Yoonmi’s Relationships with BTS
(updated as of february 2024) (mentions of hangouts are all indicating before the members’ enlistments)
Tumblr media
JIN (Kim Seokjin)
Tumblr media
Since Yoonmi had become an adult, Seokjin had taken to treating her like an equal and rarely using his “oppa” card, which is a stark difference from when she was younger. Yes, she still goes to him for advice, and he is the one who still helps her with adult matters such as bills and taxes and lifestyle, but he also becomes a friend that she can mess around with like she’s with other friends around her age. In his mind, she still is a baby, but he understands that she’s matured, wants to be seen as more mature, and that she’d still see him as a parental figure no matter how old she gets. He likes to think this is her finally acting out since she’s always been a good kid.
Jinmi in ARMYs’ eyes: They enjoy witnessing how Seokjin always “cries” about how she’s grown so much. The shift in their dynamic was over the pandemic, and suddenly everyone could see that Yoonmi was more comfortably roughhousing with Seokjin, and he was responding more like he would to Jungkook rather than his previous shrugging off and fond smiles. Seeing them become more like similarly-aged friends really made ARMY realize how she had grown.
Iconic Moment: It was revealed through the BTS documentary on Disney+ that Yoonmi was the one who initially started cutting his hair off. She was given the shears by her stylist, and she was so hesitant while Jin just kept encouraging her with “How will I know if I look okay bald unless you start?”. So she cut his hair, only getting distracted a small bit when Yoongi and Jungkook came, then listened attentively as their stylist carefully explained what to do with the electric razor. She, with assistance from the stylist, evened out Seokjin’s shave until she stepped back, staring at him. “It looks good.” “Of course it does, look who you’re talking to”. The video cuts there, but the next of her seen in that context has teary eyes and is gripping tightly onto Yoongi’s hand.
SUGA (Min Yoongi)
Tumblr media
Yoongi is still very much her dad, that never changed The only thing that changed over the years is how they both actually address the fact that Yoongi is her father figure, second only to her adoptive father, and on level with her adoptive brother. Even the other members sometimes address Yoongi ad “Yoonmi’s dad” at this point. Yoongi and Yoonmi remained each other’s silent comfort person, the person who takes their side and hears them out first, and the person who they can go to when they feel overwhelmed. He’s there to hold her hand when things go wrong, and she’s there to give him a hug when things don’t go as planned.
2yoon in ARMYs’ eyes: Yoongi and Yoonmi is everyone’s comfort duo. When they’re together, there’s an air of warmth and calm, so everyone feels better after a long day when they watch 2yoon content. They find Yoongi’s care and the way Yoonmi looks up to him to the point of taking after him endearing, especially knowing Yoongi is the one Yoonmi never fought after their mysterious conflict in 2018.
Iconic Moment: Yoonmi went to all three days of the D-Day Tour finale. She, of course, did her feature on ‘Seven’ for Jungkook. During the ment where he kept them with him on stage, he thanked and praised Jungkook for ‘Burn It’ and ‘Seven’ before turning to Yoonmi. “And our princess, my daughter. She has something coming out this month and surprisingly didn’t want to spoil it—” “Surprisingly?” “— so she had a special request. As you all know, our Miya did the demo vocals of one of my previous mixtapes. I got to perform this song with our vocal line, but never with our princess. Until today.” So they performed ‘So Far Away,’ and the proud look on Yoongi’s face by the end as he looked at her made every ARMY feel like their troubles all disappeared.
J-HOPE (Jung Hoseok)
Tumblr media
Hoseok and Yoonmi treat each other like their own personal powerbanks. They could be tired, but, once they’ve spent time together, their energy levels go up. Yoonmi says that’s why she gravitates towards Hobi when drinking, because she’s usually a sleepy drunk. They like to escape together, as well, hanging out in the practice room or either of their studios where they experiment with different styles, genres, or just mess around to fuel their creativity. Of course, Hobi never stopped seeing her as his little prodigy, teaching her old school hiphop and openstyle dancing and watching her proudly while they learned new styles together.
Homi in ARMYs’ eyes: The two sunshines, that’s what they’re known as. Hobi brings in bright energy while Yoonmi makes everyone smile, making them everyone’s favorite duo to turn to when they want to laugh and get a pick-me-up. ARMYs love seeing Hobi treat Yoonmi like the little sister he’s never had but always wanted, too! Everyone knows both Hobi and his noona see Yoonmi as their youngest sibling at this point, which is why she even got Yoonmi to sing in her wedding reception.
Iconic Moment: Yoonmi vlogged her Lollapalooza experience, so some behind the scenes were uncovered there. Hoseok got Yoonmi to rehearse Chicken Noodle Soup with him while they were waiting for Becky, and the two ended up having so much fun that the band kept vamping the song, making it longer so the two could enjoy their mini cypher. “Oh, Yoona, you haven’t forgotten your basics!” “I have the best teacher!”
RM (Kim Namjoon)
Tumblr media
It used to be just Namjoon sitting to absorb and analyze the way Yoonmi’s mind works when they’re together. Now, she does the same to him, curious about his inner thoughts. They spend a lot of their time together having deeper conversations, whether it be about life, work, music, or just their thoughts. On the other side of things, they’re both clumsy dorks who geek out over their recent reads or watches together, actively showing interest in each other’s preferences because Namjoon wants to stay as someone who understands her almost best and Yoonmi wants to stay someone he can be proud of. Especially with Yoonmi, she wants to make her leader proud of her.
Joonmi in ARMYs’ eyes: Though ARMY initially thought they were awkward, that image disappeared. ARMYs see Joonmi and see a little sister looking to her older brother for validation, and him happily giving her that validation. ARMYs also enjoy the fact that these two together can go from 0 to 100 real quick, on any end of the meter. From just having lunch they can either go to talking about their plans for the future to being stuck in a laughing fit on the floor over a plastic utensil they’ve broken.
Iconic Moment: During the live with just the five of them, Yoonmi was a lot quieter compared to how she usually is. Namjoon kept glancing at her and tapping her leg to get her to talk. At some point, he bent to whisper something to her, then, when Taehyung opened his mouth, Namjoon quickly pushed a piece of pizza there. In his efforts to do so, he knocked over three cups. He looked at Yoonmi, who was now laughing, and he just nodded at himself in satisfaction.
