what you want!" Nova damn near pleaded, glancing over at Raine who was still being handled by Despair's soldier.
"You need to come with me. I received a comm from our father." Nova and her siblings all gasped and lowered their weapons slowly at this news.
"That bastard is still alive!?" Despair roared.
"Yes, he is. Not only that, but he has information about Delirium's death." Dream looked around into the faces of his brothers and sisters.
"Whoa whoa, wait. I don't understand? What information? It was a horrible accident. Right?" Desire looked to Dream expectantly.
"This is far too much." Destiny sat down in her previous chair and buried her head in her hands.
"And furthermore, why the fuck must I accompany you? Take Destruction. I'm sure your little pet would love an adventure." Nova nodded her chin toward Olethros shortly before he quite literally spat in her direction. She chuckled with amusement as the loogie fell super short since she was standing 40 feet away.
"Mania was murdered and we need your help to uncover the killer." At this bomb that Dream so casually detonated on them, all of the Endless spiraled into complete chaos — again.
"Murdered?!" Despair exclaimed.
"The fuck do you mean?" Desire chimed in.
"No no no no." Destiny pressed her hands over her ears.
"You have a funny way of asking for help." Morningstar rolled her perfect crystal blue eyes into the back of her head.
"Lucifer, I'm not asking. Let's go." extending his hand to Nova as if they were friends, Dream motioned towards the door.
"If I don't?" she clasped her hands in front of her body, challenging the older being.
"If you don't, your girlfriend dies." Dream snapped his fingers and the soldier pulled out their blade and positioned it against Raine's neck.
"Right! You've made your point, I'll go... but only on one condition."
"I'm listening."
"Raine goes with me and nobody touches her but me from here on out." Nova suggested. Oneiros scratched his shaggy chin, considering for a moment.
"Alright. Deal. Now, enough of this nonsense. Shall we?"
MORE OF LESSO - butterfly garden
Tumblr media
As Aavani walked through the corridors of the academy, sparkly gold heels clacking on the incredibly shiny marble floors, she felt her breath undoubtably hitch itself up in her chest. She had dreamt of this moment, and this moment only her entire life. The school in her dreams, of course, didn't do the real one any justice. One's mind could never even fathom the magnificence laid out before her.
Tumblr media
The walls and ceiling were literally lined with gold— real gold. She felt like a child in a chocolate factory looking around in awe of her surroundings. Aavani was so enamored with what laid before her eyes that she hardly realized that she was now completely lost.
"Oh, there you are!" A familiar voice called from behind her. She turned with relief to see the woman who helped her with onboarding, and the assistant headmaster of the school, Professor Frankie Yu.
"Professor Frankie! Thank goodness, I was starting to get turned around. These halls are almost impossible to navigate."
"Oh, I know, trust me. It took me several months to learn where everything is and how to get there. Come on, follow me." Yu said as she hooked her arm in with Aavani's. Frankie led them through what seemed to be a maze of halls and right up to a set of floor-to-ceiling golden double doors. "Here we are! The conference room."
"Well..." Aavani tilted her head to the side out of confusion, as the doors had no handles or knobs, "how do you open it?"
"You're so funny! I'm going to enjoy having you around!" She said as she pulled out her wand from her innermost coat pocket. With a flick of her wrist and absolutely no words, Frankie had succeeded in opening the knobless doors.
"Whoa." The green professor marveled to herself. They walked into an immense room where round tables were strategically placed all around. There were open space windows to their left, and a long, fully stocked buffet table to their right. In the front center of the room laid a small stage, not for performing but more for speaking events and such.
"It's about time you showed up!" A beautiful Malaysian woman teased from a table near the stage with a warm smile. Another stunning woman wearing an elegant gown also sat with her. Aavani hardly noticed a third sitting at the round table in the far corner— all alone.
"Oh! Are we late? I thought the meeting commenced at 8? It's only 7:40." Aavani felt a panic attack coming on.
"Ah, don't pay her any mind." Frankie fanned her hand dismissively. "To professor Anemone, if you aren't half an hour early, you're late."
