Can we really “opt out” in the first place when the damage has been done? (Fun fact! I just found out that affiliated links automatically got turned back on when I wasn't looking!)

Anyways, I already got my art fed to AI when Deviantart pulled the same crap ...Even if I turned that setting off ASAP.

That doesn't take it out of the dataset and BOY is it a pain to request that they take your art out! The only way I found had me do it one by one so I didn't bother... ESPECIALLY since the site sucked so the search refreshed every time. And the search also sucked.

Fortunately there was only old art, rough sketches for a Pokemon fangame, and and a few assests for it with only one being made from scratch.

But my art Tumblr has everything I've posted for nearly a decade! There's 953 posts with only a teeny fraction that's not art! And I don't even wanna check if it already got yanked overnight...

PS: My art has been stolen and reposted before. Mainly by virus ridden Tumblr mirrors and some wallpaper sites. At least that's what I'm aware of.

Soooo I probably can't even remove twice‐stolen art. (Yes, I'm counting the AI dataset as the second.)

They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.

...The career change itself was hell though.

Why do you see Marvin as middle aged? I always kind of thought of him as being in his 20s/30s. I guess it’s his childish tendencies in some of his portrayals. Like he’s old enough to have had a family and kids if he’d wanted them but he’s still a spring chicken, y’know? Imo middle aged is like 40s-60s for me and I just don’t think he’s THAT ancient. ;)

It's hard being the only one that cares about VOSHA standards when you have your own hazardous habit...

After this Dr. Theodore "Teddy" Walters stopped hanging up his often pointed/condescending lab safety signs for awhile. Then, just when his coworkers started to wonder if he actually wanted everyone on his research team including himself to die another popped up. Taped right over their lovely custom warning sign, of course.

Explanation of said bad habit below:

Teddy has a tendency to accidentally sneak on people because he walks lightly and rarely speaks unless prompted. This would be a minor issue... If he

Didn't work somewhere where people are frequently handling dangerous materials/machines.

Kept a proper distance. He doesn't unless he consciously reminds himself to because he has a poor sense of personal space. His undiagnosed nearsightedness only makes it worse.

Wasn't nosey enough to try to see over people's shoulders in the first place.

You'd think that the scientists working with Captain Tim's acid for the CAPT (Captain Arachnomorph-Proof Technology) Project would be the most safety-minded watchdogs on the ship. You would be wrong.

Teddy keeps trying to put up lab safety posters to remind them to be careful around the most dangerous known acid. Unfortunately they don't listen so his posters have grown increasingly passive-aggressive and pointed with his frustration.

Needless to say his coworkers think it's annoying. He did it anonymously at first, but it was easy to figure out when only one of them actually takes the VOSHA guidelines seriously. (Which is like OSHA but more relaxed because it's for villains.)