JIMIN (Park Jimin)
Tumblr media
Yoonmi has not changed in Jimin’s eyes in the way that she’s still his youngest Busan Baby. Whenever she tells him she’s an adult now, he always pouts at her and goes on a spiel about how she’ll still be his baby even when they’re in their 80s and beyond that. He invites her over to his apartment a lot, or he just stays at her’s (partly because Jungkook and her niece are usually there as well) because he genuinely enjoys her company and being able to sit with her. He also takes every opportunity he can get to give her princess treatment because he believes she should always be treated like Bangtan’s princess (even though she’s trying to shake off the delicate image that had somehow formed over the years)
Minmi in ARMYs’ eyes: Minmi are both very very affectionate, with their habit of holding onto each other unknowingly. ARMYs have so many compilations of them sharing the tightest hugs or exchanging the softest forehead kisses, naming them the mythical siblings due to the way they treat each other. Everyone also loves how these two speak either in pout or in giggles, no in between!
Iconic Moment: Nobody thought Yoonmi would be able to make it to Jimin’s fanmeet due to her solo promotions, but, while he was going to take a photo with the attendees, the “staff” who came on stage removed her padded long coat, revealing Yoonmi. ARMY started cheering while Jimin’s jaw dropped, then he rushed up to hug her really tight. “Yah, how long have you been here?” “The past hour? I had this in my schedule, oppa. You didn’t think I would miss your documentary screening, did you?” “You’re really something else, aegi.”
V (Kim Taehyung)
Tumblr media
Taehyung and Yoonmi both matured a lot more visible than the other members, so their dynamic shifted a little bit from overly-doting big brother and complying baby sister to a pair of siblings more along a similar wavelength. While they’re still quite playful and he still dotes on her, their age gap isn’t as prominent in their actions. It’s clear that they both see how each other have grown, and it’s something they like to just observe when they’re with each other. They’re proud of each other’s growth, but more proud of how they managed to keep their friendship completely intact despite both of them changing over the years.
Taemi in ARMYs’ eyes: Taehyung and Yoonmi started posting more content together, which everyone enjoyed since they used to keep their off-screen friendship mostly to themselves. Now ARMYs enjoy seeing their posts when they meet up to go to jazz clubs, have coffee, or just do anything together. ARMYs also love seeing how they shifted from over-excitable kids to more mature youths who support and take care of each other.
Iconic Moment: An ARMY saw them in a jazz club together. Allegedly, there were a few cocktails on the table, and the two of them seemed to be exchanging stories the entire time they were there, never once letting there be dead air. Apparently Tae also tried to play the saxophone and let out a really out of tune note, but Yoonmi just cheered him on. The ARMY was able to take a picture with them, saying that they were both happy to see her yet politely asked to not post anything while they were still there. She promised, and the two were said to have continued their night of stories and jazz music.
JUNGKOOK (Jeon Jungkook)
Tumblr media
If anything can describe these two, it’s the phrase ‘ride or die’. Yoonmi and Jungkook would drop everything if the other called them and said they were in need. Almost thirteen years of friendship and growing up alongside each other really molded them into being two peas in a pod, especially since they both hit their twenties. They would see each other every other day and talk to each other at least once a day. Jungkook had gotten less overprotective (especially now that she has a boyfriend), and he has increased his role as the main mythbuster of Yoonmi’s delicate image. Yet, even with all their bickering and squabbling, they remain each other’s support systems and hypemen, connected in a way where they can work with and around each other without even needing to talk. Their friendship is further solidified by their matching tattoos (aside from the group’s matching 7 tatts) which they successfully kept between themselves for over a year. (The only people who saw these right after they got them were Mark and Namjoon. The tannies found out by accident)
Jungmi in ARMYs’ eyes: Ever since Bangtan first debuted, Jungkook and Yoonmi’s friendship has been something so many people, whether ARMY or not, have admired and set as a standard or wish for in their own best friends. ARMYs specifically love how they’re not afraid to roughhouse or bite back at each other but still have each other’s backs no matter what. Also Jungkook biased ARMY all have Yoonmi as a bias wrecker or vice verse because of the amount of content these two have and the amount of time they spend together. Everyone already knows when either of them get married Yoonmi would be Jungkook’s best man or Jungkook would be her Maid of Honor.
Iconic Moment: Jungkook hosted one of his early morning Weverse lives from her kitchen, cooking himself something to eat. At around four AM, the sound of a door opening and closing made him look to the side where he froze and smiled brightly. You hear her go, “Oppa, again? When did you get in my house?” and he just, “Three hours ago. Ramen?” “I’ll just grab some water and go back to sleep. Don’t wake Yoonseol.” And everyone was surprised. It was common knowledge that they went to each other’s apartments often, but they just revealed Jungkook goes to her place just whenever he wants because either he knows the code or has his fingerprint in her lock.

Tumblr media
yoonmi is met with an unfortunate ex-family related situation
It wasn’t getting out of hand.
No, there was no way Yoonmi would admit to that. Her members believed in her, so she didn’t want to disappoint them. She promised her teachers that she would stay on top of her work, so she would always give work of the best quality so she could graduate on time next February, and she promised Haechan she’d graduate with him. She committed herself to the different staff and companies she was working with, so she wouldn’t slack off on her responsibilities. People on the internet were coming after her again for suddenly accepting acting gigs, so she was going to prove to them her abilities and talent.
Therefore, she would not admit that she was being overworked.
She’d been eating well enough by her standards, thus deciding to skip out on taking any of her supplements. She always forgot about them anyway. Besides, the members, though more lenient now, still somehow managed her eating and sleeping well enough.
She’d be fine. She just had to focus on the task at hand, which was acting calm in the face of going back to the same place she originally grew up in.
England.
Given she was going to London instead of Newcastle, but she knew her biological parents had based their companies in London. They had shown up and made a mess of her life before, which thankfully led to her being accepted into a big loving family with a mom, a dad, another older brother, and two younger siblings.
However, it took a long time for her to be relatively okay after that. If the whole situation a few months prior said anything, her thoughts and reactions had been completely affected by what her birth givers did to her.
It’s totally normal for her to be scared that they would show up, right? But, if they did show up, she had to keep it together. She shouldn’t show them any weakness.
“Hey,” Jungkook nudged her while pulling her hands from her thighs and placing his hoodie-covered arm under her hands instead. Her nails were digging into her skin, and she didn’t notice. She didn’t even notice Jungkook was awake. “We’re going to have some free time to explore, alright? Let’s get you de-stressed before the concert, then we can have fun with ARMY.”
She pursed her lips, “It’s not that….”
“I know,” he whispered to keep from the others overhearing just in case they were awake, “you’re worried about seeing them, aren’t you?”
“They turned my life to shit multiple times, they can do it again.”
Jungkook’s sigh didn’t escape her ears, especially since he moved to make her head rest on his shoulder. It was only then when she realized she was pressing her fingers quite hard into his sleeve which, despite having a thick cover, probably still hurt at least a little bit.
