Chapter 18: Market Day

Winter and Jack make a ruckus at the annual holiday market. Jacqueline visits a fellow Legate.

For tonight's excerpt, I give you my favourite part! I love Winter. She's so funny 🥰🥰

"And given the year you've had, I can see why," Winter said, with a sad smile. "Oh, my poor baby boy." "Mom, stop! I'm not a baby." "You're my baby," Winter emphasized. "I know," Jack admitted, grumpily. "But I wasn't completely alone this year! Santa was really very kind when he really didn't need to be. And Carol, oh, she's been an absolute sweetheart, really! And, y'know, the elves warmed up to me and the Council was very supportive too. And I lost count how many times Mother Nature went up to bat for me. You'd think, given his fluffy nature, Easter Bunny'd be a little bit nicer." Winter laughed. "That's why he's so fluffy. He's full of spite." "Oh, that's good!" Jack laughed. "I've gotta remember that one for the next council meeting." He paused for a moment as they entered the clothing section, thoughtful. "And you know, from what I've heard, parents usually make the worst mistakes with the first one. So when number two, or, y'know, three AND four come around, they don't repeat them. I mean, seems like they turned out a lot better. And I'm sure they have you and Dad to thank for that." Winter laughed. "Oh, they were troublesome in their own ways. I don't know how Jacqueline had so much energy all the time. And she had this horrible feud with one of the school teachers, that was a rough go! And I don't even want to think about what nonsense she may have run into while she was out and about amongst the ordibeings." Jack chuckled. "You really don't." "And the Twins! Lady of the Springs, those two are always causing trouble. Wild animals in the house at any given time; far too many fires for me to keep track of. They're very sneaky. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that they may not be as bad as you were, but they've had their moments," she said with a fond smile. "You've all had your moments, the four of you. Don't go singling yourself out, Jack dear," Winter finished, wagging her finger. "I'll try not to," Jack said, stopping at one of the stalls and browsing the spools of thread. They were very vibrant; he was fairly certain that some of the colours weren't normally seen by the ordibeing eye. And they looked sturdy—that was promising. "But you need to stop being so dismissive of yourself! You've been plenty supportive since I got home," Jack continued, moving over to the next stall as Winter followed steadily, letting him browse. "Don't think I didn't notice the matching outfits yesterday. Or all the times you defended me from the other seasons. Or how you tried to delay them coming over. Amongst other things." "Oh good! You noticed!" Winter said, cheerful. "I was having such a rough time telling, I figured I'd try showing, first. I'm always here for you, Jack dear. Even if I can't say it." "Thanks Mom," Jack said with a soft smile. "I appreciate it." "Of course," and, before Jack had time to process, she pulled him close in a very, very, very tight hug. "I've missed you very, very much Jack," Winter said, squeezing tighter. Jack smiled softly, squeezing her back. "I've missed you too, Mom." "This is all very touching, but could you maybe take it somewhere else?" the stall keep in front of them said, disdainfully. Winter whirled on the man, absolutely furious. "I haven't seen my son in fourteen HUNDRED years," she said, sternly, jabbing an accusatory finger at him. "So I will damn well hug him wherever I please! Understood?" She glared so hard at the shop keep that his clothing was beginning to look a little frosty. "Yes ma'am!" the shop keep squawked, jumping back. "I'll take a spool of the black and white each, please," Jack said, trying to bite down the laughter as he watched the shaken elven looking fellow rush to grab the spools for him, as though his life depended on it.

It’s been almost a year since Jack Frost thawed and things are looking…well, not so great. Jack’s powers are seemingly gone. Without them, the Dome that keeps the North Pole safe from the cold and its magic controlled is melting, putting everything and everyone magical at risk.

Unable to hide his power shortage any longer, Jack is forced to admit the truth. Thankfully, there is a solution: enacting the Legate Law, bringing Jack and the sister that he hurt so many centuries ago back together again. But when Jacqueline starts experiencing destructive blackouts, the pair are forced to head back home to Crystal Springs, bringing Jack face to face with the rest of the family.

Needless to say, between getting his powers back, helping his sister figure out what in the FROST those blackouts even were, reconciling with his parents, meeting the two even younger siblings he didn’t even KNOW he had, NOT TO MENTION the ancient threat that’s had it out for the ENTIRE Frost family finally making a move?

ONE MORE THING I wanted to mention! Befana in this chapter was plopped in there with Belsnickel about a month or two before the series actually aired. I got the chapter out JUST BEFORE it started airing, bc I feared what they'd do to Befana and wanted to have my own interpretation of her.

Surprisingly, they did an okay job with her! She's not TOO different from my portrayal, lol. anyway, that being said, ur absolutely welcome to picture her as she was from the series, but please know sahe's not QUITE the same iteration :3

mini update

Where do I even begin? How far back do I even go🤔

(I started typing up paragraphs and then realized it was way too fucking long so here’s the short version aka bullets..)

After last Summer’s residential/inpatient fiasco I returned to work in September as full time. A few weeks later I started the process to get weight loss surgery. I’ve been overweight my whole life. I have tried many different things, many different times and it never works. There’s a lot of stigma around weight loss surgery and I’ve actually never mentioned it on here before because of it so please be kind. I’ve tried twice before to get it but each time I got denied cause of my psychiatric history. This time however I went to a different hospital and although I was totally honest (including the hospitalization this past Summer) they still approved me for surgery. I was shocked and in disbelief and saw this as my one and only shot at losing weight for good and couldn't let anything get in the way of this opportunity.

But in October I started self harming again and got depressed. I only managed to stop/try to get better so that I wouldn’t jeopardize my surgery. I literally told myself back then “fake it til you get the surgery, stop self harming, get to January and then once you get your surgery you can go back to doing whatever you want”.

But the fake happiness and recovery turned real. I actually started to feel better around the holidays.

I started sign language class on January 9th and the week after I got the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy on January 14th.

I was supposed to only be out for 3 weeks but it almost became 4 because I got calcific tendonitis in my shoulder and couldn't move it.

So I stopped my sign language class because at the time I couldn't even raise my right hand to sign and that’s my dominant hand. It was shitty excuse though, I probably could have just attended and learned and used my other hand. I feel even more guilty now cause a week after I stopped class I got more movement back in my arm after getting a cortisone shot.

After 2 weeks of being out of work I noticed old habits forming again. Not wanting to leave my room and just wanting to sleep more. Then one day the hospital was on my mind a lot. When I actually had to go to the hospital for my shoulder it was at MGH and I’ve been to that ER countless times before for psych reasons. So slowly but surely I started to get triggered. All my relapses always remind me of the quote “gradually then suddenly, that’s how depression hits”. It was gradual at first and then overnight things got drastically worse.

I finally went back to work on February 8th and the week I returned to work I started to notice my mood dropping and urges coming back.

