There was this listing on Y!Japan with only the torso photo as the thumbnail. But I recognized the Unoss body and when I clicked through it looked like ... every part was there? Including the head with unmodded lashes and eyebrows?!
So I dithered over making a bid for a while, then saw other people were bidding on it so figured everyone else realized it was a full Unoss too and I wouldn't have a chance of winning. But I put a max bid thru Buyee last night and woke up this morning to find I won the auction at $240 😱
Now I'm sweating like I sure hope my scrutiny of the listing photos is correct and I'm not gonna get a rattling box of loose parts missing a critical joint or anything. Fingers crossed. I really want an unmodded Unoss!
Also is that black stuff on one thigh gonna turn out to be magic-eraser-able, or am I gonna have to gird myself for ... ugh ... sanding

THIS is what good web design looks like.
Just look at all those services and features! The layout is also well organized and places everything in a neat order that would make sense to anyone who visited this web page.
On top of that, the Japanese Yahoo! also managed to keep the classic Yahoo! logo for the past 20+ years. (We don't talk about that terribly minimalized modern logo.)
There's also a version of the website for kids that contains a lot of interesting information on different subjects, as well as a few games. (One of which is a challenging typing game.)
It really goes to show that the people working at Yahoo! International have no idea of what good web design is. They're just out of touch.

YES OMG. I went to an anime convention a few months ago and saw SO many cheap bootlegs being sold as if they were authentic items. Being an experienced collector, I have a good eye for bootlegs so it didn't affect me, but I couldn't help but think of all the people who were duped into buying a crappy $30 bootleg that they could have gotten on Aliexpress for like $2.
#the most egregious case was this one person selling these beautiful light-up displays of fake bonsai trees with figures perched on them#they were going for well over $100 each#but when I actually looked at the figures it was obvious they were cheap bootlegs that probably cost the seller less than $10#the light up displays were probably from AliExpress or Temu as well#it just pissed me off because finding authentic figures for relatively cheap is very possible on sites like Yahoo Auctions Japan#but it's not as easy and cheap to use a proxy as it is to just order directly through a site like Temu#so guess what people choose to do instead#dropshipping#anti dropshipping#anime#figure collecting

NEWS: A Princess Knight themed teddy bear by toy company Gotouchi has just been released in Japan. Unfortunately, this is only available at the Tezuka store in Takarazuka. There's no news as to if this will be for sale on the online Tezuka shop in the future.

So I did some digging regarding Keitai Renwa being the originally planned unit song. I couldn’t find anything all that reliable in English so I looked for stuff in Japanese (I’m still in the process of learning so my translation might be off).
I found multiple people stating this on forums but I couldn’t find a source. One person did say they got the info from a giant thread but didn’t link it. This same person has replied to multiple posts asking the same question. Allegedly there was a production article or an unofficial insider report that said the reason because of the romantic element. Keitai Renwa was rejected as the unit song because it was about love and that wasn’t allowed or something. The user also claimed that PinocchioP said he was told almost nothing about the story of WxS when he was asked to write the unit song.
This doesn’t seem very reliable but to be fair I could have missed a reliable source or failed to input an effective search term ( I looked for 携帯恋話 ユニット歌 with variations for the unit name)
Anyway I’ll keep digging hopefully I’ll find that mega thread or someone else will be able to.