"And nobody knows that better than me." A man with the most gorgeous eyes Professor Truth has ever seen waltzed in behind them. He reached out his hand to Aavani for a friendly shake. "Professor Henry Davies, department of Enchantment."
"Professor Aavani Truth," she smiled to herself at the sound of that as she shook his hand, "department of Conjuration. Also, what did you mean by—"
"Don't ask." Everyone but Anemone said in unison, causing Aavani's curiosity to pique.
"Great! You're all here. Take your seats please!" Headmaster Mistral energetically bursted through the doors. They all scurried to sit down. Henry motioned for Aavani to follow him to the table at which the quiet and mysterious lady were sitting while Anemone and the woman in the gown sat together at their table. Shortly after Aavani sat, Henry went to sit next to Anemone.
"What, you don't want to sit next to me?" Aavani joked.
"Not so much that I don't want to... it's more like I can't." He explained slowly while everyone else stared.
"W-why?" Aavani scoffed with a confused smile. At this, everyone shared an awkward look. The brand new professor felt as though she were left out of a very well known conversation.
"Goods and Evils can't sit together, Professor Truth." The mystery woman who Aavani sat with finally spoke up. "It's been that way for centuries."
"But, I don't understand? We can walk together but we can't sit together? You pulled out my chair, Professor Davies." Aavani was clearly unhappy and disagreed with this rule. She read every bylaw, every guide to The School for Good and Evil, every paragraph, sentence, and every word and she's never been informed of this. Her parents and their parents didn't bother to mention it, either.
"What about this law upsets you so, Professor?" Mistral asked.
"Well, Headmaster, it's the simple fact that we are all supposed to be equal. This type of outrageous segregation makes me feel like we are all less than equal. That is what upsets me so." The room grew still and eerily quiet. Headmaster Mistral's thoughtful hums were all that filled the room.
"All right, then. I want to start off by welcoming everyone back from another successful year here at The School for Good and Evil! Let's all take the time to welcome each other back and to especially welcome our newly onboarded colleague, Professor Aavani Truth!" Headmaster went into his spiel without actually acknowledging anything Aavani said. Everyone applauded, causing Aavani to awkwardly smile and wave before embarrassingly sinking down in her chair.
"They'll never understand, you know. I've been trying to tell them for ages." The woman said as Mistral went on with his beginning-of-year speech.
"What's their deal?" Aavani asked lowly.
"They're far too stuck in their ways. I'm Cameron. Cameron Snow." She officially introduced herself before reaching for her tea.
Tumblr media
"Wait... the Cameron Snow? You teach Ancient Dark Magic!" Aavani whisper-screamed out of pure excitement. Here she was: a twenty eight year old grown ass woman fangirling over a woman who was only a few years older than her...
... and she felt zero shame.
"That's right." Snow smirked, clearly amused by her own preceding reputation.ïżŒ
"I have so many questions I would like to—"
"Hope I'm not too late." An unfamiliar and unexpected voice entered the room behind Aavani.
"Oh, no, Professor. You're just in time! For the end of the meeting." Mistral responded sarcastically.
"Lovely to see you as well, Headmaster." The soothing voice played back. Aavani finally turned to see who all the commotion was coming from, and when she did, she almost forgot to breathe.
What a sight to behold. She thought to herself as she sized up the stunning beauty in front of her eyes.
Tumblr media
There she stood, blazer hugging her waist, breasts sitting up high... oh, and that hair! Aavani has always been a sucker for redheads. She needed to know who this woman was... she had to know!
"Who is that?" She leaned in towards Cameron as Mistral and the perfect stranger continued bantering.
"That is Lady Leonora Lesso, department of Curses and Death traps." Cameron replied with sarcastic enthusiasm and an annoyed eye roll. "Having been voted head of Professors three year's running, Lesso is the favorite everywhere she goes, she's the golden standard, and she's my very annoying older sister."
"She's your sister?" Aavani exclaimed between she and Snow, failing to break her eyes away from Leonora.
