@whatudottu hihihihiiiii so ur ramblings about tetrax has me wanting to talk about tetrax cause i will take any opportunity to talk about him

d-23 tetrax is cool even if he didnt speak much in the episode, honestly d-23 ben deserved to be smacked around a little (/J /J that kid is like 13 😭), the twist that they were actually the good guys this whole time was great, especially since sixsix was also working with azmuth, which was a nice perspective

i like to imagine that d-23 tetrax is actually a total sweetheart and didnt actually like fighting ben since ben is just a dumb kid who doesnt know any better (even if he is a stubborn brat)

im pretty certain that petropia in the reboot is perfectly fine because for a while Vilgax wasnt. Vilgax, so he couldn't have hired Tetrax to steal whatever that crystal was from petropia then destroy it, so reboot tetrax is just what happens as a result of Tetrax not facing the consequences of his actions so now he's a MEANIE!!! but the dad instinct is still there judging from the way he interacts with Ben in "Mutiny for the Bounty"

as much as i prefer classic tetrax i really like that they went with a completely different approach with reboot tetrax, and like it makes sense too considering theres no way petropia would be destroyed in the reboot as well if vilgax couldnt do it (if petropia were to also get destroyed in the reboot then that would be so funny cause that basically means the planet is fucked no matter what 💀💀), its really cool to see that this might be what tetrax was like before working for vilgax and makes me really think about how different each version of tetrax is, and only makes me even more depressed that we never got prime tetrax in Omniverse, especially since there could've been so many moments where tetrax could've showed up

classic tetrax obviously isnt as cruel and uncaring as we see in the reboot or as he said when he was telling ben about his backstory because if he really didn't care as much but was like "okay this is fucked up i need to get my act together" then he wouldn't have looked so distraught watching his planet fall

i refuse to acknowledge the change in reaction in uaf tho cause it fucking SUCKED they cant just turn him into this stoic fucking guy after he literally shows up and shakes ben like a rattle, that and also they obviously didnt gaf about his backstory cause in the og backstory you can tell petropia's destruction was YEARS, probably decades ago cause he had those back spikes and even a different outfit but in the uaf version its just the same exact model THEY DONT CARE ABOUT TETRAX LIKE I DO!!!!!!

uaf tetrax made me so sad because i was already insane about the idea of dadtrax because of Secret of the Omnitrix, but when tetrax first showed up in uaf he picked up ben and for some reason my first thought was "omg is he going in for a hug" only to have that ripped away from me when he just straight up starts shaking ben around like a ragdoll 😭like imagine you dont see a guy for like 6 years, last time you saw him he helped you save the world/galaxy, and the first thing he does is fucking shatter you for no reason (or at least appears to be no reason), and all you get from it is a "sorry but i had no time to explain", like thats crazy, the REAL tetrax would never harm ben that is his SON !!!!!!!! and then after the single episode we had of tetrax and even petropia we just. never see him or the planet ever again. like we could've had so much world building for petropia and they decided to just throw it out like it was nothing

tetrax is genuinely such a cool character and its horrible how underutilized he is in every show, like yeah he was in 2 (technically 3 counting the reboot) movies but that doesnt really make up for how little we really saw him, especially since like i mentioned earlier prime tetrax wasnt even in OV which is probably the biggest missed opportunity in history, and the strangest part about it is that we got plenty of episodes exploring different planets and even a whole other system (galactic monsters special) so it was literally the perfect opportunity to write an episode about petropia and how its holding up

Valentino's initial interest in Y/N takes a darker turn as he begins to control every aspect of Y/N's life in Hell. His interest is aroused even more by Y/N's resistance and desperation to keep his freedom.

Y/N feels the pressure of Valentino's attention, with each encounter leaving them more mentally and emotionally exhausted, striving to balance his need for safety with the loss of his freedom.

When Valentino's usual strategies fail in controlling Y/N, he becomes more forceful. To destroy Y/N's resistance and sense of self-worth, he uses threats and derogatory remarks.

Y/N finds himself isolated, as Valentino's influence makes it nearly impossible for him to seek help or run away.

whenever they are together which is most of the time he ends up crying or silently begging for praise from Valentino. Valentino pushes his attempts as he senses Y/N's growing pain. To establish his power and authority, he becomes physical and uses his strength to make Y/N feel powerless.

Y/N ingrains Valentino's harsh remarks, and as a result of the constant assault, his sense of worth declines. He is unwilling to fight back out of fear of punishment or worse, which makes them look helpless and lost.

Valentino sometimes displays kindness to Y/N in a display of affection, misleading and manipulating his emotions. This measured kindness is intended to cause Y/N to rethink his opinions and deepen his bond with Valentino.

Y/N is torn between contradictory emotions, with Valentino's sporadic generosity making it difficult for him to completely dislike him.

Valentino's constant manipulation causes Y/N to withdraw progressively, destroying his spirit. early anger is replaced by a silent acceptance of Valentino's treatment, and he begins to feel that he doesn't deserve any better.

Valentino relishes his seeming triumph, viewing Y/N's ravaged state as the peak of his dominance and control. He sees Y/N as his most prized possession and confirmation that he can do anything he desires.

