This account is dedicated to covering news about the theatrical adaptation of The Bad Guys by Dreamworks, its upcoming sequel, and the book series!
We'll also post memes & some fun facts in between.
when do you think they might announce the extra voice actors for the new characters in the sequel?
I thought of this as well, and I'm thinking maybe by the end of the year. The reason for this is because for the first movie, the cast was announced July 28, 2021, nine months before The Bad Guys released in theaters. If they do the same for the sequel, then we'll probably get the additional voice cast reveal sometime in November.
Also, they aren't exactly new characters, more like characters taken from the books which they'll probably alter a bit. Like they did with Ellen/Diane.
-Mr. Wolf's father (Vinnie) had a carjacking syndicate & was abusive to his son due to his incompetence. He died at 44 years old of a heart attack, though that didn't affect Wolf much.
-Mr. Snake has trauma of garden rates because people in middle school always bullied him with those. That's how he met Wolf who saved him one day.
-Ellen (Diane) lost her parents when she was very young because people hunted down foxes for fun, seeing them as lying tricksters who don't deserve to live.
-Dr.Marmalade (in his alien form) eats people against him when he took over the city. He also turns every cute animal into a zombie. He even mind control Wolf to fight against his friends and "kills" Snake.
-After defeating Marmalade, the villain in the second arc of the books is even worse. The Dread Overlord: a horrifying demon centipede who wishes to destroy the entire multiverse. His text dialogue appears as if the page is stained in blood. He possesses Snake, kills Diane, and later corrupts her body into becoming one of his underlords alongside Mr.Shark & other members from Diane's team. There's also a crazy, sadistic coyote dentist.
We still don't know how the story ends because the final book releases this November. There is more, however, so check out the nightmare fuel of The Bad Guys (literature) on TV tropes.
I mean, am I wrong? The books get darker the more you progress.
Ps: This is in no way to bash Dreamworks' adaptation (I love it) it's just something I thought with this meme. I do hope with the sequel that they progress that way too.
I remember two years ago, when The Bad Guys was released in theaters, there was a special meeting with director Pierre Perifel where you could ask questions about the movie & other stuff like that. But I never got the chance to ask mine, or talk to him (we ran out of time) 馃様
