Love this dude. What if you could make sure you were never alone again and killed everyone to make sure you got it. What if Willy Lowman got to rule over a Phil Tippett movie. Not sure why he makes his fake body hugely fat when his real body is svelt outside of wildbow equating fatness and body horror. Maybe he just liked having that body type, love that for him. Really though I love his whole deal. The crazy Alice in Wonderland-esque tea party he holds with Taylor and Jack Slash was my favorite part of Slaughterhouse 9000 arc by a longshot. Him casually chatting with a bunch of the leftover heores and villains in the middle of gold morning really helped set exactly how crazy things had gotten there too. His strange speech in Valkyrie's epilogue—look, you get it, he makes the ending good, the whole latter part of the book is better for his inclusion even when its incidental. He's a measure of how bad things have gotten by virtue of being so much stranger than anything else around him, even though he fits well into the typical superhero landscape. He's a type of villain that's a lot more like something out of a comic than what we normally get in Worm, yet he's so much more terrifying and his presence with so much more weight than he would in Marvel or DC. He's like a Madoka witch to me. He should be in a ero guro series. Alright I'm just saying things now

Time to go back in time for an appointment of some old Hollywood tea or forgotten gossip. This is part one of many to come because there's plenty to choose from. Today we're doing a taste test.
Joan Collins was set to replace Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra. She was basically on standby and almost got the part when Taylor got sick but the actress recovered soon after she heard that Collins was in the talks. We all know how it turned out. An ultra expensive epic known for its cost and that it brought together Liz and Richard Burton.
Gloria Grahame used to be married to director Nicholas Ray. It is alleged that she had sex with her 13-year old stepson (Ray's kid) and Ray found them. Years later, they actually got married, but her career was over because of the rumors.
Grace Kelly slept with almost all her leading men until she retired early from acting to become a princess. She had a thing for older guys.
Hitchcock was 25 when he found out what a period is. It happened when the production team couldn't move on with the filming because the actress couldn't shoot her scenes in the swimming pool. Someone had to explain to Hitchcock the reason and what is a menstrual cicle.
Natalie Wood's death is still a mystery. Long considered an accident, as she fell from a yacht on which she was spending her time with her husband Robert Wagner and Christopher Walker. In 2018, Wagner was named as person of interest in her death, but nothing came of that. Some still he believed he was involved.
Clint Eastwood and Sondra Locke were in a relationship since the 70s until late 80s. Both were married. Sondra's relationship with her husband Gordon Anderson was platonic, he was gay. Eastwood knew this, he was fine with it. He bought a house for her to live together while Anderson was also apparently living on the estate. Eastwood didn't want any children with Locke and it is said that under his demand and after two abortions, she underwent tubal ligation. Of course Eastwood got bored a few years later, cheated again, took away everything from Sondra including her home and then procedeed to have her blacklisted from Hollywood (she was an actress and director).
Frank Sinatra told Mia Farrow that he could have Woody Allen's legs broken (involving his mob buddies) if she wishes to. This was during custody battles between Farrow and Allen for their children. Sinatra and Farrow were married for two years between 1966-1968. (Ronan Farrow does look like Frank and it's one conspiracy theory I happily indulge in).
Tatum O'Neal wrote in a memoir that Stanley Kubrick's 12 year old daughter Vivian had a crush on Ryan O'Neal which apparently wasn't "unrequited". Kubrick and O'Neal also had a falling out around that time while they were working on Barry Lyndon.
It is alleged and heard by third parties in some restaurant that back in the 80s during the filming of The Color of Money, Paul Newman and Tom Cruise were seen at a party in which both of them were in the swimming pool, kissing.
If you look it up on reddit, there's still a photo on the internet of Marlon Brando giving a blowjob (I checked, it's still there). The man in question is said to be Willy Cox, old friend of Marlon. The photo was published in some memoir.
All these rumors need to be taken with a grain of salt. Some of them are quite known, others completely unverifiable. You can always dig deeper if you're interested in any of them.

