Happy Belated Birthday to me! 🥳🎉
I did my best to have this ready to post on the 7th [my actual Birthday], but it didn’t quite work out & I opted to let it go and just enjoy the day.🤷‍♀️
This is also sorta my super-late piece for Week 3 of “Winxsona Winter ‘22” …And I say ”sorta” because it’s not really what I originally had in mind for that! 😅
Suffice to say I would like to circle back & do a more “proper” Believix piece later, but I am still happy with how this turned out on its own. 🙂
As always, if you’re curious you can read more about the art and my process over on my DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/mysticsparklewings/art/Belated-Believix-Birthday-944521271

Winx - Charmix - Enchantix - Believix - Sophix or Lovix
For Believix, Sophix and Lovix are permanent level ups of Believix. Sophix and Lovix fairies can choose to go back to Believix if they are deemed unsuited for the role or give up their power permanently. There are only few exceptions to this rule. Believix fairies get their powers from how strong the people around them believe in magic. Sophix fairies unite humans and nature together. Sophix get their powers from both people’s beliefs and how well taken care of the plants are.
Lovix fairies are the protectors of people unlike Believix. Believix fairies can be seen as hall monitors and Lovix fairies are battlers. Lovix fairies are more regional fairies though and originate in colder parts of the world. They get their powers from the people and their well being.
Believix fairies can choose to stay in their different forms too. Speedix, Zoomix, and Tracix are forms of Believix but not level ups. If anyone else was a fairy, they would want to only use Speedix and travel around the town.

I was just thinking about Bloom’s wager against Nebula. I mean, she won and got the wizards that trial, and Morgana said she’d given up revenge, but…what if she’d lost? If Nebula had defeated her, would Bloom have kept her word? Would she have gone into Sibylla’s cave and taken the wizards to Nebula? A deal is a deal, after all, and Bloom made Nebula keep her end of the bargain. Would Bloom just have walked into the cave and told Sibylla that she had bet the wizards’ lives and lost, so she had to take them to Tir Na N’og to face whatever horrible punishment Nebula had dreamt up? Sibylla would have definitely not been happy about that, but we’ve seen that she doesn’t interfere, so maybe she’d have to give in and give Bloom the wizards. So then rustic fairies show up in the wizards’ cave and say they have to come to the throne room, and Bloom has to miserably explain that she has to take them to Nebula. How would they react? I imagine horror, anger, and fear. And Ogron would probably feel really guilty, since surrendering to the Winx was his plan, so this is only happening because of him. Gantlos would be scared out of his mind for Duman, because he’s so sick and can’t face whatever Nebula’s planning. But they don’t have any magic, and Ogron said he was willing to abide by the Winx’s judgement when he surrendered, so they don’t really have a choice. So Bloom just has to Zoomix them to Tir Na N’og, and Nebula’s there waiting with warrior fairies, who probably grab the wizards as soon as they see them, and Bloom just has to stand there helplessly watching, because she made a deal, and she’s bound to keep her word. Nebula would probably gloat about having the Fairy of the Dragon Flame as her errand-girl, and Bloom would have to stop herself just attacking, because she won’t win a fight against these odds, so she just stands on the beach and watches Nebula drag the wizards away to do things she doesn’t even want to think about to them.
But! Maybe, later on, after she’s gone back to the other Winx, feeling guilty as hell, Tecna points out that she agreed to take the wizards to Nebula. She didn’t say anything about making sure they stayed in her grasp. So, realising she’s now free from the terms of the deal, Bloom rushes back to Tir Na N’og with the Winx, and they transform and burst into the throne room, action-hero style. And Nebula’s furious that they’ve interrupted the wizards’ punishment, but Bloom just attacks, and the Winx win the fight, because they’re the Winx and no way are they leaving the wizards here. Maybe Roxy even manages to get through to Morgana, appealing to her conscience over what she’s doing. Either way, the wizards are rescued and Bloom spends like an hour apologising while she heals everything Nebula did to them, and Sibylla probably gives her a lecture about betting people’s lives, because that is such a bad idea, and things could have turned out far worse than they did, and then everyone just passes out and sleeps for at least a day, because they’ve all had such a day that they just can’t face anything else for a minimum of twenty-four hours.

