“Best of Original Cartoons”
Best of Original Cartoons P... by Fred Seibert
When I left Frederator and set up FredFilms a few years ago I updated the Best of Frederator book we published. And then, I either did new editions or updates of all nine (as of now) of our promotional books. You can check them out as the ‘FredFilms Professional Library.’ Each of them is available as a downloadable PDF, or you can get hard copies at Amazon and Bookshop.
There are posters, cartoon sketches and full color artwork, jokes, some incredible graphics, and lots and lots of postcards. In the ‘Best of Original Cartoons,’ there’s some of each.
Hope you enjoy them.

In 2006, Wubbzy says "Wow" for the very first time on this day, and thus...everyone's childhood show was born.
Yep! I've been working on this all day and all afternoon. I never miss a year, do I? Because look at the past three artworks I made in the past three years (shown in this artwork as well). Well, for this year, it features...
Numberblock 17 (Yes, this artwork is meant to be an homage/parody to his debut episode of the same name, as shown on the wall painting of Wubbzy's around Wubbzy on the wall. Nice juxtaposition!)
Ika Musume, Eiko, Chizuru and Takeru Aizawa cosplaying as Daizy, Widget, Walden and Wubbzy respectively.
My version of Wubbzy's parents, Alice and Jared.
That's a work of art.
Also, unlike the Yin Yang Yo! one, which featured all characters from the last three deviations, I only featured a few characters, because LOOK at the one I made back in 2020 during its 14th anniversary. It had SO many characters that instead I wanted to feature only a few characters.

Art trade with @hayleybunny1222
I just noticed she left DeviantArt, but don’t worry. It won’t last that long, she’ll return on September 1st. When she returns, my next art trade with her will be 2016 Blossom wearing white 2-piece swimsuit (bikini) with horizontal baby blue stripes that she’s at the beach waving hello.

Best of Original Cartoons:
Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!
FredFilms Postcard Series 8.5
I thought I was in the kid business. But Castlevania and Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! opened up my mind that the cartoon business had changed a lot since I was a kid and that our "creators first" approach had to be our guiding light.
When producer Kevin Kolde came aboard my team he brought Castlevania rights and a point of view about animation and video games. But his first project for us was producing Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, a show for 4-7 year olds. Kevin brought the same creative rigor he would to all the productions he's overseen during the past couple of decades. It was another step in my personal evolution as a producer.
Bob Boyle had been a producer and the art director of our production of The Fairly OddParents when we started searching for animation professionals who were interested in writing picture books (another story for another time). We quickly fell for his vision, in many ways fueled by his early collection of vinyl toys from Asia. His Wubbzy designs were all beautiful adaptions of those toys, and his characters, storytelling and musical chops put him right with our initial partners at Nick Jr, and soon, platforms all over the world. It's definitely merits one our limited edition postcards of the Best Original Cartoons.
Ever since, creators who can execute characters we love and their stories... I'm in!

It's been a few weeks or so since I revisited "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!". I don't know why, but I think I may slowly be starting to like Widget, but just as a friend. Recently, I've been imagining if she was magically pulled out of a hat by either me or someone else. And Widget, after being pulled out would ask if she can go back to her world (which would be Wuzzleburg).