Is this thing on? Been a lonnnnnng while, but I want to test the waters to see if there's an audience for country music on Tumblr 2023.
I've been making a weekly playlist in lieu of a radio show for a couple months now. Figure that'd be a good place to start.
If you like country music that's outside the mainstream, check out this playlist. It's full of new and recent releases. I kick it off with a classic country song and send it off with Willie Nelson. Hey there!! "asking your “friend” to be your plus-one to another friend’s wedding" for Flynn ship of your choice.
"I need a favour."
"Hello to you too Flynn. I'm fine, thanks for asking," Carrie snarked with an eyeroll.
"Yeah yeah, anyways, favour," Flynn said, flopping onto the sofa beside her.
"What do you need Taylor? Because if it's another quest to help you shop, the answer is no. You are a freak in the racks and kind of scare me."
Flynn waved a hand at her. "No, I bring Willie with me for that, he's not afraid to rip a deal from a Karen's hands with a smile. No, I got an invite to a wedding in the mail."
"And this involves me how?" Carrie said with a withering glare.
"It's for my cousin Bianca."
"Holier than thou Bianca? Put gum in your weave Bianca?"
"The one and the same," Flynn replied.
"Oh I hate her," Carrie said. "And let me guess, she'll lord it over you forever if you go alone."
"Uh huh. So I was wondering..."
"Sure I'll go with you. It'll be fun to show up that prissy bitch by what a fabulous partner you have compared to her boring husband, Geoff the accountant," Carrie screwed up her face at the mere mention of him. Boring to an epic amount was an understatement.
"Thank you thank thank you, I will owe you a million favours in return," Flynn said.
"Yeah you will. You can start by making us popcorn and not complaining as we binge watch Bridgerton tonight."
Flynn mimed zipping her lips (even though she hated Bridgerton) and went to get the popcorn.

"Carrie! Get a wiggle on, we're gonna be late!" Flynn yelled as she checked her eyeliner in her compact-perfect as always. She adjusted her tea dress, a soft sage green that seemed appropriate for a garden wedding in spring.
Carrie finally emerged from the bathroom, striking a pose. "Well, will I do?"
Flynn took Carrie in, and she looked like a million bucks. Her dress was a slinky lilac number that reached her knees, her honey curls falling down her back. "Damn Wilson, you're gonna outshine everyone there."
"Hopefully including the bride," Carrie said with a smirk. "Now come on, we shouldn't waste our fabulousness."
The wedding was tortuously long, and hot since LA in spring is never kind, especially in a garden with no shade. Though Flynn did silently snicker as the heat made Bianca's make up start to melt while she remained looking dewey at worst.
"Oh Flynn!" Bianca shrieked, her voice dripping with falseness. "How nice to see you! And you brought a friend!"
"Girlfriend actually," Carrie said, her smile a touch too fake to be believed. "Carrie Wilson, pleasure."
"Wait... the Carrie Wilson?' Bianca gaped.
"Oh you've heard of me?" Carrie said all innocence, tossing her hair. "Yes, the one and only. Your cousin was nice enough to agree to a date ages ago and we've been inseparable ever since."
"How did you meet Carrie Wilson?" Bianca hissed.
"I manage a band Bee, we run in the same circles. Carrie came to a Phantoms show, the rest is history," Flynn said.
No need to tell her cousin that she and Carrie had been friends since diapers, before Carrie was anybody but Trevor Wilson's daughter. Or that they'd been roommates since Flynn finished college and Carrie finished her first album. Mainly because Julie wanted to live with Luke and Reggie, and Kayla had moved out on Carrie to start a family, and she didn't want to live alone.
Bianca didn't need to know that they weren't really dating, no matter the fact that Flynn had a crush on Carrie since they were nineteen and had had a drunken night celebrating Carrie getting signed and the phantoms landing a major gig. Flynn remembered the alcohol flavoured kiss even if Carrie didn't.
So maybe asking her to this wedding was playing with fire, but Flynn had been living with her feelings for this long, what was a bit more?
They moved on then, leaving Bianca slack jawed and they giggled all the way to the reception site, a swanky hotel. But of course, the reception was just as awful as the wedding from the decor to the food to the music.
"You wanna jet?" Flynn asked when it was socially acceptable.
"No way, she's gonna throw the bouquet soon and I aim to catch it," Carrie said.
"Does that mean I have to try and catch the garter? Because ick no."
"No, but try to look like you're ready to drop to one knee when I get those tacky flowers, I wanna see how white Bianca gets," Carrie replied.
"God I love your evil mind," Flynn sighed.
Carrie blew her a kiss, then got up to the group of girls vying for the bouquet. Flynn decided to join them, though in the back, just for appearance's sake. Of course Carrie was triumphant, yelling to the crowd that she came to win. Flynn dashed towards her and pulled her into a hug, spinning them around.
"You want me to fake propose?" Flynn whispered.
"No, but you could kiss me and really sell it that you're gonna later," Carrie whispered back.
Flynn cupped her face and pulled her in for a passionate, toe curling kiss. Tasting the weak champagne and dry cake, but underneath that, the sweet taste of Carrie.
They broke apart, staring at one another in wonder, soft smiles breaking across their faces. "You wanna go?" Carrie asked. "Get some real food?"
"Sounds like a perfect first date," Flynn said, taking her offered hand and leading them away.
And she wasn't sure what was better; the look on her cousin's face, or the fact that someone took a video of the whole thing that Flynn got to use at her and Carrie's own wedding a few years down the line.

