[Ancient Charm Ideas + A lil Update]

I got bored and made some lil charm designs for the ancient, I tried to incorporate their arcs in them too!

Creature pv, I went with the dark flour war/precanon because it just felt like the most impactful in his life

Holly's doesn't follow any specific arc, this was the first one, but I think it kinda shows how her positivity she uses to help support her friends is unwavering throughout the storyline

Cacao's follows the DCK eps and the current EP because I feel it will be significant to him

This follows her episode, it was kinda hard but I went more with her pride than a digital appearance

WLs has both the Oven Arc and the events in the Silver Kingdom

Yep that's all 👍 (if someone wants they can buy them off me lmoa idk) for a comic update Im in the middle of putting the base colors down, the lineart is done, and I'm working on the drafts for the two pages after (the resolution)

I don’t know if I said it before (I probably did tbh), but I was watching someone talk about the Beast Yeast update and some old thoughts came to mind again

I don’t like what the White Lily split does for Dark Enchantress

Now I mean in theory, White Lily being split into two beings that represent different aspects of her, one being Dark Enchantress sounds cool. But my issue is, White Lily split into Dark Enchantress and…White Lily again. But like, less powerful, I guess?

Like it just makes Dark Enchantress look like some evil byproduct rather than an aspect of White Lily and one way she processed her trauma. Because this other White Lily is basically the same as the old one, same memories and personality. By all accounts she’s the real White Lily between the two, she’s the one that keeps basically everything as far as I can tell, other than needing to be revived. White Lily just has to defeat her evil self, that’s really it

Sure Dark Enchantress has all the memories and previous emotions of her old self as White Lily, but she’s not the true White Lily, or the one everyone refers to as the real White Lily after learning of the whole split thing. That goes to the new one

Sure White Lily considers the two of them the same person, but no one else does

I don’t know, I feel like it takes away the nuance and tragedy that came from Dark Enchantress once being White Lily. If the new half of White Lily was a different character who represented different aspects of White Lily but wasn’t really like the old one, I’d accept it a lot more, with them being the two halves that make up this morally grey character. But that’s not what happened. Dark Enchantress is just the evil byproduct of White Lily’s tragedy at the Witch’s Banquet

#I don’t know this is just how I feel about it #I get that they needed to release White Lily #they couldn’t not have her #but they can release flashback characters like young Cotton #and as we saw in the same update dead characters like Elder Faerie #they could do that with White Lily and have her character be fleshed out via flashbacks/secondhand info #or in part by this new character that’s aspects of White Lily #instead of taking away aspects of Dark Enchantress’s character #cookie run #cookie run kingdom #dark enchantress cookie #white lily cookie #personal opinion

Gift from the faeries...

Spoilers for Beast Yeast under the cut...

Ok so White Lily isn't actually a fairy in canon (sad), HOWEVER, instead I headcanon that the faeries gave her a spell that can summon fairy wings when needed.

White Lily doesn't use this spell that much, and it takes a while to cast, which my explanation to why she couldn't fly away when she fell into the ultimate dough.

(note: These are just my headcanons. I love the concept of fairy White Lily too much lololol)