A week later I self harmed for the first time since October. It’s been 3 weeks now and it’s been nonstop ever since. It’s never been this bad before and it’s gotten so much worse from what used to be considered “really bad” for me.

I still go to my DBT group twice a week and see my therapist once a week. It’s been over a week now since the suicidal urges have started up again. Yes my therapist knows. I have to fill out a weekly diary card and I’ve always been completely honest with her.

This whole relapse didn't start because of this but in June my therapist is graduating (she’s currently a resident, I first had her as a psychiatrist) and she’s moving to a different part of the hospital so unfortunately we have to end things in a few months. The thought of this hadn't even crossed my mind until I started spiraling but now it’s all I can think about. I know this relapse is unrelated because if she were to say to me “hey I can continue to be your therapist but you have to commit to not ever self harming again” I wouldn't be able to agree. It’s gotten so addictive this time around and I’m hellbent on making it the worst it’s ever been and I don’t even care anymore about the scars.

I stopped taking my antidepressant about a week ago and I’m going to ask about going on a different one the next time I see her which is Tuesday and I can’t wait because she was on vacation this week.

I honest to god feel like the hospital is on the horizon whether I go there willingly (fat chance), get sectioned or after a failed suicide attempt which for the record, as suicidal as I am now I do not have a plan. I really don’t want a repeat of April 2016 where I vaguely posted about being suicidal on here and someone called the cops and they showed up unexpectedly at my house. The only thing keeping me going right now is my therapy appointments and that being said I need to make it to my next appointment so I can guarantee you that I am safe for now.

I’m really stressed out at work cause I might go back to a store I managed last May/June permanently and that scares the shit out of me because right now where I’m struggling as bad as I am I’m worried that if I have to take another leave of absence it’ll be harder if I’m the actual manager of a store versus floating around not really needed. As a floater I’m an extra set of hands and I’m easily replaceable/not really needed. Technically yes they could find coverage for me if I became the manager of a store and had to leave but I don’t want to go just to have to leave a few weeks later. I’m not planning nor have I ever in the past but I genuinely feel like I’m going to be leaving work very shortly and I’d rather take precaution about it and stay in my current position than be handed more responsibility and be a let down.

TØP Weekly Update #54: COVER ME (7/13/2018)

Finally, after months of solid drought, the barren wasteland known as the TØP fanbase has finally been blessed with rain. And not just a gentle sprinkle; it’s been a consistent heavy downpour, a veritable flood. Even before new music, this week gave us new content from the group every single day. There will probably be something new out by the time you’re done reading this. So let’s not waste any time! Here’s your week in Twenty One Pilots news.

Major News and Announcements:

This time last week, I was certain that we would be getting new music on the 6th because it was my birthday. Turns out, myself and many others in the Clique read a little too deeply into Clancy’s promise that “everything would be different” by morning. We did not receive new music on that date, which, for the record, was way earlier than most reports had pegged. The fanbase wanted music ASAP and interpreted the letter to fit that, and anyone who said the band lied about when music was coming was just not being honest with themselves.

Things were different starting last Friday. On the one-year anniversary of their departure, Twenty One Pilots directly reached out to their fans for the first time, not through the wide platform of social media, but with an email message to their mailing list.

The message only consisted of the subject line “ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING?” and a gif of an opening yellow eye, with images fitting the iconography of the Dema site flashing under the eyelid. The Clique basically lost their minds at this direct contact, so much so that major publications like Billboard finally started to report on the long gestating speculation. Everyone was excited to see the eye open over the course of the day, bringing everything full circle and culminating (presumably) with new music.

That... didn’t happen. Rather, dmaorg.info was restored after being down for only a few hours, and this gif of torches was added onto the site. This indicated that Clancy had escaped Dema, and the Clique promptly set about assuming that the next day would mark the band’s full return. Further, the name of the gif, “they_ca_ntseeFCE300″, seemed to confirm what people would be speculating ever since Josh dyed his hair nearly two years ago: the next era’s color would be yellow (specifically, FCE300) to symbolize hope and light pushing back against the dark.

The next day brought with it another update from Clancy (and the general concession among the Clique to stop expecting new music every night and just go to bed). In one of my favorite bits of attention to detail so far, Clancy’s latest journal was messily handwritten on a scrap of paper, due to the fact that he had successfully escaped Dema and was now traveling through- big shock- a region called “Trench”. The writing itself is kinda rambly and generic (so I can relate), with Tyler Clancy marveling at how much he loves being in the trees being alone out in nature. That said, I do love that there is a definite story being presented, with Clancy experiencing changes, taking action, and going on a real journey through this world that Tyler’s created.

On the back of the paper, however, is something much more interesting: a blown-out image that, when reversed, revealed a dead body. That was creepy enough as is; far more creepy was the Clique’s CSI-level discovery that this ripped photo fit with several other dmaorg.info images in a giant puzzle. Who was this man? Was this a random poster that Clancy grabbed as he escaped, or are we supposed to take it as a metaphor? Was it a random citizen of Dema? A bishop? Clancy himself? Blurryface? So many questions.

Twenty One Pilots truly made their mainstream return on July 9th, when they posted a second video of a half-opened eye, not just for hardcore fans, but on all of their social media platforms. This return was accompanied by a total overhaul of the band’s general branding: a new yellow-and-black ||-// logo was revealed for the new era, while the old “silence” banners and even the website subscription box were covered up by bright yellow tape. Billboards featuring the logo on this yellow tape aesthetic sprang up in cities all around the world, from London to Toronto, Berlin to Melbourne, even an entire building in São Paolo. The boys were back.

On Tuesday, Twenty One Pilots again returned to social media to post a second video. The eye, now about 3/4 open, depicted even more of this medieval battle, now with the addition of the Watchers on the cliff throwing... something (rocks? rose petals?) into the air. Instead of generic white noise, this clip was scored by a muffled but still obviously crunchy bass line. As radio stations across the country began to tweet about a major alternative release coming Wednesday morning (with a few even mentioning they were from Columbus), we finally knew that we were going to be ok....

New Releases:

And then I was not okay.

Early Wednesday morning, Twenty One Pilots dropped two singles and announced the names and dates for the next album, Trench, and tour, Bandito. My prediction from last week was 100% correct, and you all may thank and validate me in the comments below like and subscribe. “Jumpsuit” is our main single with a full cinematic music video, while “Nico and the Niners” is the more lore-heavy low-key song for the fans. I’m going to pull back from fully going in on picking apart every sonic and thematic element of both songs and save that for (hopefully) a less busy week, but you know I gotta write about their first new music in two years. Cause that’s what I do: I write too much.

Guys, “Jumpsuit” is a straight-up banger. Featuring a killer driving bassline, some of Tyler’s most impassioned screams, and a truly devastating bridge, I have not tired of this song one bit in the last few days. It takes me on a complete emotional journey in just four minutes every time, and it does so mainly through its soundscape (there’s only the hook, three couplet verses, and that damn bridge). It’s so, so, so, so good, potentially (dare I say it) the best sonically arranged and produced song the band has ever released.