"Nope." Cameron took another sip of her tea. "I am Leonora's sister. Always have been, always will be."
"Enough!" Mistral finally snapped, bringing everyone's attention fully back to him. "Take your seat, Leonora. At least soak in the last three minutes."
"Yes, Headmaster." Lesso said with a satisfied and cunning grin. Truth watched as Lady Lesso made her merry way to their table. Lesso's eyes found the staring Professor's shortly before Aavani quickly looked away, her stomach now absolutely in her ass.
"You must be Professor Truth, pleased to meet you." Lesso greeted her as soon as she sat down.
"Oh! Uh, the pleasure is all mine. And you are Lady Leonora Lesso. Your sister here told me all about you. Will we be working... closely?" Aavani twisted her locs around her finger nervously, careful to avoid direct eye contact.
"Not particularly," Lesso chuckled, "but I'm sure you won't be seeing the least of me."
"That is music to my ears." Aavani flirted back, finally gazing into Leonora's eyes.
"Oh, brother." Snow scoffed with an exhaustive sigh. "This is going to be a long fucking semester."
I sure hope so. Aavani thought as she found herself getting more and more enamored in the presence of who she knew would be so. much. trouble.
NOVA - sanguis bellato
Tumblr media
"You'll need to blend in. Here, put these on." Desire offered Raine an extra pair of his soldiers' uniform. Raine took the clothes out of his hands reluctantly and gave him a small nod.
"There's only one problem, here. Dream already saw my face. Even if I'm in uniform, he'll still recognize me." Raine responded pointedly.
"Good thing we have these." Desire pulled out a leather face mask from his duffle with a devious smile splayed across his face.
"There's no way." Raine objected, eyeballing the gimp mask with horror.
"It's either this or a painful, gruesome death. Up to you." Desire shrugged nonchalantly, giving that last bit in a singsong manner. Raine squinted her eyes at him before snatching the mask out of his manicured hand, extracting a coy smile from him.
"Nova?" Raine looked to her for a sliver of a way out.
"I need you to stay protected at all costs, my love." Nova was no help. Raine groaned, turning toward the powder room to go and change her identity. Just then, Maz and Rao ducked into the castle before hurriedly shutting the once very broken doors behind them.
"How bad is it out there?" Nova asked them before they could even catch their breath.
"We're fine, thanks for asking." Maz said sarcastically as her breath began to slow.
"The condition of my land and my people, please." Nova repeated in a firmer tone.
"Despair called off her soldiers, Your Majesty, but we suffered quite a bit of loss out there." Rao lowered his head slightly. "Krag is dead."
"And Farhu?" Nova asked.
"We haven't seen him, my Queen. We lost him in the madness." Maz lowered her eyes. There was a tense silence as Nova processed the situation. Nobody moved, nobody dared to breathe.
That is, until Raine barged back into the room in full-on LoD army uniform, clenching a particular leather mask in her white knuckled fist.
"I look absolutely ridiculous in this shit, Desire." Everyone turned an awkward stare to her almost in unison.
"Oh, quit being a big baby and wear the damn mask." Desire rolled his yellow eyes, arms crossed loosely across his chest.
"How about you be a doll and shove it up your—"
"Raine. Put it on, my dear. That's an order from your Queen." Nova interrupted Raine's kind words to Desire, commissioning snickers and giggles from him and Maz.
"But, Nova—"
"Meet me in our quarters." Novas eyes swept over Raine's nearly naked body so smoothly that nobody noticed it but her.
"Nova—" Raine's face flushed with red, a familiar heat pooling at her core. She knew that look and it's been so long.
"Now, Raine Jackson. Don't make me repeat myself." Nova lowered her tone a bit, the way she knows Raine loves it.
"Y-yes, Nova." Raine replied before scurrying up the steps to the Master bedroom.
"Really, Teleute? Right now? Trust me, I'm all for sexy time but there are literally entities out there killing your people to get to you and you choose right now?" Desire rubbed his temples, eyes shut tightly, "What happened to 'take me to your siblings'?"
