HAPPY NEW MCC SEASON!! I get off work RIGHT as the event starts, so I’ll miss the first ~10 minutes, but once I’m home I’m watching Pink Parrots! They may not be predicted to win, but they will have fun!

From T to S: I draw Tango has a blaze most of the time, I didn’t want to go fancy with his fire hair because I drew him at 2 am, lol. Early in my hermitcraft hyper fixation I saw someone draw Impulse as an imp with yellow horns and tail and that’s just what he looks like in my brain now. I drew Etho five different ways before deciding on making him an arctic fox. He also has Cleo’s life series skin’s arm and leg warmers and headband because I wanted to. Skizz angel fanon makes my brain go brrrrrrr and I can’t explain it any other way and I will not address the short shorts. I will say that I forgot to give him teeth and only just noticed, oops!

Literally 20 minutes after posting I went "wait, he HAS dogs, I could have drawn the dogs!" Fake fan, I guess.
Happy Hermit a Day May! Day 1: VintageBeef! I love Beef’s episodes and the dichotomy of his cozy farming life and the chaos of Big Salmon! I didn’t want to draw ALL his animals (especially since I’m drawing this one early, on April 26, and he may have more animals by the time this gets posted) so instead I’m imagining he has one prize chicken who has pristinely beautiful feathers or something.
Anyway, make sure to say hi to Coco when you visit Beef’s farm!
If you’re confused by the tweet part of this: I do these quicker drawings where I see a funny tweet or bit of text and it reminds me of a character, content creator, etc. Almost all of my Hermit a Day May drawings are going to be like this. It helps me fight art block, work on perfectionism, and helps inspire quick fun art.
Also, I get most of the tweets from various tumblr accounts that share funny tweets that pop up between all the fanart accounts I follow.
Also, does anyone want to see time-lapses of these drawings? I draw in procreate so I can just pop those out and post those.

Okay let me explain! (Below the cut)
So over on insta I follow this account that makes story games and they make these fashion ones where you build an outfit out of the options! So I picked an outfit and then numbered the hermits and asked my friends to pick random numbers and they randomly chose BDubs! So I drew him in an outfit that looks like his daughters dressed him! Honestly, it’s not a bad fit!
I have my next random outfit ready, so first person to give me a hermit gets to pick who’s getting dressed up next!

WELCOME TO HERMIT-A-DAY MAY 2024!
I'm thrilled to bring this challenge to you all for the second year in a row! Hermit-a-Day May is a challenge inspired by Hermitober, but with a twist: instead of theme prompts, we focus on a specific Hermit every day!
THE RULES:
1. Any type of fanwork is welcome so long as it features, or is otherwise inspired by, the Hermit of the day.
2. Tag #hermitaday to have your fanwork reblogged, or submit it directly to the blog (Please note that while I recognize the value of fanworks involving more mature themes, and they can certainly count toward challenge completion if you're keeping track for yourself, content on this blog will be kept "PG-13" so that all may enjoy.).
3. Fanworks for one Hermit posted after the day rolls over to another Hermit's day (per the US Central time zone) will be reblogged in a big queue in June.
4. I am not interested in seeing captions or tags in which you disparage your art/skills. We're all improving all the time. Be kind to yourselves.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE? To show love to every Hermit, from the most to least subscribed, from those who have been on the server from day one to those who only joined this season! And because challenges are fun! And because, this year, there's an extra dimension to the event: a fundraiser for Gamers Outreach, featuring art incentives by @rendiggitydog and @belmarzi.
GRAND TOTAL INCENTIVE: For every $150 we raise for Gamers Outreach, belmarzi will make 10 seconds' worth of animatic, featuring as many Hermits as she can fit into the time frame.

Today is for celebrating all of those who, while they may not be Hermits themselves, exist and entertain in proximity to them.
