Fur farming is not good for the environment or human health and no amount of wishful thinking will make that so. The amount of antibiotics and meat used to raise the animals, the feces they produce, and the diseases they pass on to humans are immense but difficult to quantify, as the FDA doesn't oversee fur farms the way it does other agriculture. Neither do animal welfare laws apply to most fur farming operations, as they weren't written with those species in mind.
