#okay starting from the beginning of where ppl usually dislike him. apple woods chapter.#he doesn’t give hero/partner the CHANCE to explain themselves despite them being relatively good recruits up until that point.#and that legit might be my only gripe with that chapter bc!!! stories need conflict! I LIKE the conflict in apple woods!!!#hero and partner being punished so something they didn’t do!#the misunderstanding! how team skull (Skuntank) actually outplays the main duo with a clever yet rotten trick. I LOVE that it segways into-#one of the more sweeter scenes of guild members looking out for eachother. I LIKE APPLE WOODS CONFLICT.#but chatot just. not giving them a chance. is so dumb.#I’d personally fix this by having a lil montage of hero/partner fucking up on jobs. A LOT. and chatot giving them a pass every time.#and let the perfect apple incident BE the one where he puts his foot down and doesn’t listen to them. bc he’d given them loads of chances.#and doesn’t want to hear any excuse.#but yeah. I legit dont mind him during that chapter except for that really stupid and frustrating moment.#NOW. so i threw a fairly substantial amount of money at a gorgeous tv stand that is the first really nice, non-ikea, solid wooden furniture i have ever owned and i can't wait for it to get here, but i know my sister is going to judge me for it because i could've gotten a cheap lightweight ikea stand for less than half the price and it's decadent

I'm an idiot and completely forgot that the only thing I was waiting on for a Maeglin cosplay was a longsword, which... I've now had for a month ^^;

SO threw together a quick costest for the lad today. Mostly pleased, though there are a few things I want to adjust; and I need to figure out if the reason his eyeliner/eyeshadow color isn't showing up properly is because it's too dark or because of this particular lighting/phone camera setup (I decided on dark blue for him, but it's not showing here the way it is in person).

Also, with thin clothing like this, compression bra/binding doesn't cut it for me, and I wear my silicone torso to change up how the fabric drapes on me -- so I wore it today, to make sure my clothes still fit with it on (as these are just my daily clothes lmao). Aaand, since I already went to the trouble of wearing it (it is a huge pain in the ass to take on/off), I figured might as well take some fun photos too -- enjoy, under the cut! XD

I wish people did more with the veterans, nevermind the fact that Kreacher doesnt have the external trait and that Lucky Guy has never met Game 4, but AUGHGGHGH

They have the messiest relationship imaginable but I swear they care for each other guys I promise (delusional). In a manor like oletus, where youre trapped in a routine of decode and survive over and over again, i think theyd be able to form at least. A civil relationship.

It only approaches friendly territory when Lucky appears- a complete outsider from their game, which means no biases. He helps them get their shit together until they can all be in a room without wishing bodily harm upon each other 🙏

The problem is that. Its not. Obvious.

They still fight, argue, send each other dirty glances, etc etc. No one knows that Freddy likes to keep stock of all of Emily's supplies in the infirmary so she can rest. No one knows that Emma lets Kreacher pick off a few flowers out of her garden whenever his urge to snatch something gets the best of him.

No one knows that Freddy lets Kreacher into his room to rest on his sofa because its just that comfy. No one knows that Kreacher is the one snitching to Emily about whoever's injured or sick. No one knows that Freddy and Emily keep each other company at the dead of night when everything gets too much

But Lucky knows. And the veterans are grateful that he does.

Ppl get so pissed that botw and totk's music isn't "iconic" enough like the older games, but like

Look me dead in the eye and tell me you want to hear the exact same 1 to 3 minute loop of notes over and over and over for several hours while you're trying to do literally anything at all.

Like- completionists, you're going to all the shrines [120 in botw, 152 in totk], collecting all the korok seeds [900 in botw, 1000 in totk], doing side quests, finishing your hyrule compendium and so on. That takes a long ass time, do you really want to hear a song you might not even like for a minimum of 190 hours?

Botw and Totk are very audio focused games in terms of gameplay anyway. The devs put a lot of effort into the sound design of the game. How are you supposed to feel like you're sneaking through a dangerous area when you have a constant tune playing in your ears 24/7.

Besides, with how sparse the main overworld music is, it makes the parts of the game that have actual songs in it count so much more. Instead of having constant noise and 1 or 2 songs that stand out, now you have more impact because the music kicks in when its important for it to be there.

Ik people were probably gonna hate the botw/totk ost if it was like the older games anyway because of those points. So it's a double-edged sword, but the way the ost is now? It's supposed to be like that. It fits the format, the sound design, and the length of the game. Which was the point.

#going off on a ranty tangent purely bc i hate when ppl complain abt the botw & totk ost #could it have been better? sure why not #but as much as i love lost woods and whatever #if i had to hear a similar song for several hours without being able to turn it down or turn it off. i wouldn't like the song anymore #“uhm axcually it sucks because they didn't make good music. its just a few notes on a piano most of the time☝️🤓” SHUT UP #there are worse songs in the older iconic games than the entirety of the botw/totk ost #ppl hate the Keaton music from majoras mask. ik theres like- 2 or 3 songs people hate from oracle of ages #and yeah sure the blight ganon's songs were samey samey and boring but the emotional connection 2 the champions made up 4 it #but then the wind fire water and lightning temples came along and fucking killed it #so like- fuckin- go be pissed abt literally anything else #the ost fits the game #botw #totk #elliot rambles

carved my first thing! it's a fish! stained with the blood of my enemies (me) (it's my blood) (I stabbed myself on accident)
