A long time I didn't post drama reviews. 😁
Ok, actually I have a few drama reviews for sharing. I'm so excited, but still lazy to do that. 😂
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE!!! ALL COMMENTS ABOUT THE DRAMA/MOVIE ARE BASED ON MY PERSONAL OPINION ONLY. THIS POST WILL CONTENT SPOILER!! 😉😉😉😉
Here is my first drama review for 2023....
"HIDDEN LOVE"
1) Storyline
Hidden Love is about a girl crush journey.
Sang Zhi (FL) crush and later turns to fall in love with his brother's (Sang Yan) friend, Duan JiaXu (ML).
This story was focusing on their love story and how both of them care about each other.
To me, HL is a light romance drama with a straightforward story, no heavy or annoying conflict.
I saw some negative comments about this drama that a girl too young falls in love. So far as I understand from this drama, Sang Zhi only admires DJX when her 1st meets him. She then crush and fall in love with him when she is in high school.
2) Characters/ cast
SANG ZHI (FL)
SZ character is described as a stubborn girl, pampered by her family. Even though she is spoiled, she is not a weak girl and not a "princess" outside her house. She is a protective, innocent and cute girl. Her strong personality maybe make Duan JiaXu fall in love with her.
DUAN JIAXU (ML)
DJX is a kind young man. He was described as a central air-conditioning system by Sang Zhi. 😂
He always smiles and rarely to get angry.
One of Sang Yan's close friend.
JiaXu an obedient son and sacrifices his life to repay for his father's fault.
He is also someone who always keeps his pain and sorrow alone.
After falling in love with Sang Zhi, Duan JiaXu has his future plans and motivation to live happily with his lover.
SANG YAN
Sang Yan is Sang Zhi brother and also Duan JaiXu best friend.
He was described as a young man who lives with his own thoughts without being affected by people around him.
Even though he is always bickering with his lil sis, he actually loves and always protects Sang Zhi.
VALUE TO WATCH
Yes, I recommended to watch it.
To those who like watching romance drama with light conflict, this drama is worthy for you.
Maybe the storyline is a bit boring because it only focuses on the main lead love story.
Actually, I really love Duan JiaXu clothes style.
Every time I watch dramas, clothes always be my main focus. 🤣
If the main lead styles are not my cup of tea, it will ruin my mood to watch that. 😆
Hidden Love ost also nice to be in one of your playlist songs. You can search that songs on YouTube.
Hidden Love actually adapted from the Novel "Secretly, Secretly; But Unable to Hide it (偷偷藏不住) by Zhu Yi (竹已)"
You can search for it if interested in reading that novel. Actually, there are a little different scenes and storyline but still it didn't ruin this story. Maybe drama adaptations have rules and their limits, so they change it a little. This is not new, there are always have a little change like that in any drama adaptation from novel.

April 20th ~"I know of two friends who watch my favourite YouTube Channel and it sort of disgusts me"
Dear Diary, today I celebrated my friends birthday via a dinner with a lot of people. But something very strange happened, although other things were arranged for after the dinner, most people left soon after they were finished eating. For hidden context, there were three people unable to make it due to prior plans. I have no judgement towards them, this date was the only way to accommodate the most amount of people. I do find it very rude that all these people left early. This is a close friend's birthday and you can't give a couple hours of your time? And I know these people well, they were not doing anything afterwards and I mean anything. All because they're tired or didn't want it to be awkward. I had to be with my ex-best friend from primary school the whole night! And you know what I did? I buried the hatchet to finally get rid of said awkwardness. (Sidenote: Ex-best friend was due to us drifting apart as teenagers, they were always someone I respected. In fact, I see a lot of my self in them despite not talking much for a decade.) It's just pure selfishness plain and simple.
Thankfully, the people remained was a close-knit group. I had brought a bunch of gaming equipment and we only played one game, but I knew this would happen. These events have a similar plan. Dinner, fireworks, going to a house, playing a game, going to a nearby park, returning back and slowly everyone going home. Heavy amount of alcohol is featured, of which I and my primary school best friend do not participate in; do you get what I'm saying. Very personal conversations took place at this park and I knew that once we returned to the house the night had ended. I even walked back to pick up more alcohol for my friends. But alas, no one wore a coat apart from me and my primary school best friend. I had hoped that this time would be different but it wasn't. The birthday boy, who I was having the most beautiful conversation at the park, were left alone for a few minutes trying to return to our thread. But all that was left was fragments of much fuller conversations. All I felt was anger, not at him but at my hope getting the best of me again. And it's sad, they should have been prepared. It's sad that they can only be this open upon intoxication. It's sad that they can only feel this physically close with one another after inebriation. I enjoyed the night, it was much better than the last two times and the seeds of progress for the birthday boy's love life has been planted. But here I am, writing about it for no one but me.

Sorry for being dead, college has been rough. We're still working very hard to create more things for this blood. As of right now we have a 65 page Google doc of lore, multiple songs written down ready to be practiced, a small discord we will be updating/remaking when the Google doc is finished, multiple videos written out, and lore split into 5 different "eras" for the band planned years and years ahead of time. Costumes are still a work in progress of course because of college but as soon as we have costumes we'll be starting the pre era 1 stage or era 0 of getting people interested in the project through TikTok and some early YouTube stuff. The arg production will most likely have to wait until we have money for a camera and a bigger team but I am so thankful for the interest and help I've had so far with this project. Even if I am not as active as I would like to be on here right now there's some very exciting things coming and I'm so happy to have the support I have right now.