A quiet apology flew past her lips while she curled her arms into herself. Jungkook took it upon himself to put Iron Man 2 on for them. He plugged their earphones into the dual adaptor and placed one in her ear and the other in her hand.
“We won’t let them,” Jungkook reassured her. “You’ve got us backing you, your siblings and new family, your friends, and the law.”
“It’s not like I have a restraining order,” she shrugged, “I just got emancipated then adopted.”
“Well, one wrong breath in your direction,” Jungkook began, “and Yoongi hyung, Yoonsung hyung, and Chan are gonna file a restraining order.”
She laughed and let herself relax into her seat. Her trio of overprotective big brothers, as Jungkook not so fondly called them, were a force not to be reckoned with if they were all angry for the same reason, and she took comfort in the fact that they had her back.
A poke in her dimple brought her out of her thoughts, making her turn to meet eyes with a satisfied Jungkook. She laughed, knowing he took pleasure in making her forget about the people who she thought were her family so long ago. He just turned back to the screen in front of them and hoped for the best.
Tumblr media
The concert went by smoothly until they got off the stage and finished taking their pictures for the day. Manager Sejin approached her with a serious look on his face, pulling her and Namjoon to the side.
“You’re not going to like this,” he shows them his phone with her biological mother’s sports training center website on the screen.
It wasn’t just that. Right on the home screen, almost taking up the full phone screen, it was a picture of Yoonmi on stage just earlier. It was an impressive feat, having someone both take and edit the photo within an hour at maximum (considering it was her in the first set’s outfit), but she couldn’t find it in herself to be impressed.
What was this?
For years, she had just wanted to make her birthgiver and sperm donor proud of her, but they never approved because her methods were “not in line with the family image” or something stupid like that. The very same argument they used as the final deciding factor in disowning her seemed to not matter to them as half of them used her picture—in the profession they disapproved of—for promotional material.
Apparently that wasn’t it because, as soon as Sejin switched tabs, it was her picture on the front page of his motor-sport business’s website.
Yoonmi let out an emotionless laugh, making her leader and manager look at her in worry. “This has to be a joke.”
“Hyung,” Namjoon addressed the manager, “have you reached out to legal? We have to get these pictures down. No way are we associating with those people.”
“They’re working on filing a lawsuit as we speak. It helps that they illegally brought in a proffesional camera not permitted by the company despite the clear guidelines saying not to.”
Namjoon nodded in approval before turning to Yoonmi. She had gone silent, staring off into space as she processed what was happening. He quietly asked manager Sejin to bring the rest of the boys back to the hotel and not tell them about what was going on while he spoke to Yoonmi alone.
“Hey,” he rested a hand on her head for a bit before letting it slide down until he could gently pat her cheek, “you okay, Yoon-ah? Legal’s working on it, don’t worry.”
“I can’t believe they’re doing this,” she muttered, looking down. “They fought so viciously to get me to quit being an idol, and now they’re using my status as one in order to promote their companies? After they disowned me?”
Namjoon brought her into a hug, rubbing her shoulder. She didn’t return the hug. She didn’t move at all.
“Neither of their companies even relate to my job, they’re being so stupid about this,” her voice was on the verge of breaking, and Namjoon could feel her tears starting to soak into his shirt, “This is so stupid.”
Knowing she defaulted to English when in distress, Namjoon spoke in the foreign tongue as well. “Do you want to talk about it?”
There was a shake of her head.
“Do you want to be alone?”
A nod.
“Do you want me to stay with you?”
For a moment, Namjoon didn’t get a response, which worried him greatly. He made the slightest move indicating he would step out of the hug, but her hands went up to grip his shirt while she nodded.
With a sigh of relief, he gently maneuvered her so she was tucked under his arm on his side and led her over to one of the spare green rooms. He looked at one of the staff members standing by the door while he stepped in with her.
“Could you grab us our stuff, please?”
The staff member nodded her head. “I’ll order you kids some food, too.”
With a nod of thanks, he shut the door behind her then brought Yoonmi over to the couch. He sat against the armrest and the backboard of the couch with his legs up, letting Yoonmi settle in front of him and hide her face in his shirt. All he could do for her while she didn’t talk was be there for her. He was her guardian, her leader, and her brother. He needed to be a pillar she could depend on.
He couldn’t let her feel the anger rising in him.
Yoonmi’s tears were silent. As much as she wanted to thrash around and throw a tantrum despite being in her late teens already, she didn’t want to give the satisfaction to her biological parents of breaking her to that degree once again.
It had been three years since they cut her off, and not once did they try to contact her. She was happy. There was no feeling of restraint anymore because her big brother and her grandmother still loved her, she had a new family to call her own, the brothers she found in her group mates had a stronger bond than ever and were set to renew their contracts in a few weeks, hell she even made friends and got a boyfriend who genuinely cared for her.
So why?
Why would they come back into her life at this moment? Why would they want to use her like that? Especially how they made it clear that being an idol was not proper? She thought she was finally free from them, but here they were. It felt like they were starting a new vicious cycle of tearing her down right when she was reaching peak happiness.
The vibrations from Namjoon’s phone distracted her from her thoughts. He must have had so many people looking for him given the fact they were headed to Amsterdam soon and he needed to approve a few final details for Waste It On Me, but he stayed there with her, not even looking at his phone. All his attention was on her and just being there for her.
Yoonmi pressed her head closer to his chest, listening to the thumps of his heart. It was steady and constant, something she needed.
“Thank you for staying with me,” she muttered, hands reaching up to wipe the tear stains off her face.
Her sudden words after a little over thirty minutes of silence jolted Namjoon. “Of course. I’m always going to be here for you, okay?”
She sat up, looking at her leader with an expression he could only describe as guilt and hurt mixed together. He fixed himself, swinging his legs over her head with a sound effect from his mouth to try and lighten her mood. A smile broke onto her face, which was a win for him.
“There’s that smile,” he placed his hand on her head, lightly rubbing her hair with her thumb before taking it back. “Do you want to talk about it now?”
“There’s nothing much I can say,” she shrugged. “I’m hurt, they’re being hypocritical, and I don’t want to be associated with them. Is the legal team…?
Namjoon nodded, “They’re handling it as we speak.”
“Good,” she nodded, relaxing a little. “By any chance, can we see if they’re using Yoonsung oppa’s company in any similar way? I mean, his company did blow up last year.”
The leader nodded once again before tapping the side of her leg. “Of course. Anything else I can do to make you feel better?”
“Just be here?”