So... what’s “Jumpsuit” about? Well, a lot of things, but in a word: pressure. Again, the lyrics are super vague, I think deliberately so. Clearly the song is about the singer feeling pressured by others into taking a path that he does not want to travel down. That bridge, delivered in an eerie detached falsetto, shows Tyler pushing back even at his weakest point, stating that he will not submit to what others want him to do unless they “grab him by the throat, tie him down, and break his hands.” Certainly you can argue that this is about the music industry. The “breaking his hands” line is killer in that context, as it signifies that the industry can’t control him without taking away the things that makes him valuable to them in the first place, his artistic ability and freedom. You can also say that it’s just playing straight into the concept, with Clancy breaking away from the bishops’ control. But the deliberate vagueness of the lyrics means that the audience can apply the message- and the empowerment of that killer bassline- to whatever struggle they are facing. That’s pretty darn rad.

The music video, directed by “Heathens” and “Heavydirtysoul”’s Andrew Donoho, is sick. Tyler (looking extra fly in his new yellow hooded jumpsuit) attempts to flee from this creepy Red Riding Hood old dude on a white horse (Nico?) through what is certainly a Game of Thrones filming location while other figures in yellow duct tape jumpsuits look on from the cliffs above. Tyler is captured by the bishop, who “smears” him by putting the black Blurryface makeup on his neck. Tyler is freed briefly from the bishop’s control when the other yellow-clad figures throw yellow petals down on him, but he is chased down knocked out or killed. The others flee the scene, save for one very handsome looking drummer boy... Oh, and there’s a bunch of intercut clips of Tyler on the car from “Heavydirtysoul” for some reason.

Besides those “Heavydirtysoul” scenes, which truthfully don’t connect much to the story of the video beyond artificially welding it onto the end of the Blurryface Era, this is one of the band’s best videos yet. It totally fulfilled all of my expectations of a more epic scope for this era, from the gorgeous Iceland setting to the dope as hell costumes to the implication that the story might continue on from this point. And there are tons of little Easter eggs, from brief flashes of the nine bishops to possible cameos from the Josephs and Duns. We don’t really know for sure if Tyler is playing Clancy or if the red dude is Nico, but it will certainly be fun to continue to fill in the blanks as we move forward and (hopefully) hear more from Tyler directly.

“Nico and the Niners” is a weird track, but one that I still absolutely love. In some ways, it’s a more traditional tøp track, with some of the raggae elements found on Blurryface and a rap verse to fit all of Tyler’s lyrics in. But in other significant ways, it’s a totally different path for them. For starters, just look at that title: it’s very explicitly about this album’s concept from top to bottom, with Tyler singing about fleeing Dema and its bishops’ control and even heavily referencing “Jumpsuit”; there’s clearly going to be a great deal of thematic cohesion in this project. But there’s also just the general vibe of it: just as “Jumpsuit” was a heavier rock song than anything we’d yet seen from the band, "Nico” is way more laid back, its repeated references to being high and even its visualizer of assorted shrubbery making it a potential stoner anthem (whether that was Tyler’s intention or not). Regardless, the song is brimming with character and hooks, and it’s already grown on me significantly in just a few days.

Oh, and one more thing: this song lives up to its Dema-referencing title and content by being cryptic af. The track is littered with reversed audio in the instrumental bits, including the “we are banditos” snippet from dmaorg.info and another sample of someone who sounds a lot like Josh saying “We will leave Dema at true east, renounce Vialism [the bishops’ ruling philosophy, alluded to be Clancy in an earlier journal].” I swear, if all it takes for Tyler to make all this stuff is a year break, he should do this after every album.

With all that new music, the fact that we finally have a name for Album 5 almost got lost in the shuffle. Trench was a popular guess over the last few days thanks to dmaorg.info, but it’s good to finally know for sure. Graphic designer Brandon Rike from the Blurryface Era is back again, revealing a cover featuring a badass-looking vulture/falcon/whatever, some new logos (including the return of FPE!), and some more yellow tape that appears to be covering the names of the rest of the album’s songs. Not too much else to say at this point; we’ll just have to wait until some of that tape gets peeled off between now and October 5th.

Finally, let’s talk about the Bandito Tour. It bears mentioning that, amidst the otherwise overwhelmingly positive positive atmosphere of the band’s return, this tour name received the most general opposition from fans and non-fans alike. The fact that “bandito” was probably going to turn up in a lyric from two decidedly white dudes was already enough to put some folks on edge, but the idea of an entire tour of predominantly non-Hispanic tweens flooding arenas and calling themselves banditos was enough to turn a few people against the band. And look, I get it- I hear “bandito” and the first things I think of are John Wayne Westerns and Speedy Gonzalez, and I get why a lot of fans might feel uncomfortable with that. But, to be fair, the band hasn’t used any of those stereotypes and banditos is a word for outlaw used in a number of Romance languages. Perhaps most interestingly, there’s not yet any evidence that the word even appears in the album itself. So far, the only appearance of “bandito” is in a coded message on dmaorg.info and in reversed audio in “Nico”. If this does turn out to be a name meant to only make sense to the most hardcore of fans, it is almost redeemed (I mean, I still think the name is a little silly, but I’m already in presale).

So, with that out of the way, let’s actually talk about the tour itself. It will be an international arena tour- even if the band’s sound is not going in a pop direction, they still clearly feel confident that the Clique will show up wherever they go. The first show will be hosted in Nashville (their first arena concert in that market) on October 16, not even two weeks after the release of the full album. What a baller move, and much preferred to the Blurryface rollout where we didn’t hear most of the songs on the record until nearly two months after the album release and they didn’t play near me for even longer. The boys will tour the U.S. until November 21, even playing arenas in a few markets that they’ve never played large venues in before, and then hit up Australia and New Zealand in December.

The most objectively interesting leg will be in Europe from January through March. Not only will the band play their first arena shows in markets like Moscow, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Central Poland, and Manchester, they will return to markets like Dublin and Glasgow they’ve been absent from for years. Most exciting, Twenty One Pilots will play their first shows in Bologna and Stuttgart and venture into the countries of Ukraine, Switzerland, Spain, and Portugal for the first time ever. Needless to say, the rabid fanbases of all of these regions are super excited, and I’m super excited for them!

Other Shenanigans:

While Tyler has continued to stay silent (much as he has since mid-Blurryface Era), Josh immediately jumped back on Twitter with a standard Josh joke and even resumed his morning workout Snapchats. On Thursday, Josh even called into BBC Radio One with Annie Mac to give a quick interview about the new era. He didn’t provide a ton of information, but it was just a delight to hear our kid’s voice again. A few tidbits of info:

Josh reported that he was calling from Trench, I hate him.