Y/N is reduced to a shell of his former self, attached to Valentino's manipulation and control. His path becomes dark with the little to no hope that he can escape this literal hell and break away from Valentino's smothering shadow.

With anxiety coiling in his tummy, Y/N stood stiff in the dimly illuminated confines of Valentino's office, bathed in the neon glare that seemed to follow the overlord like a shadow. Valentino moved in a circle around Y/N, a predator stalking its prey, his voice a deep, menacing drawl that built tension in the space between them.

"You know, baby, it's weird... that you've been with me for a little while, but there's so much I don't know about you." He positioned himself in front of Y/N and made him gaze up into his eyes by tilting his chin up with a thin finger.

"Take your past, for one. You guard it tightly~ what could be so sinful that you have concealed it from me?" Y/N lowered his gaze and muttered with a guarded tone.

"My past doesn't matter... Really it doesn't-" Valentino chuckled, his tone devoid of true amusement.

"Oh, but it does matter, my dear one. I'm interested in everything about you. Especially those elements you are desperately trying to hide." His grip tightened slightly, a reminder of the control he carried over him.

Y/N felt a chill run down their spine, the intrusiveness of Valentino's interest making them feel exposed. "There's nothing to say. I was no one before this... I'm still nobody."

"But that's where you're wrong," Valentino said quietly, his breath hot on Y/N's ear, causing him to tremble instinctively. "You are an important little thing to me my dear~," he says it like you're a toy

"A truly unique someone. And I plan to know every tiny detail, every secret... even the ones you keep locked deep inside."

Y/N's heart pounded, and a mix of fear and protest flared within him. "You won't find anything, I won't let you..." he whispered carefully yet the tremor in his voice revealed his anxiety. he feels embarrassed knowing there's jack shit he could do against Valentino...

Valentino took a step back, his gaze sharp. "We'll see. Everyone has a breaking point, darling, Even you~" he stepped forwards threateningly

"so when I break you down, and oh yes baby I will~ nobody will be there to pick up the pieces. nobody but me~"

As Valentino moved away, leaving Y/N to digest the disguised warnings and promises. he feels sick... knowing about Valentino's fixation with his past, with finding every secret he hid, was just another kind of cruel power play...

The evening passed into the early hours of the new day with the neon lights of Hell casting long shadows across Valentino's extravagant chambers. He arrived back from his various underground operations, a mix of eagerness and desire running through his mind as he contemplated seeking adoration and devotion from Y/N.

Valentino spotted Y/N in the dimly lit lounge, a book in hand and appearing lost in concentration. The overlord's presence enveloped the room, demanding attention.

"Here you are, my beloved. I've been looking forward to this... to us~" he murmured, advancing with predatory ease. "I've had such a long day, and I was hoping for a little... passion, baby~" Valentino lens over the sofa, his hands on Y/N's shoulders rubbing down his chest. Y/N stiffened, their previous encounters with Valentino's erratic moods making him afraid. he quickly stood up pushing Valentino's hands off...

"Val, I am... not really in the mood for anything tonight. So Maybe—"

"You're not in the mood?" he asked, his voice dripping with threat. Valentino's demeanour shifted suddenly, and the air surrounding him crackled with barely controlled rage. "After everything I have done for you, this is your way of repaying me? By denying me what you OWE me?"

Y/N flinched, setting the book aside, and cautiously eyeing Valentino. "It is not like that. I just... don't... want to do anything right now-" Valentino's composed demeanour slipped for a brief moment, revealing a glimpse of the cruelty beneath. His hand shot out, gripping Y/N's arm with unwavering determination. "What you want?" he sneered as his grip clenched. "My darling, that is meaningless. Remember that you are mine. And if I want something, I expect to get it"

Y/N's breathing increased, both fear and pain mixing in their eyes. "Valentino, please... you're hurting me" You looked up at him begging.

Valentino glared at you for a moment before throwing you to the floor. With that, Valentino turned on his heel and left the room, leaving Y/N trembling in the wake of his wrath.

Valentino, who always served as the master of perversion and dominance in his sphere of influence, never showed enough concern for a demon to find out about anything beyond their name—and frequently not even that. Y/N was one of the first exceptions.

Valentino recognized potential in Y/N the moment he entered his orbit. there was something special about his appeal and mystery that made him irresistible. Using his extensive network of subjects and followers, Valentino avoided probing Y/N's directly. Valentino was a wealthy lord, and in the hierarchy of Hell, information was sometimes as good as cash.

With eyes and ears everywhere across his realm, he wasn't long before rumours found their way to him. They didn't come from a direct infraction of Y/N's privacy, more like the inevitable rumours that surrounded anyone trying to keep a secret in a place as gossip-filled as Hell.

The days blurred together and a dense tension grew in the area surrounding Valentino's land. The normal commotion of Hell's never-ending partying subsided to a murmur in the background as Y/N's anxiety grew. he sensed eyes watching him, unseen but penetrating, removing the barriers to seclusion that Y/N had worked so hard to uphold.

