I played and beat Konamis X Men

So I am not a gamer ,and as such I feel like I havent given credit to video games as adaptations but they can be influential such as the game (Hell X Men 97 had an episode which was an homage to this game) .The game,which came out the same year as the beloved 90's show I feel is one of the reasons X Men ruled the 90's

In this game you can have up to 6 players ,with the characters being Wolverine ,Storm,Cyclops,Nightcrawler ,Dazzler and Collossus.Aesthetically the game takes from the failed pilot Pryde of the X Men,which explains the team used .Full disclosure I played the game on my own ,and started as Storm but played most of the game as Nightcrawler cause their my favorites

Plots simple ,Magneto and his army of sentinels are attacking earth ,kidnap Kitty Pryde and Professor X ,so its up to the X Men to stop him and his brotherhood of mutnants consisting of Pyro ,Blob,Wendigo ,Nimrod ,White Queen,Juggernaut and Mystique......We will forgive that some of these villains working for Magneto and being a part of the brotherhood make no sense .Like Juggernauts not a mutant but hes worked with Magneto a few times ,so I buy him .....I scratch my head with Wendigo (Whos not a mutant but a legendary monster ,and I dont associate them with X Men ) and ESPECIALLY at Magneto comanding Nimrod and the Sentinels cause Magneto is all about Mutant liberation and Sentinels are about,ya know,Mutant extermination.Then again its a simplestic video game from the 90's so nuances will be lost

Anyway game is fun ,its a short and simple beat em up as you fight your way through hordes of enemies till you get to the bosses.Graphics are gorgeous ,the dialogue is cheesy in a charming way (I love clunky early video game voice acting ,my fave in this game is Magnetos "Welcome to die!"),controls work well and its just fun fighting your way through the X Men baddies

If I were to redo my favorite marvel adaptations pre MCU it definately would make the list ,I love this game ,had a ton of fun playing it
