My take with the season 1 conflict is that painting Ayumu’s jealousy purely as a romantic thing does a big disservice to her character. For me the key thing about it is that she’s so so afraid. She’s so anxious and it’s hit a critical point. She clings to Yu’s side because Yu doesn’t change. Yu is always there for her! But when this whole idol thing starts Yu starts changing - she goes from floating about in life to having a dream and this once steady anchor starts floating around and god damn Ayumu is terrified! I could talk on and on about this but all the visual symbolism in Dream With You really screams that Ayumu wants time to stop and for now to be forever but it’s 1am !!!

But yes you’re right about everything … Setsuna and Ayumu are actually alike in that way….. 🥹🥹🥹

Maybe this is just me being autistic or something, but I do not understand how movie/TV adaptations of games are so hard to make. The original media is right there??? Just use it as a basis for your script?????? Add and subtract where necessary for the medium while still keeping it the same story at heart????????? “But it’d be boring if it was a whole tv show” ok then why is it not boring as a game???????????? Why do people replay games then???????????????????? I don’t get it.

Bobby’s violent outburst during PE was heavily driven by jealousy. He wanted to be a good guy but…but why is Johnny so focused on that twink dickhead instead of him, huh??

I think it’s neat that Lunella has a chipped tooth and it’s just part of her character design and it’s consistently drawn in the same spot and all

It’s minor and inconsequential and that’s what I like about it!! People can have little flaws in their appearance and that’s natural and fine, it’s fun to see a character be allowed to have an ‘imperfect’ smile with it never being associated with anything negative (especially when there’s a present idea in parts of the world that everyone’s smile needs to be uniform and perfect with things like braces)

It just makes me so happy from a character design standpoint to see a common attribute real people have that might not be considered perfection on such a great character in a way that is never drawn attention to! It’s so inconsequential but it’s part of her design and you can’t remove that! There it is! Without it it somehow wouldn’t be Her yknow?? Give me more characters with minor imperfections that give them so much charm and character and realism please

ohh my goshh isn’t it so embarrassing when you and bestie come from different walks of life with differing personalities and beliefs and life styles and even hair but bestie actually just ends up reminding you of somebody from home (the “somebody from” part is silent) so you give him that guy’s name but that’s also your name so instead of remaining very different people with an invisible brick wall between you for the whole war you just ended up running straight through that fucking barrier and carving out a home in an unfamiliar place by the intimate act of calling somebody by your given name which kinda implies there was no boundary there in the first place ?? hate when that happens 😂😂