"I'll make it quick." Nova shot Desire a sly smirk before heading up the stairs, following in Raine's footsteps. Once inside of her bedroom, Nova found Raine spread wide for her already on top of the bed. This pleased Nova.
Tumblr media
"Look at you. How beautiful you are, darling." Nova growled with a wicked grin.
"Come here." Raine said, her breath growing heavy with anticipation.
"Now, what did we talk about, Raine Jackson? Do I take orders from you?" Nova lowered her eyelids and her tone.
"N-no. I—" heat rose into the plump of Raine's cheeks.
"Then what do we say?"
"Please, Nova. I need you." Raine squirmed under Nova's sensual and passionate gaze.
"Much better, my love." Within seconds, Nova was hovering over her lover's hot body. Her mouth was so close to Raine's brown skin that Raine could feel every inhale and exhale. Nova wasted no time pressing kisses along her neck and down to her chest, pushing that pesky vest out of her path.
"Nova?" Raine sighed with her eyes shut as she appreciated the feeling of Nova's warm lips on her skin.
"Yes, my love?" Nova answered before finding Raine's bottom lip and sinking her teeth briefly and softly into it.
"Ah! Sh-should we be doing this now? You know... while people are dying out there?"
"Oh, my dear. If we don't do this now, people dying out there will be the least of our worries." At this, Nova slipped her hand under Raine's tight waistband and slowly caressed her wetness before pulling the shorts off completely.
"You drive me crazy." Raine moaned to the beat of the growing pressure at her core.
"It's my pleasure, really." Nova pushed her fingers inside, moving them rapidly whilst rubbing circles on Raine's clitoris.
She was a rhythmic genius.
And Raine was all about the music. She swiveled her hips as Nova continued to thrust inside of her. Their musical piece swelled into a crescendo until they both reached their climax.
"Nova!" Raine cried out with bliss, arms wrapped tightly around Nova's neck as she rode the wave all the way through.
"Pleasing you brings me pleasure, my love." Nova whispered into Raine's ear before gripping the lobe gently with her teeth.
"We should get back to the others. Dream and your other siblings could be—" Raine's sentence was cut short by the doors to their bedroom quarters being slammed open. A heavily panting Maz with more fear in her eyes than Raine has seen thus far stood staring at them, speechless.
"Well?! There must be a good fucking reason you've burst into my room this way, so go on." Nova stood, staring back at Maz wide eyed and angry while Raine scrambled to put back on her boy shorts that Nova so greedily yanked off of her body.
"Please forgive my intrusion, Master Mistress. They've infiltrated the castle. R-Rao is dead. They sent me to gather you." Maz's lowered eyes were glossy and red. There was a hint of unsteadiness in her voice.
"Where is Desire?" Nova asked.
"He's with them, my Lord. He's at their side." Maz finally allowed a tear to fall down her face. Nova tightened her jaw and glanced at Raine, who was looking back at her with pure concern in her eyes.
"It's go time, my love. You have to find a way to join Desire and his soldiers. They cannot know you are with me. If they find out what you are to me, they'll surely use you to hurt me." Nova's tone solid.
"Nova, I'm scared. I- what if I fuck this up? I can't!" Raine felt a panic attack coming on.
"Hey," Nova placed her warm palms on the swell of Raine's cheeks, forcing her to look up into her eyes, "don't forget who you are. You'll be fine, my dear. We will make it through this and I will make you my wife. Yes?"
"Yes, Nova." Raine whispered, closing her eyes tightly as tears fell down her face and onto Nova's hands. With a stiff nod, the Goddess turned back toward Maz, a sure gleam surrounding her.
"Lead the way, Mazikeen."
Since we have no Larissa Weems in the second season yet (hope springs eternal), let’s just fantasize how she would look like.
NOVA - rodeo flame
Tumblr media
Nova, Raine, Maz, and the others arrived in the Land of Death just in time to witness the destruction of their home by means of hot blue fire. Her crystal blue eyes widened with horror, Nova watched as her people were being slaughtered at the hands of hooded soldiers.