The sick bass riff on “Jumpsuit” was born from soundchecks toward the end of Emotional Roadshow. He says that, as a result, it sounds closest to the Blurryface sound, serving as a good transition into the new era. (If this is what he thinks is close to Blurryface on Trench, this album’s gonna be nutter butters.)

Both Josh and Tyler are really nervous about the elaborate rollout, both out of the usual fear that no one stuck around and out of wariness of severely disappointing people when they hear the actual music (so far, so good...)

Trench continues to have the “diverse” sound of the previous records and also was designed to be played live.

Josh also tuned into Apple Music’s Beats 1 for an interview with Hanuman Welch. This conversation was less about the new album and more about the “hiatus”. More tidbits:

The band views collaboration as a “sacred” thing, and while they’re not against it in the future, it has to be done in a context that makes sense and not merely for marketing purposes.

The band has never used the word hiatus because they’ve been working. They drew back from the spotlight to allow themselves some time to recharge, but also because they were worried of oversaturation (particularly after the Grammys pushed them into that next-level pop culture sphere). Rather than make a bunch of social media posts that didn��t mean anything just to stay relevant, the band decided to draw back, focus on music, and in the process “thin the weeds” of fans who weren’t the diehards.

For the last few albums, the music has come from a specific personal place the band was at while write, whether it be a spiritual journey with Vessel or tackling insecurities on Blurryface. Josh says the same remains true with Trench, but notes that there will be a little more fleshing out themes by working on a specific story with this one (he still says it’s not really a concept album, but ok).

Believe it or not, we are not done. While the boys were blazing a brave new path forward, another bit of content reminded us of where the band came from. Greg Wells, the producer who made Vessel the masterpiece it was, gave an hour-long interview to Billboard’s Pop Shop Podcast. He mainly speaks about getting started in the industry back in the 90s and working on the mega-blockbuster Greatest Showman soundtrack, but he does talk about Vessel for a bit approximately forty minutes into the interview. I won’t give the exact time-code, not because I’m lazy, but because the entire interview is worth listening to. Greg just seems like a rad dude. His laid-back nature and the seriousness he takes with his craft really shine through; he and Tyler must have gotten along just fine.

Community Spotlight:

The Clique took some heavy losses over the last year, as a great deal of old fans moved on to greener pastures. But that just left room for a whole host of new fans to rise to the occasion and help us get through that long drought. Today, I wanted to give a shout-out to GingerSheep and Stolen Potential, two Clique vloggers that have really kept the fanbase informed and uplifted and have been working their butts off reporting on the daily content. I know how long it takes me just to research and write one of these- I can’t imagine the work that then goes into filming and editing on top of that nearly every day. Hats off to you, good sirs. Make sure you all check out their channels if you haven’t already! But, you know, don’t stop reading these. I have bills to pay with all the Tumblr money I’m not making.

2017: Year In Review

2017 was a crazy year for me on my transgender journey. Here’s sort of a recap, as I read through all of my old posts, I guess?

January 9th: Took my first dose of medication; the start of my journey officially transitioning into a biological female. Very exciting.

January 10th: First day on meds! No morning wood! Basically no erections!

January 16th: One week in. Dysphoria subsided. Felt like I could finally start living.

January 21st: No sexual changes that I could tell of yet.

January 22nd: Had some religious contemplations. Decided to continue on with my journey.

January 25th: Two weeks in. Definitely softer skin. Novelty wearing off a bit.

January 31st: End of three weeks. Differences in smell becoming noticeable. Decided I wanted to go to senior prom in a dress, but was unsure whether it was going to happen (@ past me, don’t worry-- it’s definitely going to happen now)

February 1st: Lost my job as a tutor bc mom made me stop. Needed new way of getting money.

February 7th: One month in (Even though I think I started on the 9th??). Some depression returns.

April 13th: Big update! Ran out of estrogen pills. Running out of money. Thighs are now sensitive! Chest still sensitive! Which is an issue because korean males like to hit each others’ chests a lot. Told my school counselor that I was trans.

June 3rd: Lost track of how long I’ve been medicating. Getting better at changing my voice (as of date, I am now very good at this and am very happy with my voice). Smoller wrists! More feminine face! Existential crisis regarding whether or not I’ll ever find someone who loves me!

June 20th: Somehow scraped together the money to buy meds again. Ordered an asymmetrical hoodie while I was at it (my first self-bought feminine article of clothing!). Everyone thinks I’m 14, and I love it.

June 27th: Brother called me “she” by accident. Little happy things.

July 2nd: Went to Korea! Korean grandmothers all thought I was female! Pissed off my parents but I was happy

August 5th: Came back from church retreat. Met some very accepting freshman girls who I talked with until 4 am in the morning. Am still friends with them! They’re so great and I’m v. happy. My brother found my meds on this day, but I managed to bullshit my way to safety.

August 8th: Plucked out facial hair by hand. Ouch. Got catcalled for the first time, and told a cashier my name was Alina. Evan Low, California legislator, referred to me and my friends as “girls” when we were running our non-profit c: also got an ID photo for school and looked like an ugly girl but still a girl >>

August 16th: Started taking medication sublingually. Lots of angst about pronouns and people treating me like I’m trans rather than as a girl

August 19th: Doctor confused as fuck regarding my sudden change in BMI. No one at school seems to have noticed much.

August 24th: Took senior photo in a fucking tuxedo. Felt disgusted. Still feel disgusted four months later.

August 31st: Got a new job. $35 an hour starting salary, for two hours a week. Enough money to buy meds and some clothes. Very stressed out and tired.

September 6th: Someone who didn’t know I was trans heard me make a squealing sound when I fell and told me that I wasn’t a girl so I kicked him. Felt a little bad about it, but didn’t regret it. Mom found my jewelry, so had to bullshit my way out of that one.

September 7th: FUCK TUXEDOS. Also fuck my brother for finding out that my friends call me Alina. And teasing me about it.

September 8th/9th: FIRST TIME PRESENTING AS FEMALE IN PUBLIC. Went to a cross-school mixer. No one suspected anything and I was just,, so happy,, and I never could have imagined that I’d make it this far. Sucked going back to “normal” life at school.

September 24th: Mom found recommendation letter draft. Saw part about being transgender. Had to bullshit out of that one too.

October 3rd: Planned to buy a dress with friends!! Finally starting to feel successful.

November 5th: Friends all flaked on me; couldn’t buy a dress. Still watched No Game No Life: Zero with them, though.