He smiled and opened his arms for a hug, which she gladly gave, cuddling into her leader. He was never the most affectionate of her members, far from it, but he was probably the most comfortable and reassuring member to hug objectively speaking.
“Don’t worry, Princess,” Namjoon’s rare use of that specific nickname made her smile and sink further into the hug, “You’ve got me and the whole of Bangtan at your side. Those people have no idea what’s coming for them, and you’ll certainly be millions richer when this is all over.”
She actually let out a laugh at that. Namjoon stood up with a smile and held his hand out for her.
“Let’s go grab our stuff and our food so we can stop the others from worrying.”
The faint sound of Jimin and Taehyung yelling her and Namjoon’s names reached their ears.
They exchanged a look before Yoonmi spoke. “Too late.”

“Aegi, we’re here!”
The sound of her door opening excited Yoonmi, making her rush out to the front door. She jumped to hug Taehyung, their laughs resonating throughout her apartment. When she lifted her head from his shoulder, she saw the tall figure following after him.
“You didn’t forget about me, did you?”
“Forget my leader?” Yoonmi laughed and gave Namjoon a hug as well, “I could never.”
After releasing him from the hug, she took a step back and observed the two boys who stood with their hats and hoodies off their heads. It felt too unreal.
“I know I was there when you guys shaved your heads,” she tilted her head at them, “but it still feels like a filter.”
Taehyung smirked, posing his side profile, “We just look that good, don’t we?”
Namjoon smacked him on the head while she just laughed at them and led them over to the dining table. With matching fond smiles, the two boys watched as their little sister moved to a shelf near her tv which held a notepad.
Slowly, she went through a checklist (provided by her brother) of things they would need for their first entry. Once confirming they had everything, she smiled and placed her checklist down.
“You guys better stay warm,” she huffed while bringing over warm drinks for them, then proceeding to set the food she cooked for them on the table. “The cold is starting to get worse.”
“We’ll be fine,” Namjoon gently rested a hand on top of her head. She seemed to relax at the familiar show of affection from the leader. “You saw Jin hyung and Hobi thriving. Yoongi hyung is doing well, too. Rest assured, we’ll be just fine.”
“Hyung is right,” Taehyung pinched her cheek, “so you don’t need to worry about us. If anything, we’re all worried for you.”
“Hey,” Namjoon lightly elbowed Taehyung.
He raised his hands in surrender, “It’s true! We don’t want you to be on your own.”
Namjoon simply facepalmed before looking at Yoonmi defeatedly. “We may or may not have talked to a few people to make sure you aren’t always on your own.”
She raised her eyebrow at him questioningly, daring him to say more.
“Soobinie and the whole of TXT,” Taehyung listed on his fingers, “Your boyfriend, Yoonsung hyung and Channie, Hannah and Haechan, Minho hyung and the rest of SHINee, that’s about it.”
“Well,” Yoonmi lightly trailed off, “In that case, I think I’ll be fine. You guys apparently have me covered. It’ll just be a little bit lonelier, but I think I can do it.”
Namjoon smiled at her proudly. “That’s our princess. I love you, makdungie.”
“I love you, too,” she smiled at him. On Taehyung’s pout, she laughed. “I love you as well, oppa.”
“I love you way more, aegi,” Taehyung smiled at her. “Do you want to open the birthday gift I got you before the others get here?”

Tumblr media
Yoonmi looked at all the article headers that she had opened on the laptop. Every single one of them were criticizing her. Again. Why were they being so quick to judge just because she cried while performing? Why were they calling her rude for not smiling? Or for being more chic on stage? Isn’t that what they wanted? For years, they wanted her to be more intimidating for Bangtan’s image, but now they’re saying she’s rude because of it.
She laughed humorlessly. “Nothing ever pleases them.”
“Nothing ever pleases who?”
Yoonmi’s head whipped around, and she saw Namjoon enter her studio, manager Sejin’s figure walking away outside. She quickly minimized the windows on her screen and swiveled her chair to face her leader.
“The voices in my head,” she stated simply. “The tracks I’m working on aren’t fitting my standards right now. Why are you in here?”
Namjoon pulled over her stool and sat next to her. “I came to check on you. And I highly doubt that. I saw words on that screen and not a software. Is it the netizens again?”
“It’s fine,” she shrugged. “It’s not like it hasn’t happened before. You don’t have to worry about it, I know you’re busy.”
“I will worry about it because I’m your oppa, and I’m your leader,” he opened up the windows he saw her close and looked through the articles.
Leader for now.
She didn’t say those words out loud. Starting an unnecessary argument was the last thing she wanted. It had only been a month since she started talking to the other five boys again, so she didn’t want anything to get awkward. Still, though. It was a little weird having them dote on her again now that she was trying to make things go back to the way they were. But they were being extra careful. It was almost as if they were trying to lessen the blow for when it finally happened.
She didn’t understand, though. Why were they trying so hard when it should have been the other way around. She was childish, so they had every right to get mad at her. So why were they trying that hard.
“Why are you being nice to me?” The words left her mouth without a thought. Namjoon froze and sat back to look at her while she spoke. “I was irrational and childish. I overreacted and caused you guys problems, so why are you being so nice to me?”
She braced herself as Namjoon took a deep breath and turned his whole body to face her. This was it. He was going to scold her. She didn’t know if she was prepared, but she knew she deserved whatever scolding she was about to get.
“Yoonmi-ah,” he began, “You’re a smart kid, and you know how you reacted. But we can’t blame you for that. Two years ago, something happened to you that changed the way your mind and defense mechanisms work.”
“I know,” she nodded, a little unsure of where this was going, “but I saw a therapist. I’m better now.”
“I know you’re better,” his warm smile made Yoonmi confused, “but sometimes, things happen that can change the way you react to things. Despite you running away from them, you still loved them and trusted they’d open up to you, but that didn’t happen. From what I’m thinking, the whole situation we have might’ve reminded you of that. So you went into this new defense mechanism.”
She shook her head. That wasn’t possible. She was over it. She completely cut those people out of her life after they left her behind. There was no way that they could still have that effect on her, right? But, the more she thought about it, the more it made sense.
“I was scared you’d leave me behind like they did…” her voice trailed off. “So I lashed out.”
“Exactly. None of us blame you. It’s mostly normal you reacted the way you did, but you worked your way past it.”
She could barely process Namjoon’s words. She was too busy thinking about how those two people still left such a huge scar in her life even when they were gone. They probably didn’t blink an eye when they disowned her, but she was still damaged.
“It’s not fair,” her voice barely came out as a whisper. “They’re gone, but why do they still have this effect on me?”
