The bell attached to the lead ram pierced through the tranquil breeze. His heavy head jolted, nostrils snorting harshly. His ewes followed suit, their softer eyes and ears poised through the hills ahead. An ominous scent was brewing, and Medivitsa knew this too, she was all too familiar.

“Damned wolves, again?” She grunted under her breath. Normally the thought would make any dog tremble, but being the same size if not larger than any wolf, the Caucasian Shepherd female held no fear. If anything, she fell infamous to the native pack of the area. At least, if there were still any left?

All the more reason Medivitsa should’ve been worried.

Keep seeing that post where OP starts like 'Thinking about...grieving the undead' and then adds on about like. Real life situations where people have not died but have left your life and you would have reason to grieve them.

All respect, that's an important concept, but that is not what I am thinking about when I read 'grieving the undead'.