When the moment finally came to confront Y/N, it was under the guise of a casual invitation. Y/N was summoned to Valentino's private quarters, a place where the glittering shiny lights of Hell's nightlife dimmed to the intimate glow of sexy ass lava lamps. Valentino's fierce, Predatory, and mesmerizing gaze blazed through the dark light as Y/N stood in front of him, clearly tense.

Valentino spoke in a tone as soft as silk, his words flowing with an almost unnatural gentleness. "You know that I've always had a special interest in you, Y/N, my dear. Your uniqueness, your... resistance. Your everything is quite... adorable~"

Y/N shifted uneasily, cautious of this unexpected compassion. He knew from experience that Valentino's sweetness was often used as a set-up for something worse.

Valentino's attitude abruptly switched, going from being sweet and soothing to dark and threatening, seemingly without warning. "However, I've recently come across some... information," he said, the word hanging there like a threat. "details that you have been unwilling to reveal to Moi."

The change in tone validated Y/N's fears and sent a shudder down their spines. Uncertain of how to react or protect themselves from the impending threat, they stayed silent.

Valentino leaned forward, his features briefly looking like a monster due to the way the light was catching him. "It's truly very fascinating. How far you've gone to conceal your true identity. However, as you can see, you can't hide things from me baby~" he spits the last part out harshly, you feel stupid for even thinking you could hide it from him...

Fear took hold and Y/N's heart began to race. It was infuriating to consider that Valentino would turn this knowledge against them, wielding it like a mallet.

But almost as suddenly as it had disappeared, Valentino's voice took on its previous sweetness again, but this time it felt hollow and tarnished.

The sweetness in Valentino's voice reappeared as swiftly as it had disappeared, but it now felt hollow, tainted by the bitterness that had come before.

"But do not worry, my dear. I will protect your secret~" The shock and relief you felt only lasted seconds before he opened his mouth again.

"But I do wonder... why the secrecy? Why hide who you truly are, unless... Do you fear how others might react? How they might treat you differently?" he says it as if he was only just realising why, taunting you...

Y/N remained silent, their jaw set, a clear struggle between wanting to respond and knowing the wisdom in restraint. Valentino's smile widened, but there was no warmth in it.

"Ah, there it is. That fear. It's powerful, isn't it? The fear of being exposed, of being vulnerable. But you have nothing to fear from me, Y/N. Your secret's safe... as long as you remember where your loyalties lie.~"

The implicit threat in Valentino's words was clear, and Y/N understood the precarious position they were in. Valentino had no interest in their well-being; this was about control, about power.

"See, I don't care about what you were or what you've become. To me, you're valuable as you are, my dear~” he pauses to sit up and tilt his bastard head at you as if giving you pity

“But we both know that not everyone in Hell shares my... open-mindedness. It would be fucking shame if your secret were to slip out because you weren't... cooperative~"

Y/N clenched their fists, a silent rage building within them at the manipulation, the exploitation of their deepest fears. Yet, they knew that confronting Valentino outright would be futile.

"So, let's not worry about the 'what ifs,' shall we? As long as you're with me, as long as you're mine, you have nothing to fear. I'll protect your little secret... and you'll continue to be the perfect lover. It's a simple exchange, really”

It was obvious what was meant to happen, and it struck Y/N like a punch. Valentino was asserting authority and utilising his knowledge of leverage to bind Y/N closer to him. to weaken his final barriers, rather than providing support or understanding

Y/N felt helpless, torn between wanting to respond with anger and realising that Valentino had the upper hand. "Valentino, I..." they began, but his voice trailed off. What could they say to that?

Valentino's face relaxed, a predator content with his ability to make his victim scared.

"Words are not necessary, baby~. Your behaviour will speak for you~" he leant forward even closer. you didn't dare move. his face in yours "Just keep in mind that I am either your sweet doting master... Or the man that will ruin your afterlife~. It is up to you to decide." he grinned at your scared little expression. He pulled away only slightly. As if thinking something over.

Y/N realised how serious the situation was as he stood there, the weight of Valentino's words bearing down on him. His confusion stemmed from Valentino's unpredictable mood swings, which could turn him from charming to terrifying in an instant. He wasn't sure what to do.

The tension in Valentino's office was obvious, the exchange leaving a dreadful feeling that Y/N found difficult to proceed through. His mind raced with ideas of escape and disobedience, but the mere presence of Valentino, powerful and cruel, did what it was intended to do. keep his little bitches afraid.

Valentino, feeling Y/N's inner struggle, saw an opportunity to strengthen his power and make sure his little Y/N stayed compliant for a while longer~

He reached into his cigarette case, extracted one with ease, and lighted it. The smoke that curled from the end was not the normal grey but had a delicate, hypnotic pink.

"Y/N," Valentino said, his voice unexpectedly softer and filled with an exaggerated warmth that contrasted strongly with the perverse glimmer in his gaze. "I know this is difficult for you... So Allow me to soothe your worries!~"

He took a long drag, the shimmering smoke whirling about him, and then slowly exhaled, directing the enchanted mist towards Y/N. The air between them was filled with a mesmerising aroma, sweet and overpowering, intended to numb the senses and influence one's willpower.