I remember around this time 8 years ago, I had something of a hyperfixation on Winx Club. Now I feel it coming back for reasons I can't explain. I used to watch those transformation compilations all the time. now, some thoughts I have are:
what was even the point of Speedix, Zoomix, etc?
Sirenix has my favorite transformation song, but my least favorite designs. Sirenix was so ugly 💀
I will never forget that Sky cheated on Diaspro with Bloom and got away with it 💀
The Trix are like the Team Rocket of Winx Club because they keep coming back

Continuing with my Fairy Wei Wuxian concept is the style of his Believix, Sophix and Lovix and also the Wings for Speedix, Zoomix and Tracix.
Special thanks again to @an81angel on Deviantart. I used her bases to make my lineart. Without her work, I would have been really frustrated as I don't have the equipment to draw on a computer. That is also why Wei Wuxian is a woman in my concept art. ^^'
Thanks to enchantedflower over on Deviantart, she made her wings and resources available. I used them to make the Speedix, Zoomix and Tracix wings.

Can you rank all Winx transformations?
Winx transformations ranked!
Enchantix - My all time favorite! The big wings, the song, the hair ... Enchantix is such a vibe and it can never be topped
Winx - You never forget your first love. <3 The song is superior
Dreamix - I love it. They look so grown up (as they should)! (the song is catchy)
Onyrix - they all look like movie stars on a red carpet. Iconic (the song is not that original, but I’ll allow it)
Charmix - cute but ... not much of a change, right? Just the OG with a charm and a bag (lame song)
Believix (Zoomix/Speedix/Tracix) - I don't dig the costumes. To me, only Flora's seems fairy-like. Nope, don't like it. (love the song, tho)
Harmonix - what’s with the skirts? impractical, much? (the song is gooooood)
Sophix - lovely, with the flowers. Not ugly, but not good (lame song)
Sirenix - not enough mermaid-like. hat’s up with the hair? Just ... Why? (but the song smashes!)
Lovix - winter fashion (I don't see the love part - and what about the song???)
Butterflix - cute. Unfortunately it’s basically the same dress in different colors. I hate the little dance at the end (lame song)
Bloomix - Nope. Aisha’s the only good one (song so and so)
Mythix - I just don't like the animated style (sorry not sorry - song bah)
Tynix - What's up with the hair?! This whole subplot of the Mini Worlds is just not for me (lame song, bad design)
Cosmix - No. (bad song)