October 12th: hahahaha fuck all my friends I had a mental breakdown because they made fun of me for being trans

October 17th: Spent all of my remaining money on a dress and makeup and facial hair removal cream. Sort of like a “treat yourself” kinda thing bc honestly fuck my life

October 21st: Homecoming!!??!!?!?! Possibly the best day of my life???!! Basically came out to everyone who was there and people told me I looked pretty and I felt pretty and people hit on me and it was fucking amazingasdlfjflgaldsf

October 22nd: Posted homecoming pictures on instagram!!! Lots of positive reactions!! I love my friends

October 26th: I hate my friends theyre dicks and they make fun of me for being trans and I cried during a friends date I don’t hate all my friends just some of them sometimes most of them are actually pretty great

November 6th: Decided to double my dosage after like 10 months or something! Old people have started to double take on my gender! All around good stuff except for the fact that I ran out of money and am going to get meds two weeks after I run out

November 8th: Being off of meds starts getting to me. Dysphoria is coming back.

November 11th: Church sleepover thing. Hated being there. Didn’t feel like I fit in with any of them. Still don’t.

November 15th: Bought a razor!! Basically a magic hair removal wand!! Am very amazed. Everything feels so smooth. Medication arrived!! Happy girl is happy.

November 19th: I suck at shaving and I cut myself everywhere but its worth it

November 23rd: Aunts and uncles came over. Transphobia ensued.

November 30th: College apps asdfhjlgashdlfjadfhl?? But also bought shittons of clothing!!! Met someone who made me feel super insecure because she was so naturally cute!!

December 5th: Someone sent me $1100 in bitcoins what the actual fuck is this angel

December 7th: I feel like my mom knows. I can sense it. (Spoiler alert: I was right)

December 17th: Had a joint bible study at church with girls and guys mixed. Felt very resentful that I was denied a childhood with the girls class at my church. Hated being there. Once the class was divided by gender, I just left. Didn’t come back.

December 18th: Feeling okay. Voice is still high. Am glad I practiced it since seventh grade.

December 22nd: Mom bought me cute clothes! Also speaking of cute clothes someone moved stuff in my drawer it looks like?? (Spoiler: it was my mom)

December 23rd: Mom found out I was trans. GG rip. She took it better than I thought she would, where shes definitely not supportive, but told me she couldnt stop me. Still, going to be a long ride

December 26th: Went to a counselor that i was set up with to see if I was “really” trans (spoiler: i am). He was pretty nice and understanding.

December 27th: The first of what would turn into weekly talks about my transness and my mom reconsidering her leniency. I hate my life. Also, met an old childhood friend before I went on my church retreat. Was very surprised at how feminine I’d gotten. Was very happy.

December 29th: People at my church are so accepting its great. I should come out to the senior girls class but idk how :/

December 31st: Mom walks in again, complains about how much she hates that I’m trans and whatnot. Fuck that noise. I’m going into the new year; new year new me. I don’t care what my parents think or what happens. This is who I am. This is how far I’ve gotten. I’ve gotten this far without them, and I will continue to go on as such. This is my life y’all.

Most of us impose on others how we would feel and what we would do if we were them. My mother will be 91 on Christmas Day and our caregiver and I might want her to watch this, or do that - and she just looks at us like, “uh no.” We all super-impose our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, knowing and emotions onto others as to how WE would handle their situation. But keep in mind, we’re not in their situation and we're all on our own unique journey. We haven’t lived their lives regardless of what we think they should do or how they should react, they still have their own positionality and free will. By working on and fishing on yourself, and then also doing that for others - it can make all the difference in the world.

With the September days upon us, now’s as good a time as any to update ourselves on pre-season news before The CW‘s “Arrowverse” shows return.

With Arrow shuffling off the network’s programming coil after an abbreviated eighth season (making The Flash the “elder states-show” of the “Arrowverse” as it speeds into its sixth season), Ruby Rose-starrer Batwoman joining the family alongside Supergirl, and a looming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover that could change things dramatically (more on that below), the 2019-2020 season isn’t exactly going to be lacking in change – and the news hasn’t slowed down.

Arrow co-star Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) and David Ramsey (John Diggle) are keeping the promotional machine for the show’s final season rolling along, as Oliver prepares to say goodbye in more ways than one – as a “Crisis” looms. Here are some highlights:

● While Oliver may be taking on this mission knowing full well it’s a one-way trip, he won’t be alone: as you can see from the image above, Diggle will be there – from start to foreboding finish (“Diggle is as he should be, at Oliver’s side. That’s how we begin this season. And ultimately, that’s how we end it.” – Ramsey)

● Fans know Oliver and Diggle need someone to keep them out of trouble and save their butts from time to time – and that’s where Katie Cassidy Rodgers‘ Laurel Lance aka Black Siren comes in. Amell believe fans will be surprised and appreciate the trio’s new dynamic this season: “Their dynamic is incredible. A good chunk of what we’re doing will be with the three of them in a way that they haven’t been before.”

● So how well have things been working out for the trio so far? Amell sounds pretty happy:

“I’ve loved our scenes in the first two episodes. I thought it was important at the end of season 7, us shaking hands and Oliver saying thank you. It was scripted to the group, but I wanted to make sure, going into season 8, that it was actually to her and that they shook hands, because as character I purposefully never called her Laurel until that moment. So her being the mix this year, it’s been a lot of fun. I think she’s nailing it.”

● Following up on Arrowverse guru Marc Guggenheim promise that this season would be a “greatest hits” of the previous season, Amell offered some more details: “Episode 1 is like season 1, episode 2 is about a very specific part of season 3. Episode 3 is about a very specific part of the latter half of season 3. Every episode feels like an event. It feels like a limited series.”

The Road to “Crisis on Infinite Earths”

Viewers can’t say they weren’t warned in advance. At the end of 2018’s CW Arrowverse “Elseworlds” crossover that brought together The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl (and nearly DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, but they let it go to machine – way too busy for all that), we saw that the end was only the beginning… of the end. As Barry (Grant Gustin) and Oliver (Amell) shared what felt like a final toast and Kate Kane’s Batwoman (Rose) returned to protecting the streets of Gotham – with a sense that something felt a little off – we got a small taste of what’s still to come in 2019…

“Crisis on Infinite Earths!” Worlds will live! Worlds will die!

And the CW’s “Arrowverse” will never be the same…

The season’s eighth episode will be the “Crisis” crossover episode – comprising the fourth hour of the crossover:

Supergirl – Sunday, December 8th (8/7c)

Batwoman – Monday, December 9th (8/7c)

The Flash – Tuesday, December 10th (8/7c)

Arrow – Tuesday, January 14, 2020 (8/7c)

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – Tuesday, January 14, 2020 (9/8c)

Black Lightning will also be represented during the crossover event… and yes, legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy will star as a future version of Bruce Wayne. If that wasn’t enough, Tyler Hoechlin will be returning as “The Man of Steel”… alongside the crossover’s other Superman (expecting this number to grow): Brandon Routh (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), returning to the cape for the first time since his cinematic turn. Johnathon Schaech’s Jonah Hex (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) is also set to saddle up for the crossover, and John Wesley Shipp will be reprising his role as The Flash of Earth-90.