As the smoke reached Y/N, he inhaled almost unintentionally, and the immediate effect was confusing. his head felt light, and his thoughts were hazy as if he were in a dream. The space softened at the edges, Valentino's presence becoming less intimidating and more attractive

Valentino observed with predatory patience as Y/N's defences weakened under the potion's influence. "There, there," he said softly, standing to approach them, the air around him thick with charmed smoke. "Isn't this better? There's no need for panic or disobedience... oh you look so loopy already~"

Y/N's gaze met Valentino's, and for a brief moment, they saw him through the haze, not as the manipulator he was, but as a beacon, a source of refuge amid all the confusion that clouded his mind. he felt himself dozing, their natural resistance softened by the potion's influence.

Valentino smiled, a predator enjoying the success of his trap. "That's all, baby. Just let go. You are safe here, with me. All I want is what is best for you."

However, even as the elixir worked its charm, a portion of Y/N stayed detached, a whisper of self that watched in horror as they fell to Valentino's power. It was a little, rebellious flame that struggled against the seductive cloud, a reminder of the reality beneath the illusion.

Valentino leaned in, his lips forced against Y/N's in a kiss intended to seal the false promises, tying Y/N to him via force and fake devotion. "You belong to me, bitch. "Don't ever forget that,”

As Y/N's eyes met Valentino's he leant in quickly once again capturing his partner's lips in a rough, passionate kiss. It was a stark contrast to the gentle, tender atmosphere that Y/N under the drugs was experiencing. Their lips met with a hunger that belied the situation, and Y/N's drugged state only seemed to fuel the fire.

He felt the warmth of Y/N's skin beneath his touch, and it sent shivers of pleasure coursing through him. As their kiss deepened, their tongues danced together, exploring the hidden depths of each other's mouths with a fervour that bordered on desperation.

Y/N moaned softly into the kiss, his body arching into Valentino's as he returned the passion with equal intensity.

Y/N, still under the love-smoke's spell, Y/N gazed at Valentino with a mixture of what felt like true love. Valentino loved the look in his eyes. Craving it even more than he did before. He looked at Dave and then the cigarette that had brought him here. It almost made Valentino mad that he had to resort to drugging him. But that wasn't his fault, this was Y/Ns fault. well, now would be the best time to punish fuck him.

“You're never leaving me. Im gonna make sure you truly know who you belong to~”

Valentino loomed over Y/N who had all the adoration and love in the world in his eyes for him and him only. Valentino shoves him out of the cuddle grabs his hair and yanks him up, his eyes wide with fear and confusion, unable to escape the inescapable grip of Valentino when he is mad.

Valentino's eyes glowed with an evil tinge like something had made him snap, casting shadows across the room as he stared intently at Y/N, his eyes seemed to hold an insatiable hunger.

With a swift and forceful movement, Valentino pinned Y/N to the bed, his stronger body pressing down on the small sinner. Y/N's struggles were futile against the overlord's unyielding strength, and he knew that resistance was pointless.

As Valentino's lips met Y/N's, the kiss was anything but gentle. His tongue forced its way into Y/N's mouth, tasting and exploring with a roughness that bordered on cruelty. Y/N's moans of fear and pain were muffled by Val's relentless advances.

Valentino's hands moved with a sinister grace, tearing a Y/N's clothing as he continued his assault. Y/N's bitching was silenced by his face being shoved into the mattress. Hot Take: Hero would not forgive Sunny and Basil. (MAJOR SPOILERS!)

Last warning for spoilers :3 Also longevity warning. This thing is 1118 words total. lmao. Also if you’re expierencing thoughts about suicide, please reach out. (TRIGGER WARNING: Suicide, A POV of depression, Omori stuff man this game makes me want to sob) The truth about Mari is that Mari didn’t take her own life- Sunny pushed her down the stairs accidentally. Witnessing this, a panicked Basil decides to “help” Sunny by framing Mari’s death as suicide, hanging our dearest Mari on a tree bu a jumprope, making everyone believe she committed suicide.

Little, innocent Aubrey thought she committed suicide. Our rau of sunshine Kel thought she committed suicide. And Mari’s dear lover, our Hero, thought she committed suicide.

Lets talk about Hero’s grief for a bit.

-HEROS GRIEF-

As stated by KEL in the game, Hero refused to get out of bed, go to school, eat, and other important things because of Mari’s death. This lasted for about a year.

Kel then continues on to say that he tried to get Hero out of bed one day, saying how everyone misses him and such. Hero responds negatively to this, still stuck in a abyss of depression. The more Kel tried to encourage him, the more and more upset Hero gets, until the point where he snaps at his on brother.

“He suddenly got up and started screaming and yelling at me about a bunch of stuff. Some of it eas pretty hurtful too..”

-KEL

We all know, under any other circumstance, Hero would never say anything mean or hurtful to Kel. Even sibling-to-sibling “bullying” doesn’t apply to these two. They care for each other enough to never say anything mean.

