SICK DAYS WITH WAKASHIN!!

note : wakashin for (late) valentines day!! i was sick yesterday so that's what kind of inspired this. ALSO!! i wrote these to take place after the black dragons disbanded and shinichiro opened his shop so like waka still has his white hair n stuff but you are free to read it in any timeline you want it won't change shit n i don't care. anyways, enjoy!
when wakasa is sick
when wakasa is under the weather he usually just let's himself become completely bedridden. he doesn't try to fight against his sickness but rather just accepts it and melts away in his bed, waiting for it to pass over with occasional intakes of meds and soup.
because of this, he doesn't like to leave his bed unless absolutely necessary, nor see anyone except shinichiro. (with the rare exception of takeomi & benkei ofc.)
after hearing about his boyfriend falling ill, shinichiro immediately signs himself up as wakasa's caretaker out of force of habit. even if waka tells him he can take care of himself, shin won't budge.
shinichiro always brings him bed trays of 'sick foods' and keeps track of his eating. if waka refuses the food or doesn't eat much of it, shin tries to encourage him so he can eat more. wakasa will make side comments, telling shinichiro to “stop treating me like a child”, but he knows waka appreciates it.
shin sticks around whenever waka is ill just cause he's worried. his least favorite thing is not being able to see his boyfriend and even more than that, wakasa being in pain. so he's always keeping a close eye on him.
PLAYING WITH HAIR!! shinichiro loves to run his hands through waka's soft hair regardless but he does it when he's ill as a way to distract wakasa if he feels any pain from his sickness. the feeling always sends waka straight to sleep, which shin finds adorable.
but, if shinichiro tries to pull away before wakasa wants him to, he'll mumble weakly and pat around for shin's hand, grabbing it, and putting it back on his head. shin really thinks he can't get any cuter.
if shinichiro can't visit waka he'll BLOW up his phone with texts. wakasa never has the energy to reply but he'll call shin once or twice just to avoid worrying him.
waka is the type to sleep through his sick days. if shinichiro is over he'll join him in the bed despite wakasa's protests of “stop it you'll get sick dumbass.” though wakasa never makes a physical effort to stop him. part of it because he secretly craves the intimacy just as much as shin and the other part just being lazy as shit.
grandpa sano will constantly call in, asking when shin will be home and reminding him to keep his distance so he doesn't get sick too. but he'll always wish wakasa to get well soon!
despite grandpa sano's (AND wakasa's) warnings however, shinichiro can't keep proper distance away from his boyfriend. he's so used to being all over him that he doesn't want it any different, even if he's sick. it always ends with shin falling ill later because he can't keep his hands to himself, which wakasa berates him for constantly. don't blame him! he just loves his boyfriend okay?
when shinichiro is sick
unlike waksa, shinichiro tries to fight against his sickness. he'll hide it and still try to work in his shop or look after his siblings but it's obvious to everyone around him that he's out of it. so grandpa sano, mikey, and emma force him into his room, not allowing him out to go to work till he's in top shape again.
now unlike shinichiro, to no surprise, wakasa isn't the best caretaker. but he takes the job into his own hands regardless cause he cares for his dumbass boyfriend. (he also doesn't want to stress grandpa sano out even more since now he has to fully look after emma and mikey because of shin's forced absence.)
when wakasa comes to visit, shin is beaming. he's immediately throwing teasing remarks about how “the dangerous white leopard is a softie for is sick ol' boyfriend.” and shit. waka is quick to tell him to shut the fuck up while handing him a bowl of his favorite soup.
shinichiro tries to bribe wakasa often so he can go back to work and/or get back in line with his other responsibilities. saying that he'll take waka on a lovely date if he just tells grandpa sano he's well again.
wakasa will never budge but he does hold shinichiro's promise of that “lovely date” to him once he's actually better.
if waka stays long enough to see shinichiro fall asleep he'll plant a quick kiss on his forehead before leaving, he's weary of the act of affection since he doesn't want to get sick himself but he'll do it nonetheless.
besides that minor act of affection, wakasa keeps his proper distance. shin complains about not being able to kiss and hold waka while he just rolls his eyes, promising his boyfriend all the physical affection he desires when he's feeling better.
hoodie lending!! normally, wakasa is the clothes stealer in the relationship but since he refuses to be close to shinichiro when he'll lend him one of his hoodies to wear (if it even fits lmao) (it won't) or just have with him.
if waka can't visit he'll call shinichiro since he knows he likes to hear his voice over a text. though shin whines about his boyfriend's absence to any family member who checks in on him, much to their annoyance.
waka berates shinichiro whenever he doesn't take his machine. he'll never fully admit it but he does get paranoid when shin seems to be ill longer than normal so he keeps track of shinichiro's medicine intake. shin will claim he's worried over nothing and waka will call him a hypocrite.
if wakasa starts to show symptoms he might have accidentally picked up from shinichiro, his boyfriend is quick to try and turn the tables, wanting to look after waka when he himself is far from feeling any better. waka will sit him down, telling him he's not the one who needs care right now and he'll deal with it later because shin's recovery is the only important thing to him right now.