For most of their respective seasons, things have been “All Quiet on the ‘Crisis’ Front” when it came to Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl – but that changed in a big way during their respective season finales… even for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow!

In Arrow season finale “You Have Saved This City,” the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) returns to cash in on the favor that Oliver owes him: help him save the multiverse – taking a moment to tell him the “fine print”: Oliver’s going to die during “Crisis” and there’s nothing the Monitor can do to stop it.

Then there’s that matter of Future Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and the trip she’s taking with the Monitor to see Oliver… somewhere… and it’s apparently a place she can’t come back from. Hmmm…

Over at The Flash season finale “Legacy,” some recent maneuverings with Time moved up the date on Barry’s “red skies/2024” newspaper warning just a wee bit… to say, 2019?

The fourth season finale of Supergirl “The Quest for Peace” had The Monitor speaking to a hooded figure, telling him that now is the time for him to lead “his people” and to take revenge on his captor… and brother: J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood). Meanwhile, just because Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) may have shuffled off this mortal coil (???) doesn’t mean his role in the upcoming “Crisis” is over quite yet…

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season finale “Hey, World!” found the plan to take down Neron (Brandon Routh) resulting in a major status quo change for Zari (Tala Ashe) – a change that the suddenly-appearing Monitor does not appear to approve of in any way, shape, or form. At least he got some popcorn out of it – and yes, that is The Book of Destiny he’s using to balance it.

The CW’s Batwoman and Supergirl premiere Sunday, October 6; while The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 8, with Arrow joining them on October 15. Black Lightning premieres the following week, on Monday, October 21.

Practice Notes: Coach Ashley is reaching out to the school admin this week to see if we can get a definite date for using the NPHS pool. We are both holding out hope the pool is ready for practice on the 3rd. I will update as soon as more is known.

Fall and Winter Season

Our on-line registration for the fall and winter is now open. Our first practices will be the Tuesday after Labor Day, September 3rd. The fall/winter meet schedule is finalized. We will be attending some different meets this winter with the hopes more swimmers will be able to participate. We are scheduled for two meets at the new Elkhart Aquatic Center in November If anyone has any questions about the schedule, just let me know.

I have started the fall practice schedule and the first two months for both sites are completed. Once I am able to get high school meet schedules I will do the remaining months. Just as a reminder, the calendar on our website is tentative and should be used as a guideline and all practices listed at NPHS are CST. The weekly emails are the most up to date schedule we will have so please use those for planning your week. If there are any last minute changes those will be communicated on our website, through email, and our social media sites.

Easy Money

Thank you to the 25 families that have already registered. Every year the majority of our families wait until the day of or day before our first practice to sign up. This has left us a little short handed for practices. To alleviate this I am making the offer to all of our returning families if they register before midnight tonight, August 18th you will be entered in a drawing to win $25 credit to your swim club account. Please, if you are planning on being part of the club register soon.

For those of you on Facebook you may have seen our post/advertisement about the fall registration. The post has been shared 40 times! If you share this post you will also be entered in a drawing to win $25 credit to your swim club account.

Finally we are offering an incentive to families who bring in new swimmers. For every new Group 1 swimmer credited to your family you could earn a $10 credit, for Group 2 $15, and for Group 3 $20. These credits will appear on your swim club account after the new swimmers have gone through their 2nd month billing cycle. For example, if a swimmer registers in September you will see the credit on your account November 2nd.

New USA Swimming Guidelines-MAAPP

USA Swimming issued a new directive with regards to electronic communication and social media contact between coaches and athletes. Most of what is being implemented is common sense and falls in line with our club's policies. One new requirement we will need to adhere to is how your minor child communicates with me. For several years I have asked swimmers in Group 2 and Group 3 to text/email me if they would be missing practice. Moving forward, swimmers will be instructed to include a parent on all communication with me.

If you are the parent of a Group 2 or Group 3 swimmer, and have never sent me a text before, please text me so I have your contact info in my phone. This way if I need to contact your swimmer about missing practice I can be sure to include you. My cell phone number is 574-276-6057.

I encourage all parents and swimmers to read the full policy. We are required to keep this policy on our website, here is the link.

Advertising Credit A Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees, concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is approximately $550 for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.) If you were able to sell two of the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees! Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information. Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club. Fall and Winter Meet Schedule/Dates of Meet/Location/Deadline to commit

The deadlines are based on deadlines that were set last year (or best guess for new meets). They may change once the meet hosts posts the meet information. When committing to multiple day meets please if the option to select the days you want is not available, please leave a message in the available notes section of the specific days you would like to attend. Updates for 21-22 Oct 2017:

DBSuper: Tournament continues w/ Earth the property of Universe 6 if Beerus's team loses to Champa's team. Vegeta then takes on Hit, the strongest team member from Universe 6. Using time travel, Hit easily defeats the Saiyaan prince. Goku now faces this unusual assassin warrior who is a millenium old! Goku feels him out before going to Super Saiyaan first like vegeta did. Goku soon discovers Hit's secret time travel trick and is using it against the big blowhard. Who will win? Find out 5-6 Novenber weekend.

DBZ Kai: While Gohan struggles to master the Z Sword on Kai World and the kids (Trunks & GoTen) try to master 'fusion' on the Lookout, Babidi & Buu continue their reign of terror on Earth. At long last, Goku returns to Otherworld w/ Baba where king Yema informs him that Gohan is not dead yet. Videl tells the gang that she senses that Gohan is still alive- somewhere. Buu builds himself a house out of people turned into clay and continues his rampage. In a rare show of kindness, Buu restores a blind boy's sight and then creates a carton of milk for the lad from a poor delivery guy. Goku meets his son Gohan on the Kai World and Gohan manages to break the Z Sword thus proving that it is the sword's wielder (Goku also handled the Z blade w/ ease) who will have the ability to defeat Buu. The old mustachioed Supreme Kai (From 15 regenerations ago) appears to Kibita, Shin, Goku and Gohan with a revelation for them.

Jojo's BA: Joseph's 'bugbite' on his arm is revealed as a Stand who almost kills him after killing a doctor in India. The cops think Joseph's the killer. Finally, Joseph's Hamon Stand defeats The Empress (Enya) who was the young harem girl. As she dies, the sorceress reverts to her true old crone form. On towards Egypt for the 4 friends.

Gundam:Iron-Blooded Orphans: Orca now leads Tekkaman's kids as advisors to the now allies Gallahorn but all is not so peaceful. More battles and the Boss engineer tells a Tekkadan 17 year old boy that he is too old for the surgery he needs to undergo to pilot a mobile suit Gundam. Kudelia chats w/ her boyfriend who is the best pilot in Tekkadan. Tekkadan & Gjallahorn forces ally to defeat the Dawn Horizon pirates who are forced to retreat.