But under this circumstance, Mari is gone. Hero loved Mari. And now she was gone. But Hero was still alive. (/ref lmao.) He became so overcome with grief and sadness that he just unpiled it onto young Kel, who was only trying to help. Luckily, after their parents be literal bitches and ignore Kel crying and comfort Hero, Hero comes to his senses and apologizes to Kel over and over. Hero seems to get better after this.

“Eventually, mom and mom ran to our room and rushed over to hug him to calm him down.

-(cut part because this isnt a kel analysis post. sorry buddy you gotta wait your turn)

“I think that’s when HERO got his senses back, because he ran to me and hugged me right away.

“Just kept apologizing over and over..

”But.. at least HERO got a lot better after that. He started taking care of himself again..”

BUT OF COURSE we know he really didn’t get better. When Hero joins your party, at first he doesn’t want to go to Mari’s grave. Whenever Sunny tried to go there, Hero stops him by saying he isn’t ready yet.

When we do get there however, its then revealed that Hero never realky visited Mari’s grave. Probably because it hurt to think about her. Every day, every waking moment he was reminded of her, and he couldn’t stop her from leaving him. Four yeare, four years he blamed himself for Mari’s suicide, thinking and forcing himself to believe that it was all his fault because he didn’t see the signs to stop her from leaving…

Except there were no signs.

Mari never chose to leave them.

She never chose to take her life.

She didnt take her own life.

Instead, the one who took her life..

Was her brother, Sunny.

-THE TRUTH-

While we have absolutely no idea what happens after the good ending/any of the endings (well we know Sunny moved and left Basil to pick up the scraps 💀 we’ll save that for another post), since this fandom is so goddamn immersed we do have enough to make a theory about each friend.

A lot of people say they would all forgive Sunny and Basil eventually, but I think the case is different with Hero. Which is probably what you’re here for actually, so let’s just set the claim:

Hero will NOT be able to forgive Sunny and Basil, and he might never be able to forgive them.

This is because of Hero’s Grief.

Imagine that you loved someone dearly (could be platonic for all you aromantic besties) and they committed suicide.

Imagine you spent four years blaming yourself, grieving, asking yourself “why” every single day, because there was nothinf you could do to stop them, you didnt see the signs, you thought everything was fine with them, but you were wrong, and you failed them. You’d call yourself the worst lover/best friend to ever exist, beating yourself into a mindset that they never loved you, or if they did, they didnt love you enough to stick around, and that impacted your life so badly that you almost starved yourself and starting saying mean things to your family/those who are trying to help.

Now imagine that..

And then crumple it up and throw it away.

Everything was a lie. You thought they killed themselves, but in the end someone else was responsible for their death. Someone else took their life. Someone else made you believe that they hung themselves and that you failed and that you’re a failure and that you don’t deserve to live while they’re gone.

Sure, the whole thing was an acccident, but either way that grief was all for NOTHING. Ever bad thought, every remark, every meal skipped, every day spent in bed was a waste. You never had anything to blame yourself for. It was never your fault. And the two people reponsible had hidden it for four years.

Hell, screw what I said before about it beibg an accident. The pushing was accidental, but the hanging wasnt. Of course, Basil was a scared kid, but why wasnt the ambulance the first thing in mind? Why did they frame her? Why did Sunny let him do it?

Some people argue that Hero forgave Aubrey for pushing Basil in the lake, but that was different. Yes, they were both impulses of anger, but Basil had time to survive. People were there. You can get water out of people’s lungs. You can’t fix a broken neck.

And also, Aubrey had more witnesses. She wouldn’t have been able to frame it as anything, because the whole town would probably know about it within a few days (Gossiptown fr💀). If Basil died in the lake, there wouldn’t have been a hidden truth. There wouldnt have been lies. No four years of thinking Basil drowned himself. Because they already knew.

Now I’d suspect if Basil did actually die, the forgiveness wouldnt be so quick. (Someone better make a fanfic of that scenario /nf)

AND SO THE TL;DR IS: Hero would not forgive Sunny and Basil, because what it did to him was too mentally draining, and the lies were too much. No matter how much he would think about how it affected them, he would only ever be able to think about his grief and the consequences.

Again, this is my personal theory, but feel free to peacefully argue with me! Or give more details :0

YES oh my god it was like formative media for me genuinely and i still love yj dearly i was rewatching it like last month actually along with yaboyroshi's reactions to it 😅 we are both a little not normal about this show dw 🤝🏼 im putting the rest of this under a cut because i start Yapping

my fave characters were dick, artemis, jaime, bart, and zatanna! dick i was Obsessed with from the moment i laid eyes on him in hindsight for gender reasons, probably but artemis always meant a huge deal to me as a kid because she was like the only vietnamese character (and with a skintone like mine!) that i'd ever seen on a screen. i loved everything about jaime's character and personality and arc and i had a really soft spot for bart because characters who are very outwardly upbeat and fun but are going through a lot of shit and hiding it are my favourites ever usually 😅. i also liked rlly them as a duo. zatanna's sort of cool-girl sass was always really fun to see and i think especially in s4 where her sort of less-rigid morality had more room to shine, really made me appreciate her character more. OH also when they introduced cassandra wu-san/orphan in s3 i like literally cheered out loud 😭 shes one of my fave characters from dc comics in general, so i was already biased towards her and i really liked her depiction and the room they made for her arc

