Eternal drabness
The air feels dusty and unclean,
Although its the season of spring,
The grass has lost it's green,
The roses have lost their red,
Unceasing thought streaming inside my head.
There is some sort of drabness about them,
There is a sort of drabness about me,
I've lost my brightness,
For which roads led me this lifeless?
I look up to the sky,
With these cloudy eyes,
And it started raining again.
Soon the grass will be greener,
The roses will be redder,
As they dance together in the rain.
And if I dance with them, maybe it will wash my pain,
And yes I will gain,
This opportunity, to forget my drabness,
To wipe it away.

farmacy green clean cleansing balm.
this brand is really popular for their cleansing balm and when i saw this sample size on sephora, i picked it up to give it a try and would like to know why everyone seems to like it so much.
since it’s sample size, it’s very convenient for travelling, as i really don’t like carrying the big tub or bottle of cleansing oil with me, this is really handy for short trips. and the packaging is a mini version of the full size which is so cute.
the balm is light green color, and it does melt very easily without effort. the scent is very similar to baby shampoo for some reason, it does give me a nostalgic feeling. the cleansing balm is pretty easy and straight forward to use, just like any other balms.
it does wash away quite easily without leaving any film or weird feeling on the skin, which is how i like my cleansing balm to be. and you may choose to use a foam or gel cleanser after if you wish to, which is normally what i do, but i figured since it does wash away everything, i guess it could possibly be okay to use this as the only cleanse if needed.
since this is a western brand and is on sale in sephora, it does cost more than the korean brand ones, which is what i normally use. so i would not purchase the full size one but could consider getting more of these mini ones for my future travels because of the nice size and convenience.

Beauty is a Ritual
It is what brings us back to ourselves. In the morning, we get ready for public view. In remote work environments, we have to be “camera ready” for client or peer meetings. We do our hair, prep our skin, and put on a nice shirt (no one cares about pants, but please still wear them). We present our best selves to the world.
One of my favorite parts of my beauty rituals is at the end of the day. Especially on a rough day. It feels so good to re-center yourself by washing off the day. It doesn’t matter if it was bad or good. Just wash off all that happened and reset so I can be with my loved ones.
This is just a small part of my ritual.
What is your favorite beauty ritual?

"I hope that this film will lead to someone changing their actions": Ikunosuke Okazaki on his socially-conscious and hip drama Wash Away うぉっしゅ [Osaka Asian Film Festival 2024 Interview]
In the space of two films, Ikunosuke Okazaki has emerged on the international scene with titles that show he has a flare for visuals and a canny way of drawing out the darkness of society in a light-hearted manner in ways that are sure to surprise viewers and keep them engaged in heavy subject matter. His debut feature, Encouragement of Euthanasia (2022), featured a maladjusted lead protag head…

☾ ☯ ☽
If I can see beauty in the ugliest crimes and watch flowers bloom from the rotting corpses, does this make me a monster?  Or is it that I'm too human? Too feeling to be able to do anything with it? I've always been wrapped up in others perspectives I have lost which one is my own. Who am I? The monster that consumes emotion only to turn around and stab it in the back with a blade stained of reasoning? Would this make me wrong? Would this make me less human? Does it matter? I begged for someone to answer these questions for me, I no longer have the knowledge to answer them myself anymore.
⤜𓄿⤛
Sometimes I dream of laying down my dirty and stained clothes and tracing my fingers across each inch of my body, feeling my skin, confirming it's still authentic, still mine. Hand to my chest I feel my heart pump life into me, unrelenting despite it all. I step myself into the fountain known to give youth and I wash away all I've tracked on my way here, ridding myself of the filth and dread. I wash away the sins I could never attest to and the ones I could, washing my years away. I crave to go back to where I began, where I wasn't anything but myself. I want to be reborn.
