[Sniper wandered through the scrapyard, his boots crunching on broken glass and discarded machinery.
He came here to find deserted parts that could be good enough to salvage and put to use. His eyes darted around…
And then, in the distance, he saw it.
At first, it seemed like no more than a pile of metal and tangled wires, but something didn't feel quite right.

Hey, I’m Fathom. (or Hadal.) I’m an alien-supercomputer-entity-turned-space-ocean-god-creature. I use it/he. I interact from @mawchine.
I’m a part of a system. While I’m not specifically the host/core, I consider myself the original. I’ll write about my origin story soon enough.
I’m not specifically ‘kin, but it’s close enough— so me and my system tend to default to ‘divinekin.’ I personally prefer the term beyondian. I’m also a whale.
I made this sideblog to document my experience on being an immortal trapped in human flesh. I tended to feel awkward talking on my sysmate’s blog, as they are very... mortal. I am not.

I really love seeing all the scp scarian stuff. It’s just so absolutely beautiful! But here’s a new little idea, which is very similar ima ngl.
Oki, so, no one is captured (love that for them). They’re all just free lil people. Grian’s still a harpy and gets to live with his family, Pearl, Jimmy, and Jimmy’s mate(s) (can be Scott, Tango, both, or someone else. What ever y’alls heart desire). Scar, on the other hand, is a completely normal human who likes to con people.
One day, Scar gets into a bit of trouble in town and ditches it to go into hiding. In the forest. Always a bad idea. Just so happen he ends up there right when mating season for harpies is about to begin.
Grian is, understandably, not very happy during mating season as he has no mate. Jimmy has his mate(s) and Pearl has prolly been courting some other person or maybe just doesn’t experience it and asexual (which we love to see).
Anywho, so Grian is just wandering the forest when he sees Scar. Of course, he stays out of range, choosing to watch Scar as he makes a little camp and takes care of his cat. The back of Grian’s brain is tingling, aka his instincts. And well, obviously since mating season is coming up, of course they’d love someone who seems to be nurturing, since they could nurture their future hatchlings.
As Grian watches, instincts are kinda like “mine” to Scar. And Scar is completely oblivious to everything happening. He’s just living his best life as one does. Then, Grian decides to approach, just wanting to meet this fine fellow. The two get to chatting and Grian’s like “yeah this one.”
Next day rolls around, Grian makes sure his feathers look extra nice, and brings along some of the shiniest trinkets from his collection to give as courting gifts. Scar seemed pretty happy with the gifts, making Grian’s feathers puffy. The two continue to get to know each other, Grian also doing courting stuff to try and get Scar interested.
Finally, it’s mating season. And Grian really wants Scar, but they’re also not mated yet and Grian’s not gonna just force himself on Scar. So he stays in his nest to try and ride it out. That was until Scar came over to check on Grian. Through gritted teeth, Grian explains to him what’s going on and Scar seemed happy to be Grian’s mate.
So yeah, it didn’t take long for Grian to mount him. And they live happily ever after. I know, so moving. Also y’all can totally add eggpreg if y’all want.
Anyways, sorry it’s still not that oneshot I’ve been promising. Honestly, I have no idea how to start writing it lol. Hopefully it’ll come out one day. Or I’ll just move onto a different idea.

So this question popped up in my brain today, who were gods/goddesses that were considered outcasts or rebels among the other gods in their respective pantheons.
The first ones that come to mind are,
1. Sun Wukong: the mischievous Monkey King of Chinese mythology.
2. Eris: The Greek goddess of strife, discord, and chaos.
3. Loki: The infamous trickster god of Norse mythology.
I’m just wondering who are other gods or goddesses from different pantheons who fit this criteria; where they gods/goddesses with truly unique powers and abilities and just stand out from the rest, but at the same time they’re not respected or even liked by either mortals or other gods.
Just wanted to share this thought. 😁✌️

Set in Dino Supercharge episode 19,
“THE WORLD IS ENDING AND YOU WANT TO TAKE ME OUT ON A DATE?!” Kendall asked, bewildered, looking at Heckyl, who looked perfectly genuine as he asked the question.
“Yeah” he smiled innocently.
“Heckyl are you in your right mind?” She crossed her arms in front of her chest, defensively, disapprovingly.
“Well, yeah, of course I am. You said it yourself. The world is ending. This is our last day on earth. And I wanna spend mine with you”
She took a deep breath, “Heckyl, I KNOW you’re on your retirement mood. But I am still a ranger. You might not care what happens to this planet, but *i* do. The rangers do. And we’re not gonna sit around and wait for it to end. We’re gonna try and stop it!” She explained, with as much patience as she could, though she could feel her temper rising.
“My offer stands, if you plan to change your mind” he smiled, then got up, bowed and left.

Somehow, it had ended in Kendall and Heckyl double teaming against Snide, to bail Keeper out, when Snide had attacked the rangers in their base.
Snide had run, as fast as he could, and Kendall and Heckyl followed— but just as they were leaving, Kendall held Heckyl’s hand, and pulled him closer, to a stop, “wait, we need to talk”
“I told you. I want to help” he nodded, “no planet should have to go through what mine went through.”
Kendall smiled, feeling blood rush into her cheeks, grateful for the helmet to hide it, “thanks, Heckyl. We need all the help we can get”
“Like I said, if this is my last day alive, I wanna spend it with you. If we get more, it’s only a bonus. Let’s make it happen”

a winter day
Waiting for the bus, the grass is blue-gray and glistening with silver dew drops. Breath comes in heavy puffs of swirling air. It is 6°c. Goosebumps form on exposed legs and arms. The water seeps through shoes and settles itself in socks. A magpie pecks genially at the dirt beneath, seeking breakfast. Its feathers ripple, shiny black and white, and its chest is softly puffed out in pride at its own glory.
The mist sits heavy among the treetops and crawls down the mountains. Nothing can be seen of the distance among the trees, aside from the swirling white vapor.
The warm sun gently guides the fog away again by midday, and the sky is crisp and clear, sunlight causing a faint golden glow around the edges of the earth
The cane stands ever present as a silent observer, growing tall over the sides of the road and concealing unknown creatures in the dark depth between the quivering stems. When they burn it, red flames leap high into the sky, tendrils licking together above the cars that race past. The smoke is thick and brown and can be seen from far away. Ash is carried on the wind and floats slowly down upon the earth, black strips that crumble and dissipate back into dust at a single touch. We smudge them onto our skin as war paint.
At night, the stars twinkle in the sky, the darkness deep enough to swallow us whole.
