MY K-POP WIRE at live: iKON heats up Axiata Arena with their fiery performances
July 22nd, 5 years since their last visit and iKON is finally back in town to meet Malaysian iKONIC for a very exhilarating and unforgettable night.
Kicking off the show with ‘Tantara’ and ‘Sinosijak’, ‘2023 iKON World Tour TAKE OFF in Kuala Lumpur’ lasted for about 3 hours with a total of 25 songs including the encore stage. Setting off the night with unparalleled energy and captivating performances, iKON showcased their immense musical prowess, leaving iKONIC in awe and on the edge of their seats throughout the entire show.
Filling the entire Axiata Arena with a mesmerizing red KONfire ocean throughout the show, iKONIC once again proved their devotion and unwavering support and love towards iKON. iKONIC also prepared a special video message which in return the members expressed their genuine gratitude.
Getting noticed by a K-Pop idol during a concert has been a dream for every fan and guess the night was truly a lucky day for fanboys as they got noticed by Bobby. DK interacted with the fanboys while Bobby invited one fanboy to sing with him. Dreams do come true!
The ‘2023 iKON World Tour TAKE OFF in Kuala Lumpur’ marks an important milestone for iKON, as it is their first global concert tour since transferring to their new home, 143 Entertainment. Despite the absence of Jay, who went to fulfill his national duty 2 days prior to the concert day, iKON showed off their exceptional performance skills and was profoundly moved by the overwhelming response from iKONIC, acknowledging them as the driving force behind their unity and resilience.
We at MY K-POP WIRE hope that all iKONIC had a great time during the concert and for iKON to come again to Malaysia.

iKON TAKE OFF WORLD TOUR 2023
It was one of the best moments in my life. Finally I was able to meet iKON <3 The concert was so much fun and enjoyable. Big thanks to my friends who gave me 2 free tickets for CAT 1 2 days before the concert hahaha <3 I thought I couldn't go but in the end, I did go lol. I've been supporting them ever since Winner Who is Next? and also Mix and Match and never in my entire life i thought I couldn't meet them :') even though Jinwan wasn't there, but I still had so much fun :)) sighhhh TAKE ME BACK TO THEIR CONCERT PLEASEEEE. I still remember a night before their concert, I was listening to their concert setlist, prepared my clothes, and everything. sighhh TAKE ME BACKKKK hahahahaha h

2023 iKON World Tour Take Off in Kuala Lumpur's Venue will Change from MIECC to Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil!
KUALA LUMPUR, 27th June 2023 – The long awaited 2023 iKON World Tour Take Off in Kuala Lumpur has changed the venue to the prestigious Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil on 22nd July 2023 at 8pm. Concert-promoters Jojo Events and My Events International announced the change in venue today as Axiata Arena had become available for the event after an unexpected booking cancellation by a third party.
They believe that Axiata Arena is the best possible venue for the concert and they believe that Axiata Arena, with its state-of-the-art facility and impressive capacity, can provide the fans with the best immersive concert experience in one of the region’s most iconic venue.
Pursuant to this, the ticket category for CAT 1, CAT 3 and CAT 4 will remain. However, there will be changes for CAT 2, while CAT 5 will be added as an additional category to accommodate to the capacity of the new venue. Due to this, there will be a temporary migration from the Ticket2u platform and the relaunch of the ticket sale is set to take place on 28th June 2023 on Wednesday, at 12pm onwards.
The organisers have added the lowest category to make it more affordable for the students priced at RM198. Tickets for the concert are available for purchase at various price ranges (RM198, RM388, RM438, RM538, RM838, RM1038, RM1088) subject to ticketing fees. Fans can enjoy an additional 15% discount for only CAT 1 ticket

As for existing ticket holders, the updated venue information and seating plan will be emailed to their registered email account.