“Yoonmi,” Namjoon held his arms out to her. She lightly placed her hand on his arm and leaned forward. She allowed him to pull her into a hug, the first she had gotten from him in four months. She felt warmth running down her cheeks while she hid her face in his neck. “I’ve got you. We’ve got you, alright? There are scars that run deeper than you think, but you don’t have to worry about them, okay? You’ll always have the people around you to help you.”
“It’s not fair.” She was overwhelmed by the realization and by her leader’s affection. “It’s not fair. How can they come out of it unscathed while I’m left here broken because of them.”
“They’re heartless, Yoonmi,” he reassured her. “You don’t need them. We’re right here, okay?”
“I’m broken,” The realization hit her like a ton of bricks all at once. She felt her heart drop. “I’m still broken. I don’t want to be broken!”
“No, it’s okay,” Namjoon brought her into his lap and rocked her, the same way he did when she first broke down in front of him seven years ago. “You can build yourself back up stronger, and all seven of us will be with you every step of the way.”
She didn’t know if it was just because of her realization or because of how Namjoon was being supportive of her, but she cried even more. She choked a little bit, her grip on Namjoon’s sleeves tightening. They sat there, Namjoon silently murmuring reassurances to her and rubbing her back to calm her down.
“Thank you,” she told him, “for everything. And for handling me well.”
“Anytime, makdungie,” he told her. “Shouldn’t you be saying this to the others, too?”
She nodded. “I will. I’d just prefer to do so when I’m not in this state.”
Namjoon just hummed and continued rhythmically patting her back. She felt one of his hands disappear. She suspected he was texting the PR team about the articles. It was either that or messaging the groupchat with the boys about her being in this state. She didn’t know which she wanted less.
“Oppa,” she began just as a silence was settling over them, “why do we have to disband?”
“You answer me this,” he curved the question back to her. “Why shouldn’t we disband.”
She knew she should feel hurt by that question, but there was genuine curiosity in Namjoon’s voice. He was asking objectively.
“Because we started this together,” she stated simply. “We all wanted to follow our dreams, and we worked together to get where we are. We work well together, too. And it’s not like we can’t do solo things on the side. I’ve had two solo promotions so far, but I’m still here.”
“You’re overworked,” Namjoon reasoned.
“I don’t care.” Yoonmi was firm with her words. “I enjoy working with you guys. I have rest days. I love working with you guys, and we all have a good work dynamic. Besides, it doesn’t matter if we fade from the public as long as we’re together, right?”
Namjoon hummed and leaned back to meet her eyes. She stared back at him with determination. She was going to convince Namjoon as much as she could.
“It’s not worth disbanding, oppa,” she told him as earnestly as she could. “You guys promised me you’d all be with me until the end. I hope you know that that means both as my family and as Bangtan, the idol group. I never knew how important the number seven was to me until I understood how much I need all seven of you to stay with me in everything we’ll experience. Each one of us have seven people by our side.”
Namjoon smiled at her and lightly pushed her off of his lap. “Well said, kiddo. Come on, we need to get some food in you. I know you haven’t been eating properly the past few months.”
She just nodded. At least he didn’t brush her off. Maybe he would think about her points and change his mind. The only thing she could do for now was try and get the boys to see her side.
A meeting was called just a few days later. Yoonmi found herself nervously bouncing her leg, hand tightly gripping Taehyung’s while they waited for Namjoon to start.
The leader walked into the room just then, Hoseok on his trail. “Sorry about that. We were just clarifying things for Hoseok’s mixtape.”
Oh. Right. Hoseok’s solo project. It was going to be released in a little over a month. She nearly forgot that she had helped him on a track while they were on tour in the previous year.
Was this it? Was this the announcement? Should she have prepared herself better for the end of their journey as an idol group? At least she knew that they’d stick by each other even if they end their contract, but was she ready for Bangtan to end? She felt Taehyung squeeze her hand as if telling her to stop. She looked up at him, and he shook his head.
She turned and accidentally made eye contact with Jungkook. He seemed to be trying to tell her not to worry, but the familiar air of the meeting room was unsettling. It reminded her of the very first meeting they had about the possibility of disbanding.
“Okay, I talked about this with each and every one of you alone.” Namjoon’s tone was hard to read. She couldn’t tell where this was going “I’ve gathered everyone’s opinions, and it seems like you’re all pretty final about your decisions.”
Yoonmi tightened her grip on Taehyung’s hand without thinking. She was right. This was it. She still hasn’t been able to talk to any of the other boys aside from Jimin and Namjoon about the whole situation, and she wasn’t even sure if she was able to convince them. Jimin, well, to her it felt like he already chose to stay as a group even before she tried to talk to him. That would make them four on each side, and she wasn’t sure if she convinced Namjoon…
“Come out with it, Namjoon,” Yoongi urged the leader. “There’s quite literally no use in making us wait.”
She was glad to know she wasn’t the only one anxious to hear it. In fact, she looked around the room. Jungkook was drumming his fingers on the table, Jimin had a hand resting on his face in worry. Hoseok’s eyes were darting around the room, and Seokjin was staring intently at the table. Taehyung was rubbing circles into the back of her hand. They were all waiting.
“We spent four months deliberating on this,” Namjoon continued, “and it seems everyone was able to actually find out what you want. The decision was unanimous.”
Yoonmi’s head snapped up. Unanimous? That would mean…
“Everyone thought the same thing?” Jungkook asked. When Namjoon nodded, she slowly looked around the room and turned to Namjoon.
“We’re continuing as Bangtan?” she asked, voice hopeful.
Namjoon gave her a warm smile. “Until the time is right, we’re staying as Bangtan.”
Yoonmi’s face slowly broke into a grin the more she understood that this wasn’t a dream or some sort of sick joke. She looked at everyone, and it looked like they were all relieved as well. She got up, pulling Taehyung along with her, and quickly went over to trap Namjoon in a hug. The leader wrapped his arms around her instinctively.
“Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
She felt Taehyung sandwich her from behind and laughed. She heard Jimin’s laughter join hers and felt more people join in on the hug. They were staying together.
“I told you, Yoonmi,” Namjoon ruffled her hair. “You’ll have all seven of us by your side for a long time. In all ways possible.”

Based on your latest post, could I request for a scenario of Yoonmi evidently “sharing Namjoon’s brain?” And Namjoon being a proud o/appa? 😅
suresies! 🥰 yoonmi is actually a really smart kid (that’s why she skipped a year and ended up in hannah’s batch in high school) she actually likes studying sooooo yeah 🤧
this is set back when namjoon was on problematic men, and he takes her as guest :3 italic convos are in english! hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Yoonmi sat at her desk while the cast bounced off of each other to try and get an answer to the question in front of them. Filming had gone by smoothly, and she had been able to answer most of the things thrown at them, but she was starting to think the cast didn’t like that. Namjoon would always encourage her to answer, though.