oh my your Lovix is beautiful 💖 What have you planned for the 3 pairs of wings ?
Ok so I’ve thought a lot about these guys and they were super difficult for a while because I just,, wasn’t sure really lol
BUT! I have eventually decided I am going to stick with the theme that because Believix in my thing is a result of magical fae from all over Earth collaborating together, the wings are going to be that too instead of being from different subsets of magic.
Disclaimer for ideas here: I have talked to a few people I know who are Aborignal ( which is such a large blanket I know but I have spoken to a few who go by that term and specifically one indigenous person of the Torres Island Strait Islands) as well as a very kind person whom I don’t personally know who is Aboriginal and just wanted to share their thoughts, but I am simply a white person from the US and if I am told by other indigenous peoples belonging to these groups that they think this isn’t ok, LET ME KNOW. I’m doing my best and do what I can to educate myself but that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna fuck up.
SO, for Tracix, the peoples that will later be called the Aboriginal Peoples of Australia made these. I’m basing this off the fact that they have such a rich oral history with so much information and accuracy, with stories leading all the way back to the Pleistocene era even. This knowledge and way of recounting history with such specific details allowed them to craft an ability they gave physical form to in the way of wings that allowed for others to access this ability and if they already have an ability similar to this, it gives them a huge boost too.
Speedix was made by The Kalenjin peoples of Kenya. They’re some of the best runners on Earth, and they wanted to find a way to allow others to appreciate their own abilities thanks to their culture and lifestyle. The best they could do for others who don’t live the way they do is give them a speed boost since something like changing a beings entire physiology to match the adaptions they have as a result of their very active lifestyle didn’t seem like a great idea to them lol
And Zoomix was made by the Irish people. This is based off the fact that I’m Scots-Irish with most of that being of Irish ancestry from my birth dad and I think that the continued resilience of appreciation for “old Paganism” despite the Brit’s best attempts to destroy any traces of it is good and badass lol. More detailed too since I know more about this history too and am less scared of fucking up by totally misrepresenting something and/or saying something completely ignorant.
Basically my idea is that The Picts started experimenting with runes and symbols as a way to try and bolster new abilities, and the Irish continued to build on that after the Picts were gone. These attempts can be seen in the carvings of rock and man made set ups utilizing the land. Eventually they were able to specialize a form of magic that allowed for teleportation as a result of this work, concentrating this magic on the items, making it flow and swirl through the reliefs and the carvings or bounce between the markers they’ve set up. This is a bit heavier and more difficult to manage than the abilities of the other 2 wings as it involves physically moving a whole being with one’s own abilities and the aid of outside sources i.e. the symbols and physical aids. The best way they could find to remedy this in a way that allowed for everyone to have a chance to use it was to inscribe the same swirls, symbols, and patterns into the wings themselves. It takes a lot more magic and concentration to use this ability too than the others. Part of why this magic operates so differently from the other 2 is also because things like runes and symbols are typically utilized more by witches than fae, and it was a bit of a collaborative effort between the two groups to try and find a way to do this, so it utilizes what could be classified as dark magic practices (drawing from the magic and energy of the surroundings of a being) to transition into a more light magic based ability (calling upon the power of one’s individual magical core to finish the task)
Also peep me drawing from some Ancient Aliens style bullshit here with the “these old markings surely are sign of an Alien Transporter and this big circle of rocks marked the landing pad for their flying machine” but with magical beings
YEAH THOUGH! I’ll make a post eventually with the designs of the wings now that I have an actual background laid out for them:)

Can you talk about transformations in your rewrite?
Hi, thanks for the ask.
So the way Fae transformation works is as following:
As said before: Fae have numerous transformations, which aren’t even properly explored to this day. A new one can be found in a matter of moments, which means nobody really knows what is the final stage of Faes cycle. However there is a form that is regarded as more powerful than any other yet witnessed - the Nymph. With each transformation strengthening Faes spells in different ways and in some cases giving access to completely new ones.
The wings change with each transformation, to allow the Fae better access to whatever the task is. The outfits need to be designed by the Fae themself or by someone else and it needs to be drawn on bark of an oak tree and than enchanted. The bark will disperse and will be engraved in memory of the Faes magic. Therefore whenever the Fae transforms, whatever was drawn on the oak bark will appear on the Fae. If this is not done, the wings will make holes in the clothing the Fae is wearing while transformed.
So let me give you a run down of ‘first’ six, the Coitiantas, first three transformations and three specialized transformations:
The first ‘basic’ transformation, after which a Fae is considered to be fully-fledged.
Breithix - or as it is commonly refered to ‘True birth of a Fae’, the first transformation, utilizing the powers, which are already in the Fae, depending on the ancestry and Realm, and expanding on them. This transformation happens firstly, when the Fae is somewhere between 10 and 17 years of age. The transformations last 10 minutes first, but as the Fae perfects Breithix, they can last up to 2 hours, after which a Fae needs a break and something sweet to eat.
Charmix - Breithix, but with a power up. After Fae overcomes a great personal difficulty, such as a strong fear or a certain weakness holding them back. This gives the Fae a small brooch or pin, which endes up giving the Fae a power up, making their powers twice as strong, when charmix is used. The power up lasts up to 30 minutes, but drains the Fae much faster and that, the power AND transformation will end. It can be used through out all the other forms.
Enchantix - the first ‘real’ transformation. In order for a fae to earn Enchantix, they must rescue someone from their homeworld and show great sacrifice in doing so. If the Fae is succesful, the power up achieved will truly be grand. Compared to Breithix, Enchantix is thrice as strong in power, gives the Fae new spells and Fae dust, a dust from the wings capable of breaking powerful curses, and the Fae is given a new set of wings, that look similiar to the Breithix version, but tend to be larger and have much more strenght in them, allowing the Fae to move much faster. Enchantix transformations last 1 hour at first, but when mastered it lasts up to 12 hours.
Now let’s talk about three of many specialized transformations, they are not necessarily more powerful just different. They can be achieved only after Fae has already achieved Enchantix:
Believix - the power of will of the people. Believix is achieved, thanks to faith and trust of other people. It doesn’t have to be people who don’t believe in magic, but people who look at the individual Fae or Wing and go “I believe in you.” This sole thing gives the Fae power that easily compares to Enchantix and in some cases even excedes it. It has one main advantage over Enchantix: three usable power ups. Those are: Speedix (giving the Fae a big speed boost for an hour), Zoomix (allowing the Fae to teleport up to 1 000 km) and Tracix (showing the Fae a shard of the past). These power ups can be used only once every lunar cycle. It lasts anywhere from hour and a half to 4 hours.
Harmonix - a transformation developed by Linphean Fae, allowing them to not only protect the land and air, but also the water. It can be given to a Fae by one of powerful Linphean spirits. Harmonix gives the user webbed hands and feet and changes the wings into a form that is more suitable for water. The Fae is also given brand new arsenal of magic. The speed of Faes wings in air will be slower, in water however, they will go as fast as any Enchantix Fae in the air. While using this transformation, the Fae cannot harm anything that had not attacked them first. This transformation lasts as long as the Fae is in close proximity to water (100 metres).
Sirenix - a transformation developed by Fae of Andros with help of their water neightbours, Tritons. This transformation is considered dangerous, because it makes the user vulnerable to curses, meaning if some curses the source it will curse anyone who achieves Sirenix through it. But if the Fae manages to get Sirenix, they can be prepared for a whole new game changer. Sirenix is useless out of water, because the form exchanges the wings for a tail. This tail can be a tail of any fully marine animal. The Fae in this form is about as fast as Fae with Speedix transformation in the air. The Fae is also given a new arsenal of magic. The transformation lasts as long as the Fae stays in the sea.
This is just few out of many specialized Fae transformation. A fae can change between the forms, through a ritual, and can choose which spells to keep from previous transformation. The number of the spells is based of how strong the Fae is, but it is never more 20.
Again, thank you for asking. If you don’t understand something, don’t fear to ask.

