Small but significant character moments that I actually really adore are from both the times we see the boys as tots. There is a reoccurrence that happens in both of them that I find so incredibly interesting.
For the turtle tot short, Splinter leaves the boys with weapons. In the short, Raph is the one who suggests they do “what Lou Jitsu would do” and Leo is the one who takes point when Splinter comes back to reprimand them. Leo, in taking point, is the one to defend them and get Splinter off their tails.
And then, in the flashback regarding the Kuroi Yōroi helmet, Raph is the one who grabs and throws “Skully” as a way to replace their missing ball which breaks it into pieces, but Leo is the one who speaks for the group and rushes into action to fix the teapot.
I love this for multiple reasons, but the biggest are how it shows that Raph has always been inclined toward the bold and fun and making the plans to include his brothers in what he loves and believes they’d love, whereas Leo has always been inclined to be the “Face” of the group and shoulder the attention even if it’s potentially negative all while coming up with on the spot attempts to fix the situation.

Thoughts on prince Riko’s “perfect court” before anyone escaped Evermore ( @thefoxesraven pls remind me if it was you with the branding vs tagging idea on that insta live)
@snazzy-jas-z-is-a-fan-of came up with SO MUCH of the possible politics and family ties of this au, it was incredible to watch and I think I finally understand enough to post about it 😂 there’s a balance of power between the two branches of Evermore royalty, which balance is shifting slowly to the Moriyamas and by the end of the story belongs solely to them with Ichirou as king. I’ll try to explain it in a different post if there’s interest
(And lest we go a day without Abram angst: he does in fact get his brand and more, when he’s taken back to Evermore and Riko takes the chance to reclaim his property ‘like he should have done to begin with’.)

Karen has four older brothers and this is Ross! He's the second oldest and he looks rather polite and smiles a lot and when he's at work he can behave most of the time... but he really has such a foul mouth it puts Right to shame.
And Karen when she was a kid couldn't pronounce S's and they sounded like Z's. So when her brothers would be leaving for school she would say "enjoy zool" and just. Could NEVER say Ross's name correctly so he told her to just call him Oz. And it stuck but only with Karen. She's the only one to use it and no one else is allowed.

I have two story posts ready for next week, and I just made a last-minute executive decision to switch around the order. For some reason, I was wanting to present them non-chronologically, but there's really no compelling reason for that and I think the original second post actually works better as a "reset" to establish the new dynamic of Helena and the Vatores! It's also got a very goofy and fun concept, so I hope the humor is not whiplash-inducing after the intensity of where things ended. See you tomorrow! 🦇

Thinking about how puss would DEFINITELY feel like the bad things that happened to him in the past isn’t as bad as what happened to kitty and purrito (with kitty being forcibly declawed by the ones she trusted, causing her to have difficulty trusting others, and purrito, who’s litter mates tried to drown him when he was a puppy.)
Cause to him, hearing about their bad experiences makes the harmful interactions with humpty feel like nothing in comparison, cause compared to what they went through, he came out of that situation (somewhat) unscathed. Cause no one tried to declaw him or try to drown him, he had just been naïve enough to trust the first (or in puss’s case, second) person to treat him as an equal. Whom, when faced with the idea that puss was drifting away from him when puss had saved one of the members of his hometown, and had been rewarded with his infamous boots and hat, betrayed him by stealing all the money and gold in the town, and tried to offer for puss to come with him so that nobody could take him away from him. So to puss, the wounds that were inflicted on him are more emotional then physical. Which he can easily hide away from any prying eyes (also the fact that if anyone ever knew that someone could actually hurt THE puss in boots so personally, who knows what kinda sick people would come after him. In the end, it all comes back to protecting himself, cause after all, what better way to protect himself then to hide behind the image of the “fearless hero” and act like nothing could ever bother him, cause if everyone believes that he’s okay, then the faint cracks in his exterior are practically nonexistent!

I know Quackity said "Don't stress if you can't watch every single POV and if you don't know all the lore" and all that, but it genuinely frustrates me so much that I cannot, realistically, know every single detail of the QSMP storyline. Even trying to just focus on the "main" story isn't possible since so many people are doing things tied to it, and so many unexpected things happen.
I don't really have a point to make with this post, I'm just venting my frustrations. I like knowing complete stories and knowing I can't do that with QSMP frustrates me so much.