She glanced at Namjoon’s thinking face then looked down to write the riddle they were currently on onto the glass of her desk.
8+8=4
Almost absentmindedly, she drew a clock on the side of the equation and counted. She smiled before raising her hand.
“Miya,” she called out. “I have an answer!”
The cast looked at her in surprise, but Namjoon had a proud smile on his face.
“Are you sure?” one of the cast members asked her.
“Watch,” Namjoon told them as she walked up to the whiteboard. She wrote out the equation plus a few extra words.
8 o’clock + 8 hours = 4 o’clock
She then proceeded to draw a clock before speaking. “It’s a time based question. If you count eight hours from 8 o’clock, you’ll end up on 4.”
The cast looked slightly appalled that they couldn’t solve it themselves when they heard the staff signal that it was the right answer. Namjoon gave her a pat on the head as she walked past him back to her seat. The next riddle was flashed on screen.
There is a word in the English language in which the first two letters signify a male, the first three letters signify a female, the first four signify a great man, and the whole word, a great woman. What is the word?
Everyone groaned.
“Only two people can answer this,” one cast member began, “and they’re sitting on opposite ends of the room.”
Everyone turned to Namjoon and the other English speaker as they stared at the screen to think of words. No one noticed the way Yoonmi raised her hand until she quietly called out she had an answer.
“Is it heroine?” she asked. “He, then her, then hero, and heroine.”
The staff signaled her answer as correct, and the cast was once again in shock. Namjoon clapped for her, and she shyly slid down in her seat, making her leader chuckle and help straighten her back up.
“You’re doing great, princess,” he reassured her. “Just one more riddle left.”
“If the next one is Korean,” someone began, “I swear I’m getting it first.”
Yoonmi could feel some spite against her being both a kid and a girl and being able to answer the questions before anyone else. Her hand automatically went to play with her hair when the next riddle flashed on screen.
The number 8,549,176,320 is a unique number. What is so special about it?
Everyone immediately went into observation mode while trying to guess what it was. Someone guessed it as the number of views on the most viewed youtube video. Someone guessed it as the number of people on earth. Yoonmi quietly looked at the problem, head tilted while biting her lip. She tugged on Namjoon’s sleeve to whisper to him.
“I might be wrong,” she began, “but I think it has all of the single digit numbers arranged in the English alphabetical order.”
Namjoon looked back at the screen and realized she was right.
“Go, say it,” he told her. She shook her head.
“It’ll be weird if I get it again,” she told him. “I don’t want to seem like I’m taking this from the cast members.”
Namjoon shook his head before raising his hand. “We’ve got an answer!”
The cast immediately turned to Namjoon who explained it just as Yoonmi did. She watched with a satisfied smile while the other cast members hyped him up. The staff signaled him as correct, and they all cheered.
“Sorry, Miya,” someone told her, “but it looks like Rapmon was too fast for you this time.”
She shrugged, but Namjoon spoke up again.
“Actually,” he began, “she was the one who told me the answer. She just didn’t want to say it out loud because of you hyungs.”
Yoonmi’s eyes widened while she hit Namjoon’s arm and tried to pull him to sit down.
“She’s very smart, which is why she is always at the top of her class despite being busy,” Namjoon boasted. “She can speak four languages fluently and two more conversationally. She has a special way with words and is a music genius, but I think your prides might be hurt if she decided to show off how smart she is.”
“Oppa, stop,” she whispered frantically.
“No,” he placed a hand on her shoulder, “you are smart, and you deserve credit for that.”
She hid her face in her hair and her hands. “I’m telling on you to Yoongi oppa.”
“He’ll agree with me.”

HEY HOW ARE YOU! I just had this prompt idea where like during a fan interaction an army comes up to Yoonmi and tells her she's her inspiration and she even wishes to look like her and stuff, and mini tells her each person is unique (love yourself kinda advice) and comforts her insecurities. And yoongi or namjoon is really proud of her. Something like that you can add on. No pressure take your time! LOVE YOU!!!
I’M GREAT, THANK YOU 🥰 this is so cute aksjdhf but while we’re on this note, yoonmi’s the type to both preach self-love then constantly self-deprecate so namjoon kinda just no yoonmi no 🤧 anyway, hope you enjoy this! love you too hun 💖
Tumblr media
The fansign was going great. There were a lot of jokes thrown around, a lot of presents, a lot of interesting ARMYs, and so far no sasaengs. Aside from the occasional people who skip over her or look at her with disdain, it was probably a perfect fansign.
Yoonmi was patiently waiting for the last ARMY to reach her spot while waving at the fansites trying to get her attention. She even saw her longest fansite who had been there since 2014.
“Unnie,” a girl slid over in front of Yoonmi, calling her attention, “it’s nice to see you again.”
Yoonmi gasped upon recognizing the little girl in front of her. “Hayoung-ah! You were here last week, too!”
“You remembered me!” the 14-year-old girl’s eyes lit up.
“Of course I did!” Yoonmi smiled before pulling her left arm up. “Look! I’m keeping the bracelet on for the rest of promotions, like promised.”
“Thank you so much,” the younger girl smiled as Yoonmi took her hand with her own free one while she signed the album. “It means so much, especially because you’re my role model?”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah!” Hayoung’s grin was bright as she looked at the idol. “I’m growing my hair out so I can style it like you! I’m working out now, too, using your video as reference. I want to get double eyelid surgery to be like you as well! I want to be as perfect as you are.”
“Oh no,” Yoonmi looked up at the younger girl standing in front of her. “But your eyes are lovely, I wouldn’t change them for anything! And, as honored as I am, I’m not perfect. But I am me, so that’s the best I’ll get. Just like you. You’ll reach your best by being proud of yourself and taking care of yourself.”
The staff behind Yoonmi told the girl that the time limit was almost up. Yoonmi quickly scribbled something onto the album and closed it before handing it to the younger girl and squeezing her hand.
“Don’t change yourself to be like someone else, Hayoungie,” Yoonmi advised the younger girl. “Only do things you know will bring out the best in yourself and make you feel like the best version of yourself.”
The younger girl smiled and bowed at Yoonmi in thanks. Yoonmi bowed back and smiled as she left, officially ending the line of ARMYs. She got up and stood next to Namjoon to watch Jungkook and Jimin who were talking up front.