Thoughts on the new transformations of season 4?
Believix was not a bad concept. The execution was lacking a little and I have to say that it didn’t make much sense in-verse because how many worlds are there where the inhabitants no longer believe in magic? We only know about Earth and even if there are others, they’re probably not a lot. So if Winx made Earth people believe in fairies again, that means that there is one less planet on which Believix can be earned. My point is that if there were a lot of fairies wishing to gain Believix, eventually they would run out of ways to do it because the planets where people don’t believe in magic would get less and less every time a fairy earned Believix until all the worlds started believing in magic which would make earning Believix impossible in the future. The greater impact their logic has on their universe has never been a concern of the writers because as we all know, Winx are the only ones that matter in the Winx universe but that is still a pretty major flaw in the concept of the transformation. Not to mention how super tailored to the circumstances it was. Wizards of the Black Circle want the Earth, to stop them Winx need Believix, Believix can be won on Earth because people no longer believe in magic there. Convenient as fuck. And the way Winx were going about convincing people that fairies exist was not ideal. Add to that how long it took them to earn Believix and then make people believe in them to gain more power, and the transformation didn’t get enough time to shine before it was replaced by the next ones.
The Tracix wings are absolutely fucking outrageous. How can wings help you see the past? They magically fly you in the past without actually leaving the present? It could have been cool if they’d explained how they worked. And a big minus here is that they didn’t use them at all. Only twice as far as I can recall and one of those times (in the Amazonian jungle) it didn’t really do shit for them. The wings were only relevant when the Wizards kidnapped Roxy which was the only reason they existed anyway. They didn’t even fit thematically with the other two sets of wings.
Zoomix could have been okay if they had not created a plot hole. I suppose the writers included Zoomix so that Winx could teleport to Amazonia, Sybila’s cave and then later to the Northern Pole. Oh, and to Tir Nan Og as well. But the wings became a problem when Winx were trapped by Nebula because they could have just used them to teleport away from there, yet it never occurred to them. It was really annoying. Otherwise, that set of wings was mostly okay.
The Speedix wings actually made the most sense out of all sets of wings and Winx made good use of them so I am not mad about them being included. It might have been better if that’d been the only pair of wings that came with Believix, however.
And a thing about all sets of wings that was annoying was when they would show how they changed them. I can’t decide what was worse - using only Bloom to show it or slogging through all of Winx changing their wings. Those parts were pretty dreadful.
The Sophix and Lovix transformations suffer from the opposite where there is no transformation at all. The Believix outfits and wings just change and it is underwhelming. They could have been a little more creative with that without turning it into a full-blown transformation even though that wouldn’t have bared down on the screen time too much since they only transformed once in Sophix and once in Lovix. But I guess that’s why they didn’t bother with creating actual sequences for these two subtransformations.
Sophix was fine. The outfits were fresh and the new powers they gained were decent. They even got to use them more than once. I think the writers undermined the very concept of Sophix a little by not taking into account what they stated in the beginning of that mini arc - that Sophix will make them one with nature. That was later implicitly contradicted and I was a little disappointed by that fact. Not to mention that Flora did not differ from the others in any way even though Sophix was a nature transformation and should have resonated even better with her than it did with the rest. But generally, it wasn’t half bad.
Lovix annoyed me because they didn’t really get to use it much. I am not sure if all of them even got to use the new magic the subtransformation granted them. Perhaps they did but it was so unmemorable that I can’t even remember it. I suppose a lot of my beef with Lovix stems from the fact that the whole mini arc that was supposed to be about them against Aurora (aka the Gift of Heart against her coldness which makes for a great thematical opposition) derailed pretty fast and they didn’t get to play up the Lovix card like they did with Sophix. Plus, I already mentioned that but the aesthetic of Lovix annoys me because it is supposed to be for a cold weather and even though the transformation obviously magically keeps the cold away it looks ridiculous with the tons of exposed skin it leaves while having ornamental fur details. It just grinds on my nerves unnecessarily. And I think it would have been refreshing to see a transformation that covered the whole body for a change instead of being more minimalistic. (I do realize later season have these (god knows Bloomix is too much) but in season four the only such thing we’d seen was Tecna’s body suit from her Magic Winx transformation.)

