I like the thought of teen canon Shiki coming back for a close call mission where she's been injured, some hair on the side of her head has been shorn off, and she needed to borrow one of her classmates' edgy jackets to cover her torn/bloody clothes in public.
For whatever reason, she goes to the Gojo compound (maybe to change outfits) and the elders see her partially "shaved" head/leather jacket/bloody bandages/vaguely displeased expression and are like "oh no, the teenage rebellion has begun again." And start bracing themselves for Satoru Puberty: the Sequel.
Daisaku, sitting in the garden with a cup of tea, mournfully: She used to be such a polite, quiet little girl.
Daisaku: Where did we go wrong?
(Takes a sip of his tea, something explodes in the background. Rock music starts blaring. Daisaku staunchly ignores everything and does not turn around; if he can't see it, then he can pretend that there's nothing happening.)

At least in this second Crossroad episode, they made Kaoru much less frivolous than he's in the original story. He's not much in the original story but almost all dialogue he has is complaining about various things or acting like he doesn't care knowing anyone except Kuro (and that has ulterior motive too). Here they spliced some details from other stories too with how he mentioned his family knows Tenshouins.
Because yeah, remember Kaoru is actually from one of the rich families? He never flaunts it and he's not a part of rich kids gang at ES but his family is wealthy enough they are in the same social circles as Tenshouins (and thus Himemiyas, Suous and Tomoes). This was mentioned in Summer Vacation btw.
All that dialogue with Kaoru and Keito about Eichi was new. It actually made me kinda happy Kaoru knew Eichi was stable at the hospital because I like their a sort of friendship. It's most seen in Wanted and Red Hot Island.