They were paying for her sins.
"It's Despair, Master. Those are her soldiers. Should we search for her?" Rao asked, hand readied around the butt of his blade.
"No." Nova held up a hand, eyes glazed over with a distant hue.
"What are we to do, Mistress?" Maz asked, frantically looking around, taking in the chaos.
"I—"
"We have to do something, Mother Mistress." Farhu chimed in, cutting Nova off.
"We—"
"Everyone's dying!" Krag's wailing stopped Nova's sentence short again, and then is when she had enough.
"Oh, for fuck's sake! SHUT. UP." Nova's face blushed red with fury. The lot of them closed their mouths and cast their eyes down to her feet in unison. Raine could do nothing but stand off to the side speechless and helpless.
"I will have respect. I am still your Queen."
"Forgive us, Mistress." Maz spake with a low vibrational frequency.
"We must convene at the Dark Castle. Come, my love." Nova held her hand out to Raine. "You're coming with me. The rest of you, keep your eyes peeled and stay on your toes. Meet us as soon as you can."
At this, Nova and Raine vanished into a cloud of black smoke and fire, reappearing in the foyer of the infamous Dark Castle.
Tumblr media
"I need you to stay out of sight, my love." Nova said, turning to Raine and taking both of her hands into her own.
"You want me to hide? No way! I-I can help!" Raine protested like the bull headed stubborn-ess she was born to be.
"Raine, listen to me! You are far too important to me to be hurt in such a senseless fight. Especially since it is not your fight. Especially since it is mine." Nova dropped one of Raine's hands only to cup her smooth cheek. Her hands were tender, yet cold.
"I'm not leaving your side." Raine's tear-brimmed golden eyes gazed up into Nova's fiery crystal blue ones. How could Nova resist such a face as this? How could she refuse the eyes of her own heart?
"You stay as close to me as possible. I won't have you—"
BANG!!
Nova instinctively shoved Raine behind her and summoned her weapon as her sentence fell short at the bringing down of the heavy front doors.
"Hello, sis." A being in a leather black bodysuit stood where the smoke had cleared. He had a full face of makeup on, silky blonde hair, and literal yellow eyes. He was beautiful. So beautiful that Raine hardly noticed the two woman soldiers he had in tow; both wearing only a red vest, black boy-shorts, and black heeled calve boots.
(Mason Alexander Park as Desire; Netflix's "The Sandman")
"Ah, Desire. How's my favorite sibling doing?" Nova grinned, putting away her three headed staff.
"Nova?" Raine asked pointedly, wondering why the fuck she was letting her guard down.
"Worry not, my love. Desire is no threat. All he knows how to do is fuck. Fighting isn't his thing." Nova smirked, never breaking eye contact with her brother.
"At least I do it well." Desire let out a hearty, highly contagious laugh. "Fret not, Raine Jackson. I'm on your side."
"How do you know my name?" Raine squinted skeptically in Desire's direction.
"Oh, my dear. Do you really think you could enter into my land without me knowing so much as your name? As a matter of fact, I know everything about you. I'm an Endless, you see? There's nothing I don't know or can't find out."
"You've ruined my door, Desire. Cheers." Nova cut in sarcastically.
"You know I like to make an entrance, big sister. Besides, watching you shit bricks is absolutely the most delightful activity I've ever had the pleasure of partaking in." Desire chuckled, leading his soldiers over the ruin and further into the foyer. "Allow me."
Raine watched in weary awe as Desire lifted his perfectly manicured hand in unison with the heavy metal door he'd so effortlessly knocked down until it was back on the hinges, seemingly untouched.
"See? Good as new." He shrugged with a wry grin.
"If the others find out you're working with me, they will kill you. Especially your twin." Nova lifted her perfect chin like the divine being she was.
"Twin?" Raine asked, curiously.
"Yes, my twin. Despair. You know, I tried manipulating her mind... just to see if she were on the teeter. Turns out, she hates your fucking guts more than even Dream does. Go figure." Desire's attention turned to the more seraphic soul in the room. Raine took no offense. She understood all too well.