Hunter x Hunter: Several teams band together to defeat the Bomber team by hoarding catds. HxH seems to be turning into a cross vetween Yu-Gi-Oh and Sword Art Online. With the combined tactics of Hisoka, Gon and Killua, Razor is at last defeated. He gives Gon news of Jin, Gon's father and the gang heads into battle against the Bomber. Well, almost. The big guy with the team that has defeated the pirates agrees (For a 75 card) to draw Bomber's fire while Killua's injuries heal- 3 more weeks. Bisky, Killua and Gon leave the area and hope to avoid Bomber. Hisoka leaves the groups in search of the Phantom Troupe.

Lupin III: Lupin takes a day off with Zenigata hot on his heels. Lupin, Goemon and Jigen are on their way to a sushi restaurant when Lupin drops a bimbshell. Seems he's agreed to help out Fujiko by delivering Josephine, a doggie belonging to a rich fat lady to Fujiko when the cruise ship she's aboard makes landfall at port. Lupin avoids Pops persistent pursuits and does a Duke Boys' number with his car when he jumps from the Cape to the ship's deck. The dog bites his mistress (She refuses to pay the reward to Fujiko) and swims back to shore where he is befriended by 3 co-eds.

Naruto S: The tale of Iruka Sensei and Naruto concludes and we are back to Sasuke and his new gang who are on their way back to the Leaf Village while the Okatsuke rethink their plans. Now they are after the 8 tailed Beast.

Outlaw Star: Arriving at a faroff outpost, Gene, jimbo, Melvina and Twilight part ways for awhile. Twilight has 'business' to attend to but promises to meet them back at the Star. Gene and Jimbo go after a notorious outlaw (10K Wongs reward) and manage to defeat an Android version of the bad guy for a 2K Wongs reward. Mel is left to her own devices and expores the shops. Twilight arrives back with the gang, having defeated the real culprit and collected her 10K Wongs reward. Gene cannot wait to split this world!

Cowboy Bebop: Heavy Metal Queen is 'VT', a space rig 'trucker' who joins forces w/ Faye and Spike to bring down a bounty head named Decker who has stolen a shipment of unstable explosives. We learn how to make a hangover cure called a 'Prairie Oyster'- Yuck! VT has an ongoing bet with a fat stack of Woolongs to the winner. Just guess what VT stands for and win! Spike wins by guessing Victoria Terpsichore, the widow of the famed bounty hunter Terpsichore. However, he takes only a hundred Woolong note for his share and tells VT to buy her hubby a Prairie Oyster with the rest. This eppy inspired me to create 'Trucks In Space' which has become an ongoing part of my fanfictions.

Ghost/Shell: 2nd Gig: In the first eppy from this 2nd season of GITS, the Section Nine gang, headed by Najor Makoto Kucinagi rescues hostages from a group known as the Individual Eleven. They take out all of the 11 members of this hostile refugee group despite the red tape and slow paperwork from the Home Secretary and the new Prime Minister who looks a lot like Chief Aramaki's wine cellar friend in the London eppy 'Angel's Share' from the first season. Who can name all 8 members of Section Nine? Who knows who the 9th member(s) is/are? Hint- They ain't human!

A New Start! JinkiesJanee96 has taken Ownership of Mythical Creatures and become your new Shadow Lady! With this new change, Mythical Creatures will most likely say farewell to it's beloved site, and changes to Mythical Creatures are coming. Jane will be taking input from Members based on what they want MC to become and why they joined in the first place (SO PSN MESSAGE OR MAIL HER YOUR THOUGHTS). Should Jane require the Website, I will keep it running for her so long as she tell me what I need to do to make that happen, whether it be changing pages like 'About Section', removing pages like 'Activity Duel', or simply just updating the News. I, HighKey21 will continue to login from time to time, mostly for PvP; and am sorry that I didn’t come through with the Year 1 Anniversary Activity Duel.

The Bounty Hunter Rank is under the Mythical Overseer Rank however is higher than the Mythical Mercenary Rank. This Rank may be attained by completing a Normal Trial in a group with another Guild Member. Screenshots are required to apply for it.

Due to some complications that occured in an Allied Guild that I, HighKey21 was taking part of, we have expanded to Host PVP Systems as an Add-On to the Guild. Things are still being worked out and many Updates to the site are coming soon to explain everything more in Depth. But for the time being, Mythical Trader and Mythic Merchant Ranks have been discontinued and replaced by Mythic Mercenary, a new Starter Rank and Mythic Overseer, a new Officer Rank to look after the Mercenaries.

Morrowind has arrived. And with it, a huge update. We understand that the update may seem very large to withstand without even purchasing Morrowind as well as the fact that it may take time. The Activity Rewards System Has Arrived!

Members now receive rewards every Sunday based on their Rank per day that they logged in during the week! Original Rank System Members may receive a maximum of 5 days worth of rewards each week; Trader Rank System Members may receive a maximum of 7 days worth of rewards each week.

Rewards:

Tigress Ranked Members receive 75 Gold/Day logged in.

Officer Ranked Members receive 50 Gold/Day logged in.

Racial Ranked Members receive 40 Gold/Day logged in.

Merchant Ranked Members receive 50 Gold/Day Logged in.

Trader Ranked Members receive 25 Gold/Day logged in.

So wait, I almost spent like 25$; and they didnt even create a house? They just took one from their Monkey Slaying Area is what I’m saying? Correct. And the Original, is fucking on AURIDON? So, yeah; today i sent a ticket to ESO and we’ll see in Part Two~

Another Traitor, Covered in My Armor

Today, I woke-up after watching some anime with JinkiesJanee96, Original 1st Wave Member; Tigress Ranked Member, to find out that people have been taking things out of the guild bank; again. Today, we learnt that traitors in MC still exist (IKR, like tf just dont join). This time, however; they were new to the Guild, and taking Items from the Bank that were of no use to them, due to the fact that they were below level 20. They were taking purple 160 champion gear in order to sell them in other Guild Traders, so that they could purchase a cheap, staple home. Classy. After taking the majority, Sanji-Ludger, Original 3rd Wave Member, Forfeited the Guild in an attempt to clear the Bank History. #FAIL because as you can see, I always check the Bank, as if it's my Religion; I am the Defender of the Guild, Jane; The Seeker of Lies. This serves as a grim reminder that the Guild Bank is used for things that others may actually need, not as a platform to fund your Trading in other Guilds. Upon bringing it up, both Members denied their actions and have so forth been Kicked from Mythical Creatures. They will not be returning. Should by some stroke of luck that someone else attempts to recruit them, both parties will be kicked from the Guild. Good luck~

Farewell to AtreyuTheGrey and XultedXileX; both Mythical Trader Ranked Members of the 3rd Wave, whom have forfeited the Guild.

One of Two responses have been given, a decision has been made.