Although he doesn’t get long to wish he too could find a way to stretch out like that before Willie turns his smile to him and suggests following their lead, Alex can’t recall the exact words and doesn’t remember agreeing, but he must have seeing as Willie’s legs are soon stretched out in front of Alex’s seat and Alex’s feet in front of Willie’s.

It was bad enough that they’d taken his Dad’s newly acquired classic Ferrari, impersonated and stole the very fancy restaurant reservation of a man who could surely sue all three of their families right out of their homes, but now Luke had fully taken over an entire parade, working his charm as he belted out a Beatles cover, occasionally sending a wink Reggie and Julie’s way.
They should be angry at him, so many moments throughout the day they should have allowed their annoyance or irritation boil over and gotten Luke to stop, but then he’d turn that smile on and well, maybe he and Julie may be some of the only people Luke would listen to but they were also the weakest to his charms.

The truth of the matter was, they all expected a bigger reaction from their loved ones when they announced their plans to open a fantasy tavern style cafe, none of them sure how to react when instead everyone they told simply glanced over all them and slowly relented, “yeah that makes sense.”
“If it wasn’t that it would have been some neon pastel candy shoppe,” Kayla had supplied when Carrie and Flynn had brought up their surprise over lunch, “but that seems too close to Luke’s hated diner job, and this way Carrie can live out that ‘secret dream’ of being a fairy princess.”
And while Carrie would never openly admit Kayla was right, she had to concede that combining all of their unique flair’s for the dramatic and flights of fancy really did make for quite the immersive themed cafe experience.

Julie stopped her thrashing, Reggie’s arms tightening around her as she relaxed against him, which only made the tears overwhelming her eyes all the worse, unable to control her broken sobs. “R-Reggie?”
Another set of arms wrapped around her, Luke’s voice joining Reggie’s in trying to unsuccessfully calm her down, “that’s right, Jules, we’re here now, we're back.”

“Oh, shit, are you ok?” He asked, and it’s possible that Flynn recognized that as the voice of the cute guy in her psych 101 class who always asked the most random of questions leading to all sorts of fun stories she could relay to Julie later.
They didn’t even know that his dorm was in the same building as theirs and Julies, and now they weren’t sure they would be able to face him ever again.