i'm actually not sure which character is the most like me... i think because i watched it so young a lot of the characters kind of made their way into my personality in one way or another. i think irl im most like dick but it could be wishful thinking 😅 i'm not as cool as he is for sure

season three.... i'm kind of on the fence about it? i will say though i think it was a little rough with the dialogue especially, and i definitely didn't bond as well with the outsiders as i did with the original team and then the s2 cast. violet was the most likeable of the group by far but i think i was really put off by the fact that they kept killing them 💀 like i get that you guys can do this now with the higher rating but there are better ways to show off your newfound creative freedom than repeatedly brutally killing them. it was offset with the majority of the other characters suffering from basically no visible injuries too- if they'd been hit with bruises or scrapes or broken bones or ANYTHING and reduced the harm dealt to vi then i would've been less urgh by it.

i also wish they'd introduced victor a bit earlier into the season instead of spending sooo much time with brion because cyborg's story felt a little tacked on at the end, and um i was annoyed by brion from the jump 😭😭 tried so hard to sympathise with him because to be fair he went through a Lot but he just kept being such an aggressive ass to like everyone. which i guess was the point.. didn't make it any more fun to watch though.

i do like that they kept with the huge mass of entangled threads of the plot that were to me the hallmarks of the earlier seasons, picking apart scenes to try and work out how things interconnect was always my favourite part. i think the cast of the show at this point for what they were trying to do and focus on may have exceeded the show's bounds though- it was still a compelling narrative but i imagine for a casual watcher who isnt as meticulously invested in who is who and can recognise adaptations of arcs from the comics it can get very confusing or frustrating. its hard because i Love the og cast too but i think with s3 they couldn't decide on letting them go or letting their new characters shine and it ended up muddying the waters a bit, with the outsiders suffering the most from it due to no nostalgia or prior narrative heft to keep them from looking secondary to the original members of the team.

with s4 they chose to throw their lot behind the old team, which i appreciated and it neatened the rough edges of the show more, but i do still miss the s2 cast quite badly so i actually kind of wish they'd kept expanding the cast but just narrowed focus onto the new characters for every season. the title of the show is young justice, so i personally would've liked to keep seeing a focus on the newer and rising heroes of each successive generation as opposed to returning again and again to the originals

sorry that this is such a wall of text 😅 but i think this is one of the shows that i could genuinely just like sit and talk about for ages and ages... even the characters i dont like at all have a fair amount of gravity and heft to them that i love. wally is still alive btw i will never stop believing 😤 get that man out of the speed force!

What's wrong with the ballet footage? Gen question, I don't know much about ballet

ok i will separate this into 2 parts, glaring fundamental flaws and pedantic nitpicky shit (which, to be fair, should only be corrected once the former are dealt with. but it looks like neither are happening any time soon so...)

Part 1: The Egregious

Zero turnout happening. Usually i'd point to the hips and talk about if the rotation is coming from the hips (good) or the knees and/or feet (bad very bad and kinda dangerous esp in gymnastics). but they arent even doing that.

The arms. The elbows should be slightly bent to create a "curved" look. The arms should be held up and in front of you with your hands around the height of your belly button, supported from your upper back muscles. The girl in the back (nola???) actually has hers pretty good (ignoring the hands, see below) but i would say she should have them a little lower and it looks like her delts are doing the work to keep her arm lifted instead of her back muscles.

Alignment. its difficult to tell from this one screenshot (i refuse to put in the effort to watch these frames 100x to get a great one im sorry) both because the legs are straightening (after what is ostensibly a plié lol) and bc of the camera angle, but you should be able to draw a straight vertical line from the ball of the foot to the hips to the shoulders. again the girl in the back looks a lot better than jade or kayla here.

More issues with turnout here that are more evident (bc theyre making an actual attempt to turn out here) they're starting to turn in passé here, i wont bother trying to articulate what the legs are supposed to look like bc miss betty okino here is doing it correctly xoxo.

i'll start with leanne. her supporting leg is actually quite nice and she's very high up on relevé, her ankle is straight/extended and right on top of the ball of her foot with her knee straight and quads engaged. however the leg she's bringing up to passé (pretty late, since shes turning, i should add) is basically totally turned in. the muscles in the hip that rotate the leg outward are doing nothing. the leg should be turned out from the hip the whole time you're bringing the foot up to the front of the knee.

now onto kayla. i circled the reflection because you can see the leg positions better, the video crops it out. she has the same issue with the hip turnout of the free leg, but her supporting leg is also turned in. look at the knee in the reflection. it's basically not turning out at all, but her supporting foot is like 45º turned out. considering that they're turning in this screenshot, thats bad news. turning out from the foot (ie rotating outward at the ankle) instead of the hip puts a lot of torque on your knee. its obviously not nearly as severe as the stress that twisting into the ground on a tumbling pass would put on it, just bc of the force being applied there, but its still not harmless.

