Well, it's still Halloween in my time, so trick or treat.

The Monarch of Puns and Master of Yachifumi themself! What an honor!

Chapter 7 of Butterfly Dreams of a Plastic Heart is the only Revue Starlight wip I have at the moment, so how about some light Fumi angst?

Fumi felt her eyebrows raise in surprise. She must have touched a very sensitive nerve to get a response like that.

I suppose I shouldn’t judge them. I was like that, once upon a time.

And she was. She left Siegfeld in a hasty, sudden decision, not bothering to tell her friends or sister where she was going. She simply submitted the paperwork and left in the middle of the night. Then once she was at Rinmeikan, she refused to speak to anyone about anything related to her previous school, including the people she loved there. If any question relating to her sister or the other Edels came up in conversation, she scrambled for any way out, and often just physically left the situation altogether. Running away was her trademark move, and she could recognize it in Andromeda’s tactics.

Fumi glanced over her shoulder at Akira, who was engrossed with looking out the window, alone. Had she ever said something like that about Akira? She couldn’t remember.

I really liked the police-thief prompt! Been wanting to draw something of this theme and this is just perfect for Yachiyo and Fumi. And the costumes for both were detailed, especially Yachiyo’s (like I didn’t realise at first that it was an actual frame hanging there on the back ribbon) but it’s a lot of fun going into those small stuff and adding on the glowing effects. Thanks so much for letting me draw this! 🙏😌

I have too many HWs and Quizzes and Projects three entrance exams to review for, but this thought wouldn't leave my mind:

Guardian Angel Fumi AU, wherein Guardian Angels can get reassigned to different people on two conditions: either they fall in love with their assigned human, or they failed to protect their current human from a near death experience/negative life altering experience.

And Fumi used to be assigned to Yachiyo, but got reassigned to Tamao because she fell in love with Yachiyo. Yachiyo, however, isn't sure what went wrong. You see, she loved Fumi, even if she knew they could never be, because of the whole "can't fall in love w/ your human" thing.

But she isn't sure that Fumi DID fall in love with her, and spends so much time thinking that Fumi instead failed to protect her from something life altering. She's heartbroken, because she doesn't care if her life takes a turn for the worse. She just wants Fumi back.

And the entire time, Fumi's also there doing her duty as Tamao's Guardian Angel. She beats herself up for being so stupid as to fall in love with Yachiyo, for falling for her human despite knowing it isn't allowed, despite it never being able to be.

That's it for now bc my brain is dead and I have stuff to do; I just really needed to get this out of my head. If anyone's interested in this I might continue this? Idk, I highly doubt that bc this was just an idea dump.

Yo sis what’s with yachiyo x fumi? I really want to ship them (and no hate to the ship at all) I’ve just been trying to find content between them but I can’t find anything.

Ohhhhhhhh you see. I’m not the most well-versed on it either, but from what we know of the games/stage plays, Fumi originally started out at Siegfeld and was an Edel (or was going to be) with Akira and Yachiyo and all them. But Akira pressured her too much, and Fumi made some horrible mistake at her audition and failed, which caused her to quit and join Rinmeikan instead. (It was a lot of trouble for her parents to let her switch, which is why Fumi works so many part-time jobs and pays for her own apartment).

Yachiyo was evidently close to her when she was at Siegfeld, so the fact that Fumi quit and left them all behind makes people ache cuz she very easily could’ve been shipped with Yachiyo or Akira, but then they ‘broke up,’ so it calls for a lot of angst.

But evidently, that’s mostly fandom headcanons about their angst. In canon, there aren’t really any hard feelings between Fumi and Yachiyo. If anything, it’s just that Akira still regrets having pushed her too hard to the point of losing her.

And then Shiori also has a lot of painful feelings about Fumi, to the point where she literally started screaming and crying to Akira about it. But as we are now, Claudine helped the sisters through their troubles in the stage plays, and now they are on good terms again c:

General opinion over said character:

Fumi is so entangled in her Problems that she is the hardest in the cast to separate from them. Like is it physically possible to woobify Fumi Yumeoji. Let me try. She meets like seven of the qualifications to be a Tumblr sexyman and there are five total

Okay I like. Hmm. Huh. Really relate to her in a way. I think that the way her rigorous self critique colors every aspect of her worldview is so fascinating. She shares so many outward qualities with Akira - she's slightly detached, no-nonsense, stern, strict, but it feels so different on her..and not quite in a good way. She is a king who never became a king. A fallen knight who went through a journey approaching death just as his former king had. What's different about Fumi is that her story isn't finished yet while Akira's is preordained. Akira has always been marching to her death and she knew it. Fumi diverged to follow rebirth - and it's hard and painful and raw. It's so. F

I really like her. I think that she's had the most unique storyline in the entire re:live cast and that's a difficult thing to accomplish in a cast of amazing characters.

I think that what I meant in regards to relating to her is that it is very easy to let your perception of yourself color your whole worldview and cause you to tunnel vision and behave in ways that don't feel true to your authentic self. I think that if you asked her who she is she would have a total mental breakdown. Fumi only sees herself in concepts.