WEEKEND LIVE K-POP MARATHON WITH iKON AND WINNER MACPIEPRO’S IDEA OF “MUSIC WITHOUT PRESSURE” LIVES ON
Kuala Lumpur, 17 August 2018 - Malaysian K-pop fans are in luck! MacpiePro is bringing 2 groups under the K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment, iKON and WINNER to Malaysia as part of their tour.
Organized by MacpiePro, iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR and WINNER 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR are rocking Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam on 13 October (Saturday) and 14 October (Sunday) at 6pm, respectively.
WINNER will be making their first ever appearance in Malaysia, whereas iKON is making a Malaysian comeback for the second time. The concerts mark the first ever back-to-back K-pop concerts to take place over one weekend in Malaysia. It also marks MacpiePro fulfilling its pledge to ignite more live experiences in the future.
Both groups are unique in their own way. iKON is made up of 7 members, namely B.I, Jay, Bobby, Song, Ju-ne, DK and Chan. The "C" in "ICON" was replaced with "K" in envisioning them to become an icon of Korea, while WINNER consists of four members, Yoon, Jinu, Hoony and Mino.
Tickets to EACH concert are priced at RM693 (iKONIC/INNER CIRCLE zone), RM673 (Red Zone), RM573 (Yellow Zone), RM483 (Purple Zone), RM373 (Green Zone) and RM273 (Blue Zone). Staying true to the idea of “MUSIC WITHOUT PRESSURE”, MacpiePro is catering affordable ticket price exclusively for the youth for both of these concerts, as it did so in its previous music festivals. Fans who are aged 18 and below are entitled to enjoy special price of RM98 for ticket priced at RM273 for both of these concerts. IKON’S CONCERT IN MALAYSIA IS ‘KILLING ME’!
Born from the survival show ‘Mix & Match’, iKON is back in Malaysia on the 13th October 2018 at Malawati Indoor Stadium for the 2018 CONTINUE Tour after their iKONCERT Tour in Malaysia in August 2016 with 7,000 iKONics.
After the opening VCR, the ‘bling bling’ red-suited boys made their appearance with the song ‘Bling Bling’. Leader B.I wore a pair of spectacles and enhanced his already-handsome face. Next, iKON performed ‘Sinosijak’, a song from their Mix & Match days. The fans of iKON, iKONics also followed them at the ‘sinosijak’ part because it can be pronounced easily. While performing ‘Sinosijak’, they moved to the extended stage which caused a loud cheer from iKONics. They also performed ‘Rhythm Ta’ before greeting the fans in English.
When iKON greeted iKONics, they took off their red suit one by one and performed in their black shirt except Bobby. They mentioned that Malaysia is an all-year summer country, unlike at Korea which is now in the autumn season, so they said it feels like they are on a vacation again and asked the fans to join them for some ‘Cocktail’. With the summer and vacation feel, they proceeded with the song, ‘Only You’.
Bobby and B.I were the only ones left on stage after the performance as the others get ready for the next performance. While on the stage, they had some conversation and interactions with the fans. At that time, B.I explained in Korean the reason behind the song that he produced called ‘Perfect’ and confessed that he is not good in English. Bobby translated and said that because the fans sent lots of messages to their CEO so they ended up releasing it for iKONics. The song is about a breakup that is sad and hard but when you look at yourself, you feel perfect but you are actually not.
They also had a battle and showing off their aegyo is on the line. They divided the fans into two parts; where Bobby got the stage right section and B.I got the stage left section and competed on whose side is louder while singing with them. B.I chose the song ‘Love Scenario’ whereas Bobby chose ‘My Type’. B.I’s side was louder so Bobby lost the game and did a fast and brief aegyo before sprinting off the stage.
Following the cute interaction with the fans, it’s time for the unit and solo performances. First off is a performance form the team’s vocalists, Jay, DK, Song, Ju-ne and Chan where they performed ‘Perfect’. After them, Bobby performed his solo song ‘Holup!’ and B.I performed his solo song, ‘One and Only’.
After the unit and solo performances, the boys got back together and performed ‘Anthem’, ‘B-DAY’, ‘My Type’ and ‘Rubber Band’. Further into the concert, iKON talked to their fans again. During that time, eldest member Jay keep hitting Bobby on the chest and wouldn't want to proceed to the next part without talking much to the fans. Jay asked member Song what did he prepare for the fans after long time not seeing them and he said he prepared his visual. Member Ju-ne, after getting suggestion from Bobby, yelled ‘I love iKONics’ without a mic.
Before moving to the next part, they had to find their own ‘best friend’ so the pairs were Jay and Bobby, Song and Chan, and DK and Ju-ne which left B.I to be alone. During B.I’s part in ‘Best Friend’, he came out in a yellow bird costume with a camera hanging in front of him and performed. He then lied down on the front stage and took a photo of himself too. They also performed ‘Everything’.
As the concert reached its peak, iKON performed their greatest hit-song, ‘Love Scenario’ which caused even louder cheers from the fans. The song once again proofed its place as a hit song here in Malaysia. After that, Jay asked iKONics if they have heard their new albums and of course they have. And just right after that, the boys performed their latest title track, ‘Goodbye Road’ for the first time during their tour and outside of Korea and the previous title track ‘Killing Me’ as well as their B-sides, ‘Freedom’ and ‘Just For You’.
Finally, they performed ‘Love Scenario’ once again during the encore stage with the fans sing for them first. They also performed ‘Dumb & Dumber’ and their new songs from their latest mini album, ‘Don’t Let Me Know’ as well as ‘Adore You’ which were revealed and performed for first time in this tour too.
Even though at the end of the concert, the boys had to go on a ‘Goodbye Road’, but they have surely killed all of the iKONics presented in the concert and had a ‘Love Scenario’!
