Johnshi nation y’all are wrong about how yakuza and money in Japan works 😭 I’ve seen a post going around abt how Kenshi would be super rich and it’s just wrong sorry. Here’s some insight from a Japanese twt mutual of mine!

So yeah the yakuza aren’t cool and they’re not glamorous like western organized crime. He wouldn’t get any inheritance from his clan because either the accounts would be frozen by the government or simply illegal money that he can’t use. He wouldn’t be high roofile by any means and would live quite modestly.

Being a yakuza or involved in the lifestyle gets you socially shunned and people treat them more like street rats and thugs than cool mafia guys. If you are going to write about Kenshis yakuza past I suggest you do some research!

But yeah this is all in good faith lol!