Tumblr media
"I'm honored." Nova smirked and shrugged. But Raine caught a glimpse of something else in her eyes. Something different.
"So, what's the plan, boss?" Desire bowed respectfully to Her Majesty, Queen Lucifer Nova Morningstar, awaiting instruction.
"Take me to them." Nova didn't hesitate.
"They'll kill you!" Raine protested right away.
"Worry not, my love." Nova reached for Raine, but Raine quickly took a step back.
"I'm tired of you telling me not to worry! I would never question your crown, my Queen, but you've been making some very questionable decisions! They're gonna kill you, Nova! Please don't leave me to live without you forever." Raine gulped down the lump in her throat, salty tears stinging the brim of her eyes.
"Hey. Calm yourself, darling." Nova grabbed Raine gently by the shoulders, slightly shaking her as if to snap her mind back into the present. "No one is going to kill me. I have a plan."
"She always does." Co-signed Desire with two sharp sassy snaps of his fingers. Raine looked up into Nova's eyes, over to Desire, then back again before giving a sharp nod, signifying her understanding of what needed to be done.
"Right! Now. Desire... take me to your siblings." Nova turned to him with a sexy ass confident posture and her head held high.
"As you wish, my Queen."
NOVA - world of fire
Tumblr media
"Nova!" Raine exclaimed with great relief as she rushed to the middle of the empty, cold room where Nova was being bound.
"Hello, my love." Nova smiled weakly, cracking the dried blood that clung to her chin.
"I'm gonna get you outta here." Raine immediately reached for Nova's bonds and began to struggle with them.
"It's no use, darling. The bonds are enchanted... only magic can release me." Her voice was far too calm.
"Please. What do I do?" Raine's eyes filled with overwhelmed and helpless tears.
"Hey, focus. You're alright, love. I'm assuming you didn't get here on your own accord?"
"I came with Maz, Rao, and three others." Raine wiped her tears.
"And where is Maz now?"
"Master!" Maz rushed in annoyingly on cue, tucking her gun into the leather holster on her voluptuous hips. Raine took a step back as Maz approached Nova, rushing right past her to examine Nova's bonds.
"It's the Sachema spell. Do you remember what I taught you?" Nova asked firmly.
"I-I can't." Maz stammered as she casted her gaze down to the floor with defeat.
"You can. Hey, eyes up. You can do this." Raine was smacked with a wave of jealousy at how gently Nova was treating Maz. No wonder why she's so in love with her.
Any being would be if they were able to get close enough.
"What if I hurt you?" Maz nearly whispered. This was a whole new entity from the one Raine experienced on the journey over. The interaction made Raine feel as though she weren't in the same room as them. How would it look if she reacted? Should she just remain silent and calm?
"Listen to me carefully, Maz of The Darkriver, you could not hurt me if you tried. You're far too gentle. This is not saying you are weak, because you are not. I'm only voicing my admiration." Nova spoke only with sweetness and in kind, yet a great anger had began bubbling up within Raine. Admittedly, she may not be as infuriated had she not gained the information she had previously gained from Maz, but she was infuriated nonetheless.
"That means more to me than you will ever imagine, Your Grace." Maz blushed. Raine gagged, clenching her fists so hard that the blood quickly rushed away from them, leaving them whiter than they’ve ever been.
"Now," Nova started, loud and stern, "show me what you got."
"Yes, Master." With a sure nod— far more sure than before— Maz widened her stance and tucked her chin slightly toward her chest. She raised both of her melanated hands, staggered, and began to chant.
Arrocenos kcanos rrathus incalio!
Lostranuth carvisos! Zakune!
Arrocenos kcanos rrathus incalio!
Lostranuth carvisos! Zakune!
Raine was quite literally pushed back by the gush of wind that found its way into the airtight room that surrounded them. Next thing she knew, Nova's arms and legs were freed and she laughed at them with great relief and pride.
"Well done, Maz! Well done, indeed!" Nova grabbed either side of Maz's face and grinned with appreciation. Maz smiled back and lifted her hand to touch Nova's just in time for Nova to drop her hands and make a beeline for Raine.
