hearing about a possible clause that could mean that newey wouldn't be able to work for a competitor until 2027

so not only do we have jos verstappen openly criticizing red bull's decision to keep horner as team principal, saying 'the team is in danger of being torn apart' because of it.

we also have helmut marko telling the press that 'i hope the drama will all be over as soon as possible. i was already thinking about leaving at the end of last year.' and it's since been rumoured that he might not even stay at red bull for the full 2024 season.

and you know if helmut leaves, then max probably isn't far behind. he's said that 'it is very important that he stays. i feel like if such an important pillar falls away... that it is not good for my situation as well.'

and if that wasn't enough now we have adrian newey, who's been with red bull since 2006, who has designed cars for them that have gone on to win six constructors' championships and seven drivers' championships. that man might decide to leave red bull because he feels 'unsettled' by the allegations against horner.

when you're at risk of losing not only your three time world champion but also the person that designed his car, then maybe it's time to admit you have a fucking problem, and that problem is christian horner.

to me, nico hulkenberg to kick sauber is an end of an era.

nico in haas gave us the adorable rivals to teammates storyline that netflix tried to create with kevin magnussen, two unproblematic blond hunks who care about their kids and not much else, and two absolute teammates who messed with the kids and the entire midfield to make a single point and are currently doing better than three whole teams - it’s the end of an era.
