WEEKEND LIVE K-POP MARATHON WITH iKON AND WINNER MACPIEPRO’S IDEA OF “MUSIC WITHOUT PRESSURE” LIVES ON

Kuala Lumpur, 17 August 2018 - Malaysian K-pop fans are in luck! MacpiePro is bringing 2 groups under the K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment, iKON and WINNER to Malaysia as part of their tour.

Organized by MacpiePro, iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR and WINNER 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR are rocking Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam on 13 October (Saturday) and 14 October (Sunday) at 6pm, respectively.

WINNER will be making their first ever appearance in Malaysia, whereas iKON is making a Malaysian comeback for the second time. The concerts mark the first ever back-to-back K-pop concerts to take place over one weekend in Malaysia. It also marks MacpiePro fulfilling its pledge to ignite more live experiences in the future.

Both groups are unique in their own way. iKON is made up of 7 members, namely B.I, Jay, Bobby, Song, Ju-ne, DK and Chan. The "C" in "ICON" was replaced with "K" in envisioning them to become an icon of Korea, while WINNER consists of four members, Yoon, Jinu, Hoony and Mino.

Tickets to EACH concert are priced at RM693 (iKONIC/INNER CIRCLE zone), RM673 (Red Zone), RM573 (Yellow Zone), RM483 (Purple Zone), RM373 (Green Zone) and RM273 (Blue Zone). Staying true to the idea of “MUSIC WITHOUT PRESSURE”, MacpiePro is catering affordable ticket price exclusively for the youth for both of these concerts, as it did so in its previous music festivals. Fans who are aged 18 and below are entitled to enjoy special price of RM98 for ticket priced at RM273 for both of these concerts. One of YG’s popular boy groups, WINNER, will be starting their “WINNER [CROSS] TOUR” soon and the Kuala Lumpur stop is set to fall on 18th January 2020 at the Axiata Arena. iMe MY, the organizer, has just made an announcement on the ticketing details and tickets will be officially sold online on November 9th from 11AM onward!

WINNER debuted in 2013 through a survival show <WIN> (Who Is Next), was YG’s first boy group to debut in nine years since the debut of BIGBANG in 2006. The group consists of four members; Yoon, Jinu, Hoony and Mino.

WINNER’s debut album <2014 S/S> has topped various music charts not only in South Korea but also worldwide especially in the well-known chart, Billboard’s World Albums. They grabbed their first win on M! Countdown, making them the fastest group to have won an award in the K-Pop industry. Apart from that, WINNER’s debut song “Empty” has swept most charts on music shows, proving their popularity despite the fact that they have just debuted.  

After officially announcing their tour “WINNER [CROSS] TOUR” in September, WINNER made a comeback with a new album <CROSS> in October for the promise they have made with Inner Circle (name of the fandom) that 2019 will be “The Best Year” for them. 

The new album <CROSS> consists of the title track “SOSO” which has already topped many major music charts especially on iTunes in 23 regions. The album was released just a few days prior to their 2-days concert “WINNER [CROSS] TOUR IN SEOUL” and it was also their first time performing “SOSO” live in concert. The [CROSS] Tour will be an upgraded tour for the audience to hype up with as it will be accompanied with live bands.

“WINNER [CROSS] TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR“ is scheduled to be held on 18th January 2020, 6PM at Axiata Arena. Tickets are priced at RM717 (VIP Zone/ Standing or Seated), RM657 (CROSS Standing Zone), RM587 (CAT 1), RM487 (CAT 2) and RM287 (CAT 3), excluding RM4 processing fee. Tickets will be officially opened for sale online on November 9th, 11AM onward via www.ticketcharge.com.my.

Each person is allowed to purchase up to 8 tickets per transaction. Every VIP ticket holder are entitled to redeem ONE copy of the <CROSS> album. They (VIP ticket holders) will also stand a chance to win the fan signing session benefit (held in Malaysia) which will be chosen on a random basis. WINNER is Everywhere, Including Our Hearts!

Shah Alam, October 14 - It was indeed an eventful weekend as k-pop group WINNER takes it spotlight after label mate iKON had their concert a day before, located at Stadium Malawati Shah Alam. It’s not the first time WINNER came to Malaysia as they’ve previously guested as an intermission for 2NE1’s concert in 2014. The boys finally made way to having their first ever concert in Malaysia.

           Fans flocked to the venue as early as 10AM on Sunday for the venue, spending the whole day getting hyped for the long awaited concert of their idol. The concert starts right at 6PM as WINNER finally emerged, in flashy blue outfits and kicks it off with their hit debut song, "Empty”. You can say we needed “Air”, as they ended the first performance to introduced themselves to the crowd. The show continues on with a song from their latest album, “Hello” and “Everyday”.

             During the second ment, WINNER shared a wonderful story as member Seungyoon talked about their goal of wanting to experience the cultural food and atmosphere in Malaysia. Due to limited time, they only managed to eat food ordered through room service. They had a taste of Satay, Mee Goreng and Nasi Lemak and mentioned how much they fell in love with the Malaysian food.

             As the concert continues, Mino performed his solo singles “Body” and “Turn Off The Lights”, showing his sexy charms all over the stage. The stage definitely made us anticipate his upcoming solo album. The next member to appear is none other than Jinwoo, performing a cover of “Untitled, 2014” serenading us with his sweet vocals.  Seungyoon came up next as he performed his hit single, “It Rains”, an acoustic version of “All Of Me” together with INCLEs and the iconic “Instinctively”. Finally, Seunghoon took control of the stage with his energetic performance of “Serenade” and “Ringa Linga”. All 4 came back on stage as they performed “We Were”.

             The showed continued on for almost 2 hours as WINNER continues to perform nonstop with “For”, “Raining”, “Movie Star”, “Immature”, “Love Me Love Me” and “Special Night”. Feeling the high spirit from INCLEs throughout the concert, we did not feel a dull moment but instead wondered how quickly the time has flown past. As the concert slowly came near to its end, Seunghoon asked all the sitting fans to stand up, hyping up the crowd before performing their more energetic hits with “Island”, “Really Really” and “La La”.

             WINNER came back on stage for encore with “Don’t Flirt” and “Luxury” as the stadium slowly fills up with colourful LED rose lights as a surprise project from INCLEs. WINNER was in awed by the brilliant glowing as the boys asked if they were roses, speechless from the wonderful scenery made by INCLEs as the crowd continued to cheer. They came up to the extended stage for the last ment as they expressed their thankful feelings towards INCLEs. While it was a touching moment, the subtitles came up on the big screen showing the boys reading the written words from the monitor. Seungyoon explained that they wanted to try their best to communicate with fans as he humorously bantered “don’t laugh!” bringing more laughter to the crowd as they cheered in support for them to be more confident to interact with fans. Seunghoon screamed Aku Cinta Padamu! (I Love You!) and immediately did a prompt rapping of the phrase followed by the beat-boxing from Mino. It might even be one of the favourite “song” from INCLEs that night!

            With only 2 songs left, they once again performed a remix version of “Really Really” and “Everyday”, as the crowd goes wild and those in upper tier stood up together. The show finally came to an end as the boys greeted the fans one last time. “It really is the happiest day, thank you” Seungyoon mentions as he evidently post on his social media after, quoting the day to be one of the happiest day in his life. The boys bid farewell towards the end before bowing and leaving the stage, but ultimately left a memorable mark inside the hearts of everyone there.

           The concert successfully ended with 6,500 fans in attendance. WINNER will be continuing their 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR series as they head towards Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta and Hong Kong for their next stop.