Part 2: The Nitpicky

The hands...... how are the fingers (jade's and kayla's) the body part doing the most work here 💀 broken wrists (but like. tense and intentional, inexplicably???), palms facing the floor. hyperextended fingers. thumbs rotated away/out from the palms. the wrist should be straight but not rigid, it should complete the "curve" mentioned above when i talked about the elbows. the thumbs should be in, but again not taut, just relaxed by the rest of your fingers. its hard to explain verbally how the fingers should be, but they shouldnt be taut and/or stuck together either (aka pancake hands or karate chop hands lol). the girl in the back, her hand would be decent if she put her thumb in and rotated her wrist 90º counter-clockwise

Forward head carriage. That's my only gripe about Girl In The Back's posture, and even that isnt really Bad, otherwise it's great. Kayla's would be fine too but her shoulders themselves are a little too forward. Jade's is.... not great, it looks like she carries a lot of tension in her neck. i typed this whole post hunched over in my bed tho so.... do as i say not as i do ;)

i didnt bother editing the picture to circle it lol but kayla's foot is sickled in the pic with okino

also the first pic is hard to look at alignment/posture bc none of them are on the same count kfjdkjfkdjfk so musicality is a big fat L there

i plan to make a comprehensive post detailing the differences between the manga and anime + analyzing what is better done and why, both objectively and imo, but yeah this really grinds my gears

he concludes levi is the only survivor and calls this pathetic. like i said, i was wondering if it was a roundabout way of erwin trying to compliment levi's strength at least. but this implies that erwin didnt give a fuck about levis friends? how is erwin going to give a fuck about levi if not his friends? (at the very least to learn more about levi to gauge his usefulness)

this couldve been like the manga. where a squad leader asked isabel how she met levi (and isabel basically says hes extremely kind + the strongest in the underground) which is useful for erwin to know.

also, erwin just isnt a cocky asshole like that. maybe the anime is trying to express that erwin as a squad leader was overly cocky/arrogant, and levi would change him over the next years + the fall of maria?

but this doesnt make any sense with what we know from the smartpass aus with erwin as a cadet. yeah hes overly logical, BUT SO IS MANGA ERWIN. hes not an arrogant cold robot EVER (or acting like it at this point in time).

so is he acting now? if he wanted to establish this unequal power dynamic and control levi (LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER), i guess his actions match.

but how tf did he expect levi to react to that, to completely submit?? "i expect you to come with me" stfu no fucking way he'd do that. what was the logic? the only close interactions they had up to that point was erwin chiding levi for caring about his comrades and wasting gas + they walked by each other not saying a word as levi thought about killing him.

ugh anyway, so this was risky. ok yes erwin makes gambles. but erwin made a risk with RECRUITING LEVI? really? erwin throughout canon never makes a gamble on levis life no matter what it is (getting eren back from reiner and bert for example). so this is stupid

I think I asked earlier and I forgot the answer or maybe you hadn’t decided yet, but you recently mentioned the difference between spawned players and born players again. I think you mentioned spawned players are more common - are any of the people we know and love (hermits or otherwise) born rather than spawned? Or are they all spawned??

I’m fascinated by the concept of spawned vs born players actually, and the way you said they’d have to get a comm specially made and fitted. Is there a minimum age a player needs to be for this? Actually what’s the lifespan of a player like, and how old are born players and spawned players each when they reach a similar developmental stage? I presume it’s different because spawned players are in a single player world alone whereas I assume born players are babies and thus need caring for?? Or how does that work.

I’m just. Fascinated anew by this concept which I had forgotten about until you mentioned it haha.

As for the stuff that isnt included in that post, i'd say that yes, you do need to be of a certain age to get fitted with a comm-- im not quite sure what the requirement is, but its probably around when you first hit the double digits, maybe about 10ish?? Culturally it depends on the Player's parents/caretakers, but i think most born Players get their comms around ages 12-14.

Lifespan for Players is on the same level as arctic sponges here-- they live for a while before their code begins to destabilize of natural causes. Thousands of years at least. This is a pretty young universe relatively speaking, so several of the oldest Players who first spawned in are actually still around!!!

There are only two born Players on Hermitcraft, and those are Joe Hills and TFC. Mostly for vibes, and because the idea of the oldest looking hermit being technically younger than several of the others highly amuses me. Everyone else spawned in!! Since born Players are such a minority, it felt right to keep everyone else in the cast as spawned Players :]

Im so glad you like all this worldbuilding!!! :D everyone who says they find it fascinating makes me SO happy like i cannot even tell you, because for the longest time i felt like worldbuilding was one of my biggest weaknesses. aye the air is getting dry again and therefore my nips are screaming

i have little to no sensation in my nips since top surgery but anything i do feel is just itching

prior to the surgery i had issues w chafing but i discovered i was like fondling my chest near constantly lol partly from discomfort, partly because my hands are always searching for something to scratch, pull, rub. my chest was low hanging fruit and my nips became a fidget toy 💀

i have since enlisted the help of actual fidget toys, and it’s no longer as easy to reach my nips because there isnt 15 lbs of chest hanging down my belly

yeah sigh

i think now the issue is just sensitivity post-op even after a year. like my nips were removed from my body, resized, and slapped back on..i think they’d be understandably tender still lol