Marjorie Taylor Green has a message for all of America: God is watching. Y'all better repent, the Georgia MAGA star warned. We got earthquakes and eclipses and all kinds of stuff and there's gonna be an Apocalypse if Donald Trump is not elected. Yikes, this is serious. As you may recall, MTG compared Trump to Jesus because like Christ he is being persecuted by a dastardly government. That's bad. It's lucky we've got MTG around. She also pulled the covers back on “Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police,” that use cold soup against her enemies. They're practically as bad as Hitler's Gestapo. “She’s a traitor to our country, she’s guilty of treason,” MTG said of the former speaker of the house. “And it’s a crime punishable by death is what treason is.” The Georgia firebrand has knowledge of myriad concerns of the day. She came out strongly against “fake meat” that is grown in “peach tree dishes.” It's all some kind of dietary conspiracy to change the DNA of children and turn them into Democrats. When Marjorie Taylor Greene speaks, people listen. Now she's got Speaker Mike Johnson in her crosshairs because he staved off a government shutdown by cooperating with Democrats and there is no sin worse than that. Those eclipses and earthquakes aren't foolin' around.
DAYLIGHT-SAVING-TIME ON THE MOON?
If you think switching to Daylight Saving Time is hard here on Earth, think what it will be like on the moon. That's right, U.S. scientists will soon assign the moon it's very own time. In the future when we colonize it, people up there won't want to go on Earth time because it could screw everything up. A day on Earth is 24 hours. A day on the moon is 29.5 Earth days. No Wilson, we are not making this up. Golfers on the moon might like it, but if you suffer from season affective disorder (SAD) you could get messed up. Talk about depressing. Put another way; during any given day on the moon, it will be daylight for about two Earth weeks and then dark for about two Earth weeks. Greenwich Mean Time — which is our standard based on the Greenwich Meridian in London — could get confusing on the moon. On the other hand, English astronauts might throw a wobbly if they could only take tea once every fortnight. New terms would have to be invented for life on the moon. For example what would, “pack a lunch” mean. Pack 14 lunches? Would, “see you tomorrow,” mean see you in two weeks? What about, “take the rest of the day off.” The four-day work week? It gives the Theory of Relativity a very weird feel. Where is Einstein when you need him.
NASTY EMAILS: BASEBALL STRIKES OUT IN CITY OF SALT
The staff here at Smart Bomb put together an investigative unit to get to the bottom of the plan to bring the Bigs to the City of Salt. Along the way a raft of emails came into their possession. Here is a sample:
Councilman #1: We're getting hosed. The mayor is getting sucked in. She should play hardball — no pun intended.

Post script — That'll do it for another week of springtime in the Rockies where we keep track of freedom of the press so you don't have to. Old saw: Freedom of the press belongs to those who own one. Matthew Prince is a billionaire who moved to Park City recently and bought the town's historic newspaper, The Park Record. He also bought land on a hill overlooking Old Town Park City and proposed building a very big house there. When neighbors objected to the McMansion, Price sued them and then wrote a screed in his very own newspaper explaining how dumb Park City government is. Call it freedom of the press. From our “truth-telling” file, this: Rep. Mike Turner, R- Ohio, is complaining that his GOP colleagues are parroting Russian propaganda regarding Putin's war in Ukraine, saying it's all about NATO — which is... well, propaganda. Mike McCaul, R-Texas, added that Russian propaganda had “infected” the Republican Party’s base. What a surprise. No secret, Donald Trump doesn't want to fund Ukraine and is buddies with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, Trump said he knows how to end the War — just give Crimea and Donbas to Putin and call it good. See, that wasn't so difficult, was it?
Well Wilson, bad omens abound. We got eclipses, earthquakes, blizzard and floods. It's not that we want to focus only on the negative but when the sun goes out, what can you do. The eclipse won't last long but what it foretells might. So get the guys in the band to put down their moon rocks and take us out with an anthem for the times:

I only post about the fun ones, so it might not be immediately obvious, but I get a little burned out on going to shows from time to time. It happens! But, thankfully, you occasionally see a gig that *completely* recharges your batteries and reminds you why you make the effort. Last night was one of those. Arkansas-based musician Willi Carlisle was one of my favorite discoveries of last year. (I was super late to the game, though; he’d been making records for about 6 years prior!) His excellent LP “Peculiar, Missouri” caught my attention big time when I finally heard it. Willi’s music is wonderfully anachronistic to our modern times; he writes folk anthems and ballads that would be right at home in the 70s outlaw country scene. His sold out performance last night was exceptional, worthy of a hall-of-fame country legend, no exaggeration. His opening act, Willie Tea Taylor is cut from similar cloth, and regaled the crowd with hilarious stories and uproarious singalongs. Good vibes abounded, and despite the late hour, the whole thing evolved into a late-night hang session. I’m a little tired today, but it was absolutely worth it. ALEXANDER STOLIN, born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine (under the former Soviet Socialist Republic), where he received intensive training and a master of fine arts degree in his homeland’s traditional art academies. As art critic D. Eric Bookhardt suggested in 2002, “Stolin is more accomplished than he is famous.” His art, often exhibited in thematic series that incorporate a variety of media, ranges from intimate portraits to large-scale murals (one measuring twelve feet by seventy-two feet). He has worked on a progressively larger scale, most recently designing and painting projects for the Louisiana film industry. Stolin’s technically proficient and complexly layered art reflects a unique fusion of the academic training he received in Kiev and his evolving response to the very different culture, lifestyle, and subject matter he has discovered in New Orleans, Madisonville, and the Gulf South.
Stolin’s Face to Face series of portraits, completed from 2000 to 2002, featured New Orleans artists including Douglas Bourgeois, Jeffrey Cook, and Margaret Witherspoon and the architect Jimmy Lamantia, as well as his Madisonville neighbors, including Bud Goldate, Hascal Agee, and Willie Lee Marshall. These were important works, exhibited at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art when it opened in 2003. “There are portraits—and there are portraits,” said Bookhardt, referring to the series. “The best tell us something essential about the subject. The rest are just pictures.” Observing that Stolin’s work “offers insights into the processes of perception,” Bookhardt concluded that “his images distill something of the subject’s life essence filtered through the eye and hand of an unusually skilled, sensitive, and increasingly accomplished painter.” A diversified range of works followed, including an exploration of his childhood memories of Kiev, enhanced by family photographs and a series of letters from Kiev to relatives in America. Stolin juxtaposed the historic and vernacular architecture of Kiev with New Orleans buildings of the same period, as is evident in a painting such as Waiting II. Another series explored the marshes and landscapes of the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Stolin also painted genre scenes of small-town life in Madisonville, becoming, in his own way, a southern regional painter. Works in this series included Bayou Lacombe, Breakfast at Badeaux’s, and Jr. High at Madisonville, which featured a painted image of the school’s retired bus and metal from the actual bus, fusing art, history, memory, and reality.
The art Stolin began to create in New Orleans demonstrated his technical skills, knowledge of art history, and the evolving range of his subject matter, reflected from one series and exhibition to the next, yet it was challenging for critics to classify his work. This was evident in the series Stolin exhibited during his first decade in the city, beginning with Byzantium on the Bayou (1993–1994), which combined historical Byzantine art references with New Orleans and Mardi Gras subjects, such as Mardi Gras Madonna and Adoration of St. Gator. In his Midnight Dessert series (1995–1997), he created works such as Tea in Manhattan and Rembrandt and Nathan, a large painting that Bookhardt described as “a vision of Rembrandt and various Dutch masters promenading down the sidewalk past Nathan’s Deli in New York.” Following that, he completed The Water Series (1998–1999), featuring reflective and heavily worked surfaces in paintings such as Reflections #2 and Study of Fish and Swimmers.
Stolin exhibited for years with the Marguerite Oestricher Gallery in New Orleans. After its closing he became associated with the Taylor-Bercier Gallery in New Orleans and continues to exhibit his art across Louisiana. His works are included in the collection of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans as well as in numerous corporate and private collections.
