Dominion au rough concepts for Peepers. After teaming up with Dominator, Peepers would get an upgraded uniform with an extra pointy lightning bolt and lava boots. Peepers' lightning bolt is replaced with a cracked heart.

I did, yeah. But, idk…

Between rewatching certain eps, having a different perspective on the characters than I did when I was an 18-19 year old, and my taste in ship dynamics (leaning more towards strong partnerships and domestic fluff) changing with time - I’ve definitely cooled quite a bit on the ship.

Don’t get me wrong, I still like the idea of Wander helping Hater figure himself out and become a better and happier person, and I still like a lot of the adorable fanart. In canon though, it’s hard to say whether or not it’d work out without proper development on both sides - which again, would be super fascinating to see!

I think there’s always gonna be a part of me that still sorta ships it, even if it’s not my OTP anymore and even as I acknowledge that it’s proooobably not the healthiest ship in the show.

Honestly, if you asked me right now in 2023 to pick my favorite WoY ship, besides the obvious peak canon ship that is Drakor/Demurra I’d probably have to go with Hater/Awesome (something I actually lightly shipped on the side back in the day).

Again, probably not the healthiest per say, but I can’t help but enjoy the potential of it, especially given that Awesome got knocked off his pedestal of popularity and can’t necessarily hide behind it anymore, sorta being pushed to change like Hater was in s2. And once BOTH of them start being a bit more genuine/start to make a change, I could easily see an actual connection being made between them. Buuuut maybe that’s just the Awesome Apologist in me (the one who wrote nine whole fics about Awesome, Hater and Peeps eventually becoming friends, lol)