not only that, dry air paired w full-body dermatitis (my hands are suffering too) and chafing against clothes

i’m not in the position to redo my wardrobe w safe fabrics and i’m not even sure what is “safe” for me bc i already buy the softest and lightest shit i can find lol

so i’m like putting bandaids over my nips currently and it’s not ideal because they’re one-time use and not exactly kind on the wallet w how much i have to use. and i can only use the larger ones designed for like knees so i don’t get any adhesive on my tendy nips

all that to say i’m looking at silicone nipple pasties bc they’re reusable and supposedly gentle lol which my nips are chafing from like lounging around all day not even doing much activity or sports or running (like all the men’s are designed for). i think women’s pasties are gonna too concave to sit properly on me. men’s are flatter, smaller which would cover my area better but they’re all disposable

why can’t i find reusable silicone pasties that are flat for like quarter-sized nips lmao

Okay, so I read more and apparently Small Bob is there which is nice. But apparently, Damasen is bones? Because or regeneration stuff and there is no way of saving him? (Unless they retcon it in the future 2343th book and then someone else goes to Tartar Sauce to get Damasen back....?)

I liked Nemesis, ngl, she rocked and she's one of my fav goddesses in the overall series. And I liked Hypnos, though i don't get why they retconned Morpheus' job in the first series? Either they forgot (which they did probably) or that they just kinda went for a random retcon. I laughed my ass off when Nico said his mother's Bianca di Angelo. And yeah, apparently Will has inherited Apollo's plague powers albeit they were not shown to be that strong? But he still affected the primordial goddess of Night... so... how are you gonna call that weak.

Some disliked how Nico came out to the whole Camp, but i liked the part where his coming out encouraged other campers. Yes, this is obviously Greek camp and there are already many lgbt Greek heroes both in myths and from the past but it would be different for a lgbt kid to come out in today's world, even if they are tied to the Greek demigod world, you know what i mean?

The book had its good sides but the writing still kinda sucks, and I get that this is written for middle aged kids, but if I can still read PJO without any problem but feel jarring reading this book... idk man maybe the writing itself isnt that great? I will still like the parts that i enjoyed and point them out, but i will still criticize the book and its writing. Maybe there could have been more editing in the book and less retcons and the writing could have been better.

totally right anon. pjo still holds up and this… really didn’t, but there was still some good stuff.

as for Nico coming out to the Camp, i have mixed feelings. for me, it just feels crazy how Nico is apparently the first out gay person in the pjo universe lol. i thought he felt that way, not that it was actually true💀. i really really thought Will was already out when he and Nico met in BoO, but that’s a minor thing. i’m only shaken because it ruined my long time headcanon of Will being the first out queer person Nico meets etc etc.

i guess that’s Apollo lmao

it feels like a stretch to say Will has plague powers. he has weak seasonal flue power. he has hay fever power. he has headache-the-day-after-a binge-drink power. i love him <3

every so often ill look on the msm yt community post with my deedge art and ill just. look through the comments and giggle. some of my findings are, but are not limited to:

-a few people saying "this kinda looks like cropped r34 iunno mannne" (it isnt)

-a LOT of people asking "why he got a big chest though" or "yoo mommy milkers.." (that was supposed to be the chin that deedge has in game. i just drew it a lot bigger/fluffier to make it fit more into my style but hey. to each their own)

-one of the top comments being "this really puts the COLD in the cold island boss" (extremely true)

-actually theres just a whole bunch of people asking why deedge had a big chest jts probably like half the comments at this point (ITS THE CHINNN ITS THE CHINNN RAHHHH)

-a comment that says "this is the worst fanart i have ever seen" with a reply saying "not that you could do any better" (theyre probably right)

-comments that dont even relate to the topic at all (why are you here)

i'm not sure whether i should feel proud or mortified 💀💀

also some related to twitter:

-the usual comments with shard->gem conversion, facebook issues, and that guy that requests things that are not getting in game

-a lot of people asking "why does it say sensetive content?"; for those of you keyed in to my twitter activity (probably like 3 of you now that i think about it) all my media posts past the congle drawing got flagged as sensetive because... uh i have no clue actually. i was fucking around in the settings a little bit and i mightve messed up big time so. lol. im taking a break from twitter for a bit anyway, just for mental reasons (twitter is toxic asf), and all the sudden attention on my account, but also to see how long this issue takes to get fixed. so yeah.

reddit has not that many, its all just people congratulating me. all 3 platforms it was put on adjacent to the monsterpiece shoutout (i put it on the msm subreddit BECAUSE of that shoutout) have that comment in common. i just kinda wanted to put spotlights on the yt comments first and foremost because i thought they were funny. so lmaoooo

and the thing is, im not even mad. people are just like that. the funny thing is, the last time i drew deedge (see the old art dump post) the fluff part actually looked like a chin. but you know, we change, we grow (maybe.)

but im glad i got featured anyways, because that means more people can see my art, wnether it be new followers (which is a total of 4 since i last checked in to my twitter) or just a blow up of that one post. it makes me happy to see that the game i love and appreciate... loves and appreciates me back! it truly warms my heart.