“That girl’s going to go home wiser,” Namjoon chuckled. “Looks like she’s talking to her friends about how you called her eyes lovely.”
“That’s because they are,” Yoonmi sighed. “I don’t see why people try to change just to look more like other people when they look best as themselves.”
“So, you don’t want her to get that double-eyelid surgery?”
“Not if it’s to look like me,” she shrugged. “If she were doing it because it makes her feel comfortable and more herself, then I’m all for it. Self-love, am I right?”
“Something you need to learn yourself,” Namjoon chuckled and patted her head, “but I’m proud of you.”
Yoonmi smiled at those words. Maybe she should keep up the self-love talk. As long as it meant hearing those words.

WARNING: the pandemic?
this generally talks about part of what yoonmi felt bc of the pandemic
prompt: “If you don’t hug me right now I think I might fall apart.”
Tumblr media
“Hey, kiddo,” Namjoon called as he entered her studio. “Time for dinner.”
Yoonmi didn’t turn around, though. She had her headphones in, and, from the look of her back, she was very focused. Namjoon smiled fondly at her. Some things never change. He moved closer and placed a hand on her shoulder, making her jump in surprise. What Namjoon didn’t expect was for how she automatically raised her hands to wipe at her eyes. His fond smile turned into a worried frown.
“Are you okay?” He asked her while turning her chair around. She looked at Namjoon, tears still continuously flowing down her cheeks.
“If you don’t hug me right now I think I might fall apart.”
He didn’t need to be told twice. Namjoon gently pulled her into his arms and walked her over to the couch on the side of the room. Yoonmi buried her head in Namjoon’s chest in an attempt to hold her tears back. Namjoon pulled up her hood and lightly patted her head to try and calm her.
“What happened?”
“I’m sorry,” she apologized immediately. “I know I said I wouldn’t do it anymore, but I let my thoughts get the better of me.”
“It’s okay,” Namjoon reassured her while tightening his hold on her. “It’s naturally going to be challenging, so don’t be so hard on yourself. Mind telling me what it was about, this time?”
They fell silent for a bit. Namjoon patiently waited. If she wanted to tell him, she would. He continued to gently pat her head while she calmed herself as best as she could. After a few minutes, she spoke.
“It’s really petty,” she muttered. “We just worked so hard for everything for ARMYs, and we can’t show them anything properly.”
“It’s not petty. I’m frustrated about it, too.”
“Performing is all I know,” she realized. “I grew up performing for an audience, but I can’t do that now. I knew how important the audience is for a performance, but I only fully processed it now. Oppa, I just want to meet with ARMY again. It’s petty considering the situation of the world right now, and I hate that I’m being like this when people are going through bigger things.”
Namjoon shook his head. It had been a while since the members stopped mentioning the stage or performing live to each other, so it must have taken a heavier toll on Yoonmi since she couldn’t let it out to anyone.
“Everyone has their own struggles,” he told her. “To each their own, you know? This isn’t petty, especially when it affects you like this, and not when we can’t control anything in the situation. All I can tell you now is that I’m sure ARMYs are supporting us through the screens, and I know we can help them feel better somehow by talking to them on vlive and releasing new songs and content. We may not see or hear them, but we’ve got them the same way they’ve got us.”
Namjoon felt her nod and settle her head against his shoulder. It had been a while since she had been this affectionate with him. He made a mental note to spend more time with the younger girl, especially now that they could actually do so properly. He checked the clock on the shelf and frowned. As much as he wanted to stay and keep Yoonmi huddled up like that, they needed to go home.
“How long is this pandemic going to last?”
“I don’t know, Yoon-ah,” Namjoon sighed before tapping her knees. “Time to get up, though. Yoonsung hyung is coming over for dinner.”

angst 1 and 4 with rm(yoonmi)?
more joonmi! thanks for requesting luv 🥰 i find it interesting how many joon and yoonmi requests i get ajshdhf anyway, hope you enjoy!
WARNING: overworking and exhaustion(?)
prompts: “I can’t do anything right.”, “Why are you lying to me?”
Tumblr media
“We have to talk about this sometime soon.”
“There’s nothing to talk about!”
Namjoon sighed. He needed to get through to Yoonmi. He also needed to get through the blanket she had covering her entire body, but that was a different matter. He could still talk to her through it, anyway.
“Yoonmi-ah,” Namjoon began, “We barely see you around the dorms anymore with your promotions and filming. You’re sick, but you won’t let us bring you to a doctor. Your sad tells are there. I know because I’ve literally been with you since your first day in the company. Why are you lying to me?”
Namjoon expected Yoonmi to either become momentarily silent or maybe sink further into her bed. What he didn’t expect was her letting out a groan of frustration and throwing the blanket off of her head.
“Are you kidding me? I can’t even shake you off of my tail? I can’t do anything right!”
Namjoon looked at the sixteen-year-old girl worriedly. This was probably the first time since the graduation incident that she ever blew up. He placed a hand on her knee.
“Calm down,” he told her and gently guided her to lean back against her pillows. “You need to rest. I don’t know what’s going on in your little head, but I know you’re exhausted.”
Yoonmi complied with a frown on her face. “I hate it. I made so many mistakes on stage today. I didn’t have much energy when we filmed for unnies. I even accidentally knocked Sejin oppa’s drink over in the car. Oppa, nothing is going well. I should have never done this solo thing.”
“No, that’s where we draw the line,” Namjoon put on a serious face and his leader voice. “Yoonmi, the solo debut is the best opportunity for you to show off your talent and different colors from your image jn Bangtan. And you’re sick. It’s okay to make mistakes. To be honest, I would have had you put your promotions on halt.”
“You don’t do that when the other oppas are sick.”
“That’s because they don’t have as much work as you. You’re literally working on two shows, your own promotions, and our next album preparations.”
Yoonmi slouched into her pillows and cuddled her hamster plushie to herself. When he put it that way, it did sound like she was doing way too much.
Namjoon smiled at her. Her frown was turning into a pout, that meant she was lessening her overthinking.
“Alright,” Namjoon ruffled her hair, “you are going to stay here and rest, and Seokjin hyung will bring you in some food. I’m sending in Jungkook because he’s been whining about not seeing you for the past two weeks.”
Yoonmi couldn’t help the giggle that escaped her lips. Okay, maybe she was overworking herself, and that probably fueled her to be irritable. So maybe she did need to rest.
“It’s been a quiet two weeks,” Yoonmi joked.
“For you,” Namjoon shook his head while heading out the door. “We’re going to the doctor’s place tomorrow with Sejin hyung!”
“Noted!”
