FEEL YOUR SKIN
One-shot comic from the past year about my experiences coping with gender dysphoria and assigned binary roles.
Feat my birdsona Maggie and Acantho (early design, changed a bit since then).
… practically I'm baring my heart and brain here; also my views are not facts, I know talking about these themes in public can help others to realize and reflect on their own views. Something I find pleasant and one of my main objectives when sharing my comics!
From my side: I always felt uneasy about my gender because, since my teenage days, I saw how different girls were treated than boys. Because I was a "girl" I needed to look like this or that to be treated like one and UGH.
I felt sad and angry with myself for not falling properly into my assigned label so I practically rejected all of it to the point of hating everything "femme" coded… I was so wrong.
It wasn't the fault of the label, the clothes, aesthetics, colors, etc, or even the roles but of society for imposing them without any flexibility or room to question and reinvent them.
The script for this comic is from October 2022 during a time when I was questioning if I was non-binary and--.
I thought: if someday I wish to use that label, first I need to make peace with this other part of me. And in the next months, that's what I tried to do and I found I didn't hate it as I used to do.
That doesn't mean I will go back to it by default just that now I understand and cherish its existence as another option for me to choose when I feel like it! And even… I want to let some traits of it be part of my new gender expression in the future.
And to keep admiring and loving people that surround me and identify with it.
And because I have gotta admit: IT FEELS SO GOOD TO JUST BE SEXY FOR YOURSELF.

'TIS THE SEASON TO BE SPOOKY
I LOVE OCTOBER so much, it practically changes my whole mood! So to celebrate it and give myself more excuses to do watercolors (real traditional watercolors!!!) plus give use to my hoard of Halloween patterns I decided to do this pic that looks like those old vintage greeting cards. With my 'sona Corny of course!

Get someone who can be BOTH but prefers NEITHER
Cheeses, one day late BUT I DON'T CARE! I worked so hard on these pics, especially the lettering, I tried to imitate those curly and handwriting-looking fonts used for Valentine's Cards x'D.
In general, these are a mockery of such cards and tropes that try to put our disposition for "love" in one way or another. Not that is completely bad but-- I need a third option.
If we decide to share time on this level, I'll be myself and nothing else in between, and I won't put such expectations on the other one. By the way: No-Romo activities, please, and thank you.
BTW That's Maggie for you all! The most femme-coded of my birdsonas and still, flirty and playful, she doesn't do it for anyone but herself.

HOW TO (NOT) HOLD YOUR SCINTILLA
Part II - With TFP Predaking and Optimus Prime.
[Scintilla] was created to take over humanoid frames with full mechanical-inspired alt. modes and so, finds it hard to synchronize with animal-based and/or mechs with monstrous alt. modes... That's why she will totally avoid being handled by Predaking.
In an inverse scenery, whoever bears the Matrix near 'Tilla will automatically make her enter a "standby" mode. Probably result from being made with materials/chemicals of cybertronian origins (some say even from leftover sparks) and so reacts in a similar way a mech does when picking up EMP fields but, because Scintilla can't reply back to the frequency, she just follows the powerful order: "Cease violence, stay calm".
That and because I just wanted to draw A LOAF OF ELECTRICITY!

HOW TO (NOT) HOLD YOUR SCINTILLA
[Part I] [Part II] [Part III] Part IV
During the process of these prompts, someone asked for me to draw Wheeljack or Ratchet without specification of continuity so I did my version of them for [Scintilla]'s AU! In the form of a short comic sequence because why not (I love both of them AAA).
Of course, scientific curiosity would drag 'Jack to the kremzeek... Ratchet would think differently about it, tho.
Their bickering will remind 'Tilla of when Shockwave and Soundwave argued in front of her so... is "familiar" and sadly she got used to it to the point of ignoring or falling asleep during such moments.

CORNY! The Living Halloween Prop Monster
Or just a creepy cute critter I use as my stan during October x)
I tried to put in her design all the typical things related to Halloween decorations like the fluff and wings of a bat, the feet and tail of a dragon, the dusty skirt of a ghost, and of course a jack-o-lantern for a head!
She is very small too: can blend perfectly with other pumpkins and in that way, wait for a "victim" to jump-scare!

