Hua Cheng didn't realize their screams were a part of it until he quickly shot out of the bed, looking around for Xie Lian. "Gege!" They yell, still stuck in a nightmare that. . well, that genuinely happened. Of course, they'd remember the darkest moment of their undead life, and Xie Lian is gone, making it even worse. "Your Highness! Where are you?" They quickly grab E-Ming and look for him. They may have been a ghost fire the first time, but now they are a Supreme! They will save Xie Lian when they failed. . back then and when they failed to protect him months ago. They are terrified, but they aren't sloppy. They stick into the shadows, looking at every spot they know he'd be before realizing. . .wait. . .it's night. His apartment! Hua Cheng summons the butterflies to find Xie Lian's apartment and to see if he's there. "Gege." They whisper, wiping his eyes, trying to shake the horrible past from his head until one of them reports back to him. Knowing he's there, they quickly run toward the apartment. They see what window,m so it's a matter of fiddling with the window and. . .there! Hua Cheng can now slip in, looking over the sleeping Xie Lian and ensuring he's injury-free and breathing. They look so long but at this moment, they feel extremely old.