Winx Club Headcanons - Fairy Transformations
Believix
Like every other transformation after Exchantix, Believix is a branch of the Enchantix transformation, used in specific situations to complete a task.  Much like the name suggests, Believix is gained when a fairy allows another to believe in the power of magic.  This transformation was thought to have died out after the establishment of the Magix Dimension, after magic became apart of everyday life, and not seen as spiritual or religious.  This transformation has major flaws, as a fairy’s power is only as strong as the belief given to them, and fairies who obtain this transformation find that the have the magical strength of a Charmix fairy.  Believix also grants a fairy, additional wings (Zoomix, Speedix and Tracix) and this is mainly the reason fariries often look to gain Believix.
Harmonix
Harmonix is another subsidiary transformation of Enchantix, and is often used as a stepping stone for gaining Sirenix. This transformation allows a fairy to fight on land, underwater and in the air.  Much like Believix, a fairy’s power is stretched thin, as the form has to be ready to protect a fairy in any environment.  Harmonix often draws comparison with Charmix, as being useful on occasion, but ultimately is used to see if a fairy can move up the power scale.
Sirenix
Sirenix is often said to be the most useful of all the Exchantix branches, however, it is the most niche.  A fairy gains this transformation by completing three tasks – showing extraordinary empathy, doing a courageous deed and showing confidence in their decisions under pressure.  These tasks are extremely difficult to complete and due to this, it is extremely rare to find a Sirenix fairy.  Sirenix allows a fairies magic to work underwater and allows them access to the Infinate Ocean – the pocket dimension that connects all of Magix’s oceans (and perhaps beyond).  Scholars have argued that Sirenix is the key for fairies gaining Nymphdom, however, this thought has been contested, as not all Nymphs had gained the Sirenix transformation.  Much like Enchantix, this form is dangerous to achieve, with many fairies often delving into the ocean and never resurfacing.