Yoonmi looked over to her journal filled with all of the schedules she had. She flipped it open to tomorrow’s page and saw a sticky note placed on top of it with the words “REST DAY” written on it in Namjoon’s handwriting. She smiled and closed her eyes. Not even a minute later, Jungkook came rushing in and going off about all the pictures he and Yoongi took back in Europe.

7/13 angst please! sorry if i didnt clarify that before
no problem luv! thanks for the request 🥰 here’s some more joonmi! except it doesn’t end in fluff aksjhdfh im sorryyyyyyy but here you go
italics indicate english conversations’
prompts: “Don’t you ever do that again!” “I’m worried about you.”
Tumblr media
Yoonmi settled right by the Han river where she watched the water flow by. She always enjoyed watching water flow past all the rocks. It was like a reminder to just push past whatever was going on and to keep moving forward. She scoffed to herself at that thought.
“How am I supposed to move forward if they keep bringing that up?”
She kicked one of the rocks outside of the water but tripped and landed right on the ground. She heard someone call her name. She turned to the side and saw Namjoon running towards her with a worried expression. She just frowned and hugged her legs.
“Are you okay?” he asked her the moment he got there.
She didn’t answer. Namjoon knelt next to her and checked over her arms and legs just to make sure she wasn’t injured or hurt. She didn’t say anything, which she was pretty sure was the reason Namjoon looked a little disappointed. She hated it. He doesn’t have the right to be disappointed. Not after the conversation the group just had.
“Why are you here?” She asked him.
Namjoon surprisingly winced at her tone of voice. He’d seen her mad a total of two times in the seven years he’d known her before that month, but never did she sound as cold and mad as she did just then.
“I’m worried about you,” he told her.
“Oh, so now you’re worried about me? Not back in the conference room when I felt scared? Not when I could see you guys, my literal life, falling apart in front of me?”
Namjoon stared at her. She was speaking in English. That meant her emotions were just running free without a filter.
“You ran away, and you didn’t even have your phone or your bag on you.”
“That’s not the point!” Yoonmi looked Namjoon in the eye and glared. “You can’t just decide to do something like that! You’re our leader, and the most you say about this is we’ll think about it? We shouldn’t have to think about it! No is the only answer!”
“Yoonmi, listen to me!” Namjoon nearly yelled at her. “That’s not important right now.”
“Not important?!”
“Yoonmi, your safety is important! You ran away without having anything that could help us contact you. We called Chan and Yoonsung hyung. We called Haechan. We even called Onew hyung and Daehwi. We were all terrified. Don’t you ever do that again!”
“I don’t care,” Yoonmi stared back at him while shaking her head. “I don’t.”
Yoonmi stood up and slowly stepped backwards, away from Namjoon. She took a deep breath.
“I’m staying at Yoonsung oppa’s today,” she said. “I need some time to just— ugh. If anyone really really needs me, send Jungkook oppa. Or Taehyung oppa. Anyone that’s on my side. If not, I’ll be back in time for rehearsals in a few days.”
With that, she turned around and walked away from Namjoon. He watched her figure get smaller and further away before taking out his phone to message Jungkook. He’d at least get her some clothes plus her phone and wallet.

If you're still doing the prompts can I get angst 8 with Yoonmi and Joon please
of course, luv 🥰 my requests are always open for both the prompt list or literally anything tbh aksjdhfj :3 feel free to send in more requests even after this! for now, here’s some joonmi content!
prompt: “Is that blood?” “…..No?”
Tumblr media
Yoonmi quietly shut the door behind her and checked her phone for the time. 2:36 in the morning. She prayed that none of her members would be awake. She really didn’t need to be scolded right now.
“You’re back.”
Yoonmi jumped at the voice. She looked towards their kitchen where Namjoon leaned against the doorframe with a glass of water in one hand and a bottle of banana milk on the other.
“Where have you been?” he asked her while tossing her the bottle and tilting his head towards the couch. She caught the bottle and bit her lip before following him over.
“I went to grab some honey butter chips from the convenience store,” she told him. Namjoon raised an eyebrow at her.
“We just restocked on everyone’s favorite snacks yesterday, though.”
“Is it that bad that I was out at this time? You guys do this, too!”
“I know, Yoonmi,” Namjoon noted, “but that doesn’t mean I don’t scold the others either. Also, as much as I hate to say this, it’s worse for you because you’re a girl. You could have gotten hurt or kidnapped.”
Yoonmi’s eyes drifted down to her knees and her palms unconsciously. The scrapes she had suddenly felt a thousand times bigger than they really were. Namjoon’s eyes followed her gaze, and he frowned.
“Is that blood?”
“.....No?”
“Yoon-ah,” he said warningly.
“Fine,” Yoonmi gave in and fumbled with the ends of her sweater. “I was practicing my tricks at the park.”
“Your gymnastics tricks?”
Yoonmi winced a little at Namjoon’s incredulous voice and nodded. She knew that the older members had banned her from practicing flips and jumps in the park because there were no mats, but she couldn’t risk being caught in the company’s cctv.
“Come here,” he took her by the hand and pulled her towards the bathroom. “That’s two rules, Yoonmi. What were you thinking? You know we had these rules to keep everyone safe.”
“I just wanted to stay in top condition,” she sighed. “I had to skip out on my gymnastics sessions the past two weeks.”
Namjoon sighed as he set her gently on the counter beside the sink and brought the first aid kit to clean up her wounds.
“I know you want to stay in top condition,” he began her, “so I understand staying out late. Jungkooki and Jimin do it. Yoongi hyung, too. But why didn’t you go to the studio? Or ask someone to come with you?”
“I didn’t want you guys to worry about me or my sleeping patterns again.”
Namjoon shook his head. “We’re always going to worry. It’s because we care for you.”
They were taken up by silence while Namjoon continued to clean up her wounds and place ointment on them. Yoonmi felt the guilt grow heavier in her heart. When Namjoon finished putting bandaids on her, she opened her arms. Namjoon, understanding what that meant, walked into them and enveloped her in a hug.
“I’m sorry, oppa,” she apologized. “I’ll make sure to at least tell you guys next time I do this.”
Knowing Namjoon couldn’t prevent her from ever staying out late again, he nodded. “Just make sure it isn’t any time too soon, okay?”
Yoonmi laughed and gave Namjoon a kiss on the cheek, “Okay.”
Through the door, she could hear the door to her and Jungkook’s shared room open while he called for Namjoon. He gently got her off the sink and pushed her out the door.
“Go get your roommate and reassure him you’re still alive. Sleep in, tomorrow. Schedules don’t start till after lunch, anyway.”
“Thanks, oppa!”
