like makin them all pretty and stuff

he really makes sure that you're feeding them well too

There were days he couldn’t stay away. Days when he woke up, and the pain of the past few months and years came circling back. A whirlwind would bring him to the Killiseum with Stormbreaker in hand, and he’d be fighting, taking down whatever was in his path without a second thought. It was better, this way. At least he could get these feelings out without actually having to feel them. Replacement was easier. Anger was easier.

The day went on, and he was on his last battle. This one, like the last, would be easy. Quick, he knew. And then he could go open the bar, and hopefully find a few people who would be willing to keep him company for the night. Thor thought all of this, of course, until he felt Mjolnir; felt it flying past his cheek and into the hand of... “Jane?!” He exclaimed, stepping forward into the light, bewilderment in his eyes.

There were few people he missed more than Jane Foster. Few people who, if given the chance, he would’ve dropped quite a lot for. But that was then, and this was now, and she was holding Mjolnir? “Jane Foster?! Odin’s beard, what are you doing here? And with... My old cape?” Stormbreaker hung limply from his side, and for a moment, Thor forgot where he was. Forgot that they were, technically, in competition against each other. And if she had Mjolnir...

She was new to her position as "Thor" and sometimes in donning the cape and hammer, the responsibilities and knowledge that came with them could cloud her mind. The way he said her name...."Thor?" Yes, that's who it was. Thor. Thor the Odinson. The original.

Memories began to flood her mind. They'd known each other. They'd....loved, each other. Lips parting, she took in a gasp as all the feelings flooded her mind and body once again. But the weight of Mjolnir was not lost on her, this was neither the time, nor the place. They had a job to do. Both of them. She no longer wanted to hurt him, seeing him as no threat at all. But they at least had to put on a show. Smiling, she let go of the hammer, sending it flying away from the both of them. It would be back soon, and Thor would know from where it was coming. There was plenty of time to dodge.

For the time being, a little hand to hand combat could be fun.