It took me time to find my colors, but I swore to never let go once I saw them. And from now on I don't need to make sense to anyone else… only to the ones that would listen from a place of empathy.
Sometimes I say I want to be stardust… or a star: a brilliant sun in the middle of the blue sky.
Because probably… that's how I feel when I'm in love. Not to someone or something in particular but… to anything? To be alive? To BEAM UP this energy I feel, back to the world.
In the form of kindness, gentle words, and genuine admiration.
There are still things to figure out for me but that's the more near explanation I have for how I feel "love".
And if something changes in the long run? I let future Windy handle it: the NOW is what matters. The present I want to keep sharing with anyone I meet during my course on this life.

How to kill the shame from loving something so much: make yourself a self-insert LMAOOO.
Behold! A TF iteration for my birdsona Windy: 90% sharper in design and with the 10% predisposition to make chaos as always!
TBH I had this in my WIPs since May this year and I kept pushing it constantly because AGH I GUESS I'm still in need to repeat the lesson of this year of letting myself enjoy stuff and don't think about what other people will say of me...
That and I admit I don't have a 'sona that expresses my hyperactivity and even feelings of anger/indignation in such a pure and raw state.
So from now on, I'll draw her now and then to be part of my gushings about my fav mechs haha.
... And the last part is a cliffhanger because these pics were made for IG and it's ten-images-limit but I admit I like how that last slide looks :D. Probably I'll do a proper detailed TED Talk about it at another moment pfff.

This was originally planned for April Fool's because they are joke designs reversed in this duet of sonas but--
I liked them so much I will make them canon LMAO
... Did I ever share their actual canon designs? No? Whaaat. Gotta change that in a few days.
In the meantime: they are Mercy (big angel mom-coded critter) and Grief (tiny crybaby gremlin-coded critter), and usually... Mercy is the tiny and Grief is the giant menace.

HOW TO (NOT) HOLD YOUR SCINTILLA
Part I - With TFA Lockdown and Prowl.
These and the next ones I will post this weekend were answers in form of doodles for an Ask Box dynamic on IG!
The idea was that people send me names of mech for me to draw how they would handle [my OC] Scintilla; this helped me to think about how she behaves around different characters and in general, is a fun way for me to write lore for future references too.
In this case, Scintilla doesn't get along with Lock' mostly because he sees her like a pest, and 'Tilla is too of a loose cannon for Lockdown's agenda (and because the kremzeek's skill "take-over" doesn't work well with him).
Prowl of course is another whole world for being so welcoming to other life forms! And Scintilla enjoys all the attention and being called "interesting".
BTW Would people be interested if I try something similar here? I admit I already have a text format settled and all so haha I will wait a bit more tho, I don't want to overwhelm myself with the idea.

For the SCINTILLA ASK BOX! [Hold There Edition]: could I request TFA Lugnut?
Probably his servos are not the best place to rest but I think 'Tilla and Lugnut would get along well because of their one-brain cell attitude in following their Boss's orders (the kremzeek more out of fear than fanaticism tho) and well: Scintilla can't take-over such big frame like Lugnut's but if she focuses all her energy in his weapons, she can enhance the firepower to the extreme AKA they will enjoy for sure all that DAKKA!

They represent my most positive and negative behaviors respectively. I usually voice through them my personal struggles dealing with my feelings when I'm overwhelmed and/or overstimulated by them or by external out-of-my-control events.
They almost always are together. And in some circumstances, [they can swap roles].

HOW TO (NOT) HOLD YOUR SCINTILLA
Part III - With G1 Metroplex.
I gotta admit I knew how giant Titans are but... MY BRAIN BARELY REGISTERS THIS HEIGHT DIFFERENCE. I think 'Tilla needs to be tinier tho but if I did that, she would end up like a pixel in the canvas x'D.
Fact Time: [Scintilla] can't take over Titans class mechs because their surface is so extensive she could end 1) Absorbed by their sparks or 2) Dispersed in the form of residual energy over their frames.
Still, she would enjoy running around them like a squirrel trying to find a crevice to hide and nap there.
BONUS sketchy sketch because I never drew him before and because his proportions are hard for me to figure out skdhfdhdfs
Two posts in a day WOHO! Because I have some urgent stuff to attend to the following days, I want to keep daily pacing with these.
