i love having the weirdest dreams napping on the couch

#not really but #my first dream i started to lucid dream while we were walking through a parking lot #i started to fly and the dream was glitching as i realized i was dreaming and it kind of freaked me out so i just forced myself to wake up #but then the second dream was also weird #my parents and i were driving through the old rich side of town at night and we pulled into the parking lot of this bed and breakfast place #and we got out and it seemed normal albeit dark to me but my mom seemed scared and kept telling my dad she heard someone laughing #we got up to our room and my dad went to go do something so it was just me and my mom #we were also rooming with this guy for some reason but he was nice #i was just sitting on a chair and the guy was walking to the door when suddenly the door opened and he was like who’s there #and the person at the door was silent for a bit before closing it really quickly and saying sorry #the guy was like uhh 🤷‍♀️ idk what just happened my #and my mom was like go shut the door but when i went to shut it it had all of these contraptions and mechanisms #it was strange and then my dad was like let me back in and so i did and he talked to my mom for a bit about the strange things going on #he said the old owner liked to collect antiques and stuff and he thinks the place is haunted #my mom was like well i told you that i heard laughing in the parking lot #then guy that we were sharing the room with comes out of his room with bandages all over his face and i’m like what #my mom says something to him and then another guy (the same guy from before) comes out looking just like him just without bandages #and my mom is like i can help and i was like what #the guy takes off his bandages and he’s like it’s my teeth #but also side note i was weirdly struck by how handsome he was for an older man #but then my dream decided to focus on my mom like twisting and fixing his teeth into the right place #weirdly enough i wasn’t freaked out by it but it was just interesting #anyway that’s my dream i need to stop napping on that couch #dianna.moon

alright, now that i’ve had a chance to calm down, here are my thoughts on vol 2. honestly, i really enjoyed the episodes while i was watching them! i was on the edge of my seat the whole time and cried on like four separate occasions. are there things that i’m annoyed about and that i didn’t like? yes. absolutely. but at the end of the day, i thoroughly enjoyed my time with them and i want to hold off on judging some things (byler) too harshly until i’ve seen the end of the show.

#I feel like the writing for some of the characters was pretty weak in this vol #but then again mike hasn’t been written well since s2 so what else can you except?#And the romance outside of jopper definitely wasn’t handled the best #but when it came to the problems I had actually watching the show that was about it #oh and I’m not a fan of eleven being able to bring people back from the dead but 🤷‍♀️#Honestly most of what I’m annoyed about is the marketing #We were just promised a lot of things we didn’t get which feels a bit weird #Like the 5 confirmed character deaths and a scene handling will’s sexuality #And yeah things got real queerbaity which sucked I’m not gonna lie #That really pisses me off #I’m not super confident that s5 will fix that or any of the other problems I had but I want to stay hopeful #And at the end of the I’m always going to be along for the ride for this show because it’s just a good time and I really like it #I’ve been rambling for too long now 😅#stranger things

Me on Saturday: looking up info for timing in the closest city “I know I won’t be able to see the total eclipse from my part of the country, but I could at least see a partial one!”

Me on Sunday: it’s raining outside and it looks like the kind of rain that lasts more than 24 hours “oh no.”

Me on Monday: I look outside around noon, it’s cloudy out and when I opened my weather app it said it would start raining soon *sigh* “the clouds have once again prevented me from witnessing a cool sky event” we really need this rain though. It would have been nice if it came a few days sooner! There would be less fire and the sky could be clearer for the eclipse

So today I’m hearing people online talking about how cool the eclipse was and just being like: “I’m gonna be honest. I accidentally slept through the last partial (solar) eclipse and I couldn’t even see this partial solar eclipse if I was trying”

I know I’ve seen lunar eclipses though, my insomnia was at least useful there

#emma posts #I ask for rain because it’s been really dry and there’s been a high fire risk lately #what/whoever would listen or just happen to coincide with what I asked:#on it. but wouldn’t it be super funny if I chose that week specifically to do it?#me: sigh ‘I can’t even be totally mad. I’m not missing a full eclipse and we need the rain’#lately there have also been more solar storms and it’s supposed to continue for a few years #so the chances of witnessing the aurora are even higher these last few years even though I live a bit below where they are sometimes visible #I only ever saw them once before these recent storms and it was faint on the northern horizon #but last summer while I was visiting my parents there was a really strong storm and I got to see them across the whole sky!#they weren’t as colorful as the ones farther north. but I have apps that alert me of possible viewings for a reason #I’m obsessed with them. and this was the clearest and closest they’ve ever been to me and where my parents live #I live in town now though so when I’m not visiting my parents I don’t often see them #in winter or fall when the trees have lost their leaves and the crops have all been harvested you can see so much of the sky and it’s #just stunning with or without the lights. but oh my god was seeing some so close wonderful #I thought I was going crazy though because I could sometimes hear a weird staticky humm when they would get particularly close #but apparently some people just hear them 🤷‍♀️ it… I loved it #and I think I’m gonna cry because before that the last time I had seen them a little clearer on the horizon it was parked in one of my #families fields with a friend of mine who was driving me back from dnd and we just sat in the car looking at the horizon together (it wasn’t #so close that you could see it above. but the northern horizon you could) and that friend has since passed #ah. I’m rambling though. this was supposed to be a joke post about my experience 😅

I used to joke around that in a spiritual sort of sense I was always supposed to grow up rich.