5 Days ago, a banned Member (mciver72) from the 1st Wave of Players was re-invited anonymously to MC while i was offline. There were only two Members with Recruitment Permissions which were online within the time period that I was offline for. When a Member is recruited to MC, it is custom for the recruiter to either Mail me (HighKey21) in-game, PSN Message me, Disqus Comment on the Site, or even Whatsapp me via the Whatsapp Group MC has established. All of these means of communication have been given to allow the utmost capabilities for Members of MC to follow the rules and create a friendly community within ESO. We did not mind the fact that a Member in MC still wanted mciver72 to be in MC and allowed him the right to stay under Trader Ranks, however we did wish for one of the two potential recruiters to step up and confirm that it was their doing. We gave 3 days to allow this Member the opportunity. Only one of the 2 Members responded, and they claimed to not even so much as know whom the banned Member was. The other logged in, we’re assuming that they saw the Message of the Day notification which informed them that they needed to visit the News part of the site. Either they did not check the site, or they simply ignored it.

Regardless of the 4 ways of communication mentioned above, TheMayStation; Member of the 2nd Wave of Players, currently holding Officer Rank with a total of 29.5 Activity Points; has failed to even so much as deny making the Recruitment; and by doing so, has lost our trust. We have saved this Officer’s Activity Rank Progress and will continue to add to it in the background; however for the foreseeable future, this Member will be locked to Mythical Trader Rank. This is until we learn that we can trust this Member once again.

It is with great displeasure that we always take every precaution when making decisions like this, because we are forced to make another precautionary measure just to solidify our course of action. We have saved another Member’s current Activity Progress and will continue to add to it in the background while locking them to Mythic Merchant Rank; this is due to the fact that wintercrawler, Legacy League Player, currently holding Officer Rank with a total of 28.5 Activity Points, was the initial recruiter to TheMayStation; and we are aware of their friendship. Please note that due to the fact that wintercrawler is a Legacy League Player and is still widely trusted by us, he will not be thrown straight to Mythical Trader Rank, and is instead in Mythic Merchant Rank; which is an Officer Rank. Mythic Merchant Rank is usually a Rank for Traders who have donated gold and we are aware that him being in this rank breaks the very rule which separates this rank from Trader Rank, however this entire situation has been unexpected and we felt that this was the best way to handle it.

Beastman856 has been proven to not be the Member to reinvite mciver72,

Instead; evidence has been drawn towards TheMayStation; Officer Ranked Member of the 2nd Wave, or BasedMatt; Tigress Ranked Member of the 2nd Wave. Whomever recruited mciver72 is expected to come forward and say so, no consequences will be made however let it be noted that Officer and Tigress Ranked Members are expected to message HighKey21 after recruiting any Members. The fact that whoever did this did not follow that rule, and did not say anything about it after blame was quickly and wrongfully flagged at beastman856, is disgraceful; to say the least. An answer is expected within the next 3 days; however that shouldn't be a problem due to the fact that both of these Members are highly active and login if not every day, every other day.

Due to my mistake, in an attempt to right it; I have given 3000 Gold that I recently deposited into the Guild Bank to Beastman856. I apologize.

banned for making fun of serious and offensive matters, however having still found his way back into Mythical Creatures via a Friend whom we were unaware the two shared a connection. Thanks to beastman856 (Either BasedMatt or TheMayStation); Original 3r(2n)d Wave Member, we have decided to allow mciver72 his entry and stay in Mythical Creatures under one condition; he joins the ranks of Mythical Traders instead of the Original Ranking System: Activity Rank.

In the future, should a matter like such occur; we hope that Members Officers will talk to us prior to taking such measures to ensure that your friends join Mythical Creatures if it is something that they feel as passionate about as mciver72 has shown. In the end, we like to encourage friendships within the Guild, and that is the reason as to why mciver72 has been allowed to stay. Moral of the story: Even if some of the higher ups don't believe someone like this should be welcome in Mythical Creatures, so long as they have a friend somewhere who believes otherwise, it's good enough for us.

A lot has happened that’s went uncovered in the News as of late, so let’s try and just put it here~

BasedMatt has completed his solo Verse queue successfully and has Ascended to Officer Rank!

NonsagashuS and TheMayStation have taken the lead for their versing in 1st Wave Members! With an impressive perfect 10 points and counting, we have decided that both players may Ascend so long as they reach as high as 15/17 points; however to further clarify, they are still rivaling. If one of the two misses a day that the other does not, they will not Ascend. They may miss days by having both of them not log in at all the very same day, with a maximum of 2 days.

One of our Legacy League Players, KingMugen47 has returned and has been placed into the 3rd Wave of Activity Versing!

KingMugen47, an original Legacy League Player, was inactive for a long period of time and upon rejoining, was given the opportunity to Ascend to an Officer Rank at an accelerated rate, if he was able to be active 10/15 set days. He was inactive for 6 days and failed the opportunity. He is now Descended to Wave 3 and will have to work his way back up without the benefits of his League Status.

After a few days of investigating and general snooping about, we discovered who the theif was in the guild. He stole all of our rare items, mostly the ones donated by Hajpiays (sorry Haj T-T ), he did so when JinkieJanee96 and I were busy and while we were in the very same party as him. When he invited ThrobbinRobyn, we were so busy doing a dungeon that we had not noticed the Guild Bank History. When it happened, I took action and wrote posts about it, and blocked off recruiting to the Guild. I believe he saw this as smart and grew respect for the guild, or just wanted to continue using it under our noses, so he replaced the majority of the stuff with “stuff from my other characters”, however there were a few flaws with his story. He had to have been stealing from another guild to have amassed the amount of items that he did in such a short time frame, or he already had them; because they were already ares. He simply didn’t care for the “junk” and made off with the rares. But after making off with them, he was still in our Party Chat and we were able to talk to him and grow close to him over the past few days to uncover more evidence. He claimed to have bought or found the majority of the items that were stolen, and even gave one to JinkieJanee96 (one of the Witches Pouches); I wrote down the names he claimed to now possess, and atleast 7 of them matched with the ones stolen. He also put back a few of the Assassin’s league recipes, only to be taken out by his friend within a two hour time period. Yes, over the course of the few days he has invited several Members to the Guild. We believe that they’re using our bank as a way to hold many of the things that they may be stealing from other guilds before they craft with them. We believe that they are a Guild Swiping Guild. It is due to this that we are not only expelling him from the Guild, but we are expelling his friends as well.

Our Guild Bank was stolen today by ThrobbinRobyn. He was not a member to the guild and was invited anonymously; not intended as an Invite for the Recruit Event as no one attempted to begin the claim process for the Reward. He joined, took everything from the Guild Bank and left before we had noticed the Guild History. We have banned him; we have two suspicions on who the member could have been who invited him - this is a difficult situation to deal with and hope that you have patience in us. We will get to the bottom of it. Due to this, we have temporarily disabled the Invite feature; should you wish to continue participating in the Recruitment Event, please message a Guild Officer or HighKey21 - sorry for the inconvenience