"My love. I'm so glad you're safe." Nova embraced Raine, squeezing tightly. Raine responded by squeezing her back.
"I've missed you, Nova. I thought I'd never see you again." Raine pulled back and leaned up, Nova meeting her in the middle with a passionate kiss.
"You... have got to be kidding me!" Maz cried out with anger. Flabbergasted, Nova turned toward her slowly and stared for a moment.
"Maz? Do you have something you would like to share?" Nova asked, impulsively wrapping a protective arm around Raine's waist.
"I brought us here! Me, not her! I freed you! Me, not her! Yet she gets all of your attention and all of your affection! I've been here for you— with you— for centuries, Mistress! When will you notice me!" Maz's pitch black eyes were watered like a rose garden in May.
"Make no mistake, Mazikeen. Remember who your Queen is. Remember who your Master is. You belong to me. You're my property. So put out of your mind every imagination you harbor that we can be together, because we can't. And if we could, we wouldn't. Understood?" Nova's authoritative tone set Raine absolutely on fire. Maz stood staring at them both with her eyes brimmed with tears before she yielded. She straightened her stance, clasped her hands in front of her, and lowered her head slightly.
"Understood, Master."
"Nova, we should go. We still have to find Rao and the others before Dream—"
"Before Dream what?" Raine's heart did a triple somersault on it's way to her stomach as she realized they were too late. She and Nova turned quickly towards the door— their only escape— to find Dream standing there with a beautiful, milk-chocolate skinned bald woman in tow.
"You got what you wanted, now let us go." Nova commanded in that delicious booming voice of hers.
"Did I get what I wanted, though, Lucifer? This was never about my sand. It was always about your throne."
"Now, why in the name of the gods and goddesses would you be interested in my throne? Don't you have your own?" Nova asked with a playful smile dancing on her lips.
"If I may," The gorgeous woman who arrived with Dream spoke up, raising her index finger ever so subtly toward the ceiling, "Your Highness." she bowed respectfully.
"Always a pleasure, Luci. It's been so long." Nova flashed a charming smile towards her, causing Raine to cock a curious eyebrow.
"The pleasure is mine, really." Luci swooned.
She swooned! What the fuck is going on here? Raine thought to herself, sharing an impatient glance with Maz.
"Ahem. You were saying, Luci?" Dream even seemed a bit annoyed.
"Forgive me, Dream. I believe we should allow her majesty to return to her home—"
"Traitor!" Dream protested right away.
"Dream, think of it! You're being unnecessarily emotional and it is impairing your ability to be logically strategic. Your brothers and sisters are on their way to the Land of Death right this moment to capture Lucifer. If they were to arrive there and find out that you're holding her here, yours and her head will both be on spikes." She concluded with a very satisfied look on her face— for she knew that she was right.
"Hmm." Dream considered Luci's words carefully.
"You should listen to her, you know. She is the one running your land, after all." Nova smirked coyly, poking playfully at Dream's metaphorical buttons.
"I run my land." Dream turned into anger quickly and his voice rattled the crypt they were standing in.
"There there, brother. No need to shout. You've always been so... sensitive." Nova prodded some more. Raine held her breath to avoid breathing in the air which was thickened with tension.
"I'll show you sensitive!" Dream roared, forming a ball of black sand in his palm.
"Dream, remember what you're doing this for." Luci quickly intervened, placing a gentle hand to his shoulder. Dream visibly relaxed and put away his weapon.
"You may go." Dream's tone was the calmest Raine has heard from him since the first time they met.
"Th-that's it? You're just gonna let us go?" Raine asked, perplexed.
"For now." He bowed his head slightly as he and Luci moved out of the doorway to let them pass.
"Come on. I've had enough of this wretched land." Nova grabbed Raine's hand tightly, cautiously moving through the doorway of her prior prison.
"Until next time, Oneiros."
"Until next time, indeed, sister."
And so, they were off. Walking out of the battle... and sprinting into the war.
